The Hughes Residence (Bob and Kim's Home)
Getting out of the car, Barbara, on the first day of her leaving the house and arriving here, made her smile and sigh in relief. It was a welcoming sight of not seeing the trees, the forests and made up kingdoms on the island of Avayanna. Here in Oakdale,, it was more of peace and normalcy but those two things don't last so long in this town. After she was released from the hospital the other day along with her husband and son, she went home and took a nice long hot bath with Henry before they made love into the night in their bedroom. When it was all over, Barbara still doubts, still processing everything about Iris's release from prison. She had these nerves about what Iris would do to her if they met, what they would say to one another, etc. so that's why she's here to talk to the woman who's like family to her,Kim Hughes. Both her and Bob have been there for Barbara during the tough times, even when she had ovarian cancer. Barbara regretted how in some of the years she became bad, she pushed everyone away including Kim but that was all but forgiven. Approaching the door, Barbara rings the doorbell and waits before the door opens and there's Kim who smiled seeing Barbara.
Kim - "Barbara! This is a surprise my dear, come, how are you?"
Kim and Barbara hugged as Kim was glad to see that she was alright. Kim still couldn't fathom the thought of Donovan Curry kidnapping her grandson and Barbara herself. It just wasn't right for him to do it to draw out one of his enemies.
Barbara - "I'm doing alright...just hanging in there, but also trying getting the stench of the island off of me *Smirks*. Though, I have another issue I need to talk to you about"
Kim - "Then you came to the right place Barbara. Let's talk in the living room, do you need anything? Water? Coffee?"
Barbara - *Shakes* "No thanks, I had some to eat earlier before leaving the house. Henry is at Metro's. Gwen and Will are at the movies with Hallie so they're having a good time together "
Kim - "Bob's at the store getting the groceries so he'll be back soon. So it's just you and me Barbara"
The two women go to the living room before sitting down on the couch. Barbara puts her purse on the table and looks around the living room, still looking the same as it always does. On holidays and special occasions, Barbara, Will and whoever was with her would come here to spend time with the Hughes, etc. Barbara felt thankful to be in a place that's like a home to her.
Kim - "Now, what's going on with you Barbara? I'm Sorry we couldn't come and see you the other day. We wanted to visit you, but you've been through a lot lately. It was better to visit for another time"
Barbara - "It's okay Kim, no worries at all. I needed my peace of mind, to be alone last night with Henry when we came home. Will and Gwen are staying at the hotel now but before that they stay at the house to keep a good eye on it when everything happens. Right now I am just glad and blessed to be here"
Kim - "As you should be Barbara, I don't know what would happen if that maniac would of killed all of you"
Barbara - "It wasn't easy when he had someone knock me out and throw me in a cell on the island. Seeing poor Jacob in that cell when I woke up...I didn't know Curry sink that low to use us before to drag Simon straight to the island"
Kim - "That man has no boundaries or no respect for anyone but himself Barbara. He's behind bars for the time being so you're safe,as Margo and the OPD will handle that animal"
Barbara chuckled a bit and shook her head after Kim said that. If only Kim knew of what was about to come out of Barbara's mouth, she would be a physicist right now.
Barbara - "For now but Kim...you heard about Iris Durbanowski right?"
Kim - "Oh dear...I wish you didn't bring that up but I knew you would find out either way. Have you seen her at all since leaving the hospital?"
Barbara shook her head.
Barbara - "No, and that's a good thing. If that bitch caught me off guard, I would slapped her into the next century, never seeing her again"
Kim - *Frowns* "Language"
Barbara - "Ooops...sorry Kim. The thought of Iris being out has me worried you know? Will and Gwen want to give her a chance so that she can be in Hallie's life...but is she going to stay on the path toward goodness?"
Kim - "That only person who can answer that Barbara is Iris herself. Don't worry too much about her, just focus on you and Henry, your family, they matter"
Barbara - "Of course they do Kim...there's just a lot for me to say to Iris that I need to get off of my chest. It's been on my mind since I left the hospital"
Kim - "Okay...so how do you want to handle Barbara?"
