Bakugo Expelled
Chapter twenty-one: A tragic confrontation at Takoba National Stadium
It was the night before the morning where the fifty-three hero course students that made up U.A.'s team for the team battle event would have their team battle event against the team that was visiting from a foreign high school in the United States. The first years were relaxing in their respective dorm buildings, trying to keep themselves as calm as possible, even knowing full well that they were all about to head into a battle that they all had no realistic shot at winning. After all, their opponents were bringing someone that was at a level of legendary power.
In the main area of the dorm building for class 1-A, Bakugo walked in from the kitchen area, only to be surprised when he saw that Izuku was sitting on the sofa as Uraraka was cuddled right up close to him. Bakugo was too far away to hear what the two of them were saying, but he could guess that the gravity girl was scared, and that Izuku was trying to reassure her that, even with the power that the opposing team was packing, things won't end all that badly. Even if they all lose to the Americans, it's only just one competition event.
As Bakugo stood there, he was met up by Todoroki. The two-toned boy looked over to where Bakugo was looking, saw Izuku with Uraraka cuddled right up to him. Todoroki let out a knowing sigh. "…It's times like this that made me wish that Reiko and I were in the same class, rather than me in one and her and the other."
"How do you think I feel, IcyHot?" Bakugo replied, "What if Pony's freaking out the same as Round Face over there? I'm not at the 1-B dorm to be there for her."
Todoroki nodded once in acknowledgement, appreciating that, in a rather rare turn of events, he and Bakugo were actually on the same page. He let out a sigh before he went on, "I don't care what my father says, or what Yaoyorozu's father wants. I'm staying with Reiko."
The explosive teen let out an annoyed scoff. "The fuck do old farts like those two think even gives them the right to control your life and Ponytail's life like that? You two are your own fucking people, you know."
Todoroki let off a dry, bemused hum. He gently shook his head, a disappointed and mildly upset look on his face. "…Try telling that to my father. As far as he's concerned, I'm nothing more than a tool to him for him to use to keep himself at the very top."
It still disappointed Bakugo that Enji Todoroki, also known as the Flame Hero Endeavor, had been doing so well in reforming into being an actual proper person, but then as quick as he had made that progress, he regressed to a point well before square one, become worse than he had ever been in the process. The ashy-haired boy still had no idea what could have caused such a drastic turnaround in what would have been one of the finest reformations he would ever get to personally witness occur over time.
As the two boys talked, their attention was caught when, over at the front door leading into Heights Alliance, Sato opened the door and saw that Pony and Reiko were standing there. The strong, sugar-loving boy called Bakugo and Todoroki over, and soon the two of them were at the front door to greet their respective girlfriends. Seeing what was going on at the front door, Izuku and Uraraka got up from where they sat and walked over.
"Tomorrow is big day," Pony remarked, her expression and tone clearly conveying worry, "Day we all fight scary guy and his team."
"The other girls in our class are freaking out, by the way," Reiko remarked, "Ibara's been praying a lot, Setsuna won't stop punching the one punching bag in the small gym at our dorm building, Yui is laying on the sofa with her front side turned to face the back while she's crying, Pony and I saw Kinoko carry an armful of snacks up to her dorm room, and Itsuka has actually stopped hitting Monoma." Gesturing to herself and Pony, the ghost girl of 1-B added, "As for myself and Pony, we're just here to see Shoto and Bakugo."
The students of 1-A allowed Reiko and Pony inside, with their respective boyfriends immediately embracing them in comforting gestures. Pony even softly cried into Bakugo's left shoulder a bit, she was that scared of what all might happen tomorrow. Looking over his upset girlfriend's head, Bakugo spotted Izuku and Uraraka standing next to one another. "Oi Deku, Round Face. Either of you two even know where the team battle event will be held?"
