+CHAPTER 14: New pair of skins
Tremorton Police Station, 11:32 PM
As Jenny left the station with her sisters to her side, they all sighed in relief of finishing the paperwork that came with locking up the Space Bikers.
"Phew!" XJ6 exclaimed, "I thought it was the job of the Skyway Patrol to do all this paperwork, why do we have to?"
Jenny with unsatisfied look agreed with her sister, "Yeah, well they decided to write this new rule for me, instead of just beating the badguys and dropping them off, they also want me to do paperwork, it usually takes an 30 mins per arrest, but thanks to you guys it took only 30 mins for 5 baddies."
"Agh, well it took my time away from our breakfast and my date. I think then they should atleast compensate somehow." XJ5 rolled her eyes.
"Nah" Jenny said, "Not worth it, trust me, they just want to get in the way of things anyway, and want part of the 'glory'."
Both XJ6 and XJ5 groaned in sync from that, and said together. "We know."
"I had to deal with some begrudging officers in my time, practically claiming all the glory when I did all the work. Typical." XJ6 rolled her eyes in that memory.
"Whatever about them, were free now and did a good job girl's, soooo what shall we do to celebrate?" Jenny said holding her sisters together, as they thought.
"Hmmm... I want to get back with my Maverick."
"And in that case, I wanna go see Brad, um, you know, maybe he has other ideas too?" XJ6 said with a blush.
"Oh! Brad? Well he's not home yet still...So I don't think we can-"
"Why not go to him still? You know where he might be right?" XJ6 said excited "Lets go surprise him with all of us together, hehe, the look on his face will be priceless...and cute. "
"Suuuure" Jenny said "You know its not a bad idea, would be nice to give him a surprise, plus we just handled a crime that happened, this absolutely disproves the whole crazy 'doomsday in tremorton' idea, his family will have to return home then and we can hang out with him here then!"
"Yessss" XJ6 said to herself, "So lets call him now."
"Sure, you girls do that" XJ5 said. "Im going back to maverick, I'll see you girls at home." She then flew off towards the direction of Mezmers, hoping to see him waiting there.
XJ6 and Jenny just saw their love-struck sister fly away, and gave each other a high five.
"Mission accomplished." Jenny said, "XJ5 is totally in with this guy and she's already doing better then I did with my first date, hah."
"Right, so when do I get a date?" XJ6 said with a smile.
"Hm? Ohhh I see, B-R-A-D. Am I right?" Jenny said with a wink.
"Umm...Maybe." XJ6 said quickly, "Whatever! Lets just call him anyway and see where he is!"
They began to walk home, as XJ6 was suggesting ideas for how to say "Hi" to brad. But not too far behind a bush, there was a figure watching them, it was XJ10, unsure how to introduce herself still.
"Agh...why cant I just come up and say hi to them as easy as that? Even at their breakfast I couldn't just say hi, when I was right next to Jenny. Hm..." She thought for a way to give a introduction still, with the best possible outcome of being close, till she heard a couple of late teen talk about the earlier event with the space bikers.
"Like dude, I think that this should call for celebration, no?"
"Totally! Now our parents will chill out about this thing, they'll totally let us go out now, and we could get some of the 'Stuff' for our party."
"Party?" XJ10 thought, and looked through her memory banks of such things, she only can recall definition of such a word, no examples of what one is like. "Hmm...A social gathering of a bunch of youths is what is right?" A light bulb came to her, one that could totally be how to gain a proper introduction and bond with her sisters. "Perfect...Hey you guys!" She shouted as she came towards them.
The two young men looked at the young lady approaching them, one of them giving the "Look" at her and the other simply asking "Um...Hi? Who are you?"
"Im..." XJ10 didn't think of giving herself a name yet..Maybe its best she comes up with one. So she thought of a list name. She wanted something cool and unique, not something like "Jannette" or "Judy", for some reason she only wants name starting with letter J, but she thought of one quickly, and said "Im Jetta, im new to this town. Um, but I heard you mention something about a party, you guys wouldn't mind if I can be a part of it, right?"
"Why yes, my fair lady" The one with the 'Flirty Look' said. "My name is Conner, and my pal Jason were planning a party this week, that was until the dumb 'Doomsday' fear set foot in this town."
XJ10 looked confused with raised brow, only saying "Uhhhh?..."
Jason then spoke up and explained quickly "Its just whenever things here are calmed down for a few days, the older residents freak out about an upcoming big event, like a earthquake, or Alien war."