Barbara thought of her question and the only way Barbara would get Iris off of her chest, would be to meet up with her when the time comes.
Barbara - "That's a good question...maybe I could talk to her face to face ?"
Kim - "I don't know if that's the right thing to do. Talking to her? Okay...but face to face? Do you think she'll listen?"
Barbara - "Yes, that's how all problems are handled Kim. Didn't you ever want to talk with Susan one on one after Bob had an affair?"
Kim shrugged her shoulders.
Kim - "I think I almost did the last time when it happened. You have no idea how I wanted to slap Susan for trying to steal Bob from me, but I thought of Chris, Sabrina and Frannie and what they would think. It would be better if Susan and I would meet with no one else, not even Bob getting in the way "
Barbara - That's what I want to do Kim, if not that, what else should happen between Iris and I?"
Barbara asked a good question that made Kim think of the next move Babs had to make. Kim wasn't going to force her to do anything she didn't feel like doing, but Barbara and Iris were like to bulldogs. They can bark at each other and howl at the moon the same time, but something had to give. Barbara thought since her and Gwen were watching her and how she was talking with Hallie, Iris didn't have any kind of fight left in her to go after her. If there's no Will and Gwen in the picture, Iris would come at Barbara full speed, but this time it's different. There always came a time where people had to put up their big boy/big girl pants to handle issues, differences with one another, so this shouldn't be any different. Barbara didn't want to run away from this and take care of the matter, to be upfront but remain cautious. She didn't know what Iris was going to do or what she was going to say. But would she really risk losing a relationship with not just Gwen (minus Will since Iris can't stand the brat), but also her granddaughter Hallie.
Al's Diner
Looking at the photos of himself and Nikki on his phone at the same time while looking at the menu, Jack sighed. He was here at Al's Diner with Parker, who was looking at a menu as well. But it was clear as day that the man was still thinking of Nikki, even when the two of them broke up. Lately they would pass each other in the hallways on the way to their desks when they needed to complete their logs for the rest of the days. They said hi, hello and asked each other ,how are you doing? But for Jack, he knew when they bumped into each other or were in a hurry, the feeling of her brushing against his thigh or arm brought a chilling sensation, Jack wanted more. God, the man just wanted to hold Nikki in his arms and take her dancing or take a walk in the park so they could talk and make new memories together. But he felt Nikki was holding back and for good reason, she didn't want to get hurt again. What happened wasn't on one person but they owed it to themselves, so that they could make it work this time. Jack wasn't good at being a big talker but he didn't know how to address the issues with Nikki. Parker on the other hand was just looking at his men and putting it down, looking at his partner.
Parker - "So...what are you going to order for lunch?"
Jack was looking at the menu still but really, he was still looking at his phone too which is in the same hand that the menu is in.
Parker - "Jack?"
Jack still wasn't listening or paying attention to Park, mostly on the menu AND his cell phone. Was the man even paying attention? Likely not.
Parker - "Earth to Jack, are you there?"
Nope, Jack was still looking at the menu, mostly the picture that's on the screen of his phone as Parker noticed it. Parker immediately snatched the menu away and saw Jack on his phone as he smirked.
Parker - "Ah ha!"
Jack was caught off guard and surprised at the same time when Parker snatched the menu away from him.
Jack - "Huh? What were you saying?"
Parker - "I asked you what are you going to order for lunch. You didn't answer me Jack, something got your tongue these days?"
Jack shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. The last thing he wanted to do was drag Parker into his own business.
Jack - "Nah, it's all good. I am sorry about that Parker for not answering you"
Parker shook his head. Jack wasn't going to get away with this, not like that, because Parker knew something was bothering his partner.
Parker - "Not so fast Jack, what are you looking at on your phone?"
Jack - "None of your business"
Parker - "Oh really? Let's see what's going on here shall we?"
