The evening was crawling by for Bakugo.

Sunny was busy off being the social butterfly she was, flittering around their classmates, latching onto them, fussing a bit, and then moving on. However, he was acutely aware of how she wasn't fussing him, and it annoyed him further that he was annoyed by that. It was just a vicious cycle of rage as he was annoyed at himself for being annoyed and that made him even more annoyed that he was annoyed.

UGH!

He watched with an intense gaze as Sunny wiggled herself onto the sofa, squidging between Midoriya and Iida. Iida barely paid any attention to her as he continued on his conversation with Uraraka, but Midoriya went all pink in the face when Sunny turned to him, pressing herself up against his shoulder and chatting away just a few inches from his face.

Why did she always have to be all over people?

Bakugo glowered lower, catching Midoriya's gaze and locking it in place. Poor Izuku looked like he was about to shit himself, eyes large and lips wobbling. He didn't know where to look. Looking at Kacchan was scary, but if he looked at Sunny he might explode or Bakugo would explode him.

Kirishima suddenly laughed, smacking Bakugo on the back as he moved past the scowling boy, "Yo, Midoriya, you okay there? You look like you've seen a ghost!"

Midoriya didn't reply, just shook some more now more attention was on him.

Sunny blinked at him, "Don't be like this, Izu," She grinned toothily, suddenly noticing his panicking. She reached up and poked his nose, wiggling it up and down, "We have fun, don't we?"

"I've never been so stressed out in my entire life." He squeaked.

Sunny just laughed, "I know what will help, let's dance!" She then grabbed Midoriya's hand and pulled him up from the sofa effortlessly.

Bakugo growled, taking a step forward, preparing himself to square up to Midoriya but a voice grabbed his attention.

"Todoroki! I'm so glad you came!"

Bakugo swung around to find Mina leading Todoroki into the living room.

Todoroki's expression was its usual blank, but his eyes floated straight past Bakugo to where Sunny was making Midoriya spin her under his arm like a music box fairy.

"Sho! You're here!" Sunny exclaimed brightly, catching his gaze, "Come dance with us! Midoriya has two left feet!"

Todoroki moved forward, but Bakugo stepped out to cut him off.

"You're in my way, Bakugo." Todoroki deadpanned, soft gaze sliding to Bakugo whose eyes were filled with venom, top lip curling slightly.

His words were also like poison when he spoke, "Keep your hands to yourself, Icy-Hot." He growled barely above a whisper.

Todoroki said nothing, barely acknowledging him further as he brushed past him, bumping shoulders as he did.

"Woah, what was that about, dude?" Kirishima swung an arm reassuringly over Bakugo's shoulder, watching behind him as Todoroki joined Sunny and Midoriya.

Bakugo didn't turn around, he wasn't going to look.

"This parties shit." He grumbled, shaking Kirishima off him and moving towards the kitchen, "I'm getting a drink."

Sunny watched with flat ears as Bakugo disappeared from her field of vision and into the kitchen. His shoulders slumped and face expressionless as Kirishima chased after him. Mina watched them go and scuttled off behind them, leaving the conversation she'd just been having with Jiro, Yaoyorozu and Tsu.

"What was that about?" Midoriya asked Todoroki, relaxing a little now Bakugo was gone and no longer glaring daggers at him.

"Nothing," Todoroki replied coolly, "Just a dog trying to mark his territory."

Midoriya pulled a face, turning to Sunny who was now dancing with Kaminari. She was laughing and bumping hips with him, Denki kept bumping her harder and harder, which made Sunny stagger slightly with each hit. She looked like she was having the time of her life though, like a baby being thrown into the air.

"Should we be worried?" Midoriya asked finally.

"I don't think it's our place to meddle," Todoroki shrugged, "Besides, I think some of the other girls have that covered." Todoroki and Midoriya watched as if on cue Yaoyorozu grabbed Sunny by the tail and dragged her off into the hall.

"We need to talk to you, Sunny," Momo whispered forcefully as she dragged Sunny backwards.

"Denki!" Sunny cried, reaching out dramatically towards her friend.

Denki's hand followed hers, the other over his heart, "I'll never forget you, my love."

"Wah~" Momo spun Sunny around a corner and practically hauled the uncooperative girl up the stairs and into Mina's bedroom.

