In a home outside of the capital, there is a man and woman. The man is maintaining his gun in preparation for a new threat. It's an unknown breed of danger beast that's been making its way around the capital recently.
"The new danger beast has been appearing around here lately." The woman says worriedly, the death rate from encountering these ones was 100%. Even though the capital is used to stronger danger beasts, these ones are on a different level. The empire was forced to bring out the Jaegers to take them out.
"Make sure you don't go out alone." The man simply said.
"Yes I kno-" The woman was interrupted by a loud bang on the door.
"Wha-?" The door was broken down, revealing two large white humanoids, the man raised his gun and shot with a resounding bang. The bullet didn't pierce through its skin very far. And the creatures lunged forwards at a quick speed that even experienced Empire footmen wouldn't be able to react to.
The man was swiftly silenced as the creature bit into the man.
There were two more added on the casualty list.
Later at the capital, due to the Jaegers presence the bandits in the capital have much gone on the decline, the only issue is the revolutionary army and Night Raid, the latter being inactive.
"We are planning to reward you due to the fact that the rebels in the area have been cleansed, but we still can't find any men or Tatsumi to be your love." The emperor says while standing on the throne. He's built thin as a stick and is really small. Even for his age.
"No, I already found the one and there's only one Tatsumi." Esdeath simply responded.
"Esdeath, I will have to pull you aside for a request." The Prime Minister, Honest says.
"Hoh?"
Later, Esdeath and Honest are alone in a large room on opposite sides of a large table.
"The new type of danger beast, I want you to capture them and at least a few of them alive ideally."
"Ah, those. I've already looked into that myself. They at first attacked the mines but recently have been entering houses, and eating anyone in their way. I'll take care of this and you can send the reward to the troops up north."
At Night Raid, they also discuss the new breed of danger beast. The danger beast are definitely stronger than the other danger beast, but they're still the elite group of assassins. They can handle any run of the mill danger beast as long as it isn't a super class.
"I know we just got here, but our new enemy is a new type of danger beast. They tend to act in packs, and seem to possess some intelligence. The Jeagers and the soldiers in the imperial army have been killing them daily." Najenda informs the group
"Then the simple solution is to get rid of them!"
"Given what we just heard, it's obvious we should defeat them."
"Wouldn't this be a really good opportunity to pick off some of the Jeagers while they're hunting some of the danger beast?" Vergo asks
"Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines. You guys really are naive…" Chelsea speaks up and agrees with Vergo.
"I understand what you two are saying... Even though we're assassins, I think we're on the people's side! I want to annihilate those beasts as soon as possible to save more people." Tatsumi says with confidence.
This time Najenda says something.
"Vergo, I trust that you can hunt down some of the Jaegers while the rest of us can deal with the danger beast, as long as you don't fight two or more Jeagers you should be fine. The danger beasts aren't a large threat to us anyways, so it's natural for you to take on the task of picking off the numbers of our enemy." Najenda says
Vergo simply nods and flashes away.
Wave and Kurome have finished hunting their danger beast but a large thud is heard behind them.
"Normally, Night Raid would attack at night… but you're pretty far from the capital and I'm not really patient…" The deep monotone voice sounds behind them.
"It's you!" Wave exclaims. Kurome has already reached out to her sword.
'This man is dangerous…' Kurome thinks to herself. Wave has pulled out his teigu
"Indeed it is. I'm going to have to put you down now." The large man simply responded
"Grand Chariot!" A blue armor wraps itself around Wave.
"Shave."
The man vanishes and Wave is shocked. He wasn't nearly that fast before, but he couldn't continue thinking as a fist slammed into his face putting a dent into his face and slamming him into the trees behind him.
"Full Body Armament." The large man's body turns into a deep dark black.
Kurome rushed forwards to thrust into the large man.
"Tekkai (Strength)!"
Her sword doesn't pierce, Kurome is shocked. This man blocked her teigu, maybe the black armor is his teigu? But if it is, then what is it's weakness?
She gets a quick kick to her face and she also flies off.
Vergo leisurely walks towards where he kicked off Kurome.
"You bastard what did you do to Kurome!?" A blue missile launches itself into Vergo. Once again he stands still as it slams into him and he slides back a little bit.
"For justice, I'll kill you here and now!" Wave shouts out and he rushes the large man.
"You're simply too weak to do anything to me." The large man mutters and he vanishes once again. He evades fist flying to his face and ducks but Vergo simply knees him in the face, sending him into the air. He jumps forwards but gets interrupted by a man with a shield.
He naturally blasted through it and the man.
He falls back to the ground and is met with seven other people. Oddly enough, the man with the shield gets back up despite an apparent fist sized hole in it's stomach.
"My teigu controls the dead. I can control eight different corpses. I'll have you replace the missing ones." The little girl simply says
"Then I'll crush all 10 of you." Vergo simply says and the zombies rush forward.
The group of zombies include multiple former friends of Kurome, they aren't weak at all. Including a super class danger beast and a missing zombie, he has to fight a lot of tough opponents. It doesn't matter though. Vergo is the strongest in the empire, and he's been training for awhile since his fight with Esdeath.
