"Welcome back! We are finally at the end of Revelations and now lets witness the end to this chapter of Resident Evil Regeneration! Please enjoy!"
Chapter 25: Revelation's End
The sounds of a heart monitor beeped in a small room, a clean white room in an unknown location and laying in a bed was Angela Miller. Wearing nothing but a medical gown and with a thin blanket over the woman her eyes then slowly opened. Her heart raced as she took in her surroundings and thats when she saw she was alone in a plain white room. Ever so slowly she sat up and suddenly screamed in agony and she quickly looked down to her arms and saw needles sticking in her.
Without thinking she yanked the needle out of her arms with shaking hands and she gasped with every yank and they all fell to the ground with drops of her blood, all of a sudden she felt a slight pain in the side of her head. Still breathing heavy she reached up to the side of her head and to her horror there was two more needles dug into her head.
Still confused and slightly weakened Angela brought her shaking hand up to her head and gripped the two needles, gritting her teeth in pain she screamed as she yanked the needles right out of her head, she threw the needles away and held the side of her head as her body trembled from shock.
During her moment of confusion she looked around and saw a door leading out to where ever it would go, wanting to get out of this situation Angela pushed herself off the bed but quickly crashed to the floor as she hardly had any strength. Her breathing was quick and sharp trying to make sense of things as the only thing she remembered was being on a ship and dying, but now she was in a white room wearing nothing but a white gown and was just so confused.
All of a sudden the door leading out of the room opened and Angela looked up to see a doctor looking down at his notes until his eyes spotted her on the ground looking up at him.
"Ms Miller!" The doctor dropped his notes and rushed to her and in a panic Angela moved back until she was backed up into a wall and the doctor placed his hand on her and all she could do was scream, the doctor tried everything to try and calm her trying to explain everything but in Angela's blind panic she couldnt hear him.
Suddenly her screams brought more doctors into the room and they all went to her and she screamed louder as they tried to restrain her and all she continued to do was scream as she tried to break away.
Trying with all her strength to fight back she was suddenly pinned to the ground and thats when one of the doctors pulled out a syringe and jabbed it into her arm and injected a substance. Angela's body quickly reacted to the substance and soon her vision became blurred and her hearing was gone. Soon her body went limp and her world was covered in darkness.
-One Hour Later-
The sounds of her heartbeat echoed in Angela's ears, ever so slowly she woke up in a more comfortable bed and she noticed she was in a smaller room now. Slowly looking to her left she looked out to the window with the sun shining in. She was now in a more relaxed state which was possibly caused by the substance that was injected into her, but the biggest question was how the hell did she get here and how was she still alive.
After a few moments Angela heard a door open to her right hearing a door open and right there in beige combat pants and a blue long sleeve shirt with her hair in her ponytail was Jill Valentine, Angela felt more at ease seeing her.
Jill closed the door behind her and all she could do was smile seeing Angela awake. "Thank god your awake".
"Jill, what happened". Angela went to sit up but Jill rushed to her placed her hand on Angela's shoulder gently pushing her back down. "Take it easy, your still drugged and need to rest"
"How did I get here? Is everyone alright" Angela asked as Jill sat on the side of the bed looking at her.
"Well, Parker told me that Raymond found you down and out in that reception hall on the ship. You were in a very bad state...we almost lost you" Jill explained.
Angela's eyes widened as she went to sit up but Jill made her lay back down again. "The infection!..".
"Its ok Angela, its gone. There's no traces of it in your system, your cured. Raymond injected you with a substance when he found you, it suppressed the infection for a few more hours. He then placed a tracker on you when he placed you on a piece of debris, we found you drifting in the ocean not long after we found Parker".
Angela's heart just dropped, she was free of the infection and she just wanted to cry right now but she was still in shock. "Hows Parker? He was shot".
Jill just smiled. "He's fine, he will be in a crutch for a while but he's alive and well".