When Sunny turned around, straightening herself up and rearranging her bra, she jumped to find Jiro, Tsu and Hagakure standing before her. Momo moved to stand beside the other girls, mimicking their crossed arms and firm faces – except Tsu, who was stood there like she normally did.

"Ribbit."

"What is this?" Sunny asked innocently, raising her hands up defensively and waving them around nervously.

The door behind her opened and closed, and Uraraka's voice chirped, "I hope you didn't start without me!"

"No, we're just starting," Jiro commented as Uraraka hurried over to the other girls, clearing her throat and replacing her smooth, happy face with a serious one almost comically as she too crossed her arms.

Sunny pulled a face, "What the hell guys," She paused, "Wait – you're not going to kill me, are you?"

"What?" Momo rubbed her forehead, "Why would we-"

"This is an intervention!" Uraraka interrupted, pumping her fist in the air but looking no less nervous when Sunny swung her intense gaze to her.

"An intervention?"

"About you're bad taste in boys." Jiro deadpanned.

"Eh?"

"You and Bakugo went on a date, Sunny!" Hagakure hissed with a squeal, "Did you hit your head or something?"

Sunny stared in horror, "We went on a date? When? Why did no one tell me?"

"Don't play cute," Jiro snapped, pointing a finger accusingly, "Kirishima said he set you two up on a date today. Real proud of himself too."

Sunny huffed, "That sneaky little…"

"Sooooo, how'd it go?!" Hagakure squealed again, earning her a harsh shouldering from Momo, "I-I mean – bad Sunny! Bad girl!"

"It wasn't a date!" Sunny exclaimed with a huff, ears folding back grumpily, "As if hiking is a date. Do you know how many bugs live outside? I saw like twelve. Twelve! That's not a date, that's hell, that's what that is." She pouted, "I don't like bugs."

"Well, Kirishima said it was a date." Jiro scowled.

Sunny rolled her eyes, her tails swished angrily behind her, "I'm pretty sure the two parties involved have to confirm on it being a date for it to actually be one. I could say you were a lemon, doesn't actually make you one though, does it?"

"So… It wasn't a date?" Momo sighed in relief, lowering her arms, "I was so worried."

"Why?"

"Because it's Bakugo," Uraraka hissed, "He's all rawr and bleugh!"

"Well, he's not all rawr and bleugh with me," It was now Sunny's turn to cross her arms over her chest.

"He's not?"

"Well, maybe a little. But he's also funny and interesting. And I like his ballsy attitude, the same way Kirishima does and I don't see you guys grabbing Kirishima to have a girly intervention with him?"

The girls turned silent, Uraraka and Momo looked at the floor, blushing a little.

"We just wanted to make sure you were okay." Tsu chimed in, "We just know what he can be like and-"

"You think I can't look after myself? I'm used to it a little rough around the edges."

"Just because you're used to something doesn't make it okay…" Uraraka said softly, watching Sunny with her big round eyes.

Sunny stared hard for a moment, but then sighed in defeat, releasing her pent-up anger. She looked at her friends; sometimes she forgot that they were that, and not just people she knew. It was hard getting used to people that cared about you and had your back, it was annoying in a way, but it was also nice. She'd spent so long on her own, she forgot how complicated friendships could be, how intensely you cared about one another.

Not to mention, Bakugo could be scary and he could be mean. But he never was to her, was he? She never took it that way, maybe it was the language barrier, or maybe it was because she understood his language.

"I like it," Sunny shrugged quickly, "There's no messing around with him. He is what he is, he doesn't pretend to be something he's not. I don't take offence to his attitude; I find it kind of funny…" She giggled a little, "I like it when his face does that ugly thing, you know the one that's kind of like~," Sunny tried to pull her ugliest face, still laughing a little and sticking her tongue out.

She paused, taking a long look at her friends, her expression suddenly turning serious, "But that doesn't mean I don't have boundaries, I don't let him get away with shit, and to be honest… He doesn't try it on with me… Plus, he's really hot."

"I can see that…" Momo murmured, earning her a horrified look from both Uraraka and Jiro.

"Aaaaanyway," Sunny stretched, putting her hands behind her head and closing her eyes, "Are we done here?"

"So, do you like him?"