"OHh...right, I see." Her mind drifted to something else in mind, about the Alien war bit...something she was reminded of from her father and knew the urgency of what was coming. "Um, anyway, about this party, If I can join, you think I can help in some way? Maybe even invite some people?"
Jason was about to say something but Conner interrupted saying "Heck yeah! The more the merrier! But we can only have so much um...'Drinks'."
"Shhhh" Jason shushed at his friend. Then whispering "We dont even know her dude, what if she's like a bummer for us?"
XJ10 felt offended by that opinion, but brushed it off to keep her cool.
"Nah dude, look at her, she looks cool, and quite frankly hot. She looks like she knows her way around a few party's too." Conner suggested.
XJ10 saw an advantage in this now, and leaned in closer to the complimentary fellow saying "Aww thanks, mmm. Well it is a sure pleasure to meet you and trust me, I can be a fun gal in partys, you'll just have to wait and see." She gave a sweet smile to the boy too, "Was this flirting" she thought? "I like it, hehe."
The boy clearly taking the joy of the conversation while the other rolled his eyes. "Look fine, you can join the party, and if you want to help, then you can maybe also bring in some supplies we'll need."
"Oh? Well no problem, im your girl" she leaned her arm around Jason with assurance in her voice. "Just make a list of what you'd like and I could get what you boys like."
"No problem babe." Jason said, he got a piece of paper out and a pen, writing down some items and a number in the bottom. "and a bonus for you, my number in the bottom, you can call anytime." He gave another look and smirk, it make XJ10 blush a little at the sentiment.
"Mmmm well I'll be sure to give a call as soon as I can, pretty boy, you can count on that." She took off then walking towards where she saw was the closest store for said items. "I'll see y'all soon, later boys."
She had a smile on her face "This is the perfect plan, and I already know how I'll invite the XJ's to this party." she thought to herself "But first..." she reads the first part of the list "I need to get some...Beer? Oh boy."
Meanwhile, at Mall with XJ8, 1:40PM
It was a wonderous experience for XJ8 so far, she went from store to store, trying out different outfits that actually fitted her, to anyone it was a miracle that a suit turned a tall bulky robot to a beautiful girl, now calling herself "Jade".
"And yeah, I'd like to try that one, that one, aaaaand...this one! It looks perfect." the new look of XJ8 brought a new personality also, one more cheerful, but still underlines in it was a undertone of her monotone nature in there, like as if they just added a pint of sweetness to her voice.
"Alright ma'am, this is the biggest size we have too for you, Im sure they'll fit you quite well." The clothing store worker said. "The changing rooms are this way."
XJ8 followed suit, and did as she was doing for the past hour, trying on different clothing and buying the few she could afford and fit. To which in this store she just found a glowing one.
"Its...Its great! Surprisingly more satisfying then my other clothes." Jade expressed with glee looking at the dress she was beholding. A black tight top with a midriff and a short varsity jacket matching her usual color pallet, with a long skirt matching as well.
"It looks wonderful dear, gosh you could be a model with the body like yours." The store clerk said.
"Hmm, really?" Jade said as she looked at herself posing, she indeed had a gorgeous body, one of much athletic build, even abs seen from her midriff, one odd for a teenage girl but this was a robot in a odd exoskin. Non the less she felt like she deserved a body like this, and satisfied with it too. "Yeah, maybe. Mmm."
After purchasing the clothes from that store, she decided to keep these ones on for the while, she had a liking to them. "Now where to next...hmm." XJ8 thought to herself on if she should keep shopping, but she knew she shouldn't keep spending on Jenny's allowance she had, it probably would run out soon. "Eh, I guess im done shopping for now then, I should get back to my sisters to show them off my new look, hm...I can only imagine the jealousy XJ6 would have, hehe."
She kept in mind how her personality, even in her own thoughts, were much different then they were usually. It wasn't something that worried her, but she felt concern if something with the skin is either encoded with a personality alteration or it's something, she had all along inside of her coming out, but just now letting it out. "Maybe Jenny can help me in figuring this out, hm. If I was to also give this to any of my sisters, would they also change personality wise like me? XJ5 seems to have changed a bit when she got a new body..but it is for sure a life changer to have something like that, maybe its just the same for me?"
As she was busy with her thoughts, a commotion was forming around this one part of the mall XJ8 was close to, one that caught her attention as soon as she heard "Help! Thief!".
XJ8 looked to her side and saw a man in a ski mask run out of the store, holding a gun in one hand and a bag of diamonds the next. He then pointed his gun up in the air and show a few bullets to scare everyone away, which it worked. "Everyone get out of the way!" He screamed.
