Short chapter!

To RandomFanAuthor- You're like the only one reviewing, thank you! And I have started a rewrite of my REALLY old fic called Secrets (spoiler, it's terrible and unfinished, but it was an idea I still wanted to play with) And no. All-nighters are bad, go to bed! And yes, much fun ^_^ Yes, yes, that's their powers! I love these different sides of the godly abilities, it's great to play with them! No, my government is not handling it well, we've got no idea what Boris is on about- we CAN go outside and go back to work and see family, but we CAN'T do any of that in case the R changes and there's a bunch of graphs with no real explanation, just colours and arrows. Apparently I was supposed to go back to work tomorrow, now it's some time in July, but the furlough option is running until October so ? I have no idea what's going on!

They were pushed back. Thalia and the Hunters lined up with their backs to the Waystation entrance. Jamie was with them, Sssssarah had caught a Germanus and was in the process of swallowing him whole. Louisa, her fear of snakes doubling and tripling, was the last one to retreat. She stood fifteen feet in front of the others, manipulating the river she had summoned within the street. The ground still broke and trembled under her will, chunks of earth ripping free and hurtling at enemy numbers. She stood in the centre of a thunderous blend of hurricane and storm. Her pegasus had picked up the habit of diving and kicking, mostly aimed at Commodus, whinnying with delight each time she dodged his retaliation.

"Lou, we're going to regroup inside, barricade the door!"

"Go! I'll buy you some time!"

"I'll help!" Leo came charging out, riding on Festus's back. The dragon took to the skies. "Come on, Lou, we've got this! WOOOOHOOO!"

"What took ya so long?" Louisa called, the light of a smile on her lips. Leo simply waved and she ran after him, her element crashing along with her. She threw out her hand and her hurricane swept forward. She rolled as a spear sailed towards her, heard it thud into the ground where she had been. Slamming her fists to the street, she felt a pull in her gut, ricocheting another earthquake towards Commodus and his army.

Festus dived alongside Storm, billowing flames and crisping a good chunk of the left flank, mostly blemmyae, while she aimed another kick at Commodus. The emperor bellowed in outrage, swiping at her and missing once more.

"KILL THAT STUPID HORSE!" He raged.

I AM NOT A FUCKING HORSE. I AM A PEGASUS, YOU DUMB BASTARD! Storm whickered in challenge. Louisa smiled, crashing into the front lines, seconds behind the disaster her hurricane had caused. She cut her way through monsters, slammed the hilt of her sword into demigods' heads. Water cascaded after her, sweeping enemies off their feet and propelling her forward. She switched between running and sliding on the water, using it to dodge and deflect, a shield from Festus's and Leo's flames, rather enjoying throwing it in faces and snickering when their yelling and roaring turned to choking on water up their noses.

An ostrich screeched at her, snapping at her face, its metal beak narrowly missing her nose. With a sweep of her hand, the bird's legs were washed from under it, squawking as it toppled. She leapt over it, kicking a second bird in its long neck. She twisted, landed in a crouch, threw her hands up. Water snapped into a haphazard collection of spires, engulfing any that happened to be in its growth. With a clench of her fists, the water crackled into ice. Weapons were dropped, blemmyae lost their fake heads. Festus flew by, his flames frying any exposed heads or limbs, water beginning to trickle down.

Louisa had an idea.

She turned, seeing that only Thalia remained outside, firing arrows at any stragglers.

"Thalia! Zap the ground!" Louisa gestured downwards. Thalia nodded. Louisa whistled and Storm neighed in reply. She dived, hooves glancing across the damp floor. Louisa jumped on her back and they shot skyward. "Leo, move!" He glanced round, saw Thalia raise her sword. He pulled on Festus's plating and rocketed upwards.

The sky rumbled. Lightning bleached the colour from the world, Leo and Louisa shielded their eyes. White-hot tendrils of electricity snapped and burst around Thalia, sizzling through her blade down through her body.

She rammed her sword downwards. Lightning blazed across the water, filling the icy spires. Commodus's screams were lost to those of his army, but they were all getting the supercharged-electric baths.

Thalia stumbled, the lightning faded. Louisa urged Storm down, leaning to the side to catch Thalia, hooking her arms under her cousin's and pulling her up. The Waystation opened for them and Storm levelled out, alighting on the floor. Festus was seconds after them and the doors closed.

Leo grinned.

"Excellent!" He laughed. "They are not happy out there!"

"Did we get 'em?" Thalia mumbled, slumped against Storm's neck as she caught her breath. Her hair was more unruly than before, residual sparks dancing along her arms and shoulders. Louisa kept getting static shocks off of her.

"Most of them!" Leo grinned. "Not Toilet Man though, he's having a right old paddy." He glanced around. "What now?" He asked, looking to Louisa.

"Oh no, that was my one good idea for the day."

"Who are you kidding?" Thalia half-laughed. "For the year." She forced herself to sit up, dismounting onto wobbly legs. "Jokes aside, Lou, that really helped. Hunter!" She called. "How are we looking?"

"They're starting to form up again! Less monsters though, mostly foot soldiers, those big guys and ostriches!"

"Everyone in place?"

"Ready when you are!"

"Ambush?" Leo asked.

"Of course." Thalia nodded. Storm tottered about on her hooves, shifting her wings, agitated.

"Easy," Louisa said, patting the mare's neck, "easy, Storm." Storm snorted, bucking. Thalia backed up sharpish. Louisa sighed, fingers twisting in the pegasus's mane. "Ya can't go back out there now- no, I know you were enjoyin' yaself, but we've got a different plan now, settle down."

Just one more kick in the head? Please?

"No, 'cos it'll be 'one more, Lou, just one more, I may as well make it an even number, five more minutes, Lou'."

"They're coming!" Hunter called. Louisa dug her heels into Storm's sides and the bucking stopped. Storm shook her head, huffing.

"Well, that's just rude." Louisa complained. Storm stomped her hoof. "I will put ya in the stables 'n' leave ya there, make ya miss all the fun. Yeah, that's what I thought. Bitch."