Uraraka nodded a bit in the affirmative. "…Yeah, I got it from Aizawa-sensei that we're going to be taking some busses to get to Takoba National Stadium. You know, the place where we all had the provisional licensing exam at." Bakugo nodded in remembrance; it still pissed him off that he failed the first time and had to take a backup exam of some sort, alongside Todoroki no less. At least the 1-B girls were sympathetic enough to him and Todoroki to whack Monoma upside the head many times whenever he ragged on class 1-A over that fact.
Many, many times.
Looking at everyone who was in that area, Bakugo got their attention with a shout. "Listen, folks," the explosive teen began, "Sure, we got a fucking monster staring us right in the face tomorrow, but we shouldn't let that discourage us." Holding up a fist, Bakugo went on, "On the contrary, we ought to use the chance to get revenge."
"Revenge?" Izuku repeated, looking mildly confused.
Bakugo gave the green-eyed boy a dry look. "…That gold fire samurai bastard who's on the opposing team. He's the assfuck who killed Kirishima, Kaminari and the others. I don't know about you Deku, but I for one would love to break that bastard's nose with a punch to the face because he took the lives of two of my closest friends." Bakugo tightened the fist that he still had held up. "And I'm pretty fucking sure I'm not the only person interest in avenging those from our class who were killed."
Izuku wanted to argue with his childhood friend, but he found that Bakugo made an excellent point. The five boys who were killed were close to everyone in class, as well as some over in class 1-B. In fact, Izuku counts the late Tenya as one of the closest and best friends that he had ever known; the idea of getting to strike Sengoku in the face with a Delaware Smash Air Force packed with as much power from One For All that he could put into it sure sounded mighty appealing right now.
The visiting Pony and Reiko stayed for a bit until they had to leave, telling Bakugo and Todoroki that they would see them tomorrow before everyone loaded onto the busses that would take them over to Takoba National Stadium for the team battle event. Todoroki soon went up the stairs to the boys' side of the dorm building rooms, followed by Izuku who gave Uraraka a final kiss before they parted ways. Not to long after that, Bakugo went up after Izuku and Todoroki, as he figured that he might as well get as much rest as possible before tomorrow.
He had no idea what all would be going down during the team battle event, but he figured that he'd face it as fresh as he could. Bakugo was not one to let anyone get the better of him if he was able to help it.
The following day, everyone in class 1-A and 1-B were waiting outside some busses parked in front of U.A., gathered around Aizawa, Hizashi, Edgeshot and the Big Three. "From what I've gathered, all of your respective family members are all already at Takoba National Stadium, little listeners," Hizashi remarked, "Along with some U.A. staff like Nezu and All Might. The party representing Royal Woods is also already there."
"So we just have to get there, then," Bakugo remarked as he looked around, saw that he and all of his schoolmates were all wearing their respective hero outfits. There was clear tension in the air as all of the students dreaded facing off a team that was packing Sengoku as a member. They saw the video where Sengoku on his own defeated one-hundred opponents all at once; the U.A. team was only fifty-three, barely more than half of what was defeated in the video.
However, the exhibition battle that Sengoku won took place in an entirely empty area, no obstacles or places to hide and launch sneak attacks from to be seen. Takoba National Stadium had all manner of environments to take advantage of, so if the U.A. team played their cards right while Sengoku got really reckless, then there was an ever so slight chance that they may be able to defeat him, or at the very least score at least some manner of hit on him.
"Alright everyone," Nejire said as she jerk her thumb over her shoulders, "Let's get loaded onto the busses so we can make our way over to Takoba National Stadium! We got us a team battle event to take part in, after all!" The senseis were grateful to the sole girl of the Big Three, given that she was able to get all of the first years loaded up onto the busses, which were separated by classes. This meant that both Bakugo and Todoroki were unable to sit with their respective girlfriends, given that Pony and Reiko are both in the other class.
Yet another reason why they were jealous of Izuku and Uraraka.