XJ8 felt a tinge of annoyance at this sight. "Ugh, really? A burglary in the mall? Good grief."
The man then started running towards the exit route of the mall, laughing while cherishing the loot he is carrying. "Haha! How lucky of me that all the guards are on a lunch break, this is too easy!"
While in the midst of his prideful run, suddenly what must have been a heavyweight Lineback football player charged at him and crashed him into a stand in the middle of the mall. It made his gunfire at the source of what tackled him, hitting the agitator somewhere. When he fell on the ground, one of his ribs cracked and he was stomach down on the ground with his arms grabbed and held behind him with the one who caught him.
"Agh! What the hell?! Get off of me!" The burglar was stammering on the ground as tried to get up, his arms bother being held behind his back and forced to drop his smoking gun. He was facing head first into the ground, but when he got a look at his attacker, he saw it was a young woman, that woman being no other then Jade!
"I'd stay down if I was you, wouldn't want two broken arms now do ya?" Jade said with a serious tone in her voice, like she was a officer of some kind.
"How did you tackle me to quick!? I didn't even see or hear anyone running towards me. Ahhh! Hey carful with my arm!"
"I should break it for all the trouble you caused, bringing a gun in here too, hm!" Jade applied pressure to his arms more, cracking them in a twist a little, making him whine more. "But you're lucky today im in a good mood." Jade looked up around her, other people looking at her with astonishment and awe. "Someone please call the cops to be here, I cant hold him all day."
"My goodness, did you see how fast she ran? It was like a speeding car just hit him!" one of the spectators said, to which the person proceeded to start taking photos with a musique they were holding. Then soon other people were taking photos too, Jade was ignoring them and just keeping focus on holding down the thief.
"Okay everyone back away, its just a caught thief, nothing more to see here." Finally the bodyguards came back from their lunch break and Jade gladly got up from the perp and allowed them to cuff him.
"Well thank you miss, you certainly made a hero of yourself here, what's your name?"
"My name is Jade, I was just about to leave the mall and-"
"Yeah yeah yeah, great story ma'am, I just needed your name for the report, you have a last name, right?"
Jade took a moment to analyze the moment, should she use her Wakeman name? There might be consequences for that to happen like this getting into the news and somehow her Mother reading it and getting really upset about it, but she thought "Nah, I'll just deny it was me if Mother asks. It should be easy, right?"
"Well, my name is Jade Wakeman."
"Good to know, thanks for you help Jade, hm, you seem to be more faster than you look though if you could run that fast and you caused some property damage with your reckless speed, but because you did it to stop this fellow, we'll let you pass, but leave the security work to us."
"Hm! Absurd, you weren't even here when the thief was escaping, don't tell me to leave the 'work' to you when no one else here would."
"Reckless" Jade thought, "How dare he call me that, when im the more careful and calculated of my sisters, ooooh I want to teach this jerk some manners on whos the 'reckless' one.
Yet something wsa holding her back, maybe it was her logic telling her that its no use or reason to get into an argument about this now, its best to just take your stuff and leave.
"Agh..fine, I apologize for causing damage to the stand here, can I go now though?" Jade replied in a sigh.
"Sure Ma'am, go along now." the Officer waved her off and went back to handling the theif, who just groaned in annoyance of the whole scene.
Jade then went back to her bags and carried them off to the exit. Her mood now ruined by that officer, somehow being a hero isnt as rewarding as it used to be. "Meh" she thought "Maybe Jenny and the others might have same experience too if they had to save the day and in accidental process cause some damage. So what though."
Jade walked along the way home, not knowing though she was being watched though by someone, a figure who's been watching longer then just when she was shopping.
Meanwhile, at Washington D.C, Secret SkyWay Patrol Lab #23
Tensions at the base were still on alert, Nora couldn't take it with the generals who needed her planning and strategy for what they believed was coming up. Luckily, even though to Nora's dismay, had a plan, which Nora un-heartedly agreed, but she knew his plan was the best one in course to take.
"Hmm...How will I be able to even tell Jenny any of this?..." There was also the personal matter she has to take care of still, explaining to her daughter about who this Rekonolav is, and why she should trust him, at least for the time being. She knows how stubborn and naïve Jenny can be but with something like this? She'd hope to never even have to think about Rekonolav, let alone mention him. The time is coming though that she must do that, but also she knows it'll all come to disappoint her greatly to also make the XJ prototypes back into the basement. "I can only hope if by the time I get there, they don't cause any trouble or stir while im gone.. Yeah, they usually are the left alone types, maybe they'll just sit in the house all day and maybe play on the gameboards I have. Yeah yeah, that's it. I shouldn't worry too much then...maybe."
