Cami was with Noah's mom for the night of Trudy's wedding. She had gone to Erin's apartment so they could get ready together. Jay was going to pick them up to drive them to Molly's.
"So, how are things going with you and Jay?" She asked as she finishing curling her hair.
"So good" Erin told her with her entire face lighting up.
"You look so in love" She said.
"I am" Erin nodded.
"I can't believe Trudy is getting married" She said "I am so happy for her"
"Her and Mouch are a perfect couple" Erin agreed.
Quinn stood up and checked her reflection in the full-length mirror. She was wearing a blue bodycon dress with a slight V-neck that stopped just above her knee. She had on a pair of nude heels and she had kept her hair down and her make-up subtle.
"Are you trying to give Mouse a heart attack?" Erin asked "You look amazing"
"No" She replied "But if it makes him notice me"
"He already does" Erin said "But in that dress he can't not"
Jay picked them up. All he could say to Erin was 'Wow' it was adorable. Molly's had been set up with chairs set up either side creating an aisle. She had said hello to Hank and Al when she walked in.
"You look amazing" Kelly told her giving her a hug hello.
"You don't scrub up so bad yourself" She said.
"This is Stella" He said introducing her "She's on truck at 51, Stella this is Quinn"
It was obvious from the way he looked at her that there was something there. She was happy for him. It seemed like there was a lot of love in the air. It made a nice change from the amount of drama there usually was.
"It's really nice to meet you Stella" She said, "Have you seen Mouse, or Gabby?"
"Mouse not yet" He said "Gabby's back there with Trudy"
Quinn looked up and saw Trudy's panicked face looking through the glass of the door. She decided to head back and see if she was ok.
"I can't do this" Trudy said pacing back and forth.
"Yes, you can" Kim told her.
"I'm just so exhausted" Trudy cried "I don't know if I can keep it up, we went on a date in a hot air balloon and he said he'd never felt like that before. Then it's salsa, and cooking lessons…"
"Trudy" Gabby interrupted "He wasn't talking about the balloon he was talking about you; his nickname is literally half man half couch"
"It is?" Quinn asked.
"He was?" Trudy asked.
"Yes" Gabby told her "He's crazy about you, I've known Mouch for a long time and I've never seen him this happy"
"Am I pulling this off?" Trudy asked looking at her dress.
"You're beautiful" Quinn told her straightening her veil.
"I don't even know why I'm talking to you three, none of you can lock down a man" Trudy said pulling out the cleavage enhancers from her bra.
Gabby and Kim looked taken aback but Quinn just laughed.
"I'll see you out there" She said as Kim took a large swig of vodka.
Mouse was there all dressed up. She was only used to seeing him in a beanie hat and jeans.
"Woah" He said as she stood next to him "You look…"
He was aware that Hank was glaring at the back of his head without even turning around.
"Beautiful" He finished "You look beautiful"
"I didn't know you owned a suit" She told him "It looks good on you"
"Are you forgetting I'm here?" Hank asked.
"No, I'm not" She replied "Stop trying to intimidate my date"
Al tired to stop himself from laughing and Mouse looked unsure of himself. To Al it was just a familiar exchange that he hadn't heard since Quinn was 17 or 18. Although he thought Mouse was a better guy than who she used to date.
Hank didn't get a chance to say anything else as the music started and Trudy walked down the aisle. The way Mouch and Trudy looked at each other was enough to set her off, she felt herself tearing up and she wasn't the type to cry. Kim handed her a tissue.
After the ceremony, the bar was reset up for the wedding breakfast with tables. The cake had been cut. It had the cutest topper with a police officer and a firefighter. Quinn was sat at a table with Mouse, Jay, Erin, Kim, and Jay's brother Will. They had all sat around telling stories about their younger years. She was enjoying seeing them all so carefree and happy. Jay, Mouse, and Will had plenty of stories about each other. The drinks had been flowing and everyone was in a good mood.
"You two much have some stories" Jay said "You knew high school Quinn"
"I think she's already covered every embarrassing moment" She replied "I don't think there's any left"
"Just that you were kind of intense about campaigning for prom queen, pretty scary" Erin said "But then you didn't win"
"I did win" She said "I just didn't feel anything, I knew it would mean something to Rachel"
"How did I not know that?" Erin asked.
"I guess you don't know everything" She replied with a shrug.
"Well there was the time you…"Erin started.
"I've got stories on you too Lindsey" She warned jokingly "We're family we should be sticking together not letting them turn us against each other"
"But do you have stories as good as…"Erin said "Never mind
"Mattress land?" Mouse asked
Erin's eyed widened and Quinn looked at him in disbelief.
"Greg Gerwitz you swore you would never speak of that" She said shoving him lightly.
"That discount warehouse with the ads?" Jay asked.
