"I've won them The Cup. I've scored historical goals." D'Jok growled as a medical robot was scanning his body while sitting down on a metal bench. "I created unique moves and lead that team through constant victories." He gripped it harder and harder with his fingers, gritting his teeth and his anger grew. "I won my last match in the last moment with the price of my own health and this is how they repay me?" He punched the bench in one furious move as he watched the news.

"Easy there, striker." Micro-Ice tried to comfort his friend. "What happened? You were fine one minute ago." When they were finally safe, D'Jok freaking collapsed. Like he held the pain in until he was sure they were safe and then let it go.

"That is because he has not recuperated enough from his fall." Harris spoke, reading through some files. Both boys looked at him in curiosity. "The first match in the Cube and the work out the two of you just had created additional damage to the already existing wounds." Harris paused to look up and speak directly at his adopted son. "Keep going on like this and you will risk more than just your football career."

"What can be worse than this?" D'Jok laid his head on his palm, very curious to hear what can top his current situation. He ran away from his own father... he rat his own father out to Technoid. Not that he wasn't sure Sonny easily escaped them again, but the scene itself took its toll on him. It wasn't normal. Nothing about his life is normal anymore... He was just... the worst. He abandoned his team. He left Mei in tears. Maya would certainly be disappointed in him right now...

"You might not walk again." Harris walked over to his Holo TV to show him the analysis of his body the robot made and the diagrams of his back and bones. "When the Riker player fell on you, your column was heavily damaged and nearly broken. It is already fragile enough as it is. Keep pushing it more and the price you'll have to pay will be worse than just not playing your favorite sport anymore. And don't make me start on the current state of your ribs."

"Take it easy, man." Micro-Ice placed his hand on his friend's shoulder to set him back when D'Jok made move to stand. "No career is worth risking your humanity. I don't want my best friend to slowly become a robot." The red-haired boy raised an amused eyebrow. "First it will be some bones, then some legs and arms and soon there will be something wrong with your system and then you will go evil, build an army, and try to take over the galaxy."

D'Jok's face took a serious dark turn as he lowered his eyes to the ground, glancing for a moment at the bracelet around his wrist and the last thing that tied him to his mother. "Micro-Ice..." He breathed doing his best to lower his voice and turn it more robotic as he raised his head, a blank look on his face deprived of any emotion at the moment. "Who says I haven't already started?" Seeing his friend scream in panic and run out of the room drew from him a genuine laugh.

"Jannis." He called to the robot afterward. "Change the channel to the match please." "This is not real! This can't be happening." The team captain hugged her close to his chest.

"Rocket, the League is trying to show the galaxy someone who D'Jok is not anymore." Suddenly she pushed him away, growing very angry. "I swear, I'll make them pay! They think they can bring me down like this? They have no idea who they're messing with! I am not a doll they can play around with and make me win or lose whenever they want. It's my call! They are so wrong! And they're gonna be so sorry!" Rocket slowly brought his hand to his communicator without taking his eyes off her, a little scared.

"Team, I think we need to pass all the balls to Mei." If she keeps being this fired up for the rest of the match then victory is certain. Aarch didn't seem to mind his idea because he did not object.

"That was a narrow escape." Corso panted when they were safely back into their ship and distancing themselves from the Genesis stadium. "I can't believe that he from all the people would expose us to Technoid." Although he understood that families are tough and having a pirate as a father does not help the matter, it still came as a hard blow to him to be put out in danger by the one he expected least to turn against the pirate chief.

"True. But his quick thinking and actions were impressive. He might become quite the pirate someday if playing football doesn't work." Bennet added to lighten up the mood in the ship with some honesty behind his words. Their captain can't be in command forever and someone will have to take his place someday. Why not be his son the heir to his empire?

"Why did he run from me?" Sonny had a pained look on his face. He wasn't harmed during the escape and neither were his men, but he was still hurting. "I did my best to provide him, to earn his trust so that when he needs help it would be me he would come to." His eyes shifted to the cameras they had placed around the giant spinning star. "What is it about him that he doesn't he want me to know?"

"Who knows? Kids these days..." Artie's comment did not help.

"We found him once and we will do it again." The pirate chief said determined, lightly hitting his palm with his fist. "And next time we will sit down and talk no matter if he wants it or not." Perhaps it might not be the best approach, but, at this point he's willing to try anything.

"Don't get reckless, Sonny." His second in command was first to dismiss him. "We found him once by mistake. Who knows if he will walk on the Genesis streets again after this? I say it's not worth risking going into the lion's den." He knew it was harsh, but if the kid wants to be left alone for a while then he should be. And he will come out on his own when he's ready for it.

Maybe it was not worth it. But Sonny would risk it twice if it means he could sit down with D'Jok just for one minute.

Mei became a beast on the field. She tackled, passed, protected the goal post like no other time. Her passes were really good with the sudden boost of energy that took over ever, but the Wambas defense was stronger than ever. They stepped up their game as well. She ignored everything else around her and even her own team as she ran twice past Thran and passed to Tia once instead of Rocket because she thought she would be the one to score. They wanted a spectacle? Well, she was giving them one hell of a show! After Tia, Rocket, and Mark failed to score from her passes she knew she had to take the matter into her hands and the ball at her feet.

"Rocket?" She called out to him. "Let me have the next go. I promise I won't fail you."

"Very well." He replied to her, knowing she was probably the most determined person in the team to win the match. If she feels so secure of her and abilities, who is he to deny her that? "Do you having anything in mind?"

"When the ball shoots again, just stand still. I will do the rest."

D'Jok leaned in carefully watching the match. He held his chin between his fingers as he wondered if the team could pull through. They were all great players, no doubt, but he remembered very well the impact it had on the team when Rocket left. He couldn't imagine how hard they had it losing now again, not only one but two of their teammates. He sincerely hoped they would win the match and go further. He can't lie that he won't feel guilty if they won't qualify to the Cup because of him.

"What is he doing?" He asked himself watching how the ball shoots up, but his former colleague did not make a single move to go after it. "Dude, you're gonna lose the match!" His eyes went wide as the camera shifted to Mei. She was holding three fingers up. "Oh, babe..." And then he understood. He understood what was her plan and he couldn't help but feel proud and sorry for her at the same time. He must've put her in so much pain.

Turning around she activated her flux and she began to run like mad, going faster and faster. She reached the middle of the stadium in no time as the ball came down and dodged Woowamboo's attempt to block her, jumping over his held out leg and shooting the ball with all her strength. It flew at an impossible speed passing through her teammates and some of the Wambas's players.

Boonzoff, their goalkeeper stepped up with The Roar surrounding him wanting to stop the ball before it hit the net. He tried to catch it with his foot, but due to the speed that he hadn't anticipated, the ball slipped between his fingers as the ball his the right, up and left side of the bars before landing over the line and into the net. He remained with his jaw dropped as he heard behind him the scoreboard announcing the score change. "Goooal Snow Kids!" The host announced to all the people watching. "2-0"

"Mei is a lioness. Even if there is still time left, they won't be able to pass her to score and even if they score, it won't make a difference. Good job, darling." It felt weird to speak to the TV like this knowing he wasn't heard by anybody other than the medical robot trying to fix him back to health. He took the remote and closed it right before Mei turned to the camera again raising three fingers.