It was coming across to her head maybe to call Jenny again and ask what exaclty she and the prototypes are doing. She decided to do just that, but a sudden urge for another cup of coffee was calling for her and she needed it if she was to stay up still.
She got to the break room, with some other workers were there taking their break as they enjoyed some coffee and lunch. Nora caught the attention of a few of the workers there but she ignored that and simply ordered a cappichino from the machine.
"Hey um, Miss wakeman is it?" One of the lower officers came up to her with an inquire on his face.
"Hm? What could it be now?" Nora thought to herself. "Agh, yes what is it?" She finally spoke and her drink was finally finished.
"I believe I got some goodnews for you, its regarding a incident in Tremorton."
"Oh? An Incident? I suppose Jenny was involved in it somehow."
"Yes ma'am, Jenny was at this place called Mezmers in the morning, and there were reports of the usual space biker gang roaming around and...Well I think you can guess the rest, they came in and starting shooting up the place."
This gave a gasp to Nora as she heard that. "My goodness, was anyone hurt?"
"Well, incidentally no one but the bikers was, and they've just been placed in the Tremorton Jail cell."
"Phew, good...so I guess then the whole town is being less-"
"oh, but I should mention this other thing first."
Nora had a brow raised on that remark, "Oh, yeah? What of it?" she then decided to take another sip from her coffee as she continued to listen.
"Well, it would seem there was more then just Jenny fighting off those bikers."
Nora then spat her coffee out of her mouth into the officers face, which made an annoyed look from him, as Nora yelled "Whaaaat?!"
"Um...yes, there was technically 2 other robots which had your XJ-Prototype models, and I believe they were actually the older models to them."
"Wait, hold it! What do you mean older models? You just mean the previous XJ's right? Not the-"
The man just noded then and said "I mean the older experiment models you made for those prototypes...which you know we said had to be destroyed, or at least heavily hidden for no one, not even XJ9 to have?"
"Agh, I know that! That's why I kept it completely hidden...but let me see whatever photos or recordings you have of the incident, I must see for myself this!"
Nora was then escorted to a database room, with the monitoring of many different cities and landmarks in the country, used to catch surveillance of any incident that needs attention, and also reporting to Nora to alert Jenny. But now, it is being used to show, seemingly like a well placed camera in the Mezmers.
Nora could see that Jenny was sitting along with two of her sisters, XJ6 and XJ5, but they looked very different, in very particular ways.
"Is...Is that the XJ5-221 Model?! That cant be! How and why did they install XJ5 into it?!"
"Um...we don't know ma'am, it just what is it. And-"
"And why does XJ6 have her secound hand?! Don't they know it could-...Agh!" Nora was furious at the scene she was looking at, that not only did Jenny, her 'trusted' daughter not only disobey, but also deliberitly went total opposite to what she wanted her to do. "oooooh, when I get back there, I'll make sure she gets the biggest punishment she could ever imagine! She should already know theyre just prototypes, theyre unpredictable, but with those older mods they have, theyre completely dangerous!"
"Well, I know about that you were told to shut them down and take away their previous upgrades, but how come though?"
Nora took a deep breath and a sigh, trying to calm herself down to be rational about all this, and not act all 'sentimental' like a real mother. "Eh, it's a long story, but to keep it short, when they had these upgrades previously, they kinda gave a side effect to both their personality and actions, ones where I deemed it both dangerous and potentially jeopardizing their main purpose as crime fighters. With Jenny however she can control the upgrades I give her more responsibly, and even willingly gives them up if they are shown to be more burden then useful, but the older models..." she looked again at the monitor, observing how they were all hanging out ,chatting and having fun, and with some boys too, she could even tell on screen that XJ5 was up to something with one of the boys, which worried her more. "'sigh', its only a matter of time before the side effects for them may get worse...and worse yet the old memory's too."
"old memory's?"
"Yes...but its private, and not important right now. Let me see what else happened."
They continued to play the recording and it was soon seen how the space bikers broke in, made their threats, but then it could be seen quickly what the XJ's did. XJ6 and Jenny getting into fighting positions first, while XJ5 gave a kiss to one of the boys with them. "Agh" Nora scoffed "Already shes in that mood and stage with that body..."
"How come its bad? You made XJ5 to be more of a social robot the the other prototypes, isnt this-"
"Expected? Yes and no, It was expected she'd be friendly and talkative to others, but to into making a relationship with anyone was out of the question, her body is also whats giving that effect to make her...i guess you could say 'romantic'. I figured a body like that made her look more personable and assistive as well as effective in combat but, from what I remember, she tried using it temptivly for personal sake instead of her duty."