"No" She said quickly.
It was too late Jay already had his phone out googling it. She had no idea how easy it was to find. She had always avoided watching it.
"Sorry" Mouse said "It just slipped out"
"Oh, you will be" She told him.
The tables were cleared out for the evening and Mouch and Trudy had their first dance. Quinn stepped back to make sure there was enough room and realized how close she was standing to Mouse her back up against his chest.
"Sorry" She whispered.
Instead of moving he put a hand on her hip. She felt herself blush slightly, but she kept her attention on Trudy and Mouch. The whole day had been perfect.
"They're just proof that the right person's out there for everyone" Sylvie said "Right?"
"I'd like to think so" She nodded.
Quinn clapped for the couple as the song ended. She heard Al wolf whistle as they kissed. Another song started and Hank asked her to dance. She went with him to the dance floor as a Frank Sinatra song played.
"Do I need to have a talk with Mouse?" He asked.
"We're just friends" She replied "But he's a good guy, you wouldn't need to have a talk with him"
"I'm always going to worry about you kid" He told her "That's what family does"
"I appreciate it" She told him "You're one of the few people I've had looking out for me"
When the song was finished Hank went to talk to Al but he warned Mouse on his was past if he ever hurt her they wouldn't find his body.
"I told him we're friends" She said apologetically.
She was surprised when he took her hand and pulled her in as How long with, I love you played. She raised an eyebrow.
"Since when were you this smooth?" She asked.
"It could be the whiskey" He replied making her laugh.
She placed a hand on his shoulder as he put his on the small of her back.
"You know I wasn't trying to ask you here as a friend" He told her as she looked up at him.
"Then what were you asking?" She asked.
He bent his head to kiss her before he lost his nerve. Quinn closed her eyes kissing him back.
"Finally," She heard Erin say and she smiled into the kiss waving her away.
"Wow" she said softly "Why did we wait so long to try that?"
"I have no idea" He said pushing a curl back from her face and kissing her again.
They sat together at the bar holding hands. He handed her a glass of champagne as they were brought around.
"So, what is this?" She asked not wanting to get burned again.
"I've wanted to be with you for a long time" He told her "I want to try, if you do"
"Officially together not just seeing how it goes?" She asked "I'd like that"
"I found it" Jay announced triumphantly.
"Ok I might take that back" She said narrowing her eyes.
"What the hell are you watching?" Kelly asked looking over Jay's shoulder with Gabby.
"Aww Quinn you're so cute" Gabby told her with a grin.
Jay looked like Christmas had come early and Kelly was smirking at her.
"I gotta watch it again" Jay said, and Erin pulled the phone from his hand slapping the back of his head.
Quinn was in too good of a mood to really be angry. She went to the ladies' room with Erin and Gabby. She checked her hair and make-up in the mirror.
"So, you're just going to be all coy about it?" Erin asked raising an eyebrow.
"That was some kiss" Gabby said "I thought Hank was going to kill him"
"We're together" She replied "And it was perfect"
"I was starting to doubt he had it in him" Erin said.
"You can't stop smiling" Gabby said watching her in the mirror.
"Well she's been in love with him for months" Erin said.
"Shut up Erin" She laughed shaking her head.
"Well I think you're cute together" Gabby told her.
They all spent the rest of the night laughing, dancing, and joking while the drinks continued to flow. She liked seeing Mouse so at ease.
Mouse couldn't believe how well the night had gone. He had been sat with Quinn all night his fingers laced through hers.
"Will you take me home?" She asked leaning in so only he could hear.
Jay gave him a wink as they left together. He walked Quinn up to her front door.
"Aren't you going to come in?" She asked as he hesitated in the doorway.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
She took his hand and pulled him inside shutting the door behind her. She bit her lip as she lent back against the door. He took her face between his hands as he kissed her.
"Bedroom" She said between kisses.
Quinn woke up the next morning in Greg's arms. He stretched while she drew circles on his chest. He settled back kissing the top of her head.
"Good morning" She said leaning up on her elbow her hair all mussed up.
"Morning" He said sleepily making her smile, he obviously was not a morning person.
It took him a little while, but he seemed to be a bit more aware of his surroundings. He sat up and kissed her properly.
"So last night" She said putting her small hand against his.
"Was amazing" He finished for her and she blushed.
"No regrets?" She asked.
"Other than taking so long?" He asked "No"
"I have a daughter and we work together" She pointed out.
"I know both of those things" He said sitting up "Why do you regret it?"
"Not at all" She said shaking her head "But I'll need to tell Cami"
"Then why don't we go out for dinner?" He suggested.
"You'd do that?" She asked.
"All in" He replied.
Quinn wasn't picking up Cami until the afternoon so they made the most of their morning in bed uninterrupted.
