Rose was sitting alone on a rock next to a huge tree with beautiful exotic looking fruit and wondered a lot about her human friends. Quetzan was now gone, part of the ever growing universe. Zigi was to take care of the body with his sister Cory, who somehow had the ability to see into the future like Garnet. But she felt awful. She wanted to stay with them a little longer.
"Rose? Is everything alright?" asked Pearl.
"I'm fine Pearl. Go back to what you are doing." said Rose.
"Oh no, I'm done. I was just training with Bismuth. You should see Garnet! She's a natural!" said Pearl. Rose stood up and walked with Pearl.
"Show me." she said.
They both used a warpad and it led them to an arena that was abaondoned recently. The Crystal Gems took the arena as their own and they used it to as a training field to fight. Bismuth was one of the teachers there, showing the gems how to defend and fight against homeworld gems. Garnet was standing in front of her while Bismuth held a giant bean bag.
"You got this you two! Punch that bag!" she demanded.
Garnet breathed in and out. She was still in those wierd cotton candy colors, and she did look a little comical with her fists resembling boxing gloves. She punched the bag with everything Garnet has gotten, and Bismuth began to chant.
"Go Garnet! Go Garnet!"
"You can do it!" cried another Gem.
Garnet smiled as she punched the bag so hard, it ripped open and all the beans spilled from it. Everyone in the arena cheered.
"Not bad for a Ruby and a Sapphire." said Bismuth with a smile, patting Garnet's back.
"T-thank you. I didn't know I had it in me." said Garnet.
"I told you she's a natural." said Pearl smiling at Rose.
"She is. She is amazing!" said Rose with her eyes shining with pride.
Pearl blushed and tried to hold Rose's hand, but Rose made a jump to the arena to meet with Garnet. Pearl was a little taken aback by that, but chose to simply ignore it.
"That was an impressive display of strenght!" said Rose to Garnet.
"Thant you. I'm still learning, but I'll get the hang of my new form." said Garnet looking at herself.
Just then, the gems heard someone running to the arena. Rose turned and saw Zigi.
"Help Rose!" he cried.
"What is that?" asked Garnet.
"That is a human Garnet. And he's a friend of ours." said Rose.
"Zigi? What's wrong?" asked Bismuth, surprised to see him after all these years.
"Everyone! It's Cory! They got my sister!" cried Zigi.
"Who?!" cried Rose.
"That big Jasper appeard out of nowhere and it took Cory!" cried Zigi.
"Jasper? Oh no." said Bismuth.
"It's the same one from before I bet." said Rose.
"We will fight her!" cried Pearl. The other Crystal Gems raised thier weapons and chanted. Rose nodded. "Where is she?!" she asked.
Jasper held Cory hostage whle two Topaz Guards stood next to her.
"Tell me where Rose Quartz is and I'll let you go human!" said Jasper.
"You will destroy yourselves. And I can see something in your future... a really bad one full of suffering and strife." said Cory.
"You may have this "future vision" the puny Sapphires have, but you are not a Gem. It's a waste of time keeping you here." said Jasper.
"But General, this human is known to be an ally of Rose Quartz." said one of the Topaz soldiers.
"Maybe we should let it go. We don't need her. Recently, our spies have found one Lapis Gem on Earth and placed her in a mirror. She is now a prisoner and currently under intense questioning. It's only a matter of time before she cracks." said the other Topaz.
"I thought she was already cracked." replied the other Topaz.
"Shut up, the both of you! This human is our hostage. Soon, Rose and her small army of misfits will come out and challenge us. I can't wait to trade blows against her." said Jasper.
"If you say so General." said the Topaz guards.
Cory smiled. "I just saw another vision. Oh boy... you are in for a whilrpool of hate and suffering that will feel like an eternity! I see you trapped under water, struggling to breath while your head is being stepped on. Then I see corruption in your wake. Oh, and what is this I see? Oh my. How peculiar. I see a pink person floating up into the sky and throwing large rocks at you until... oh my. Spoiler alert." said Cory with a smile.
"Shut up with your nonsense human! I know what you are up to. You are using your witch tricks!" she cried.
"I'm not a witch." said Cory.
Just then, Jasper turned around to see Rose standing on a rock.
"Jasper, let the human go!" she demanded. Jasper began to laugh.
"Only you? Where are your broken friends?" asked Jasper.
"We are here! And we are the Crystal Gems!" cried Bismuth as she stood up front, next to Pearl and Garnet.
Jasper snapped her fingers and the Topaz Soldiers blew a horn. Our from the water rose a few more Topaz and Jasper soldiers mixed with Agathes. All of them were perfect looking, without a single scratch on their bodies.
"You cannot beat perfection Rose. We are the ultimate empire in the galaxy." she said.
"We may live in a galaxy, but this is only one Earth! Now let Cory go!" cried Rose.
