The Dragon of Ice
Chapter 18: Kitsune
It was the first week of autumn at the Xiaolin Temple.
The young monks were doing their own things after completing their assigned chores.
Alice was in the kitchen making dessert after she finished mopping the floors.
The pink haired girl whistled as she peeled off the skins of a few pineapples that she were going to use to make pineapple upside down cheesecake.
A hand was reaching out to grab the plate of bean buns on the table causing the pink haired girl to use a wooden spoon to slap it away.
"OW!"Omi cried out in pain and rubbed his arm.
"Omi!"Alice scowled. "How many times do I have to tell you? No dessert before lunch!"
"Please, Allie!"Omi begged as he hugged Alice. "I cannot resist the yumminess from your feminine rituals of baking!"
Alice took a deep breath and removed Omi's hands from around her waist.
"Alight, Omi."Alice responded and handed a bean bun to Omi. "Just this once."
"Thank you, Allie."Omi as he ate the bean bun. "I am most grateful."
Omi began to walked away but then stopped.
"Can I at least have another bun?"Omi asked hopefully.
"OUT!"Alice snapped in anger.
Omi grinned nervously and rushed out the kitchen.
Alice sighed in frustration as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
Omi was adorable, but sometimes when his naive and egotistical it bothers her a lot.
Afterwards...
Alice, Omi, Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay met up with Master Fung and Dojo in the garden.
Dojo handed Master Fung the Ancient Scroll.
"The Rose Chaplet is a crown made of rose flowers."Master Fung said. "When activated, this Shen Gong Wu can give the user the ability to summon plants from a far distance. If you are travelling to the arctic or the desert, places that lack much plant life, the user can use the chaplet to summon plants to come to their aid.
"The chaplet can also make the plants reach the user at lightning speed."Omi added.
"Whoa that's awesome."Kimiko complemented.
"I'm impressed."Alice stated.
"Heh, it looks more like a tiara."Raimundo commented.
"If country life is healthful to the body, it is no less so to the mind."Clay admitted.
In the Sky...
Dojo and the five monks headed to the location of the Rose Chaplet.
Kimiko had her hair short light blue and styled in two small buns on both sides of her head. The Dragon of Fire wore a lightly transparent, white maroon checked dress with spaghetti straps. Underneath the dress was a black turtleneck with long sleeves and a pair of light turquoise skinny jeans. The shoes she wore were lack sneaker-style loafers with white sole and shoelaces.
Alice wore a pink cat shirt with a blue shirt underneath. She had a ying yang pendant and wore a pair of denim shorts with yellow frills. On her head was a blue hat with a shade of pink on it.
The group arrived in the Watchtowers of Kaiping, which was located in China.
"What's with the towers?"Alice asked.
"Those are the Watchtowers of Kaiping."Dojo answered. "China's unsung historic treasure."
Dojo landed outside the watchtowers and the five monks went off of him.
"I am sensing the Shen Gong Wu."Dojo said and began to quickly shake his head. "And it's so close!"
"Good thing, it's not far away."Alice admitted.
"But how do we know where to look?"Raimundo questioned. "There is more than 1,800 watchtowers around here."
"We must split up my friends."Omi suggested. "The sooner we find the Shen Gong Wu before Jack Spicer then after we can go."
"You mean the sooner we leave?"Kimiko corrected.
"Then let's find the Wu before that snake Spicer does."Clay complemented.
The monks went their separate ways to find the Rose Chaplet.
Unknown to Dojo and the five monks, a figure was watching them from a roof of a watchtower.
Alice walked inside one of the towers and headed upstairs.
It was not long until she heard two familiar voices in the top floor.
The Dragon of Ice hid behind a pillar seeing Jack and Wuya next to the Rose Chaplet which was lying on the floor.
The Rose Chaplet looked like a green headband with had lotus flowers and a few leaves on it.
"The Emperor of Darkness reigns supreme!"Jack laughed and started doing a victory dance. "1, 2, 3, 4-"
"Your an embarrassment to evil everywhere!"Wuya snapped. "Stop fooling around and grab that Shen Gong Wu!"
