Chapter 17: Namine Awakens
After the break everyone was back at the theater room in their seats getting ready to watch the next chapter.
"Alright everyone, this next chapter will show all the progress everyone made with Roxas' training to defeat the Heartless," Draco said.
"Yeah, I can't wait to see how an amazing hero I have become," Daring said.
"Well this chapter is mostly focused on Namine Daring so I doubt it will show much about you," Raven pointed out.
"But still, I can't wait to see how Namine's Keyblade training is going since we know she has the potential to become a Keyblade wielder," Ashlynn said.
"Well then, why don't we start the chapter," Draco said as the theater screen played Chapter 17: Namine Awakens.
Training everyone at Ever After High was going excellent everyone was making progress and could definitely hold their own against the smaller Heartless.
"And because of that training, you guys were able to improve to become better versions of yourself and hold your own against the Heartless," Orion said as everyone nodded their head in agreement.
As Namine was practicing she realized that her white dress and sandals were not the best choice for combat, so she went to Lizzie and Ashlynn to help her make a new outfit.
The next day as everyone was in the cafeteria for lunch Lizzie and Ashlynn were by the entrance.
"Come on Namine you look great." Ashlynn said.
"I don't know." Namine said nervously.
"Trust me you have nothing to be nervous about." Lizzie said.
Namine walks in unveiling her new outfit. Her top was similar to Kairi's. A sky-blue top with silver zippers, she had dark gray Capri pants with cargo pouches, a black tank top under her shirt, a hood strapped to her shirt, and the Heart symbol on the back of her shirt.
"I am quite impressed with the outfit design for Namine. It's similar to Kairi's outfit but the color is different. Plus it makes it easier for her to move around since a white dress and sandals aren't great for fighting," Orion said.
"I do say I have to agree with him, the alternate version of us did a great job designing the outfit for her," Lizzie said.
"Yeah, the designs of the outfit are charmazing," Ashlynn said.
"Wow, Namine you look hexcellent." Apple said.
"Totally amazing." Raven said.
"T-Thank you." Namine said walking over to them.
When Roxas turns around and sees Namine's new outfit he couldn't help but feel something warm inside. "Wow, she looks just wow." He said a small blush appearing on his face.
"And just like that Roxas is becoming so dense that he doesn't even know how to react," Draco said.
"Well I hope my alternate version of myself can give him some love advice," Cupid said.
Daring, Sparrow, and Hopper see the look on his face and chuckle.
Daring slowly walks over to Roxas quietly before pushing him.
"Whoa!" Roxas said as he landed in front of Namine. "Uh hey." He said awkwardly.
"Hey." She said.
"That looks uh good on you." Roxas said nervously.
Namine smiles. "Uh thank you Lizzie and Ashlynn did a great job."
"I think he just needs a little push," Daring said.
"Yeah, he is pretty clueless when it comes to love," Sparrow said.
"It would seem that love will blossom like a beautiful rose of light and warmth inside of himself," Hopper said in his frog form.
Roxas and Namine sit down with Raven and Apple to enjoy lunch when Maddie comes in and joins them.
"Hey Roxas, a little mouse told me you need help looking for something." Maddie said.
"You mean a little birdie told you?" Roxas asks thinking she got the phrase wrong.
"No, a little mouse." Maddie points to her teacup and a little mouse pops out of it and runs to Maddie's hat and pulls out a mini sketchpad.
The mouse draws on it to take the shape of a Keyhole.
"How did he do that?" Namine asks.
"Wonderland stuff it's easier if you just accept it." Roxas said.
"Yeah, I don't usually understand Wonderland culture. The only thing I understand is Maddie's Riddlish," Raven said.
"So Roxas, why are you looking for this? What is that? A Keyhole?" Apple asks as the mouse nods.
"Yeah that's what I've been trying to find if I can find this world's Keyhole I can seal it so the Heartless will go away. The only problem is I have no idea where to look." Roxas sighs.
"Well maybe Maddie can help. She knows every nook and cranny around this school." Raven suggests.
"That's true," Maddie said.
"Yeah, I bet somewhere we can find a clue to this Key mystery of yours." Maddie said.
"You're the best Maddie." Roxas smiles.
"Oh stop." Maddie smiles brushing it off when they heard an explosion coming from the Enchanted Forest.
"What the?!" Roxas said as he ran outside with all the other students.
"I'm going out on a limb here and say that explosions are not a good sign," Briar said.
"Nope, it's not," Twilight said.
In the forest were a group of Bruisers, and a Mad Treant Unversed uprooting trees and scaring away all the wildlife.
"Okay, the good news it's not Heartless causing trouble in the forest. The bad news, it's the Unversed. Worse news whenever Unversed is here, Vanitas is probably nearby," Draco said.
"Yeah, that is going to be a problem," Raven said.
"They look like Heartless, but it's different," Namine said.
"We gotta stop those things!" Roxas said running towards the forest.
"Roxas wait!" Namine said as she ran after him along with Maddie and Raven.