"hm, that wasn't in the report you made for XJ5 to us though.."
"Theres a lot of things I didn't think was necessary to write down. Now continue."
They continued to watch and saw the firefight that insued, its was in a way awe inspiring to Nora to see her creations actually be compitent at their job, seemingly better then the last few times they were active in any situation. Nora thought that maybe, just maybe, those upgrades did come in handy for combat for them, just she knew the consequences later they would have if they continued to have them. "I must say then, im surprised XJ6 and XJ5 are good in their combat, I've never seen XJ5 fight as much in that old body but XJ6...I've seen her do good like Jenny a couple of times, but here, shes more tacticle, and follows Jenny's commands."
"That could be what Rekonolav was talking about maybe? He did say in the call about-"
"I know what he said, just I didn't think he could be serious...its giving me secound thoughts on his plan now."
They paused the video as Nora took a breath, "I think I need a minute, I've seen enough."
"They did cause some damage to the store with their weapons they have, I assume came with the old mods they have? I suppose though the space bikers, they were packing real heat and I guess the situation couldve been messier if they didn't have their own weapons too."
"Yeah, I know. Damn..If Jenny was alone in that situation though it couldve been much worse for her."
"So...what? Does this mean you'll ease up on them?"
"hmm..."
There was a bit of silence in the room for a moment, the officer looked down for a moment to think as well, until he spoke.
"Well...not that its any of my business, but considering they were heros in the aftermath of the fight, it might be better if they were treated as such when youre there?"
"No." Nora said, with a terrible chill in her tone.
"oh...why?"
"Well, like I said, Jenny still disobeyed me, I cant let that slide, and also they have their old mods on, I know what will happen if they keep them on and so I must stop them before whats worse to come happens, and lastly, for all I know, they all found their old mods and models, somehow. It might get worse once XJ7 has hers, that one was the worst and most consequence one I gave to any of the previous prototypes, its best I go there now, and shut them all down before its too late."
"Shut them down?! Nora you mad? But what about Rekonolav's-"
"I KNOW ABOUT HIS PLAN! AGH!" Nora yelled. "And I don't care right now on it, we can make it work still, but for now I must be a mother and discipline my creations, because worse comes to worse, they wont listen to the plan or me anyway unless I get them under control."
But Nora knew it wouldn't be as easy as walking into the house and demand their surrender of what makes then in their own time happy. It would probably have to take explaining to them about the plan first, or maybe.. First talk about Rekonolav, as much as she hated the thought of talking about him anymore. She shivered at the thought of one of them asking is Rekonolav is technically their "father" or not.
"Its a bridge I have to cross when I get there. But I need to go now before anything gets worse."
"Well..Goodluck then ma'am? But what will I tell the generals?"
"You can tell them I'm doing my job. They can handle the rest, and message me if anything else comes up."
Nora then left the coffee room doors straight to her office room, and packed her things. She packed her cloths, documents, equipment she brought with her, then lastly the picture she had on her desk, it was one of Jenny and her together. Seeing that picture brought a form of shame to her, but also of worry.
"Ohhh.. I know we don't see eye to eye all the time, but you should know better then this, I thought you'd be more mature and understanding by now on what has to be done.." she thought to herself. For a pause she looked at the photo contemplating, but picked it up and packed it as well with her bags.
She then walked down the hallway to the exit, with one strong thought in mind. "I must get them under control now, or were done for."
Meanwhile, at back at wakemans residence 2:40pm
"Ahhh.. No no no, that's now how youre supposed to mix the batter. You need to use the whisk I gave you, not the spoon." A little baking argument was fomenting in the house with XJ4 and XJ7. XJ4 herself was clean and sophisticated in making her cookie batter, her ingredients placed in alphabetical order, but her mood unamused from what she looked at. XJ7 on the other hand was covered in oil muck mix, her cooking station unorganized and messy, with ingredients scattered around the floor and table.
"Um...well I thought mb a spoon would move more of the ingredients inside the batter..and..." XJ7 spoke nervously, she didnt realize how picky XJ4 can be on how others do their cooking. She thought if she was going to make a mistake, it would be a small thing that XJ4 will correct, but XJ7 just kept making mistakes and it only irritated XJ4 more. "Sorry XJ4...im really bad at this I guess..."