Alice leapt forward and kicked Jack on the face, sending the evil boy genius hit against the wall.
"Sorry to ruin the party wimps, but the Shen Gong Wu is going to the Xiaolin Temple."Alice stated with a smirk.
"Oh look who finally shows up, Little Miss Bubble Gum."Jack taunted. "Fox Chick, your up!"
A figure landed not far from where Alice was standing.
The figure was a girl that had silver grey hair tied up in a high ponytail and a white fox mask with red patterns that covered her face. The outfit she wore was a dark red side-tie dress with floral decorations, white boots with black knee pads and matching gloves. Behind her back were nine grey tails sticking out and a black ninja sash around her waist.
"Already here and don't call me, Fox Chick."Kitsune scowled.
"Really, Spicer?"Alice questioned in disproval. "You send a fox to do your fighting?Boring!"
"Oh don't be judgemental, Alice."Wuya admitted evilly. "Our new friend has a few impressive talents that are quite frightening."
"Really?"Alice said while raising an eyebrow. "Is she a mice catcher like Katnappe?"
"The name is Kitsune, rabbit head."the girl responded and took a white blade. "And I am going to rip your little ears off."
"Wow."Alice scoffed. "That's the lamest intro, I have ever heard."
Kitsune began to attack Alice with her swords causing the pink haired to take out the Komori Sword.
Alice and Kitsune began a furious sword duel against each other.
"You have great reflexes."Kitsune said.
"I learned from the best."Alice responded.
Alice gives Kistune a kick on the stomach, but the fox warrior remained standing.
"As I have."Kitsune shot back.
Alice leapt into the air.
"Komori Sword, ICE!"Alice shouted.
Alice unleashed an icy mist towards Kitsune.
Kitsune dodged and used her free hand to unleash a blue flame energy ball towards the ice mist, cancelling it out.
"What?!"Alice said in disbelief.
"Not so confident now are you, rabbit head?"Kitsune asked.
Just before Alice can respond, Kitsune threw out a small few bombs towards her.
The Dragon of Ice gasped in shock and jumped off the watchtower just as the small bombs exploded.
Kitsune looked down and saw Alice has landed hard on the ground.
Jack and Wuya appeared on a jet car.
"Kitsune!"Jack called out. "We got the Wu! Let's go!"
Kitsune landed on the back seat before Jack took off in his jet car.
"You did well for starters, my dear."Wuya admitted. "More than I imagined."
"Thanks."Kitsune said simply.
The villains took off in the jet car as Alice rose up from the ground revealing a few injuries.
Omi, Kimiko, Clay and Raimundo rushed up to Alice.
Dojo was sitting on Clay's shoulder.
"Allie!"Kimiko gasped in shock.
"What happened, sugar cube?"Clay asked.
"Jack's got a new pet that's what."Alice muttered.
"What about the Shen Gong Wu?"Omi questioned.
Clay helped Alice up.
"Jack took it while the fox got me distracted."Alice said.
"You lost the Rose Chaplet?!"Omi said angrily.
Dojo face palmed in disproval.
"Wait, you gotten beaten up by a fox?"Raimundo chuckled. "She must've surprised you good."
Alice angrily hit Raimundo hard on the head causing the Dragon of Wind to drop on the ground.
"Sorry that I asked."Raimundo groaned weakly.
Afterwards...
When the monks and Dojo returned in the Xiaolin Temple, Alice went to talk to Daniel on her phone.
Alice had a sack of ice cubes to ease the bruise on her forehead.
"A chick wearing a mask beat you up?"Daniel laughed. "That's something you don't hear everyday!"
"Danny, information on Kitsune."Alice reminded with a frown.
"Oh right."Daniel stated. "Kitsune is a skilled fighter and seductress who is completely devoted to glory. As the best ninja in China, Kitsune excels at ninjutsu, sado, combat and poison."
"Whoa, whoa, you mean she likes to get men's attention?"Alice questioned.
"Yep."Daniel responded.
"Ew."Alice scowled in disgust.
"Kitsune never lost in a fight."Daniel admitted. "You are lucky that your still alive."