"Jill, what happened. Did you get the bastards responsible?" Angela asked and Jill nodded. "We did Angie, but its complicated".
Angela frowned "What do you mean?"
"Turns out O'Brian orchestrated all this to catch the real man responsible for all this. The Director of the FBC, Morgan Lansdale. He was the main man of the attack and used Valtro as a tool to increase his power". Jill explained on.
"He allowed Valtro to use the ships until he had what he needed, then he betrayed them and their leader Jack Norman. O'Brian knew the whole story" Jill stated.
"And yet he sent us in there like that? Angela was not happy but Jill placed her hand on her shoulder. "I was angry too Angie, but if he didnt do it we would have never found the man responsible for all this".
Sighing as she just looked up to the cieling she slowly shook her head in disbelief. "Unbelievable".
"Dont be mad at him, he did what he had to. Otherwise this could have happened somewhere else and would possibly be much worse" Jill added and thats when Angela looked to her again.
"So what happens now?" Angela asked.
"Well Morgan has been arrested and sadly O'Brian forced himself to step down to save the BSAA. He will be leaving in a few days, but now the BSAA is gonna be under the control of the UN" Jill explained.
All of a sudden Angela remembered something. "Jessica...Jessica got away".
"Dont worry, she wont have many places to hid. Sooner or later we will find her and deal with her, right now just focus on the fact we stopped this virus from infecting the world." Jill calmed her down and after a few moments Angela slowly sat up and Jill just supported her as she finally managed to sit up.
"What about me? Am I still in a job?" Angela asked and Jill just smiled. "Absolutely, infact the BSAA were impressed with how you handles yourself. They think you are more than a rookie".
"Your no longer a rookie anymore Angie, they've decided to make you a Lieutenant for your efforts" Jill stated proudly but Angela was confused.
"I've only had one mission with you guys, how did I jump ranks like that?" Angela asked a little on edge.
Jill just chuckled. "They took into account with how you dealed with the G-Virus along with Leon and the fact you continued to fight on despite the infection in you, yet you continued to fight on. Fought on against the infected and even on your own against Rachel, action speaks louder than words Angie. Thats why they made the decision".
Angela allowed this to settle in her mind, to think she was just given a rank for just one mission kind of shocked her and yes for her first mission she went through a lot but she was still hesitant about having the rank, she felt like she didnt deserve it.
"So whats next? Hunt down Jessica?" Angela asked and Jill shook her head. "No Angie, we have been ordered to take a week off after that ordeal. Me, you and Parker have been given special treatment after all that. I did argue about it but its final".
Jill just smiled. "Gives us time to know each other off the field anyway, I know a local club nearby and I'm sure Parker would love to join us. You up for it?".
Angela thought for a moment and deep down she just wanted to hunt down Jessica after she fooled everyone, but its not like she had a say in the matter because if Jill couldnt get through to them then what chances would Angela have.
Shrugging her shoulders she looked up to Jill. "Well a few drinks wouldn't hurt, why not".
Jill chuckled. "At a girl, just rest up ok. If you think you can walk today there are fresh clothes in the draw nearby.".
She then placed her hand on Angela's shoulder. "You did great Angie, we're lucky to have you".
Angela smiled back. "Thank you Jill, that means alot".
Squeezed her shoulder in response Jill then got off the bed and looked back down at her. "Rest up and I'll catch you later".
With that Jill turned and walked to the door and as soon as she placed her hand on the door handle Angela then spoke.
"What about Chris?" Angela asked and Jill froze then looked back at Angela a little confused.
"Did you tell him how you feel about him, we had a deal remember" Angela joked and Jill's cheeks went a little red. "I..there wasnt time, with the sinking ships and all".
"Jill..." Angela smirked and Jill just sighed. "I will tell him Angie, just harder then I thought. Just give me a little more time".
Angela just let out a little chuckle. "You better keep that promise, dont want Chris to get away right?".