"Agh, look here" XJ4 rolled her eyes and came over to XJ7s side, and got the whisk and began whisking the batter in a fast-professional manner. "You just have to do it like this. Can you try?" She passes the bowl and whisk to XJ7 and XJ7 followed suit the same way XJ4 did it, but only messier and with some of the batter splashing on XJ4s face.
"Ahh! Oh dear, im so sorry sis!.."
"Hmmm..." XJ4 then licked the batter off her lips and gave a good taste to them "Actually, it tastes pretty good! I quite like it." She smiled and wiped the rest of the batter from her face and licked that.
"Wow, um really?"
"Yeah, somehow its better then my cake, mm keep doing what youre doing, it should turn out well enough." XJ4 gave a thumbs up and a wink at XJ7, which made XJ7 smile back at the approval, and with more enthusiasim she stirred the whisk and the batter.
Just then the front door opened and in came XJ6 and Jenny.
"Phew, home sweet home...um." XJ6 said with first restful relief but then looked herway at the kitchen to see it mostly in shambles and a cruddy mess. "Uh, hi?"
Jenny then looked at the kitchen too and was in shock at what she saw. "Ah! What in the blue blazes happened here?"
XJ4 then peeked behind XJ7 with a cheerful smile "Hi girls! Welcome back! I hope you're hungry for some cake and cookies."
"I mean why is this place a big mess!?" XJ6 exclaimed.
XJ4 just frowned and pointed at XJ7 with 4 of her arms.
Jenny and XJ6 just looked at each other in annoyance.
"Yeah, that makes sense." XJ6 said.
"But hey, its great you got her to try some baking though, mmm, it looks like the cake recipe mom makes for me on my birthdays." Jenny said with a more cheerful tone.
"Thanks, we found this recipe in the kitchen shelf here, XJ4 figured we try together to make it." XJ7 said as she held the recipe book, it being titled "Your robot child, and their favorite treats".
"Hey! Mother made for me all those before, the Oil Chipped screw cookies were the best! Id say its perfect for you XJ4, youre already a great cook, I can only hope theyre almost done." Jenny said with twinkle of nostalgia.
"oh well thanks, but also you should try XJ7's cake when its done. It may look... despicably messy now but it should taste good."
XJ6 looked suspiciously at the batter in XJ7s table, and then looked at XJ7 herself, who just smiled with the little joy she can carry though out the day.
"Im not eating that" XJ6 said outload.
"Hmmm. Fine." XJ7 responded, and then put the mixing stick inside her mouth with a spoonful of the batter "Your loss, and you dont even have a mouth anyway."
"Ah! Hey! Rude!" XJ6 spouted off, then walked off to the living room "Whatever, I'll try your cake, but don't think it'll change my mind."
XJ7 just looked at her sister walk off as she continued chewing on the spoon and batter. "Hmmmm."
Jenny sat down at the couch and turned on the tv, just then the news were talking about the Diner incident earlier. "Hey girls! Check it out! Its in the Mezmers together!"
"What!?" XJ4 shouted as she rushed to the room "You're on tv? What happened?"
"Ohhh just watch." XJ6 said sitting next to jenny at the couch, looking smug and expected to see herself get some attention from the news.
As the news played, XJ7 joined in too to see what was going on, carrying the bowl to room and mixing it still.
As the tv played, it showed the scene of mezmers with a reporter there and a couple of witnesses standing around. One of the witnesses was being questioned by the reporter at the scene, it was non other then Daniel, he was being first to be questioned.
"So I saw the bikers first coming in here, threatening to blast the place just for the fun of it! It was for sure a way to ruin ones appetite. But luckily, Not just Jenny, but two of her sisters were with her there in the same time! And that's when the fighting happened, at first one of the XJs gave them a good old 'one-two', but then the biker pulled out some gun and followed suit so did the other bikers, and they all started blasting the place! The XJ's took cover and then they were able to pull out their own firearms and shootback! And then-"
He just kept talking with excitement on the matter and soon enough the reporter pulled away the microphone and continued herself. "Yes yes, we heard it was quite a firefight, but also we heard reports that you and someone else were also sitting in the table with the XJ's who saced the mezmers, that correct?"
"Um, well yeah, that is correct."
"Well we've all seen and known Jenny as being the one who would fight the space bikers from time to time. But now that we've seen her with two of her sisters fighting alongside her, does this mean that Tremorton, or in fact maybe the world, has two new heroes to look forward to trusting?"
"Oh yeah! Definitely! But its not just those two, Jenny has a total of 8 sisters, who used to also be global hero's too apparently, even my parents remember them as that, I'm hoping then that means theyre back for good and that they can help keep us all safe. The two sisters of Jenny that were here was XJ5 and XJ6 I believe."