Inside the forest, Cerise was running through trying to get the wolf pack away from the Bruisers when one jumps in front of her causing her to fall back.
As one delivers a punch Cerise jumps out of the way and kicks it in the head causing the Bruiser to disappear.
"Hehe, good thing you were there to get the animals out to safety sis," Ramona said.
"Yeah, I have to thank you for protecting the animals," Rosabella said.
"Oh, it's no big deal," Cerise said.
"Cerise!" She turns to see Roxas, Namine, Raven, and Maddie running to her.
"Bout time you guys showed up I just got the last of the animals to safety." Cerise said.
"Good job what the heck are these things?" Raven asks when the 3 Bruisers and the Mad Treant approach them.
"You like them? Made them myself." The Treant reaches into its leaves and from them Vanitas jumps down. "Hey Roxas."
"Vanitas." Roxas glares.
"Great, him again," Briar said sarcastically.
"Let's skip the pleasantries and cut to the chase shall we." Vanitas said as they both summoned their keyblades.
"You girls think you can handle these things?" Roxas asks.
Maddie pulls out a Mallet from her hat and Dark magic appears in Raven's hands.
"We got this, Namine you better get back." Cerise said as Namine got behind them.
Soon the Red Alert Alarm rang in the theater telling everyone that a boss battle is about to begin.
Vanitas jumps at Roxas firing Blizzaga, but Roxas rolls out of the way dodging.
Roxas swings Oathkeeper and Oblivion locking blades with Vanitas.
"You know I think it's so funny that you give these people the sad fantasy they can stand up to the Heartless." Vanitas grins.
"Oh, you want funny? Here's some funny." Roxas growls as he slides the keyblades to the side delivering a powerful kick to the face.
"Looks like the Nobody has some fight in him." Vanitas creates a dark portal allowing him to attack from above sending Roxas skidding back.
"Firaga!" Roxas holds out his Keyblades and unleashes a Fireball.
Vanitas counters by releasing Black Thundaga, creating an explosion.
"Well while Roxas is battling Vanitas, why don't we see how the girls are doing," Draco said.
Back with the girls, Cerise had just destroyed the last Bruiser as Maddie and Raven were dealing with the Mad Treant.
Maddie brings her mallet down on one of its roots as Raven sends a blast of dark energy down its mouth causing it to explode.
"Wow we are amazing," Raven said.
"That was hattastic," Maddie said.
"Yeah there is no way anyone is going to call us Damsels in Distress anymore," Cerise said.
"Yeah, you three would make a great Trinity," Orion complimented.
"Wait Trinity?" Raven asked.
"Well, Roxas can perform a Limit Break which allows the user to unleash a tremendous amount of power as an attack that they wouldn't normally be able to perform. However in order to use it, you must achieve a certain condition," Twilight said.
"There are different types of Limit Breaks. There are regular Limit Breaks, Duo Limit Breaks, and Trinity Limit Breaks. Each Limit Breaks are unique to each person and have different effects on themselves and the enemy. Regular Limit Breaks use a person one skills that surpass their limits. Duo Limit Breaks require two people that have a strong bond with each other. Trinity Limit Breaks requires three people that have a strong bond. The stronger the bond the person has with each other, the stronger the Limit Breaks will become," Orion said.
"That's amazing," Apple said.
"Well, Roxas is a special case since he believes that his friends are his strength. His bond with you guys are strong enough to perform a Limit Break," Draco said.
"Wow, looks like he was filled many surprises," Cheshire Cat said with her Cheshire Cat grin.
The three girls high five. "Way to go girls." Raven said.
"No one can call the three of us Damsels in Distress anymore." Cerise smiles.
"We were Hat-Tastic!" Maddie smiles before they heard the explosion in the distance.
"That's where Roxas and Namine are!" Cerise said.
"Come on!" Raven said as they ran hoping to help their friend.
As Namine was watching from a distance Roxas seemed to be pushing Vanitas back.
'Come on Roxas you can beat this phony.' Namine thought as Roxas hit Vanitas sending him skidding backwards.
"Gotcha!" Roxas yells charging forward.
Vanitas stabs his Keyblade into the ground and swings it, flinging a large amount of mud into Roxas' eye, blinding him.
"Hey, that was a dirty trick!" Darling shouted.
"Yeah he has no honor in using dirty tactics," Chase said as he was holding back his anger.
"How dare he do something like this," Daring said.
"Well, what did you expect? Vanitas is a villain and I highly doubt that he would fight fair," Dexter said.
"Yeah, but now Roxas is at a disadvantage since he is blinded by the mud and he can't attack or dodge Vanitas' attacks," Hunter said.
"Don't worry, he will get his comeuppance later," Orion said.
"Roxas!" Namine yells as Vanitas swings his keyblade, knocking Roxas to the ground and sending both Oathkeeper and Oblivion flying out of his grip.
Namine watched in horror as Vanitas approached Roxas who was trying to get the mud out of his eyes.