Parker snatches Jack's phone away from him and Jack wasn't happy. This kid had no right to be in Jack's business and wanting to find out what he's doing.
Jack - "Hey...give me back my phone"
Jack tries reaching for his phone but Parker moves it further from him seeing a picture of him and his Nikki together. Parker grinned and couldn't believe what he was seeing/
Parker - "What the? You and my sister are together?"
Jack snatches the phone back from Parker and sighs. That was something that he never seen before, even if Parker was on social media at times growing up, he never got into people's business including his siblings. Turning his phone off, Jack now has to explain things to the young detective and someone he trusts the most.
Jack - "We...we USED to be together"
Parker - "Used to be together?"
Jack - "What do you not get Parker. Your sister and I were once in a relationship when she was staying in Dallas, Texas"
Parker - "This was for her FBI job right? I remember Nikki was being transferred from Washington to D.C. at one point"
Jack - "And she ended up working with me at the Dallas PD"
Parker - "Ahhh okay...now it makes sense...the two of you were in a relationship I see. How long were you guys together?"
Jack - "Does it even matter?"
Parker - "I'm just asking Jack, you and my sister were in a relationship together and I didn't know. Actually I remember one day I looked up her Facebook pictures and from time to time, there was always a heart emoji at the end of each message. She wasn't alone...that's for sure"
Jack - "Your sister is a...colorful and active social media person"
Parker - "She's more active than I am which is surprising"
Jack - "And I am not Parker...I like to get off of social media from time to time and not focus on all the hype"
Parker - "Why aren't you and Nikki together still? Why did you guys break up"
Jack - "Well it's kind of complicated...but the two of us made mistakes...mistakes we can't come back from Parker...it's too late"
Parker arched his eyebrow. Too late? That was for quitters when he or she knew they couldn't get back what that person wants.
Parker - "Are you sure that it's too late for you and Nikki?"
Nikki - "What's too late?"
The two men look up to see Nikki Munson, the brother of Parker and Will Munson, and the ex-love of Jack Bradford arriving at the table after she came inside Al's Diner. The FBI/OPD Liaison Officer who works in town locked eyes with her ex as Jack smiled a little bit before he looked away, feeling that this was starting to be awkward. Parker thought this was perfect as he's got the two ex scorn lovers in his presence and maybe if he leaves, the two could talk this out and get back on track. Parker didn't like to see any of his siblings miserable or not happy at all, so for the two of them while they were once in a relationship and then it had to break up, there's no excuse. It wasn't any of Parker's business to go snooping into what his siblings had going on in their personal lives, but was it wrong for Parker to give these two an automatic boost to get things going? Not really, it's now up to Jack and Nikki to figure the rest out as the waiter walks up to the three them. The waiter was going to ask if they were ready to order, but then again, maybe they're not ready.
Oakdale Police Department
After the officer lets Margo in, the Lieutenant of the OPD walks down the hallways of the cells from both sides of the left and right. People who've been arrested for crimes or waiting for their sentence, to be bailed out, etc, are always here each and every other day. Most days this section of the OPD is clear, empty with no one there which was a good thing, but it never lasts that long. For Margo, she wasn't here on a social call or anything else but to see the man who's responsible for not just kidnapping Barbara and Jacob but also involved in other crimes. There were crimes that Donovan was responsible for, that Margo was just notified thanks to Nikki since she's an FBI/OPD Liaison Officer. There were so many things that Margo could say to Donovan right now so the man was on her crap list. Donovan wouldn't care what Margo said because he didn't have a heart, his obsession with Simon is what put him here in the first place. Margo was here to give it to Donovan straight and then let him be, let him stew with what she's going to tell him. Stopping at the last cell to where Donovan is in, she sees him lying on the bench with his hands behind his back. He was whistling like nothing happened, as Margo rolled her eyes before clearing her throat to get his attention.
Margo - "Having fun so far Curry?"
