Chapter 25: Parody Battle

"So what's the next episode?" asked Marinette.

"Nuh uh!" Adrien grinned. "Remember? Me and Plagg promised each other a parody battle after this episode, he started it!"

"Actually, can we just-" Plagg started.

"Scared already?" Adrien smirked.

Plagg scowled. "You wish!"

"Then are we on?" he asked.

"Fine," yawned Plagg. "Meow-culous! Two lovesick pests! You know the rest, or-"

Adrien interrupted him. "Meow-culous! You only love cheese! You devour it piece by piece!"

Plagg frowned. "True...fine, beat this! Meow-culous! You smell like rotten cheese! Adrien, please-"

"I only smell like rotten cheese because that's all you eat!" retorted Adrien. Then, he sang, "Meow-culous! You're one foot tall! You look like a Barbie doll-"

"BARBIE DOLL?" Alya burst out laughing.

"I look NOTHING like a barbie doll!" Plagg scowled. "Meow-culous! Your puns really suck! Those cat puns are yuck-"

"HEY! Meow-culous! My puns are the best! They're up to the test, when things go wrong!"

Marinette rolled her eyes. "I can't believe this is actually happening."

"Me neither," Nino laughed.

"I love it!" yelled Alya. "Do something from the chorus, guys!"

Plagg nodded. "Another day! He's back at school! He drools over her, like a fool!"

"WHAT?!" Adrien gasped. "How about THIS, then? Another day, he's in my bag! He eats his cheese, smelling like a rag!"

"He looks at her, and flirts away, but we're all annoyed anyway!"

"You eat so much cheese! I want to gag, because of you, in my bag!"

"Is this supposed to be a roast battle or a parody battle?" laughed Alya. "Because now it just sounds like you're throwing insults at each other."

Plagg and Adrien both ignored her.

Plagg tried to mimic Adrien. "OH OH OH! Ladybug please love me! OH OH OH! I'm a desperate cat, can't you see!-"

Marinette burst into laughter. "THAT IS SO TRUE!"

"IS NOT!" Adrien yelled.

"Is too!" giggled Marinette.

"Fine, you want to do that?" Adrien rolled his eyes. "OH OH OH! I need so much more cheese! OH OH OH! Give to me, Adrien please!-"

"OH OH OH! And when you see her smile, that's when you flirt and flirt and flirt!"

"That doesn't even rhyme!" exclaimed Adrien.

"So?" he scowled. "I can create music without rhyming!"

Adrien smirked. "MEOW-CULOUS! PLAGG IS A PEST! HE NEEDS TO DIGEST, OR THINGS GO WRONG!"

Plagg gasped in outrage. "Oh. No. You. Didn't! You wanna play that game? FINE! MEOW-CULOUS! ADRIEN'S DUMB! HE'S SO OBLIVIOUS AND HEART NUMB!"

"It's so cute how you both sing Meow-culous instead of Miraculous!" laughed Marinette.

Adrien looked confused. "What?"

"It's "miraculous" but meow-culous sounds cute anyways," she smiled.

Adrien laughed. "Oh god, I actually thought it was "Meow-culous", you know, since Chat Noir is a main character in the show and all-"

"Well, you heard it wrong," Alix snorted, leaning back in her chair.

"Umm, what? No way, Chat Noir is NOT the main character," Alya sat up straighter, one eyebrow raised.

"Yeah dude, i gotta agree on this one, even the intro said "In the daytime, i'm Marinette" Not Adrien," Nino added.

Adrien's face fell. "How come I never get credit?"

Marinette frowned. "I find it so biased that there's a chorus called "It's Ladybug!" but no chorus called "It's Chat Noir!" and-"

"I KNOW RIGHT!" Abby yelled, making everyone jump. She gave Adrien a look of sympathy. "YOu barely get any credit, it's always Ladybug this Ladybug that-no offense, Marinette"-Marinette smiled and nodded- "But still, I also think the show should give Adrien more credit!"

"You know what, me too!" Nino changed his mind. Slowly everyone agreed.

"Adrien should have a chorus too, tell the directors that-"

Abby snorted. "Like Thomas Astruc will listen to me! He loves torturing people, mainly his fans."

Marientte rolled her eyes. "Looks like you learn from him!"

Abby looked shocked. "What! No way! Do you have any idea what he did to us in Chat Blanc-"

"WHAT?!" Marinette yelled loudly, jumping up, making everyone around her yelp. But she didn't even notice. "THERE'S AN EPISODE FOR THAT?"

"There's an episode for everything, Marinette," said Abby, giving her a small look of sympathy.

"What's Chat Bla-" started Adrien.

"It is NOTHING!" yelled Marientte, sitting back down, a bit of sadness clouding her eyes, making it clear she was lying. "And you are so NOT playing that episode."

Abby shrugged. "Sure," she lied. Like she would keep the promise..But she wasn't cruel enough to tease Marinette about it. Abby decided to let it go.

"Hey, so what about the theme song for Chat Noir, is there one or-" said Alya, continuing from where they had left off.

Plagg ignored everything else they had just said and smirked. "WELL! I'll just make one, then!"

"Oh right, the parody battle!" Adrien recounted.

"Yeah," said Plagg. "I think I'll make a Chat Noir chorus now. Ahem:

IT'S CHAT NOIR!

HIS PUNS ARE BIZARRE!

HE HAS A TESLA, WHEN THINGS GO WRONG-"

"What's a Tesla?" Adrien asked, interrupting his song.

"I spent my time researching about random stuff from this dimension while you people were watching this stupid show," Plagg informed them.

Alya scowled. "This show is NOT stupid," she said, earning many nods of agreement.

"This whole parody battle is stupid, can we just watch Horrificator now?" asked Adrien.

"HA! So you admit that I win!" Plagg cried in delight, wagging his tongue at Adrien.

Adrien shrugged. "Yeah, whatever-"

"HAHAHAHAHA I WIN! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!" yelled Plagg, flying around the room, gleeful about his triumph.

Adrien rolled his eyes, reaching for the remote control. He pressed play and Horrificator began playing.
