(Gaston's P.O.V.) -Five hours later-

I grimaced in pain as Peri's hand squeezed so hard around my hand, sitting besides her in a chair as I heard her whimpers of exhausting pain which strikes my heart with anxiety and concern. I am so relieved that I am allowed to be by Peri's side as this is Neverland, and there was no rules about fathers being kicked out during childbirth, so unlike in France.

I glanced at Abby who has been placing towels and bowls of water nearby, and I was glad that Kayla went out to get her at the first second when she saw me at her door after waking her up, explaining that Peri's in labor. Of course, Abby went all out, bringing a cot, clean blankets, and even hot water pads as well.

And to add, Kayla alerted Queen Clarion as well, knowing that the Queen will be the first fairy to meet the new baby. By now, the rest of Pixie Hollow is neither sleeping or waking up, and the Queen's maids in waiting will spread out the news soon enough.

The Queen's with the kids in the living room, talking and eating, through I had a feeling that they are too anxious to eat. Ever since the moment when I saw Peri clenching her belly, the contractions were longer and sharp, and now as the fifth hour comes through, they are getting shorter and sharper.

I was half excited when Abby said that Peri is soon due to push after she checked her, and honestly, I was half relieved that all this waiting and painful timing is coming to an finish. I looked at Peri as she shrieked out in pain, "Peri?".

"Gaston...I think I have to push. That one wasn't barely a minute.", Peri spoke out in anxiety, and I glanced over to Abby, but she heard already, and went to check before smiling, "Your intuition proves right. Are you two ready to see the baby?".

I grinned brightly, "About time! Periwinkle, you gotta push, okay?". Peri nodded weakly as she exhaled with a small smile, "Let's welcome our child, shall we?". I held her hand more firmly, knowing that there will be more pain, but it will be of the miracle-giving kind, and I swore I am at her side always.

Abby then grinned, "Alright, take a deep breath, Peri, and on the count of three, you push, alright?". Peri nodded, taking a deep breath just as Abby counted, and for 15 minutes which felt more like a hour, I endured the pain of my hand being crushed, and my heart beat hard at the cries and yells of my wife among Abby's encouraging comments.

I began to cry when Abby announced that she's seeing the head, and Peri screamed the loudest one she ever did as she pushed one final time, and I saw Abby draw a blood-soaked, damp baby into her arms, grabbing a towel as she turned around.

I then laughed tearfully as I heard a baby's cry, the wail of my and Peri's baby echoing out through the air, and I saw Peri crying too, exhaling heavily in exhaustion as she called out, "Is the baby okay?".

Abby turned around with a grin, "Your son's all healthy and well. He sure has a good set of lungs on him.". A son! I heard a sob, and realized that it was coming from me, feeling Peri's hand caress my cheek, "We have a son, Gaston.", whispering in awe and happiness.

"He's a amazing mix of you guys. You wanna hold him, Peri?", Abby asked with a warm, gentle smile. Peri nodded with watery eyes, "Yes, Abby! I want to meet my son.". Abby got up, walking around and over to the empty side by Peri.

"Mind his wings, they're still a bit damp.", Abby chuckled softly, and I gasped softly as I leaned closer while Abby handed our son into Peri's arms. I took in a closer look as I exhaled slowly, "His wings look like Queen Clarion's, but different in color...".

His wings are small as he's a baby, but they are sure a doppelganger to Queen Clarion's wings in shape. The colors are like a silvery-tan golden tone, not quite pixie-dust, but more of a shade off that. Peri hummed lightly, "I guess the shifting dust and all must have been involved in him somehow, and his wings are the result of that.".

I nodded in agreement, "That actually sounds about right, and he wasn't harmed either. Look at him, he's peaceful as a flower.". Peri chuckled warmly, "He certainly has your skin and your hair, darling.". She was right. His skin is exactly the same as mine, being sun-kissed tan, and there is a few wisps of raven black hair upon his head.

I then smiled, "He has your nose and a slightly smaller version of my ears.". Peri smiled softly, "Gliss would be delighted that our son has my nose and Tink's nose.". I laughed warmly, and I saw our son whimper softly, wringing his hands softly as he scrunched his nose quite adorably, and I can see him trying to open his eyes.

"Come on, son, open these eyes for us.", I commented heartily, and Peri added in, "We want to see them, sweetheart.". Our son cooed lightly, snuffled lightly before he blinked heavily, and then finally opened them to reveal doppelgangers of Peri's eyes staring back at us.

Peri chuckled, "You got my eyes, my sweet boy.". I smiled brightly, "He's going to be a handsome one, indeed!". Peri laughed as she half-glared at me playfully, "Oh, you!". I laughed heartily as our son gurgled out loud, blinking at us with a bit of confusion yet wonder.

"Any ideas, l'amour? We can't keep calling him son.", I hummed thoughtfully with a bit of tease. Peri glanced at me in slight surprise, and then blinked as she looked back at our son. I recognized her thinking face, and I smiled softly as I then saw her mouth something.

"Peri? Have you got something?", I asked softly in curiosity. Peri smiled softly as she then looked up at me, "Tage. His name is Tage.". I blinked in bewilderment, pursuing my mouth in confusion before I spoke, "Any reason for that?".

Peri giggled softly, "It's backwards of your name, darling, with a bit of mine as well. Go on, say it as I said it.". I looked at her, and I then spoke the chosen name, quickly realizing that the 'Tag' bit was backwards from the first part of my name, 'Gast', and the 'e' part was from the end part of Peri's name.

I then laughed, "Tage's perfect! A perfect mix of a name as he's a perfect mix of us.". Peri smiled brightly, "That's it. Tage Bell, welcome to the world.". Tage gurgled happily, his wings fluttering upwards as he willed his arms around, and we chuckled at our son's happiness upon his newfound name. This is a wonderful day!