"Awwww!" XJ6 moaned from hearing that. "He mentioned my name! Im going to be famous!"
"Easy there Sis, you'll be disappointed by the fame news can give of you, trust me." Jenny said, in a remindful tone.
"Yeah yeah. Shh!" XJ4 said, more interested in the tv then the rest of them."
"And from what I know, her sisters all together actually went on a mission together yesterday, Im not too sure what exactly they did but for certain, they did their job right and it shows that having more hero's like this is what this world might need, it makes Jenny's job more easier I imagine." Daniel said finishing up.
"Thats great to hear, lets finish up here, This was Johanna Winters with the channel 5 News, and-"
Just before she finished a flashing green object was flying towards them, and then softly landed right behind the news reporter, it was no other then XJ5 who landed and went up the the reporter.
"Oh my! Well who is this then?" the reporter asked as she turned around.
XJ5 then put herself Infront of the reporter and with a prideful gesture said "It's XJ5, hero of this morning's little incident. I was hoping to find some news reporters here to be in an interview...Oh hi Daniel!"
"Ah! Our sister is on television!" XJ4 exclaimed, more excited than before "Wow! She looks pretty good on tv."
"Hey! That should be us together being interviewed! Now she's stealing the spotlight from us! Agh!" XJ6 said in a strode of jealousy.
"Anyway, yeah so like I assume Daniel explained, me and my sisters certainly fought back together against the bikers, but I took the role of giving a final blow, 'WHAM!', I punched out the ugliest one there and it left a good message for them to not come back anytime soon." XJ5 enjoying the fresh attention, felt satisfaction more in the fact that people are listening to her, then the fact that her 'blabber' sounded more interesting than usual. "It was a real fun too, one I didn't have for years I'd say, phew. But hey, im sure there's more fun where that came from, that is if any other villian wants to interrupt me on any more dates."
"Dates?" The reporter asked.
"Oh, um...Well that's private actually, but hey, those bikers got what was coming anyway, if it wasn't for me then they probably would've done worse damage." XJ5 said with a blush in her eyes "Ahem, anyway, any questions you got, I got plenty of time and answers to give!"
"I cant watch anymore." XJ6 said as she stood up and left the room "She's just going to take all of the fame, and then probably be busy with the fame all day. I've seen enough."
"What? Oh come on XJ6, XJ5 is just having some fun for her first time being on the news." Jenny said following after her.
"Whatever, she's probably not going to be home any time now. She'll probably hang out with her boyfriend all day now..."
"Oh come now, you'd probably do the same thing in her position."
"Whaaaat? Hm...okay maybe youre right, but still, this is XJ5 were talking about here, she usually blabbers on about everything, youd think she would mention us too in an interview." XJ6 then glanced back a the tv, listening to more of XJ5's little interview "And she's still just talking about herself!"
"Well, im sure she'll soon enough get to us."
"Maybe...I need to use a phone."
"Oh? What for?"
"Well...You know." XJ6 said with a blush.
"Ohhhh right. Well if you need privacy, use the one in my room."
"Thanks sis, it wont take long." XJ6 then smiled and went up stairs and into Jenny's room. There next to her bed was her sisters personal phone, used as always to call with friends. Next to it, a rollex of different numbers that Jenny has kept, no doubt many of them possible dates that Jenny has had before, making XJ6 a bit flustered to see Jenny have so many. "Hmpf! Gosh she likes to keep busy with some boys I see... now lets see, where Brad?.." XJ6 flipped over the different cards to look for him and finally he showed up. "Aha! Perfect.."
She rings up the number and it starts to ring, XJ6 realized now how nervous she truly is. She didn't know what the first words are that she should say to Brad, and she felt like if brad heard her own voice, he'd certainly not be interestd in talking much to her, she just had a bad feeling now about this. She didn't know if she should hang up now or just wait and-
"Hello?"
A voice from the phone came on, it was Brad's, his voice swooned onto XJ6's mind and it made her blush even more harder, now she was frozen and didn't know what to do. "Crap" she thought. "Um...Um..." she whispered quietly and just paused for a moment to take in a breath.
"Um yeah? Who is this?" Brad asked, sounding a bit more agitated.
Just then, XJ6 had an idea. Maybe a bad one, but its worth a try. "Like, Hi brad!" XJ6 self pitched her voice, it sounded exactly like Jenny's voice, but with the different tone of XJ6's.
"Oh hey Jen! Whats up? Youre not getting to bored with out me, are you?"