"Oh shut up" Jill just chuckled along and then opened the door. "I'll see you soon Angie, just rest up".
Angela nodded in agreement and with that Jill left the room closing the door behind her, as soon as that door closed Angela slowly pulled the blanket off her and sat up feeling a little bit stronger then before. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed she gently leaned forward just collecting her thoughts, the shock of knowing this who operation was a set up from the beginning really hit her hard. All she went through was just to reveal the real mastermind behind everything she witnessed.
Despite her annoyance she was happy that everyone was alive, Jill and Parker was alive and well and she really connected with them and to think they could have died in the mission just haunted her. But then again they delt with these problems countless times so this mission was properly nothing for them.
After a few moments of collecting herself Angela then slowly got off the bed with her feet hitting the cold floor, she had regained her balance and she just felt normal again. Continuing to take a few deep breaths she slowly looked to the nearby sink and saw a mirror above it.
Slowly moving forward from the bed she moved to the sink and leaned on it while looking into the mirror, her hair was down and resting on her shoulders and she looked deep into her own eyes and saw she was perfectly fine. Her skin was back to its original color and she looked really healthy, even though the fear of the infection consumed her back on the ship she had to thank Raymond for saving her.
Sighing in relief she turned to the nearby draw Jill mentioned and went to it, she needed to be in proper clothes and not in a medical gown.
Minutes had past and Angela finally clipped her belt around her waist and she now was wearing the gear she wore on her first day at the BSAA. The same green and black GPx pants which were tight around her legs and wore an air soft combat long sleeve shirt with midnight digital camouflage, soon she finally put her hair up in a tight bun and looked down at herself once more and she was happy with her look.
Looking back to the mirror and at her reflection she knew this is where she was meant to be, a BSAA agent to rid the world of the horrors she herself witnessed and to ensure it doesnt happen to anyone else. For the first time since her brother's death she now felt alive and had a reason to live. A life she would continue to live and fight for.
Soon she moved from the desk and made her way to the door and headed into the halls of the BSAA, ready to do her part but before any of that she needed to find her partner.
Walking through the white hall ways she came past a few fellow agents and secretaries and most of them looked at her, at first she felt uneasy but she saw alot of them smile and nod with even some of them saluting her.
Her efforts on he first mission became public and it impressed every single agent in the building, to think a rookie on her first mission faced overwhelming odds and even continue to fight with an infection eating away at her was something to respect and admire. She gave a slow nod in appreciation as she made her way through the halls passing a few more agents and soon she came to her destination making her way into the next area.
Sitting at his desk in the near empty room was Parker, with a crutch leaning against his desk he was reading the instruction guide to the Genesis and soon he heard a nearby door open, he then turned his head to see Angela come through in the the area.
Dropping the book he grabbed his crutch and slowly stood up happy to see his fellow partner. "Angela!" He called out to the far side of the room and Angela quickly spotted him and she couldnt help but smile as she then walked fast towards him with him limping to her.
The two finally met half way and Angela quickly embraced him and he returned it in full with one arm and the two were happy to see each other.
"I'm so glad your ok" Angela spoke happily and Parker squeezed her tighter. "Same to you Partner, I thought we were gonna lose you".
The two soon let go of each other and pulled back with Angela looking down at his crutch and Parker chuckled. "Dont worry, just got to use this for a few weeks and I can walk normally again".
Angela smiled looking at him. "Thats good to hear". Then her mind clicked. "Have you seen Raymond? I heard he was the one who gave me extra time to be saved".
Parker sighed. "I wish I could tell you, when he left me on a raft he went back into the ship. Never heard from him again".
Angela frowned. "Did he make it?".
Parker shrugged his shoulders. "I honestly dont know, I hope so".
-Undisclosed Location-
Sitting alone at a table wearing a fancy purple coat and fashion hat was a young red head looking down at a book of poetry, it was a sunny day as she sat near a window in a restaurant and as she continued to read she heard footsteps approach and all she could do was smirk as the stranger placed something on her table.
