19. Chapter 19: Wheel's Up

Hotch's POV:

Nina and Emily both sent me a letter of resignation and I was stunned. I knew Nina was mad at me but I didn't think she would actually quit. I didn't know why Emily also quit but I assumed it was because of the case where she was abused after the Dorian case.

I walked out of my office and went to the conference room to tell the team and only saw J.J., David, Penelope, and Morgan. I asked them, "Where are Spencer and Charley?"

David said sadly, "I got a text from Spencer saying he has an emergency to deal with."

Then Penelope added, "I and J.J. also got a text from Charley saying she is considering leaving the BAU."

"What?" I said and everyone looked at me confused. I said, "I just got two letters of resignation from Emily and Nina."

Everyone's jaws dropped. J.J. said, "Emily never told us that she was thinking of leaving. Yeah, she's been through enough but we all have. And Nina is just mad at you. There's no reason for anyone to leave this team not without giving it careful consideration."