"Color of Arms, Rankyaku, Tekkai (Strong Leg)!" An incredibly fierce attack cuts through the weaker zombies in half in an instant.
He looks around to find Kurome gone. Doesn't matter though, if he gets rid of all her zombies she'll be a lot less threatening. Vergo senses something very dangerous from his haki.
"Shave."
A large blast blows through where Vergo was previously. The only thing that remains is scorched earth, all trees and plant life vanished off of the face of the earth. Vergo likes to challenge his foes in a clash of fist, but that was too powerful for him to take head on. So that will naturally be his target.
"Kami-e"
He evades a whip from another undead. Naturally, he won't be able to fight them one on one as he continues to easily evade the whips and the bullets firing through. He jumps into the air and slams his feet out.
"Color of Arms, Geppo-Soru."
And vanishes to reappear in front of the dazed sniper. And he didn't notice the pitch black bamboo stick cleaving through the air at supersonic speeds.
"Oni-Take, Tekkai (Strong Arm)!"
The undead is blown apart completely under the force of the attack and land beneath forms a large crater beneath, and trees shake violently under the shock wave from the attack.
A blue blur rushes in but Vergo simply raises his foot, and Wave slows down to prepare for the attack. Except it wasn't the Rankyaku.
"Tekkai (Strong Leg)!" And slams his foot into the ground, knocking everyone off balance as the earth shifts under the power of the stomp. Wave stumbles around and Vergo takes quick advantage, hoping to finish this quickly, as it is still day time and the resounding shock waves probably have even travelled to the capital.
"Oni-Take, Tekkai (Strong Arm)!"
The bamboo stick slams into Wave's back, his armor crumples under the impact and his armor deactivates after slamming through hundreds of trees, in fact he's quite near the capital. But the problem is he can't feel nor move anything below his waist.
One of the zombies, the one using the whip, barely has recovered when a bamboo stick comes up from above and slams into him. The zombie's bones crumple and it's head explodes like a watermelon.
Kurome has long ago ran away sacrificing everything except her personal body guard and hidden trump card. That man is a complete monster that changes the land permanently when he fights seriously. He's by far the strongest in the empire.
Vergo activates his haki to check where Kurome is. He still has a gorilla, masked individual, and a super class danger beast staring intently at him. The gorilla, being as dumb as it is rushes towards Vergo and throws a fist.
"Tekkai, (Strong Arm)!"
And they clash fist, the bones in the creature's arm crumpling under the force of the fist. It cries and Vergo lifts it up and throws it towards the masked individual who dodges out of the way only for a barrage of fingers from behind to hit him in all his vitals.
Vergo is alarmed by his haki and shaves away, but it's not enough.
"Tekkai Strength!"
Vergo crosses his arms in front of him and focuses all his armament on the front side of his body. Seconds later a large blue ball falls and explodes. Hundreds upon hundreds of meters of earth is blown away, leaving a crater that was formerly a small hill.
Due to the fact that Vergo wasn't in the epicenter of the attack, he didn't take the full brunt of it and got off relatively safely. He's going to be really sore when he goes to bed later that day though. He dusts himself off and realizes his numb in his left arm. He probably broke it.
Vergo flashes forwards and brings out his bamboo stick.
"Oni-Take, Tekkai (Strong Right-Arm)!" And slams down causing a small dent in it's large skull before it swipes at Vergo.
"Geppo-Soru!"
He takes off and lands on its spine. He can't use the Rokougon due to his broken arm.
So he'll just slam into it multiple times instead of one time.
"Oni-Take, Tekkai (Strong Right-Arm)!" His movement becomes rigid as he tenses his muscles and continually crashes down on its spine. It shakes him off and throws its fist towards him.
"Kami-e."
He moves to the side and climbs up on the skeleton's arm.
"Shave."
He rushes up and once again, slams into the beast's spine. Except this time it snapped. The skeleton fell forward with nothing to support itself and crashed. He uses his last burst of haki to find out where Kurome is and dashes off.
"Geppo-Soru."
'All the zombies have been defeated… I'll have to use my trump card…' Kurome grimaces as she detects Vergo rushing towards her. She unsheathes her sword and the ground shakes upon Vergo's arrival.
"Kurome, due to the fact that you're Akame's sister I can give you a swift death if you just stand still." Vergo says.
"I won't die until I kill my sister…" Kurome says as she eats another of her snacks. Her head is thinking of any chance of escaping. She grits her teeth and dashes to Vergo with her sword out.
"It's too bad the weak don't choose how they die." Vergo simply says.
Vergo grits his teeth as he prepares the use of his new technique.
"Tekkai (Strong Leg), Soru-Burst!"
The ground parts as he flashes in an instant and Kurome blinks. Her view is darkened and she feels nothing. Her head detached off of her body in an instant as Vergo rushed forward with his fist straight out. She died without the chance of using her trump card nor could her bodyguard protect her. The two zombies collapse to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut.
At the end of it all, Wave gets crippled.
And Kurome dies.
Vergo silently departs.