"Yeah well, let's see if she can defeat five monks all together."Alice retorted bitterly.
Alice ended her call and went out of her room to check the meditation room.
"Fox girl had magical abilities and I ended up eating her dust."Alice muttered darkly. "I'm going to be the one pulling out her tails the next time I see her."
"How was your quest of finding the Rose Chaplet, Alice?"Master Fung asked.
"Humiliating."Alice said as she held up the ice bag on her forehead.
"I heard."Master Fung said.
"Who told you?"Alice asked. "Did Omi tell you?"
"Yes and the other monks."Master Fung admitted.
"Yeah, well, did they also tell you that it'll never happen again?"Alice questioned. "Cause I'm done. "
"Teaching or being humiliated?"Master Fung asked.
"Both!"Alice answered. "Jack's got a new henchman and I tell you this. She is not human."
"Are you sure about that, Young Alice?"Master Fung questioned.
"Well, yes."Alice answered and winced a little. "She has magical abilities and is really good at combat skills."
"A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."Master Fung responded.
Alice blinked in confusion.
"Is that fortune cookie talk?"Alice asked.
"Like icebergs, people normally expose only a small part of themselves and generally just the part they wish to show, Alice."Master Fung stated. "As of now, a family member of yours is waiting at the mill entrance."
"Really?!"Alice said in astonishment.
Alice headed out of the meditation room and rushed to the mill entrance.
The figure was a eighteen year old had long wavy hair that starts out light blonde at the top before transitioning to light pink at the ends. There were two pink bows tied on each side of her head. She had dark chocolate eyes and her skin tone was medium. The outfit she wore was a dark blue Chinese-styled top with silver accents and dark blue pants with matching accents. Beneath she wore dark blue shoes with white accents and white heels.
"I see you haven't changed a bit."
"Natsumi!"Alice squealed in delight.
Chuckling lightly, Natsumi opened her arms wide as Alice squealed with delight and runs over to hug her.
"Let me introduce you to my friends."Alice suggested with a hint of excitement.
Alice lead Natsumi to the obstacle course, where her friends were training.
"Guys, this is my best and favourite cousin, Natsumi Meigui."Alice introduced.
Natsumi stepped forward.
"Call me, Natsumi."Natsumi requested with a smile. "And since Alice told me all about the Xiaolin Dragons in her video chats, let me guess. The team muscle, Clay."
Natsumi and Clay shake hands.
"Pleased to meet you, ma'am."Clay answered.
"Kimiko."Natsumi responded. "Your dad is the owner of Tohomiko Electronics, the biggest electronics company in all of Asia, right?"
"Yep."Kimiko agreed. "And I am most tech-savvy member of the team."
Natsumi nodded and went up to Raimundo.
Natsumi makes her way to Omi.
"And you must be Omi."Natsumi said sweetly. "The running gag, but overall the cute one."
"Yes."Omi agreed. "I am Omi, the Dragon of Water and the top dragon of the team."
Omi notice Alice, Clay, Kimiko and Raimundo glaring at him.
"I mean all of us are top Xiaolin Dragons."Omi corrected with a grin.
"And I happen to be your cousin and other monks main mode of transportation and wise-cracking advisor."Dojo admitted proudly.
"A magical dragon? Fascinating."Natsumi complemented as she bend down before looking at Alice. "I should have arrived here sooner."
"So, Natsumi, what brings you to Earth?"Alice asked.
"I came to see you."Natsumi responded. "And also help you all how to beat Kitsune."
"How do you know about Kitsune?"Omi asked.
"Daniel gives information to me and other members of Alice's family."Natsumi answered. "Unlike reading people's personal diaries."
Alice let out a weak chuckle at that respond.
A While Later...
Clay, Alice, Omi, Kimiko and Raimundo surrounded Natsumi while holding bamboo poles.
Natsumi held a bamboo pole and had a blindfold that covered her eyes.
"If you deal with a fox, think of the tricks it has."Natsumi instructed.
Kimiko tried to hit Natsumi with her pole, but the older girl easily blocked it and kicked her away.
Alice launched toward Natsumi and leapt up.
