Disclaimer: I do not own the Hunger Games.

Caesar Flickerman

He went live in five minutes.

Caesar wasn't allowed to see the scores beforehand, because the audience wanted an authentic reaction. So, he sat in his lavish chair posing and double checking the lighting. After all, you can't have bad lighting on the biggest show there ever was!

His mind wandered back to last years' Victors; Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.

Caesar had taken quite a liking to Peeta last year and was glad he made it out, but, there was always one rule for him. Don't get attached. Odds are, they'll end up brutally killed.

But surely it should be considered an honor to participate in the legendary Games. An even better accomplishment to win.

Soon enough, Bynx, his assistent, trotted into the room.

"Mr Flickerman! Mr Flickerman!" he cried as he came.

Caesar rubbed his temple and sighed, quietly. He could be a bit much sometimes and Caesar was contemplating firing him. "Yes, Mr Ackus?"

"I have the training scores for the tributes here!" he shouted, gleefully.

This gained Caesar's interest, "Already?"

"Yes! You go live in 1 minute so get ready!"

Caesar was surprised at how quickly the five minutes had gone and he made sure to lounge back and prepare his signature grin.

'30 SECONDS TO START' flashed across a screen near him.

'10' he breathed in, deeply, '5' he exhaled it.

'LIVE'

"Hello Panem! Are you ready to meet your tributes?" she rumbled and the crowd went wild. He gave them his signature grin and he felt right at home. "Let's see the tributes from District 1's scores!" he shouted and the first score appeared on the screen.

He scanned his eyes over it and grinned, "Frances Montgomery, 8!" Frances' picture sprang up around Caesar.

"Pixie Farrows," he exclaimed, waiting for the score to come up, "9!" Pixie's gorgeous picture popped up, also.

Caesar grew excited. He just loved this part of the Games.

"And now, District 2!" he declared, eliciting another huge response from the audience.

"Lazarus Lenoir, 10!" he shouted, his smile grew wider. He just loved announcing 10's.

"Athena Mountbatten," he waited for the score to appear, "10!"

Both their pictures joined District 1's.

The noise was deafening and Caesar couldn't even hear the sound of his own voice.

"Shall I tell you the rest?" he called out. The crowd got even louder and he thought he might as well be deaf.

"District 3, ladies and gentlemen!" he announced before waiting for the score.

"Spencer Latier-" his eyebrows raised, "9!" Caesar was surprised, and it surely showed, but he knew it would just make everyone more interested in watching.

"Kayla Johnson, 6!" Caesar, who was used to stereotypes, had thought that District 3 would score 4's or 5's. But no, they had beaten the stereotype.

Their pictures joined the rest.

"District 4, everyone!" he exclaimed and flashed another wide beam.

"Ty Coleman, 9!"

"Skylar Bronze..." he trailed off, glancing at the score, surprised, "6!" he shouted, trying to elicit a roar from the crowd. But some were surprised. Skylar was a career. This was yet another tribute who didn't match the stereotype.

Caesar glanced around, "And now for District 5!" the crowd came back to life, shouting and cheering.

"Mao Chang Lee, 8!" This was met by more applause.

"Quinn Albright, 7!"

Caesar glanced at the 10 photos displayed around him, one for each tribute announced so far and turned back to the crowd with a huge grin, "And now, for District 6!"

"Silver Danzel," he checked the score, again, "7!"

The next score flashed on the screen and he shouted, "Kamyrn McLaren, 8!"

"And that marks halfway! Should we move on to District 7?" The crowd erupted, "I'll take that as a YES!" he shouted.

"Jorgen Hawke, 7!"

The next score surprised Caesar, "Allie Fonata, 9!"

The tributes for this year certainly were extraordinary.

"And now, District 8!" Caesar announced.

"Jackson Roberts, 6!"

Next was young Lily. "Liliana Johnson, 4!" Ah, she'll be a bloodbath for sure, Caesar thought, sadly but excited.

"District 9, everyone!" he yelled out, gaining another enormous round of cheers and applause.

"Guillermo Alternon, 5!"

"Marvyn Wood, 8!" Another great score from an outlier. These Games will be one to remember!

"District 10, is up next!"

"Gael Fox-" Isn't that the 12 year old? "-8!" The crowd erupted in cheers and screams.

"Uritia Rodaleen..." he stopped dead in his tracks and checked the screen again, "10!" The crowd went crazy, yet again.

"District 11!" Caesar shouted in an attempt to gain back everyone's attention. Woah, he thought, I can't wait to see who they kill!

"Jonah Oppulite, 9!" Caesar was confused at this one - didn't he cry at the Reaping?

"Divinity Aster, 9!" he shouted. This one was expected, she was fierce.

Everyone cheered. Looks like 10 and 11'll have a good run this year.

"And, lastly everyone, District 12!" he called, and Caesar visibly saw everyone tense up, waiting to see what Rye's score would be. The brother to one of last year's Victors; one of the star-crossed lovers.

"Rye Mellark," Caesar couldn't help the disappointed expression that flicked across his face, but quickly composed himself, "8!" It was a good score, but everyone had expected more.

"Colette Prescott, 3!" Bloodbath.

All 24 pictures flashed around them and he shot an award-winning grin at the crowd, "Stay tuned for the interviews tomorrow!"

"And cut!" a voice yelled and Caesar stood up immediately.

He gave them a grin, "Well that was exhilarating!" he said and headed out of the room.

There it is, guys! It's, like, the shortest chapter in this book, I know (excluding the first one), but I hope you liked it! I had quite a bit of writer's block writing this so I just kept it simple. Plus, I'm actually supposed to be in school right now *nervous laugh*

But, in 3 days time, my holidays start and I have 2 weeks off! So that's gonna be a lot of near-constant updates, if everything goes to plan! Anywayyyy, I should really get back to school lmao

Sorry if this chapter has, like, a ton of spelling or punctuation errors, I don't have time to edit because I'm actually trying to do a test right now! Okay, bye!

Also, THANKS FOR THE REVIEWS! Okay, bye for real now!

Have a good day/night, guys!