Donovan yawned before standing up from the bench in his cell and stretched. Donovan wasn't having any kind of fun and being stuck here in the cell was pointless to him, more like boring.
Donovan - "It's boring here Margot, I mean you could make it more interesting at least"
Margo - "And what shall I do about that Donovan, entertain you?"
Donovan - "Ooooh...entertain me, what's your pleasure boss?"
Margo was disgusted at Donovan with that dry remark.
Margo - "Not me you slimeball...I am taken in case you didn't know"
Donovan - "I bet the legal eagle is too busy stuffing his face into cases these days. Aren't you too lonely these days in the office? Maybe some excitement is the cure"
Margo - "Even if I wanted some 'excitement', I wouldn't want to get it from a man like you. You're an abomination, a scumbag, a kidnapper and many more, that's why you're here"
Donovan smirked, wagged his finger at Margo while the other hand was on one of the cell bars. She was saying things that were not exactly true but Margo wouldn't give a damn
Donovan - "Oh no you don't Margo. You know how this goes, I can't tell you everything that happened on the island or before that without a lawyer"
Margo - "You don't need a lawyer from what I see Donovan. You would do good defending yourself in a courtroom full of those and a jury that'll love to see you rot in jail"
Donovan - "And? We all know the justice system nowadays in Oakdale and especially in the country. One minute someone goes to jail they get out or someone breaks them out"
Margo - "That's not on me or the Oakdale Police Department but even if you somehow escaped...I would love nothing more but to hunt you down with every resource I have"
Donovan laughs.
Donovan - "What? Send Simon Fraser and the Scooby Doo gang after me again since your cops would bow at my feet?"
Margo - "My officers would NEVER do that to you or any criminal that walks in my city who doesn't pay for his crimes Donovan"
Donovan's mouth opens and pretends that he's scared, taunting Margo with his hands moving around a little. Margo remained stoic still from Simon's taunting and not scared either.
Donovan - "Are you sure about that boss? How many officers are not on the payroll?"
Margo - "Nothing that you need to know, even if I did understand the answer I still wouldn't tell you. That's besides the point...because I also have some news"
Donovan was wondering what the news could be for him.
Donovan - "News for me, good or bad?"
Margo smirked.
Margo - "Do you even want to know?"
Donovan - "Let me take a guess...your sister, great nephew and the gang are crying spoiled milk still after what I put them through"
Margo - "No...you're getting colder"
Donovan arched his eyebrow.
Donovan - "What are you doing? Playing games?"
Margo - "Aren't you going to guess what news I have to tell you?"
Donovan - "Just get on with it Margot"
Margo - "Number one, it's MARGO and number two, the FBI just informed that you have other crimes you've committed...drug trafficking which is one of them"
Donovan - "What the hell are you talking about?"
Margo - "You've been involved in drug trafficking from Australia before coming back to Oakdale. The FBI has been in contact with Australia and they want you there for expedition"
Donovan's jaw dropped, almost at a loss for words before shaking his head. Margo smiled at the thought of the man being thrown into another country so he can get his ass chewed up. This was the kind of announcement that Simon didn't really need at the moment. Margo would think that Donovan feels safe here in the OPD, besides the prison that he's standing in right now protected him. Unless there was some kind of prison break, Simon wasn't going anywhere and he was staying right here...until the time comes for his expedition. There were a lot of things that Donovan expects to happen when he shows up in Australia. He made a lot of connections within his own contacts that he owned them a lot of things, some of it was money for sure but the others was illegal things. Donovan wasn't happy as his eyes narrows before turning his back on Margo and went to the squared section of the window, processing all of this. Donovan can't go back, he can't go back to that hell hole, there has to be another way but not like this...