"Well, actually for a matter of fact, I am. I was um...wondering if I could come over and see how youre doing?"
"Yeaaah, its terribly boring here, nothing ever fun is even in this town, my family mostly just watch boring old movies and try to make me and Tucker play jigsaw puzzles, they never let us out, again because of the 'danger' of Tremorton being in total quietness."
"OH! I totally should mention, there's no more need to worry about a danger, because earlier there was a danger!" XJ6 said trying to imitate the same excitement Jenny would have, though she had a sass to it that she hoped didn't sound too off.
"Wait, what? Really? What happened?" Brad sounded both relieved but also kinda worried about what possible danger or destruction came to the town.
"Oh, nothing much. Just the space bikers attacking me at Mezmers, oh and um...also with my Sisters we defeated them."
"Woah really? You activated your sisters? All to just fight off some bikers?"
"Um well-"
"Because, you know that I know those bikers are just push overs to you, I don't see why you'd need to bring along backup for such and occasion."
"No no, they weren't back up, we were just together at mezemers and that's when the bikers showed up."
"Oooooh I see, well, I guess there's a different reason you woke them up?"
"Well...I'll explain later why, right now though, im interested in you...it's quite boring here right now and I wanna come by and just hang out for a while... if you got time."
"Umm...Actually yeah, since the danger alert in Tremorton might be over by now, I guess then my family wont mind me going out for a while, how soon can you get here?"
"Yeah, great, can you tell me where you are though?"
"Oh right, silly me. Im in the next two towns over, 'ThunderBay Village', in 5445 Rocky Ave. You can get here?"
XJ6 quickly checked with her internal map on the locaiton, nothing more but 15 minutes away if theres no trouble in flight. "Perfect!" XJ6 said, but this time with her own voice, "I'll be there in a few! See ya!" XJ6 then slammed the phone down and rushed down the stairs, and picked up her jacket before reaching the door.
XJ4 noticed the rush of XJ6 and quickly said "Oh Hey XJ6, were going to bake the cake now, you wanna-" but before she could finish, XJ6 was already out the door and they could hear a sound of her blasting off the front yard. "Oh...she doesn't want any cake?"
"Hehe, don't worry XJ4, if you hadnt noticed, I think XJ6 is now rushing to her 'date' right now." Jenny said with a wink.
"A date?!" XJ4 exclaimed "Agh, great, first XJ5 and now XJ6, next thing I know, XJ7 will be going on a date and running off and leaving me more stuck with more chores to do."
"Hey, I don't have any interests in dating...especially if no one will be interested in me." XJ7 said, hearing those words over her shoulder.
"Oh I don't mean by that sis" XJ4 came over and hugged at XJ7 from behind "Just I don't want you leaving me right now, otherwise I'll get jealous of you. Besides, I just wanted XJ6 to try out our food together, it should be splendid what you made."
"Besides, she'll be back later. Just for now we'll enjoy more spoils to our selves now, no distractions for us." Jenny said with glee.
"Okaaaaay" XJ7 said with a sigh. "Then just wait a few more mins as we cook the batter."
XJ4 and XJ7 went back to work on the cooking, as Jenny went back to the living room, to continue watching XJ5 talk, more and more she just talked but nothing to mention about her sisters or anything, just herself and about her interests, like she thinks she's in a personal interview, even the reporter is getting tired of hearing the non stop talking robot blabber, but non the less she did look good on tv.
"Sigh..." Jenny sunk into her couch more bored, "I wonder what XJ8 is up to."
Just then, like speaking of the devil, the front door of the house was opened, and Jenny caught her attention to see a quite beautifully strong looking young woman come through the door, one that hulked over her. She carried with her a moody yet pleasant face as a feature and some bags brought from the familiar mall. She didn't say a word except look at Jenny in the living room and analyzed the expression of shock Jenny had.
Jenny, just looked and felt dumbstruck, who she saw was something that both terrified her, but also intrigued her. "Uhh, uhh uh..." was all she could say. She analyzed more of the body, it was a beautifully athletic body but with a hulking thickness to it, but a feminine beauty on it that would certainly attract maybe some gym boys. Jenny herself mostly focused on her face, that face. It's the same looking one as hers when she wore that raggedy suit years ago! The one with a self-personality and tried to take her over! This alerted her, and made her want to go into weapons mode, but also, if behind that suit is exactly who she thinks she is, she doesn't stand a chance, maybe.
"X-..XJ8? Is that you?"
"Good afternoon, Jenny. I um...I guess I have some explaining to do?"