"Almost too easy wasnt it?" Jessica spoke in confidence as she looked up from her book and up to the man. "The company let them take Morgan out with the trash".
"Tough world" The man responded and thats when Jessica looked at a vile of red substance.
"You were lucky to grab what you could, even with the virus destroyed on the ships at least we have Rachel's corpse to thank for a little hope" Jessica stated seeing a parasite swim through the red substance.
Saying nothing the man then turned and walked a few steps away before Jessica called out to him. "By the way...why save Parker? And more importantly why did you save that bitch Angela?, she is tougher than she looks".
She watched as Raymond smiled looking back at her while slowly removing his sunglasses. "I have my reasons".
"The BSAA isnt as useless as I thought, after all you did take a sample of Angela's blood right?". Jessica asked and Raymond chuckled.
"I did, originally I was going to take Rachel's but seeing how strong Angela was able to resist, I figured why not take the virus from the stronger host." Raymond stated looking down at the vile.
All Jessica could do was chuckle seeing Angela's infected blood in the vile. "Things could really start to heat up".
"Indeed, the fun is just getting started" Raymond put his glasses back on then walked away with his business done.
Taking one more look at the vile Jessica then returned to her book, the sound of a train came past and as the sun continued to shine the tainted blood of Angela became the feeding ground for the parasite that swam in it. Jessica could only smile knowing not everything was lost and now they had something more powerful then before.
-Few days later-
In the heart of the BSAA it was now time for former Director Clive O'Brian to step down from his position, it was a sad day for many agents as he was considered the most respected man they ever come to know and to have him leave was hard for many.
With a box in one hand he slowly walked down a white hallway and standing on all sides of the hall was many agents who saluted him as he past, saying nothing all he did was wave in appreciation as he continued to walk.
Even though he was willing to take responsibility he had no regrets as it resulted in the arrest of the true master mind of the incident, he could only hope the agents he sent out would one day forgive him for keeping them in the dark.
Clive O'Brian continued to make his way down the hall way and thats when he saw the new agent he offered a new life to, standing right there at the end of the hallway was now Lieutenant Angela Miller.
His heart raced as he slowly approached her and she stood in his path just looking at him and soon he came to arms length and slowly came to a stop, the two just looked at each other and O'Brian could see her eyes were full of questions but to his surprise he saw no anger but eyes of respect.
Angela Miller then slowly raised her hand and saluted him and her eyes never left his, O'Brian gave a slow nod and then went to move around her but she side stepped blocking his path still saluting him and he looked at her a little confused.
Few intense seconds had past and thats when Angela Miller slowly lowered her hand and slowly reached out to him offering a handshake, no words were spoken and none were needed.
Angela was a little upset about being kept in the dark but at the same time she couldnt be mad at him as it was him that gave her a new life, one worth fighting for and all she could to was offer her hand to say thank you for all he gave her.
O'Brian looked down at her hand then back at her, taking a slow deep breath he reached out and squeezed her hand and the two slowly shook hands with Angela slowly nodding her head at him, she had so much respect for him and if this was the last time she was going to see him again it would be a respectful goodbye.
Giving a nod to say good luck, O'Brian let go of her hand and Angela respectfully stepped to the side and he slowly walked past her with his box in hand and she watched him continue on until he vanished around the corner.
Angela took a slow deep breath knowing a door in O'Brian's life had closed and in turn a new door opened for her as she now had a new life in the BSAA, she would do her part to repair her life and make it better with the new people around her.
Tomorrow will be a new day and a new reason to live, she never felt stronger than ever.
"Revelations has ended, Angela has a new live but the threat of the virus is still out there thanks to Raymond taking a sample of her blood which is now in the hands of Jessica. O'Brian is gone and Angela is ready to do her part and her story is far from over...it has only just begun..."
"THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT!