Sunny paused, suddenly retracting in on herself, "Eh-"

"Oh my goooooood~," Hagakure sang, suddenly pouncing on Sunny, grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking her, "Sunny has a crush on Bakugo!"

"Five seconds ago, you were scolding me over this!" She hissed, lazily trying to swat Hagakure off her.

Ochaco snuck up too, grabbing Sunny from round the back, "But this is so cuuuuuute~! Look how red she's going!"

"I'm going red because you're shaking me!" Sunny wailed as her friends continued to shake and pull at her, "Wait, has he said anything about me, what brought this on?"

"Yeah, he said something about you," Jiro commented, still stood next to Momo, "I believe his exact words were 'how the fuck do I get her to leave me alone'?"

When Sunny and the others returned downstairs she was a little gutted to not find Bakugo in the living room, she was about to search for him, noticing Kirishima and Mina were also not present when she got distracted by Tokoyami.

She spent the next thirty minutes quietly stroking his head as he sat on the sofa, deep in her own thoughts.

Did she like Bakugo in that way? Every time she thought of him her heart would pick up in excitement. Initially, she had thought it was just that – excitement. Because he was exciting, he was as thick as a piece of wood but also so clever in Sunny's eyes; so quick and sharp. She often felt like she was running to keep up with him sometimes, and she loved that, always being on her toes.

She always wanted to be with him, too. His presence was just so fucking large he pulled her towards him like it was gravity, but she knew she couldn't give in to it. Like this evening, she'd enjoyed him so much that day and she didn't want him to get sick of her (let's face it, she's a handful), because she knew she wasn't getting sick of him anytime soon, and that scared her. Not to mention, spending too much time with someone who made your heart race as much as he did was dangerous. Bakugo didn't seem like the commitment type and –

But fuck, neither was she, right?!

And yet here she was, pondering over if Bakugo would make a good boyfriend or not!

Sunny tried to shake these thoughts out of her head, they made her feel things she'd never felt before. Usually, she was impulsive, carefree and maybe a little chaotic, but… But not with him.

He made her want to be careful.

There was also his touch. Fuck, his touch.

When she held his hand earlier that day, her entire arm got goosebumps. And when she touched him. Her entire body flushed just thinking about it. The way his body felt underneath her fingers, she'd had to pull herself away because she felt nervous.

She huffed loudly, taking Tokoyami's attention who was very much enjoying the head scratches.

He looked up at her, "Sugawara, something bothering you?"

Sunny nearly jumped, "Wha-Who? Me? Totally fine!" She grinned toothily, fighting off the blush on her cheeks.

Tokoyami looked as though he was about to say something else, but just then a familiar song came on through the speakers.

"Denki! It's our song!" Sunny practically hurled herself over the sofa she was standing behind in a mix of excitement, panic and desperate need of a distraction.

"Quick! Into formation!" Kaminari shouted back, grabbing Sunny by the hand as Super Trooper came on through the living room speakers. He pulled her towards him roughly, and they hit each other with an 'oof!'.

"This is going to be gold," Jiro smirked as she got her phone out and started recording.

"I'm not sure what's going on…" Todoroki watched from beside Midoriya and Uraraka, wearing a mildly confused expression and ignoring Uraraka's howling with laugher. Regardless, he got his phone out too and started to record as Sunny and Denki sang and danced with the music.

"They're surprisingly good."

Sunny leapt at Kaminari who messily caught her and span her, the pair of them cackling wildly.

Bakugo, who had remained sulking in the kitchen, was snapped back to Earth by Sunny's loud cackling. Immediately, he straightened up and wordlessly left the kitchen to investigate, ignoring Mina and Kirishima as they followed after him.

Kirishima peered over his shoulder and began laughing with the others.

"The fuck?" Bakugo muttered, watching Kaminari jump onto Sunny this time, yelling the lyrics with such passion, arms outstretched as Sunny looked up at him with pride.

"It's beautiful," Kirishima sniffed, bowling past Bakugo to join the rest of the group.

"How many times have you two watched Mama Mia to know that dance off by heart?" Jiro scoffed as the song ended, putting her phone away.

"We watch it every Monday and Wednesday." Sunny beamed, Denki leant on her shoulder, puffing loudly.

"Fucking ridiculous," Barked Bakugo, still standing at the back of the room.

"Awh, don't be like that, dude," Denki headed towards him, arms outstretched, "We can have a song too, all you have to do is ask- Wah!"