Natsumi easily blocks Alice's blows with her bamboo pole and the pink haired girl slid on the floor.
Omi, Clay and Raimundo tried to attack Natsumi and the blonde haired did a quick spin to dodge them.
After several attempts to attack Natsumi, the five monks lied on in exhaustion.
"Ow..."Omi groaned. "My head is in most pain."
"I can't feel my legs."Kimiko mumbled in pain.
"That's the problem."Natsumi stated as she removed the blindfold on her eyes. "You're all trying to outfox the fox. Don't underestimate your opponent, but don't overestimate them, either."
"So how do we beat a fox?"Alice asked.
"Give way to your opponent, little cousin."Natsumi answered. "That's how you'll gain the crown of victory."
Dojo rushed up to Omi, Clay, Alice, Kimiko and Raimundo as they stood up.
"Hey, guys!"Dojo called out and sweat began to pour from his body. "A Shen Gong Wu just activated and this one makes me sweat!"
Natsumi looked at Alice.
"What's with Dojo?"Natsumi asked.
"Dojo has the ability to sense the Shen Gong Wu, it's pretty normal."Alice replied.
"Yeah, but there is the occasional allergy which is too gross to describe."Kimiko admitted.
"Oh."Natsumi said uncomfortably.
"Can we stop gabbing and grab that activated Sheng Gong Wu?"Dojo suggested.
Dojo grew big causing the monks to go on his back.
"Let's ride, everybody!"Clay insisted.
"Am I allowed to come?"Natsumi asked.
"Of course you are, Natsumi."Omi remarked. "You will find the journey most pleasant."
In the Sky...
Dojo flew passed a bunch of clouds and a river that reflected the setting sun.
"This is breathtaking and you guys get to fly all over the world on a dragon every time a Sheng Gong Wu reveals itself?"Natsumi asked.
"Yes, Nat."Alice agreed with a smile. "And we don't have to call a taxi to take us to our destination."
"So which Sheng Gong Wu has activated now?"Omi asked.
Kimiko pulled out the Ancient Scroll from her bag and opened it.
"The Teapot Cannon."Kimiko read. "A cannon-like Shen Gong Wu that fires out tea infuser balls that explode into steaming hot tea."
"Seriously?"Raimundo said in disproval. "There is a Wu that pours tea?"
"I am pretty sure the tea is not drinkable, partner."Clay responded.
"Attention boys and girls!"Dojo announced. "We are now arriving in India, please hang on until we land."
The five monks and Dojo arrived in Jaisalmer, India.
It was night time in the golden city.
The water in the river shimmered by the glow of the bright yellow lamps of the buildings.
Dojo's returned to his normal size.
"This place is gorgeous."Natsumi said in awe.
"Thanks, I have been working out a lot."Raimundo bragged and flexed his muscles.
Kimiko glared at Raimundo.
"She wasn't talking about you, Raimundo."Kimiko stated bitterly. "She was talking about the scenery."
Raimundo blushed deep red realizing that he did something embarrassing.
Alice let out a light chuckle, knowing Kimiko was jealous that Raimundo was trying to hit on her cousin.
"Enough chat chit, we must find the Teapot Cannon."Omi reminded.
"Don't you mean chit chat?"Alice corrected.
"I got to admit this place sure is nice, but not as nice as Texas."Clay complemented.
The group headed inside a fort.
"The Teapot Cannon is close, I can feel it."Dojo answered. "Or it could be this nice refreshing breeze."
"Don't bother finding it, Xiaolin Losers!"Jack's voice called out. "The Teapot Cannon is mine!"
Everyone turned around to see Jack Spicer with Wuya and Kitsune.
"Jack Spicer!"Omi snapped.
"That's right, queball!"Jack laughed and notice Natsumi. "Hello, hottie."
"Focus, you fool!"Wuya ordered with a glare. "I want that Teapot Cannon!"
Kitsune and Natsumi notice each other and secretly share a smirk.
"Jack-Bots!"Jack called out. "Attack!"
A group of Jack-Bots blasted into the fort and flew towards the monks.