It didn't take the party from U.A. all that long to get over to Takoba National Stadium, where they were ushered inside by the senseis and the Big Three. According to what Aizawa said on the matter, the U.A. team would enter the arena near the large overpass structure, while the Royal Woods High team would enter near the mountain area with a waterfall. This would put both of the teams on opposite far ends of the arena.
Raising a hand to get the attention of the senseis, Mineta asked, "Umm, how will winning the event be determined, senseis?"
"When everyone on one team is rendered unable to continue," Aizawa answered simply, "There's no ring outs, and unfortunately no surrenders either. It's going to be a straight up fight to the finish."
Monoma crossed his arms over his chest, gave off an annoyed hmph. "I bet that all of Sengoku's teammates will simply hang back and let that terror of a juggernaut that they brought with them to take care of everything."
"Actually," Itsuka said, "We may be able to beat some of Sengoku's teammates in that case, if they do turn out to rely solely on their Sacred Heritage quirk user to win. At least in that case we'll be able to take out a few members of the opposing team."
Edgeshot clapped his hands together, getting all of the students to turn to focus on him. "Alright kids, we might as well not keep everyone waiting. Let's head on inside." All of the students nodded in agreement with Edgeshot as they all followed him and the other senseis into Takoba National Stadium, ready to get their inevitable uphill battle done and over with.
Inside a waiting room that would lift them up into the arena at the point they would be entering at, the U.A. team all looked around, a good many of them dreading what was to come. "Okay folks, show of hands," Shihai said as he got everyone's attention, "Who all here wrote last wills before today?"
Sighing in an incredulous and mildly exasperated tone, Itsuka said, "Shihai, for the last time, nobody is going to die in the team battle event today." Itsuka turned to look at the rest of her classmates in 1-B, but saw that some of them were looking like they had done what Shihai had been asking about. Setsuna even said that she wrote in her will that she'd want all of her stuffed dinosaur plushies to be donated to the closest thrift store.
The class rep for class 1-B was about to say something else, but she was cut off when the floor that she and everyone else stood on rose up, lifting them up into the arena of Takoba National Stadium for the team battle event. Event though it was going to be fifty-three of them versus just ten of the opposing team, the U.A. team knew that they were staring a terror in the face, given that Royal Woods High had a Lord Beerus that made the whole lot of them all look like Desert Bandit Yamchas. That was what Manga of class 1-B said as an analogy, at least.
It didn't take all that long for the fifty-three of them to rise up into the arena of Takoba National Stadium, soon stopping when they had finished rising up. They appeared just in front of the overpass in the arena, just as they had been told. Looking over, some of the U.A. team members could make out small dots that were obviously the Royal Woods High team. Using her quirk to make a pair of binoculars, Yaoyorozu was able to get a clearer look at the opposing ten people.
"…There's Aggro," Yaoyorozu remarked grimly, "Though I'm not sure if he can see-" The wealthy girl stopped suddenly, dropping her conjured binoculars to reveal that she had a look of shocked horror on her face. "…No, it can't be."
"Momo?" Yosetsu said, a curious and mildly worried look on his face, "Did…did you see something that caught your attention?" The welding boy of class 1-B looked on in worry as he saw that the girl he had a crush on was not responding. He couldn't help but shudder at the though of what could have made Yaoyorozu pale so much in fright.
Up where he, the other senseis and a few others sat in the bleachers, Aizawa saw what Yaoyorozu saw, and was likewise paling just as badly, if not more so. "They…they brought four Sacred Heritage quirk users," the underground hero said, looking like he might straight up literally die out of fright. He gulped nervously, very much afraid for the safety and well-being of his and Edgeshot's students.
Sitting with Aizawa, Hizashi and Edgeshot were Inko, Masaru and Toshinori, although only the former Symbol of Peace had any idea of what Aizawa was talking about. Toshinori looked down into the arena where the ten students who made up the Royal Woods High team stood. Right away, he saw Sengoku, as well as Asgardian, Visionquest and Desperado. The other six students on the Royal Woods High team were not paid a lot of mind, not when there were four titans being fielded by the Americans.