"Cory? What's a Cory?" asked Jasper.
"I'm Cory." And with that, Cory kicked Jasper on the shin. Jasper didn't feel it, but she knew she was attacked.
"Why you!" she screamed as she was about to punch her.
Cory however felt it coming and quickly dodged it and hid behing the Topaz Soldier.
"Crystal Gems! Attack!" cried Rose. The Gems quickly gathered their weapons and they charged right into the battlefield fighting the soldiers. Pear and Garnet teamed up and they quickly stopped the soldiers from hurting their comrades while Bismuth charged out against the mighty brutes. Jasper tried to get Cory, but she quickly slipped in between the two stoic Topaz and she ran for it, not knowing where she was going. Zigi appeared and grabbed his sister by the hand.
"It's going to be okay. Come with me." said Zigi.
"Zigi! Behind you!" cried Cory.
A Topaz was about to strike Zigi with her sword, until she was stopped by Garnet.
"That was a close one!" she cried.
"You! Your the one with Future Vision!" cried Cory.
"A human with Future Vision? How is that possible?" asked Garnet.
"I was hoping you would tell me." said Cory.
"Talk later guys! We need to get the heck out of here!" cried Zigi.
Jasper ran towards the group, determined to put an end to them, until Rose appeared and stopped her right on her tracks.
"Your fight is with me." said Rose.
"I'll gladly fight you, and I will prove to you that the Gem Empire is not to be messed with! Besides, the Diamonds want to have your head Gem Stone on a silver platter. I'll be the one to vanquish you and when I return home a hero, I will be kissed upon by the glorious Diamonds." said Jasper.
"No. They will instead thank you and then kick you out of their castle." said Rose.
"Shut up! You know nothing!" cried Jasper.
"Hold it!" cried Pearl as she stood in front of Jasper. But in that instant, Jasper striked Pearl, destroying her physical form. Her Gem stone fell on the floor and Rose picked it up.
"Now you have done it. You almost shattered my friend." said Rose.
"What?! Don't make me laugh you hypocrite! You shattered Pink Diamond! You of all people should know what it feels like to break a Gem to pieces!" she cried as Jasper began to attack Rose.
The two of them got into a ferocious fight. Rose used her long rose colored sword while Jasper charged on her like a bull while she wore her very hard helmet.
Zigi, Garnet and Cory were both running away from the fight until Zigi looked back and saw Rose fight Jasper.
"She needs me." he whispered to himself. He then picked up a fallen gem's spear and quickly ran off.
"Zigi... NO!" cried Cory.
"Come back boy! THIS IS THE END!" cried Garnet.
Zigi didn't care. He charged against Jasper and hit her with the spear. As he did, Jasper grabbed the spear with her hands, breaks it with her fists and then she charged against Zigi on the stomach, hitting him with the helmet. Zigi began to bleed from his mouth and nose and fell to the ground looking at Rose.
"I love Rose... I always have..." Zigi fell to the ground... finally passing on.
"Zigi!? Zigi! ZIGI! Wake up!" cried Rose.
"Your human prize killed himself! I only did what was right." said Jasper.
"You monster!" cried Rose as she attacked Jasper furiously.
Garnet held on to a crying Cory as she fell on her knees and began to cry as Garnet comforted her. The homeworld soldiers realized they have lost and they began to retreat while Jasper was beaten by Rose. Her physical form was also destroyed and her gem fell. Before Rose could even grab it, an Aquamarine appeared and took it away into the air.
"Death will fall upon you Rose Quartz! Death will fall upon you!" she cried as she flew with other Aquamarines that arrived to help. But upon seeing the others retreat, they decided to do the same.
Rose sighed and put Pearl in a small bubble. She walked towards Cory who was crying and she gave her a hug.
"I'm very sorry." she whispered into Cory's ear.
Garnet looked up at the sky to see the gems fly off into thier spaceships.
"That's how they are. They don't care about feelings nor Gems. They only care about their Empire growing and growing." said Garnet.
"That's Homeworld for you. One of the reasons why we are fighting so desperately. And the costs are sometimes too great. We just lost a few friends today with their gem stones being cracked. And one human." said Bismuth.
"Oh no." said Garnet.
"What is it?" asked Rose looking up at Garnet.
"That boy's death. It will be passed on in history." said Garnet.
"It's true. What happened today was witnessed by scouts of different villages. Because of Zigi's death... no human would dare join the Crystal Gems nor help in your cause. I'm sorry Rose. But I"m afraid humanity will not be part of this war." said Cory.
"Don't be sorry. I'm glad no one will get hurt in these battles to come." said Rose.
"It's only a matter of time before everything changes..." said Cory.
The Gems stood together and Rose looked up at the sky with worry. "This is not over. Not yet..." she thought.