The Hughes Residence (Bob and Kim's Home)
This was a tricky situation for Barbara as Kim could see that she wanted to put the past between her and Iris behind them, for Hallie's sake. That little girl didn't deserve to see her grandmothers fighting, arguing or trying to tear up the place, one upping each other from time to time, she didn't deserve that. Barbara didn't trust Iris around Hallie and like she told her son at the hospital, he needs to be aware of what Iris is doing. It wasn't Barbara's business to know what Iris did from time to time but she wasn't going to have her do something that hurts not just Hallie, not just Gwen but also Will. No one goes after her baby boy, because she'll make you pay and it's going to hurt, very badly. Barbara wasn't going to fight Iris but she wanted to talk, let bygones be bygones and then move on. Kim thought it was very courageous of Barbara to do this, to where Barbara could just ignore her for the rest of her life which she will. She wasn't going to think that much of her but they had to have this conversation, this one on one, so Barbara wondered what Kim's thoughts were at this moment.
Kim - "Well...if that's what you want to do...go for it, I won't stop you Barbara. I'll support you on this but hopefully you and her can work this out"
Barbara - "I believe we will...I mean it has to take a big person to solve things Kim. I don't want us to unleash a war on this town that no one has ever seen before...maybe back then but now, that's not me"
Kim - "And I know you wouldn't do that Barbara...but what would Iris think of the conversation you're going to have with her?"
Barbara - "The same thing I thought of when mentioning the idea of a talk between us...basically, are you out of your mind? Are you crazy, of course its not going to work out...but we need to try...for Hallie's sake"
Kim nods.
Kim - "She is your granddaughter Barbara. She is not just going to look up to you...she'll be looking up to Iris when the two of them get to know each other more. It's not going to be easy for Hallie to adjust to having two grandmothers"
Kim was right about that, as Iris wasn't there for Hallie growing up while she was in prison for her crimes. Barbara made sure to make the visits to see her son, daughter in law and granddaughter. She loved that little girl so much, she would hate to have anything or anyone like Iris hurt Hallie.
Barbara - "I think Hallie will be able to adjust to it Kim, Iris better not influence her to do bad things when Hallie grows up. She deserves a good life, with good friends, family, and a good man that'll treat her right"
Kim - "Agreed, but call Gwen and let her know the plans you have in mind for a sit down between you and Iris. But when it happens, don't let her get to you if Iris tries to provoke you or wants to fight you. Walk out with your head out high"
Barbara - "And call my son and Gwen to let them know when Iris acts up, they'll cut the cord off of her so quick Iris won't see it coming. But...I will talk to Iris so we can put everything aside and move forward"
Kim - "Good, I wish you the best on this Barbara. It won't be easy but I think you'll get it done with Iris"
Barbara - "I hope so...moving on from that...how's Christopher doing?
Kim - "I spoke to him this morning, he's doing well Barbara. Chris is at home resting after he was checked out the other day after you, him and others came back to Oakdale. He's got a clean bill of health unlike someone else who was diagnosed with a brain tumor"
Barbara - *Raises eyebrow* "Who?"
Kim- "Simon...Simon Fraser"
Barbara was not pleased, speechless, to hear the news of Simon who has a brain tumor. She just saw him on the island when he came to save them and the man looked healthy at least. But this, all of this sucked hard and now Simon was paying the price for it unfortunately.
Barbara - "Simon has a...a brain tumor?"
Kim sadly nods.
Kim - "Yes he does Barbara. When we came to see Chris, Katie, and Jacob, Simon was there as it wasn't until a couple of minutes after...he fainted, almost falling on the floor. Margo and Katie helped him to the other room"
Barbara - "That's when he found out about the cancer?"
Kim - "Susan told him and that's when Katie came into the room crying, upset...she was heartbroken"
Barbara - "Oh my god...poor Katie...what about Jacob, he's okay is he?"
Kim - "He's okay...but my grandson may have nightmares because of...because of..."
Barbara - "You don't even have to say that name...ugh...he still makes me sick to this day. He kidnapped us because he wanted to settle the score with Simon"
Kim - "And he left scars that are still running deep...he's probably loving the fact that Simon has cancer so he can watch him suffer. He doesn't even have that much time to live"
Barbara - "How long does he have left to live?"