Dojo grabbed Natsumi to move her out of the way.
Omi, Alice, Clay, Kimiko and Raimundo launched forward and took out their Shen Gong Wu.
"Orb of Tornami!"Omi shouted.
Omi used the Orb of Tornami to wash away a bunch of Jack-Bots.
"Komori Sword!"Alice yelled out.
Alice used the Komori Sword to slash down the Jack-Bots.
"Shroud of Shadows!"Clay shouted.
Clay became invisible to avoid the Jack-Bots laser blasts and hits the bots with his fists.
"Golden Tiger Claws!"Kimiko yelled out.
Kimiko scratched open a portal to flee from four Jack-Bots before appearing again to scratch them out.
"Two-Ton Tunic!"Raimundo shouted.
Raimundo leapt up and the Two-Ton Tunic activated causing the Jack-Bots that were going towards him to get crushed.
A destroyed Jack-Bot landed where Natsumi and Dojo hid.
Suddenly the wall behind the duo crushed revealing a bunch of stairs that lead up to where a carved statue stood.
Everybody spotted a silver black tall teapot with a purple clock face lying on a hand of the carved statue.
"The Teapot Cannon!"Alice gasped.
Alice rushed toward the Shen Gong Wu.
"Alice, wait!"Natsumi protested.
Alice leaped into the air and headed up the stairs to get to the Teapot Cannon.
Omi, Clay and Raimundo faced off against Kitsune.
"Orb of Tornami!"Omi chanted.
The Orb of Tornami shoot water towards Kitsune.
Kitsune formed the water into a big ball with her free hand and shot it back at Omi, knocking him back.
Clay snuck up behind Kitsune and grabbed her in a bear hug.
But the fox girl slipped out from the Dragon of Earth's, appeared behind him and kicked him to the ground.
Raimundo clapped his hands together to send a gust of wind towards Kitsune.
Kitsune used her sword to capture the wind and cancel it out.
Kimiko came at Kitsune with a flying kick, only for the fox girl to grab her leg and throw her into a wall.
"Get me that Wu, Kitsune!"Wuya ordered.
In quick speed, Kitsune landed near the Teapot Cannon.
Alice and Kitsune grabbed the Teapot Cannon at the same causing a Xiaolin Showdown.
"Kitsune, I challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown!"Alice challenged and took out her Komori Sword. "I wager my Komori Sword."
Kistune took out a vanilla coloured flute with her free hand and blew on it causing a pair of flame coloured gloves to appear next to her.
"I'll wager my Magma Gloves."Kitsune replied smugly. "A game of ice and fire wouldn't be so bad, don't you agree?"
"That explains your magical fire balls."Alice retorted.
"It's my talent."Kitsune answered simply. "What's the game?"
"The game is called Queen of the Hill."Alice stated. "The first person to beat the other and reach the hill is the the winner."
"I accept your challenge, Xiaolin Dragon of Ice."Kitsune said with a smirk. "Try to be queen long enough to raise your flag to the top and win."
"Oh, I am so beating your evil butt!"Alice growled.
"Let's go, Xiaolin Showdown!"Alice and Kitsune shouted.
When the showdown started, the area turned into a big hill and the sky was deep blue mixed with a hint of bright yellow.
Kimiko, Raimundo, Clay, Dojo and Natsumi stood on the left while Jack and Wuya were on the right.
"Gong Yi Tempai!"Alice and Kitsune shouted in unison.
Alice and Kitsune began heading up to the hill.
"Magma Gloves!"Kitsune chanted.
Kitsune creates blue fireballs to throw at Alice and released them.
Alice did a acrobatic flip to dodge the fireballs.
"Komori Sword, ICE!"Alice shouted.
Alice sent cold mist towards Kitsune to blind her.
"You little squirt!"Kitsune growled while covering her eyes.
Kistune melted away the cold mist to go after the pink haired girl.
Alice started heading up the hill with Kitsune following from behind.
Both of the girls were half way to the top until suddenly a bunch of rock rolled down on the hillside, hurtling towards them.
Kitsune and Alice quickly move out the way to dodge the rolling rocks.