Toshinori felt a fear greater at that moment than any he had ever known in his entire life. He feared for all of the U.A. students that were down there, and he would be lying to himself if he said that he wasn't especially afraid of how his protégé Izuku would be able to handle it. "Please be okay when all is said and done, Young Midoriya my boy," All Might thought worriedly as he silently prayed that the green-haired cinnamon roll would be okay when the team battle event was finally concluded.
A few brief moments later, the signal was given for the team battle event to begin. To the piqued interest of Toshinori and his party in the bleachers, Visionquest and a girl dressed like a White Mage from an RPG game hopped back, with Visionquest casting a large dome of powdered earth that was engulfed in an aura of brilliant gold. The dome covered her and the White Mage girl, acting as a sort of large above-ground bunker.
The underground hero noted that Visionquest, who was personally engulfed in her protective golden elemental shroud, made a large hole appear in the dome, stepping out of the dome through the hole before closing it back up, keeping the White Mage girl inside. Visionquest then conjured two large earth animal golems, a technique similar to what Pixie-Bob could do. The golems that Visionquest conjured, made of earthen material engulfed in an aura of gold, looked like skunks wearing feathered Native American war bonnets.
"That girl in the dome that Visionquest conjured must be a key player of the Royal Woods High team," Aizawa remarked, "That must be why Visionquest is going to such lengths to make sure that the girl in the dome is protected."
"My guess," Edgeshot remarked as he crossed his arms over his chest, "Is that the girl who is still in the dome must have a powerful healing quirk. The students on the Royal Woods High team may come see her whenever they get seriously hurt." The other U.A. staff members in that area of the bleachers all nodded in agreement with Edgeshot.
Despite how one of the Sacred Heritage quirk users was clearly not going to be fighting, that by no means meant that the other three were going to hang back. On the contrary, Asgardian, with Sengoku and Desperado following her, ran right for the oncoming rush of U.A. students. The three of them all had their respective golden elemental cloaks up; similarly, Asgardian had her four-iron golf club in her right hand, and Sengoku had one of his two bokken, the reddish-brown one, in his right hand.
The two groups soon clashed, and soon afterwards members of the U.A. team were already beginning to drop like flies. Sure, a few of the Royal Woods High members were being ganged up on, but a lot of the boys from 1-A and 1-B were being swatted around by Asgardian and the two boys that followed along close behind her. Asgardian seemed especially focused on Ibara, who she remembered long ago from class 1-B's field trip to the United States.
Ibara's resistance to electrical attacks was completely overwhelmed by the power of Allison's Sacred Heritage quirk, Thunder God. "(Thunderer's Punch!)" Allison exclaimed in English as she slugged Ibara in the stomach, making her spill the contents of said stomach and sending her crumpling to the ground in the arena, clearly defeated. Seeing the devout Christian go down by her hand, Allison gave an amused bark of laughter.
This caught Aggro's attention, after he had just knocked Nirengeki out by striking him upside the head with his bokken that was encased in an aura of golden flames. "(You seemed to be awfully amused by defeating that Christian girl just now, sis,)" the male Ace twin remarked dryly.
"(She had the audacity to question my devotion to the gods!)" Allison declared, "(There was no way in Helheim that I would allow her to force me to abandon my devotion to the All-father and other gods of Valhalla!)"
Aggro let out a resigned, mildly exasperated sigh as he spun around and blasted Koda with a breath of golden flames, knocking out the animal lover of class 1-A. "(…Allison, for the last time already,)" Aggro began, "(She was not trying to force her religion onto you. It was just one huge mis-)" The Samurai Hero stopped short when something, or rather someone, that he spotted among the U.A. students caught his attention.