Kim - "Seven months"
Barbara - "Six months!? And there's no treatment or no surgery?"
Kim - "It all depends on the treatment...but it may not be enough to save him"
Barbara - "That just sucks...the man becomes a hero be saving us and now he is going to go through hell Kim...he doesn't deserve this"
Kim - "There's a lesson to always learn...you never EVER take life for granted because one day, one time, one moment...that's all it takes...
Barbara - "Because you only have one life to live"
Both older women nodded and looked at each other before they started to think of Simon including everything that's happened between them over the years. Barbara's life could of been cut short when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer but she overcame it, not just by herself but with the love and support of her family. Simon barely had any kind of family from what Barbara knew about the guy except for Katie and Jacob since he was close to both of them. The man needed support so she wanted to come up wit something that will uplift his spirits up. Later on Barbara left the house and said her goodbyes to Kim as she went to Metro to meet up with Henry, preparing to get the place ready for tonight's opening. Barbara knew she had to tell Henry about this news. Her husband was going to be so sad when he heard that one of his best friends has cancer, but how was she going to tell him? This would be rough for Henry just like it was rough for Katie to hear the bad news. The good thing, Simon may have some kind of miracle to pull off if it's possible.
Al's Diner
The waiter puts the third menu down on the table for Nikki as she sits down but has eye contact with Jack with Parker watching in the background. There was a little bit of awkwardness between the two ex-lovers, but there was that same electricity that's been going on for a long time since Jack was transferred to Oakdale. The last moment they worked together was when they were searching for clues when Hallie was missing. It brought the two of them closer and their bond stronger. Since then the two have been a little more at ease when they bump into one another and just talk about what cases they are working on or anything else that comes to mind. It's better than the two of them being silent and avoiding their issues, issues they haven't addressed yet. Jack wasn't going to push her and he felt Nikki didn't want to push him either until both of them were ready. Parker, he was loving this so much, to see his sister and her ex-boyfriend together in the same venue. Sitting down next to her brother at the table, Nikki made herself comfortable as the waiter made sure she had everything with her, from forks to napkins. Parker cleared his throat and started to stand up.
Parker - "You know something guys, I will head to the bathroom and be right back"
Jack - "Parker, what are you doing?"
Parker - "I need to go to the bathroom, how hard is that for you to understand Jack? Don't worry, I will be back"
Nikki - "Don't take too long Parker"
Parker - *Smirks* "I won't, have fun you two"
Parker leaves the table and goes to the bathroom before the waiter starts to leave. The man had to go to the bathroom but he wasn't going let these two waste an opportunity like this.
Waiter - "I'll be right back with your orders but take your time"
Both of them nod as the waiter leaves, leaving the two of them by themselves. To break any silence or beating around the bush, Jack decided to speak.
Jack - "How are you?"
Nikki - "I'm good Jack, just making sure that the FBI, the Australian government and myself are putting in the preparations for Donovan Curry's expedition"
Jack - "Lovely, it's always good to see a criminal like Curry get what's coming to him. How did he take the news? Or has he found out?"
Nikki - "Yes, Margo is telling him right now as we speak. I wish I could have a front row seat to see his reaction, he'll probably be mortified"
Jack - *Smirks* "Shitting in his pants is a better to say it"
Nikki and Jack laughed a little bit. Jack always had the best humor between the two, even when the moment was tense during their days of catching the bad guys together.
Nikki - "Either way, he's getting what is coming to him. His karma is going to be collected in a very harsh way that should wake him up...but I doubt it"
Jack - "People or shall I say criminals like him never change, they always revert back somehow if they want to cure themselves"
Nikki - "You're right, they never do...how are you doing?"
Jack - "I'm good, you know just settling in to my new place I bought months ago when I arrived in Oakdale. But I decided to keep the old home I have back in Dallas"
Nikki - "The old home in Dallas?"
Jack - "You know...the one with the ranch and all?"