Bakugo shoved his palm onto Kaminari's forehead, stopping him in his tracks from coming any closer.

Suddenly, a loud gong sound scared the crap out of almost everyone in the room. Eyes swung around wildly to find Mina standing on a chair just off to the right of the room, holding a handheld gong up high.

"Where the hell did you get that?" Sero asked.

"The bigger question is who allowed her to have it," Added Tsu.

"Silence!" Mina cried out, shutting everyone up, "Now I have your attention, it's time for a party game!"

"Oh, boy…" Someone muttered.

"Truth or dare!" Mina continued boldly.

"Fuck my life." Someone else complained.

Mina hopped off the chair, dropping the small gong with a clatter – and slapping Sunny's hands away when she tried to grab it – and picked up an empty plastic bottle from a side table.

"We will spin the bottle, and whoever it lands on has to choose truth or dare – simple, right? Even you guys can't go wrong with that-"

GONG!

"Sunny, put that down!"

GONG!

"Someone get that off her!"

Eventually, everyone settled down into a circle.

"Katsuki, come sit next to me," Sunny chirped happily, patting the spot on the carpet next to her.

"There's no way I'm playing that stupid game." Bakugo barked back, still standing at the back of the room with Kirishima, and leaning grumpily against the wall.

"Awh, come on, man, it'll be fun," Kaminari interjected from his spot in between to Mina and Sero.

"I'd rather cut off my own fingers."

"Don't be lame, Katsuki." Sunny whined.

"I'm not being lame," He spat, "I'm just not a damn child. I don't need fucking party games."

"You may not be a child but you're definitely a chicken."

Bakugo shuddered, fists balling up, "I'm not a fucking chicken, either-"

Sunny cut him off by making a series of clucking and squawking noises, to which Denki and Uraraka joined in with.

"Chiiiiiicken~" She sung, putting her hands to her shoulders and flapping them like chicken wings.

"I'm not-"

"Cluck, cluck, cluck"

"Fuck off!"

"Chiiiiicken, katsuki~"

"Fucking fine!" Bakugo stomped over to the circle, sitting down heavily besides a triumphant looking Sunny.

Bakugo sat hunched over himself, elbows resting on the knees of his crossed legs. Sunny watched him with delight as he purposefully ignored her, his face slowly screwing up further and further as her gaze aggravated him more and more.

Sunny tickled the foot that was facing her, to which he snapped back at her, threatening to break her fingers if she did it again.

"You two behave! You're acting like toddlers!" Momo scolded the pair of them, but they both just ignored her.

Sunny smacked her tail into Bakugo's face, to which he quickly bit, hard.

"Ouch!" Sunny cried, quickly reaching forward and grabbing his nipple through his top and twisting it, making him let go of her tail.

"You bitch!" Bakugo roared, tipping himself onto his knees and grabbing at Sunny, who quickly rolled backwards onto Momo who also wailed loudly.

"You two, stop it!"

Sunny had her legs around Bakugo's neck, and his face was quickly turning pink from lack of oxygen, but that didn't stop him whacking and punching any part of Sunny he could reach.

"Someone grab Sugawara, I've got Bakugo!" Kirishima came to the rescue, grabbing Bakugo around the waist and heaving his friend up off the floor. Unfortunately, Sunny still had her thighs either side of Bakugo's face, so she got dragged up with him upside down.

Todoroki slipped his arms under Sunny's and pulled her towards him.

"Dude, careful, you're going to pop Bakugo's head off!"

"That's a risk I'm willing to take," Todoroki muttered as he pulled on Sunny harder.

"It's like their fused!" Kirishima panted, still trying to heave a now purpling Bakugo up. Despite the fact Bakugo was about to pass out, he still grabbed and pulled at Sunny with full force. In fact, he was aiming more for Todoroki's arms that were locked around her chest as the dual-hair boy continued to pull the girl backwards.

All Sunny could think about was how her boob was literally about to pop out.

"Oh, for goodness sake." Jiro stepped forward, having just taken several pictures of the fight she pocketed her phone and raised her fingers to Sunny's stretched sides.

Without warning, she tickled Sunny who promptly screamed with laugher and suddenly unlocked her legs from Bakugo's throat.