…
Over in another area of the fighting, Bakugo, accompanied by Izuku and Todoroki, were helping a few others on the U.A. team confront a few of the teen girls from the RWHS team. After blasting one girl dressed like a Skyrim vampire woman, Bakugo looked around and spotted the one guy who he wanted to wreck more than anyone else. "Hey Deku! IcyHot!" Bakugo yelled, "I'm seeing that samurai bastard chasing Grape Head over to some of the smaller multi-story buildings in the arena! Follow me!"
Not even questioning things, Izuku and Todoroki both proceeded to run after Bakugo, helping him go after Aggro who, for some reason, was chasing after their classmate Mineta. The three boys were hoping that they'd get to Sengoku before he got to Mineta. …Well, that was just Izuku and Todoroki, as they were decent persons. Bakugo personally couldn't care less about the unrepentant pervert. He just wanted to get some payback on the Samurai Hero for all of the lives that his actions had ravaged.
Aggro and Mineta were far ahead of Bakugo, Izuku and Todoroki, enough so that they saw Mineta about halfway up the side of one of the buildings, climbing up quickly by pulling off some of his sticky balls and using them to help him climb. By the time that the boys about reached where Aggro had chased the short-statured teen to, Mineta was just about at the roof while Aggro was looking up at him.
Suddenly, and to the surprise of Bakugo and the others, the gold flame aura engulfing Aggro surged, growing larger before suddenly taking on a specific, defined shape. When all was said and done, Aggro was in the head of a gigantic multi-tailed fox avatar made entirely of golden fire. Piloting the avatar, Aggro lifted the front left paw up and placed it on the edge of the roof. The avatar then pulled itself up so that it was overlooking the building, like a child peering into a jar of cookies.
The audience was more than amazed by the sheer display of awesome that was the fox avatar, although the panicking Mineta, seeing the large head of the fox avatar glaring down right at him, ran through a door on the roof that would lead him into the building. The head of the fox avatar looked over the roof of that building before dissipating, with Aggro landing in the roof with the grace of a highly skilled ninja. Still having a protective cloak of golden flames up, Aggro went on ahead and chased Mineta into the building, unaware that a trio of certain U.A. students went in from the ground floor.
Bakugo led Izuku and Todoroki up flight of stairs after flight of stairs, hoping to intercept Aggro since they all knew full well he'd be in the building. After reaching the third floor, Bakugo and the other boys saw Mineta rush past them, screaming, "Heyguysholdhimoffformethanks!" very fast as he ran past them, proceeding to run down the flight of stairs that they had just come up from. Izuku and Todoroki, both less focused on getting revenge on the Samurai Hero than their explosive friend, had no idea what had just happened.
As Bakugo snapped at them to pay attention, they all saw Aggro come running down the flight of stairs from the above floor. Acting quickly, Bakugo threw an explosion at him. The cloak of golden flames rendered Bakugo's assault moot, but it did catch Aggro's attention. Seeing the three boys that stood in his way, Aggro had an angry, snarling look on his face as he pointed his bokken that he had out at the three boys. "I will gladly fight the three of you later," Aggro said, "Since I can tell that the three of you are looking to fight me. But that little fucker that just ran past here needs to be broken first before I can carry out other obligations."
Pounding a fist into his hand, Bakugo snarled, "How about Deku, IcyHot and I kick your ass instead? I don't give a fuck what your beef with Grape Head is, but you done pissed off the wrong future number one hero, you gold fire samurai bastard!" Bakugo then assumed a stance for fighting, as did Izuku and Todoroki. Bakugo even flipped Aggro off while saying, "We're going to be kicking your ass right here and now!"
Aggro said nothing, simply glared at the three boys that cut him off from going after his intended target. "…Out of my way, now," Aggro swore, his temper clearly rising, "I'm getting more and more pissed off by every second that passes where I'm not breaking that little shit."