Nikki remembered the moments, the memories they both made in Jack's home where they rode the horses, took care of the barn and during romantic occasions, made love on those special nights including the rainy nights.
Nikki - "Oh yeah...that one...you're going to keep it?"
Jack - "Yes I am. At first I wanted to sell it to put the past behind me...but I felt something in my head told me to keep it just in case"
Nikki - "That's nice Jack...I loved the home that you had...a lot of memories were made when we were together"
Jack - "You're right and I remember every moment of it. It's a good thing that my parents, in both of their wills, gave me the home since they want me to keep their legacy alive. It'll be my escape from Oakdale when things get out of hand or I need a break"
Nikki - "Well I hope you have a good time at the ranch whenever you visit Dallas"
Jack - "Thank you"
Parker - "So what did I miss?"
Parker returns to their table from the bathroom and sits down next to Nikki. The man came out of the bathroom fresh and back in the middle of something he missed out but Parker knew what it was.
Jack - "Oh...nothing...just the two of us having a friendly conversation"
Parker - "Nothing exciting?"
Nikki - "And why are you asking Parker? Interested in something?"
Parker - "Oh no, nothing to worry about...are we ready to order?"
Nikki - "I'm ready to order for sure. Jack?"
Jack - "Yep...I am ready to order *mumbles* anything to shut your brother up from talking so much *mumbles*
Nikki giggled as Parker frowned and Jack smirked before the three of them ordered for lunch. Parker wanted to know all of the details for sure and for him to get shut down like this, the young lad was disappointed in a way. At least his sister and Jack were in a good mood before Nikki came here, but Parker wasn't going to get in to the mix of things. Parker had his own marriage to Faith to worry about which was in a good place. The two of them were were finally working on having that baby together and not wasting anytime. That drive straight to their home got them a head start as the wait was nearly killing them to just get it on. But when the time comes and Faith is pregnant, the two of them will tell their loved ones about it. Jack and Nikki were not focused on having a child, heck, they're still broken up and haven't gotten back together. Maybe the two of them somehow get mixed up in some kind of situation and then the baby can come. Parker would be thrilled to be an uncle again in the near future and a dad but right now, all of that can be a dream for him.
Oakdale Police Department
Simon was stunned to hear that he was going to be expedited to Australia, his own home state where he had committed a number of crimes that he himself committed. He should have known the FBI and the Australian government were in cahoots to get Simon to stand trial but not in a america. The man even had his own enemies in Australia and when he goes back, Simon is going to have a bounty on him. So many people who he crossed back then in Australian, the ones he conned, stole from, robbed them of their money, they're going to be after him. The man wasn't a hero in Australia or a savior, he was the most hated man in the country and there were those who wanted to settle the score with him. Margo stood there, satisfied as he got him where she wanted him with the announcement. Not many people in Oakdale would care not even Simon, Margo and the rest of the rotten spoiled brats who would love nothing more but to see Donovan's downfall. Stepping away from the bars of the cell, Donovan thought of what Margo said, thinking of his next move to make if there was really one. First he's captured, then thrown in here but he was going to get released, then thrown to the wolves in the land down under. This was something he didn't like to hear, the man wanted to live, not get killed.
Margo - "So...now so full of hot air anymore aren't you?"
Donovan was still taking this time and not looking at Katie's sister, who was glad that Simon was speechless. It serves him right that he wasn't the one playing god anymore at this time.
Donovan - "Oh my god...expedition? I am going back to Australia?"
Margo nodded so eagerly and started to clap like an excited school girl. Yes, she was getting a little too silly but anything to annoy the man and make him realize what his future will be like.
Margo - "Yes you are! And you have a lot of friends who can't wait to see you Donovan, it's going to be a lovely reunion"
Donovan - "No, no NO! I can't go back to Australia!"
Margo pretends to pout as she could hear an excuse coming a mile away. Criminals like Donovan only cared about trying to escape and get away from the damage they crated.
Margo - "And why can't you Donovan? You're not sick, I mean yes, you were shot in the arm by someone who wanted to put a bullet in you, my sister but you're already healed"
Donovan - "It STILL hurts!"