"And so, the Darkness shall be rid of another." Vanitas said raising his Keyblade.
'I need to save Roxas, but I can't even summon a keyblade, what do I do?!' She thought as Vanitas knocks Roxas to the ground.
Ash Vanitas raises his Keyblade Namine picks up a branch and swings it at him.
"Get away from him!" Namine yells trying to hit him.
"Wait, is she trying to fight Vanitas with a stick?" Darling deadpanned.
"Yeah, Roxas did the same thing. Back in the Organization while Roxas was helping Xion with her Keyblade training, Roxas let her borrow his Keyblade while he used a stick to improvise," Orion said.
"Okay either she is very brave or very foolish for her to be attacking him with a stick," Daring said.
Soon Orion appeared behind Daring holding out his thumb.
"Laughing Pressure Point!" Orion shouted as he jammed his thumb at Daring's neck causing him to laugh uncontrollably.
"Wait what did you just do?" Raven asked.
"Oh, I just hit his laughing pressure point on his neck causing him to laugh uncontrollably. Don't worry, it will wear off," Orion said.
"Awe isn't that cute." Vanitas snaps the branch in two causing Namine to fall backwards. "The cute ones are always the first to fall."
Namine holds up her hands just as Vanitas brings his Keyblade down as Roxas gets the mud out of his eyes he sees what was about to happen.
"Namine!" Roxas yells when a bright flash of light erupts from Namine's hands.
As the girls arrived everyone looked in shock to see in Namine's hands was a keyblade.
It was an all-white keyblade with a rose for the teeth, along the shaft of the blade a chain in the shape of cards, the keychain at the end was a copy of her drawing pad, the hilt was silver and the guard had delicate carvings of the Nobody symbol.
"Whoa." Raven, Maddie, and Cerise said in awe.
"She did it." Roxas smiles as Namine stood up.
"It looks like Namine has finally summoned her Keyblade," Draco said.
"Yeah now the odds are tipped in their favor," Hunter said.
"Go Namine, kick Vanitas' but!" Maddie shouted.
"No way you can wield a Keyblade?!" Vanitas said in shock.
Namine stands up raising her new Keyblade ready to fight.
"Light!" She yelled as she fired a beam of light from her Keyblade sending Vanitas crashing into the forest.
"Namine that was amazing," Cerise said.
"That was totally hexcellent." Raven smiles.
Namine looks at her Keyblade and notices Roxas walking to her.
"You were just wow back there, and you saved my life thank you." Roxas smiles.
Namine smiles before wrapping her arms around Roxas pulling him into a hug.
Roxas is shocked by this gesture at first but slowly wraps his arms around Namine hugging her back.
In the forest, Vanitas recovers from Namine's surprise attack. "So now I get to face two Keyblade wielders instead of one. I better tell Master Xehanort about this." An evil grin appears on Vanitas' face. "Alright, I haven't a challenge in a while." He said before disappearing in a dark portal.
"Well it looks like you won't be seeing Vanitas for a while," Draco said.
"Well that's good, I don't think I want to see him again," Cerise said.
Back at school Namine was showing everyone her new keyblade and everyone was cheering for her.
"Namine it looks so amazing." Apple said.
"It fits you perfectly." Briar said looking at it.
"Hey, have you decided on a name for your Keyblade?" Roxas asks.
"When I used it, I felt like I was able to draw strength from the memories of Sora I once saw. I think I'll call it Chain of Memories." Namine said.
"Chain of Memories? I like the sound of that." Roxas smiles happily at the fact he now has some backup to face Vanitas, the Heartless and whatever else this world could throw at him.
"Okay then that is the end of the chapter, so what do you think about it?" Draco asked.
"It is amazing, now Roxas has another Keyblade wielder on his team," Darling said.
"Well it would be more amazing if I was in it," Daring said.
"Sorry Daring, but this chapter was focused more on Namine," Orion said.
"Well enough talk, why don't we start the preview," Draco said.

Roxas was walking through the hallways at Ever After High and Melody walks up to him.
Melody: Hey Roxas, do you think we can hang out with each other just you and me?
Roxas: Like working on homework?
Melody: No like a date.
Roxas: Sure.
Melody grew a huge smile on her face.
Melody: Thank you, I can't wait for our date.

Roxas: Just one question, what is a date? May your hearts be your guiding key.
"Well that is the end of the preview," Draco said.
"I can't believe it. I get to go on a date with Roxas," Melody said as she blushes furiously while Apple, Briar, Maddie, Cerise, Poppy, Darling, Lizzie, Crystal, Meeshell, Darling, and Farrah were feeling jealous since she was Roxas first date.
"And he is dense since he has no idea what a date is," Orion said.
"Can't blame him since this is his first date," Twilight said.
"Oh boy, that guy will need all the help he could get," Daring said.
"Oh Roxas' first date, this would be so romantic," Cupid said as she sighs.
"Well anywho, it's break time so excuse me I need to take a nap," Draco said as everyone got up for their break.