"And I'm getting more and more pissed off by every second that passes where I don't kick your ass!" Bakugo yelled as he threw an AP Shot right at Aggro, the attack being rendered ineffective thanks to that protective cloak of golden flames. Likewise, Izuku cast a Delaware Smash Air Force at Aggro while Todoroki threw lots of ice and fire at him. Just like it was with Bakugo's attack, the efforts of Izuku and Todoroki were rendered moot.
The Samurai Hero, his expression now a visage of pure fury that was a clear sign Aggro had lost all of his temper, all of his ability to reason, yelled at the top of his lungs, "Fine! Have it your way then! Searing Blast!" Aggro cast a blasting pillar-beam of golden flames from the palm of his free hand at Izuku, knocking him back into a wall. The beam then moved to the floor before moving back up to drag up against the green-eyed boy's form, making him cry out in extreme pain before he fell to the floor of the (admittedly rather large) room everyone was in, looking like he was knocked out.
Bakugo and Todoroki were both shocked by what they had seen, but they were cut off when Aggro next yelled, "Solar Flare!" A gigantic sphere of golden flames flew from Aggro's hand right at Todoroki, engulfing the two-toned boy fully right before exploding around him, making him drop to the floor in a manner similar to how Izuku had been defeated just now. Bakugo gave a nervous yet pissed look at Aggro, who had pulled out his other bokken from the carrying case he wore over his back. He held his twin bokken like he was going to do a twin slashing motion with them to deal an x-shaped slash.
"Kusanagi!" Aggro exclaimed as he conjured and cast a large x-shaped projectile of golden flames that flew right at Bakugo, striking him dead-on with more force than Bakugo had ever felt from any attack that had ever hit him. Bakugo was in so much pain that he couldn't even think straight. Bakugo felt himself pass out from the sheer amount of pain, whiting out as everything that he had had in his vision faded away.
Outside of the one building down in the arena, the audience was watching as the fighting was continuing. Over in Toshinori's party, everyone saw Asgardian knock Akuma, Sero and Mina to the side to keep them from chasing after a purple-clad RWHS girl who was carrying one of her teammates, a girl with blonde hair that had a streak of blue in it, over to the dome that had been set up by Visionquest.
The earth Sacred Heritage quirk user let her teammates inside the dome, and the girl that was waiting inside proceeded to use her quirk, which as was predicted is a very powerful healing quirk, to heal the blonde girl. Once fully restored, the blonde girl and her purple-clad teammate were let out of the dome, both ready to get back into the fighting. Monoma led Togaru and Tetsutetsu over to the dome, but seeing this Visionquest had one of her skunk golem constructs run over and deal with them, knocking Tetsutetsu out and forcing the other two to flee.
"The team for Royal Woods High has a very effective strategy when it comes to maintaining their source of healing," Toshinori noted, "I'd even go so far as to say that-" The former Symbol of Peace suddenly stopped short as he felt a sudden surge of dread overcome him. There was a look of horror appearing on his face while a shiver went up his spine. Aizawa and the others in that party in the bleachers took note of how Toshinori stopped suddenly, of the horrified air that he was giving off.
Aizawa arched a wry eyebrow as he turned to fully regard Toshinori. "…Is there something the matter, All Might?"
Toshinori held his hands over his biceps as he shivered involuntarily, a look of fear and worry on his face. "…I can't quite shake the feeling that something rather bad has just happened to Young Midoriya just now."
"No way," Inko said immediately, turning to face her son's mentor, "There's no way something bad could have happened to Izuku just now! Please tell me that you're just joking All Might, because I'm not sure if-"
*BOOOOOOOOM*
Inko was cut off when a large explosion took place somewhere outside of Takoba National Stadium, sending a large pillar of black smoke rising up into the skies above. Everyone in the audience panicked as they saw what looked to be the beginning of an attack in the city starting to take place. As the heroes in the audience began to panic over what was going on, Hawks landed near Toshinori's party, a rattled look on his face.
"The Paranormal Liberation Front is attacking the city right now!" Hawks exclaimed, a rattled look on his face, "All of them have come out all at once to attack!"