Margo - "Are you making excuses for yourself now?"
Donovan - "Well...no...I wasn't trying to make excuses for myself"
Margo scoffed. The man was lying and making a fool of himself as she could see right through his face,.
Margo - "Keep telling yourself that Donovan"
Donovan - "Shut up! Just...shut up will you!?"
Margo pretends to be offended again and puts her hand near her heart. This guy seriously couldn't be trying to play on Margo's sympathy is he?
Margo - "I'm sorry, did I strike a nerve here or there?
Donovan turns around and stares a hole right through Margo, not happy with her as he can see the type of game she was playing.
Donovan - "Of course you did Margo, trying to rile me up"
Margo - "I'm just getting you ready and prepared for your final time you'll be here in Oakdale Donovan"
Donovan - "You're really clever when you try to be so cute. I don't even know how you became an officer of the law"
Margo - "You don't need to know any of that, just know this. Every act of crime you committed will come back to haunt you in the end, there's nothing you can do to prevent your expedition"
Donovan puts his hands on her hips and nods slowly, realizing the end was near for him at some point. This couldn't be happening, not right now or later on, not when the man failed at revenge.
Donovan - "Alright...so when is this expedition going to happen?"
Margo - "When the FBI and the government for Australia makes it official, I will not let you know"
Donovan - "So...it could happen anytime?"
Margo nods and smiles.
Margo - "Anytime...it may even happen right now..."
Donovan - "You don't even have the guys here to take me Margo...where's the cavalry?"
Margo - "Relax Donovan, I am kidding, you should lighten up a little more and take a joke"
Donovan - "There's no JOKE when I am going to be expedited and have my head cut off!"
Margo - "Then you should have stayed away from the people I love, the people I care about, the people you hurt. That little boy you kidnapped, that was my nephew, he'll be having bad dreams from here on out"
Donovan - "Blame Fraser and your little whore of a sister"
Margo's eyes turned red.
Margo - "If there were no bars to separate us, I would have kicked your ass for calling my sister that!"
Donovan smirked.
Donovan - "Did I strike a nerve in you Margo?"
Margo - "I can't wait for you to leave Oakdale, no one will miss you, no one will forgive but no one will forget you. You deserve to die"
Margo starts to walk away from Donovan but then he yanks on the cell bars that makes a sound, getting her attention.
Donovan - "I admit, I am not saint, I am not savior, I am a sinner but I may just have one ace up my sleeve"
Margo gets close enough the bars and stares into his eyes with almost hatred in her eyes. This time she wasn't playing around with Donovan when he mentioned the ace up his damn sleeve.
Margo - "Listen to me and listen good Curry, or any other sleeve you got with you to escape, you'll be hunted down like every criminal i've gone other. You'll have the FBI and the Australian government your heels, do you really want that?"
Donovan grinned and sat down on the bed in his prison as he shrugged his shoulders without saying nothing. Margo was wasting her time here in this prison as no more needed to be said to Curry.
Margo - "I hope they eat you up for lunch in the land down under"
Margo immediately leaves Donovan's cell and the prison section of the OPD before going back into the office. Donovan just claps sarcastically, acting like that was such a good saying from the Lieutenant of the OPD. When she was completely gone from his sight, Donovan's mood changed from sarcastic and easy going from straight up worried. Donovan didn't have his cell phone or any of his belongings with him when he went into processing, so the only hope he could come up with was that one of his men or Ripley could come up with something to save his ass. He's not going back to Australia and face trial for his crimes including the ones that's connected from the past, the ones he hasn't paid for. Those fools in Oakdale didn't have the guys to kill him even if they wanted to. Keeping Donovan alive would make things more entertaining, as guys like Simon Fraser needed Donovan for the fun, the chaos and the mayhem. Simon even knew it himself that he couldn't get enough of Donovan, but would the aussie let his own enemy go down in flames?
