Chapter 18-Releasing Lincoln

The Bunker

Murphy Clarke and Bellamy look at the guns. "This changes everything. No more running from spears. Ready to be a badass, Clarke?" Bellamy asks Clarke.

"Look. I'm not gonna fight you on bringing guns back to camp. I know we need them, but don't expect me to like it," Clarke tells Bellamy, who nods.

"We're lucky the rifles were packed in grease. The fact that they survived means we're not sitting ducks anymore. You need to learn how to do this," Bellamy tells Clarke. Bellamy hands Clarke the gun.

"So, just hold it to my shoulder?" Clarke asks.

"Yeah, just a little higher now, that end. Yeah. Uh, that's good. Uh, watch and learn," Bellamy tells Clarke. Bellamy tries to shoot the gun, but it doesn't shoot. He reloads and tries again, but it still doesn't shoot.

"Still watching," Murphy says.

"My bullets are duds," Bellamy tells them. Clarke pulls the trigger and hits the target.

"That was amazing. Ha! Am I horrible for feeling that?" Clarke asks.

"Try again," Bellamy says.

"No, we shouldn't waste our ammo," Murphy says.

"She needs to practice," Bellamy says.

"No. We need to talk about how we're gonna keep guns around camp, where are we gonna keep them, and who has access," Murphy says. Bellamy tries again, and the gun fires.

"You left Miller in charge of the grounder. You must trust him," Clarke says.

"Billy should keep him close," Bellamy tells her.

"Billy should keep him close? Bellamy, what's going on? You've been acting weird all day. All the rations you took. You're gonna run. That's why you agreed to come with me. You were gonna load up on supplies and just disappear," Clarke says.

"I don't have a choice. The Ark will be here soon," Bellamy says.

"So, you're just gonna leave Octavia?" Murphy asks.

"She'll be fine," Bellamy says.

"You don't know," Clarke starts to say.

" shot the chancellor. They're gonna kill me, Clarke. Best-case scenario, they lock me up with the Grounder for the rest of my life, and there's no way in hell I'm giving Jaha the satisfaction. Keep practicing. I need some air," Bellamy says as he leaves. "I'll talk to him," Murphy says as he leaves. He was a little behind Bellamy when he was tackled to the ground by Drax. Drax tries to stab Murphy in the eye. Murphy moves, and the blade goes into his shoulder. He screams in pain. He punches Drax in the face and gets up, holding his gun on the other man.

"Do it," Drax says.

"No. Leave and don't ever come back," Murphy says. Drax gets up and runs away.

Camp

Billy walks over to Emma. "Go get Lincoln," He tells her. She smiles before she leaves. Emma climbs on the ladder with some clothes. She sets them down in front of Lincoln.

"Don't move. We need to go now," Emma tells him.

"Why are you doing this?" Lincoln asks. Emma gets his loose.

"Just get dressed," Emma tells him.

"They'll know you helped me," Lincoln says.

"You said it you stay here. You'll die. I'm not gonna let that happen," Emma tells him.

"I'm not gonna put you in danger," Lincoln says.

"You need to do this now," Emma tells him.

"Even in these clothes, I'll be seen," Lincoln says.

"Look, everyone is seeing things. You need to go Lincoln. This is your only chance. Now please go and get as far away as possible," Emma says to him. Lincoln nods. He kisses her. Emma kisses him back. Lincoln, let's go. Emma gives him one more kiss. "Go," Emma tells him. Lincoln leaves. As he was walking out, Finn and Westley look at him.

"Go," Westley says. Lincoln nods before he leaves.

With Murphy.

Murphy walks over to Bellamy and Clarke, who were talking. They both look at him.

"Murphy, what happen?" Clarke asks.

"Drax tried to kill me. Look, Bellamy. You are one of us. You need to come back. We are a family. We stick together. You and Billy can figure something else," Murphy tells him.

"Fine. Let's get the guns and goes back," Bellamy says.

Dropship

Billy was sitting down. Miller came out. "The grounders gone," Miller says.

"What if he brings more grounders back?" Charlotte ask. Bellamy Clarke and Murphy walk-in.

"Let the grounders come. We've been afraid of them for far too long, and why? Because of their knives and spears. I don't know about you. I'm tired of being afraid," Bellamy says. Billy stands up and walks over to them.

"These are weapons, ok, not toys, and we have to be prepared to give them up to the guard when the dropships come, but until then, they're gonna help keep us safe," Billy says.

"And there are plenty more where these came from. Tomorrow we start training, and if the grounders come, we're gonna be ready to fight," Bellamy says.

"Billy Bellamy is ready to talk to Jaha," Clarke tells him.

"Ok, hold on," Billy tells them. He walks over to Emma and Raven.

"Good job," He tells his sister, who nods. He kisses Raven before he heads to the tent with Bellamy.

"That grounder escaping did that have anything to do with you?" Bellamy asks.

"Nope," Billy tells them as they sit down.

"Mr. Blake. I wanted to talk to you for some time now," Jaha says.

"Before you do, I want you to know that Bellamy is one of us. We have had a tough time down here. Bellamy and I have become friends. I trust him. We need him. He helps around here. We'll fight for him. He's one of the hundred," Billy says.

"Clarke, I appreciate your point of view, but it's not that simple," Jaha says.

"It is if you want to know who on The Ark wants you dead," Bellamy says.

"Bellamy Blake, you're pardoned for your crimes. Now, tell me who gave you the gun," Jaha says.

The Ark.

Kane walks up to Shumway with some guards. "Arrest him. Take him straight to the floating Chamber," Kane says. They nod as they leave.