The pro heroes near Toshinori (who was retired) immediately came to attention. "Are you kidding me?!" Edgeshot exclaimed, "This is two months ahead of what was predicted! How are we going to fight of such a surprise attack, and from so large a force?!"
Aizawa looked over the stadium as the intercom system was being used to call all of the fighting students off from fighting, saying that there was an emergency and that the team battle event was going to be suspended for the time being. As all of the students proceeded to file out after Mera the guy from the HPSC, the underground hero let out a resigned, troubled sigh. "…We're going to be needing every hand on deck for this one, I'm afraid."
Bakugo jolted upright into a sitting position as he took a gasp of air. After he had settled down, the explosive teen yelled, "That gold fire samurai motherfucker! I'll kick his ass if it's the last thing that I-" Bakugo stopped short when he saw that he wasn't in the building that he ran into in order to get to Sengoku. Instead, he had, somehow, woken up on the lush, grassy side of a hill that was overlooking a body of water below, where a few large party boats that looked to be of Nordic make were docked at the edge.
Looking up into the sky, Bakugo saw, to his further confusion, that the skies above were a pale purplish color at the top, with some orange and faded yellows after that following as Bakugo looked closer and closer to the horizon. He also saw a few small islands floating in the skies above, and in the distance there was a single large island with a large, splendid castle of gold that was simply radiant with light. Bakugo looked confused when he saw all of this; how did he get from the building he, Izuku and Todoroki ran into, all the way to wherever this was?
Speaking of Izuku and Todoroki, they were both laying on the ground near where Bakugo sat upright. Getting up, Bakugo first walked over to Izuku and shook him awake, then proceeded to do the same for Todoroki. After all three of the boys were awake, they looked around, all of them with looks of wonder on their respective faces.
"Where the fuck are we?" Bakugo asked, "The last thing I remember-"
"Was you, me and Izuku running into a building we saw Sengoku chase Mineta into," Todoroki said, cutting Bakugo off and making him turn to regard him. Bakugo nodded in the affirmative to the two-toned boy. "…Is this some manner of weird, shared dream?"
Izuku, with a sad, resigned tearful look on his face, got the attention of his friends. "I…I don't think that we're dreaming, Todoroki. I…" Izuku stopped short, shuddering a bit as he struggled to force himself to say it. "…I think that we died."
"The fuck you're talking about, Deku?!" Bakugo snapped, "How the fuck can we all be dead?! We're alive and kicking right fucking here, wherever the fuck here is!" The three boys were cut off when they saw a shadow pass overhead.
The shadow was cast by a person who was landing right in front of them. It was a giant of a man, with long, flowing blonde hair under a winged helm, and he wore a black sleeveless armored top over a long-sleeved chainmail shirt, a pair of chainmail leggings, a pair of gloves, a pair of boots, and he carried a one-handed Warhammer in his right hand. This person, who was exuding strong Viking vibes, landed ten feet from the three boys, so he walked a bit to get up to them.
The mystery being held a hand up in a gesture of greeting to Bakugo, Izuku and Todoroki. "Greetings and well met, honorable warriors who fell in battle," the man greeted, "I am Thor, here to welcome the three of you to your Warrior's Reward." Thor held his arms out at length at his sides, gesturing to everything that was around him and the boys. "Welcome to Asgard! Follow me down to the lakeshore, where we will board one of the party barges that are waiting to ship out to Valhalla!"
TO BE CONTINUED…
END, CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
Author's notes;
Yeah, that happened. This part of the arc will cover the villains' siege on the city, although things here will be swapping back and forth between the living world and the Norse afterlife, where Bakugo, Izuku and Todoroki find themselves now. Before any of you go off on a tangent, this is actually a very important part of the story here, as it's where a number of revelations will be made/discovered. And who knows? The boys may be able to get what they learned here over into the living world somehow.