"Rolling rocks? Classic."Alice scoffed.
Kitsune grabbed Alice by the shoulder to send both of them back at the bottom of the hill.
Alice went back on her feet.
"Aw foxy."Alice mocked. "You really want me down, don't you?"
"Watch your tongue, little bunny!"Kitsune taunted and threw out fire balls.
Alice dodged the fire balls and winced when she felt a fireball hit her shoulder.
Kimiko, Raimundo, Clay, Dojo and Natsumi gasped in shock while Jack and Wuya smirked evilly.
"Your such a weakling."Kitsune said cruelly. "And you call yourself a dragon."
Alice's expression hardened and got an idea.
"You haven't seen nothing yet."Alice replied grimly.
Alice leapt into the air and took out the Komori Sword.
"Komori Sword, ICE!"Alice chanted.
Alice used the Komori Sword to freeze Kitsune's tails in a big cube of ice causing the fox girl to growl angrily at her.
"You little pest!"Kitsune retorted.
Alice smirked and pulled her tongue out.
"I guess not all foxes are tough as they look."Alice said in amusement.
While Kitsune was melting slowly the ice cube that her tails were trapped in, Alice climbed up the hill, avoid the tumbling rocks and made it to the top.
Alice grabbed the Teapot Cannon causing Wuya to scream in anger.
The monks cheered at Alice.
"Wooohoo!"Omi cheered.
"Yeah!"Clay laughed.
"Alight, Allie!"Kimiko chuckled.
"You go, girl!"Raimundo admitted.
"Not bad."Dojo stated. "Not bad at all."
Natsumi smiled in approval.
The landscape changed back to normal.
Alice walked up to her companions holding the Teapot Cannon.
Kitsune glared at the group while Jack and Wuya secretly sneaked away.
"Next time, it won't be so nice."Kitsune scowled. "I will come back again, little rabbit and I will get even!"
Kitsune threw a bunch of smoke bombs in the area causing the five monks, Natsumi and Dojo to cough.
When the smoke cleared, it showed Kitsune was gone.
"She vanished?!"Omi said in disbelief.
"Somebody's got anger issues."Natsumi joked.
"No kidding."Alice agreed.
Back at the Xiaolin Temple...
It was time for Natsumi to leave.
"Are you can't stay any longer?"Alice asked. "I would feel less homesick, if I a familiar face stayed around."
"Sorry, Allie."Natsumi apologised. "Michiru and Setsuna will end up arguing again, if I don't return home."
"Right."Alice chuckled lightly. "But tell Sergio that he can come and visit here anytime."
"I will."Natsumi assured and patted Alice's head. "And keep up with your training on being a Xiaolin Warrior."
Alice nodded and waved her cousin good-bye before heading back into the temple.
Natsumi started to walked away while her eyes flashed in a dangerous glowing red colour.
Inside the Xiaolin Temple...
Omi, Kimiko, Clay, Raimundo and Dojo finished eating their meals that Alice prepared for them.
"Boy that was delicious."Kimiko said.
"Hey Allie, where is that cake you promised us?"Dojo asked.
"Right there."Alice said as she took out a plate cloche from one of the top cupboards.
Alice placed down the plate cloche on the table while Raimundo licked his lips.
"And here is my homemade pineapple upside down cheesecake."Alice admitted proudly.
Alice lifted up the cloche and notice her pineapple upside down cheesecake was gone which shocked everyone.
"It's gone?!"Kimiko said in shock.
"But how?!"Alice demanded.
"Aw man."Raimundo complained in disappointment.
"I smell a rat in here."Clay admitted.
Kimiko, Clay, Raimundo, Dojo and Alice notice Omi slowly creeping out of the kitchen.
"Omi!"Alice snapped.
"Yes, Allie?"Omi asked.
"You didn't happen to sneak into the kitchen after I left, right?"Alice questioned.
"I may have taken more than just a piece."Omi answered with a awkward smile.
"OMI!"Alice, Kimiko, Clay, Raimundo and Dojo shouted angrily.
Omi cried out in terror as his friends started chasing him throughout the temple.