Both Kirishima and Todoroki went flying.

"That's it!" Momo shouted, looking flustered as she'd just narrowly avoided a near-death experience herself, "You two are banned from having any interaction for the rest of the evening!"

Both Sunny's and Bakugo's faces fell, "What?"

Bakugo's eyes suddenly swung to Sunny and Todoroki. Sunny had landed straight on Todoroki as he fell backwards, and was now sat straddling his waist, her back facing Shoto's obscured face.

"Get the fuck off her, Icy-Hot!" Bakugo shouted, scrambling to his feet. He swayed a little when blood rushed to his head, but he staggered forward nonetheless, albeit a little askew as he reeled off to the right a bit and crashed into Denki.

"She's clearly on me," Todoroki commented from the floor.

Sunny jumped a little, spinning to find Shoto watching her from beneath her, "When did you get there?"

"When you landed on me."

"Oh," Sunny stood and offered a hand to him.

"Are we all done now? I want to play!" Uraraka complained. She and Tokoyami were the only ones who didn't get up from the floor when all the commotion began.

Eventually, everyone returned to their seats, with Bakugo being banished to the other side of the circle. Kirishima dragged him forcefully by his sleeve as Katsuki glowered at a happy looking Sunny who plopped down in between Tokoyami and Momo.

"I'm going first!" Mina announced, clapping her hands together and crawling into the middle of the circle with the bottle. She spun it and it twizzled around frantically before wobbling to a halt on Hagakure, "Okay, truth or dare, Toru?"

The game continued; with the highlights being when Kirishima had to lick Sero's nipple; Momo had to admit her secret fetish (she said she didn't have one, but the shifty look on her face said otherwise); Jiro had to admit the weirdest place she'd ever put one of her jacks; Kaminari had to wax his leg using some of Sero's tape, and Tokoyami had to show the youngest picture of himself he had on his phone.

To which he just googled pictures of eggs. Sunny lost her shit.

Tokoyami then span the bottle, and it landed on Sunny.

"Truth or dare, Sunny?"

Sunny tapped her chin, "Dare!"

"Do a hundred squats!" Kaminari called, which earned him a slap up the back of the head and a muttered 'pervert' from Jiro.

"I know, I know! Eat a spoonful of the spiciest thing in Mina's cupboard." Uraraka grinned.

"Awh, that's mean, you know Sunny can't handle spicy food." Midoriya sympathised, watching Sunny as her face went pink and her ears flattened.

"That's why it's perfect." Momo cheered, clapping her hands together happily.

"I'm beginning to think you guys like to see me suffer." Sunny wailed, eyes already watery.

She really couldn't do spicy food. Like, pepper was spicey for her. Her sense of taste and smell were heightened due to the physical mutation of her quirk, and food could very easily be overwhelming for her.

Mina was already on her feet and on her way to the kitchen, Kirishima at her heels as they both cackled excitedly.

"I've got to get a picture of this," Jiro smirked, getting her phone out at the ready. Tokoyami did the same.

"Not you too, Tokoyami," Sunny pined, large eyes searching her friends face.

"Sorry, Sugawara, but somethings are just too perfect to pass up."

"I have some of my dad's habanero hot sauce." Mina sang a few moments later, returning to the group with a small, red bottle and a teaspoon.

"That's not that hot, man up." Bakugo jeered from his side of the circle.

"No communicating!" Momo scowled, making Bakugo jump slightly, a little taken back.

Man, what's with all these chicks getting all cocky lately?

Mina fell to her knees in front of Sunny and poured the hot sauce onto the teaspoon. She held the spoon up to Sunny but then paused.

"Awh, man! I can't do it – look at that face! It's like kicking a puppy!"

Sunny was looking up at Mina was the largest, saddest looking eyes, bottom lip quivering.

"It's like Puss in Boots, man." Sero rubbed the back of his neck, feeling sympathetic.

"I'll do it!" Ochaco appeared from behind Mina and practically bulldozed her out the way. Grabbing the spoon and holding it out, "Open wide! Heeeere comes the aeroplane!"

Sunny hesitated, shaking her head.

"Chiiiiiiicken~" Bakugo taunted from his side of the circle, and immediately Sunny opened her mouth, allowing Uraraka to shove the sauced inside. Sunny closed her lips around the spoon and immediately regretted it.
