After last nights events, Lara stormed into her apartment and trashed the place. She grabbed photo frames, ashtrays and vases and her living room was trashed by the time she was finished. She remembered curling herself up on to her sofa and crying herself to sleep amongst the wreckage.
It was about 3am and Lara woke feeling emotionally drained but she knew she had to be looking good for the meeting today as Devin said so she decided to get ready early. She didnt have an exact meeting time so she assumed she would meet them at 9am. She walked down the stairs slowly in her dirty clothing and ripped them off her skin. She walked into her bathroom feeling so tired and opened the shower door and got in.
The scolding water ran down her skin rapidly but the temperature didnt bother her. She grabbed the shampoo and conditioner and took the most largest dollop and ran it through her hair. After rinsing, she washed herself up and stepped out the shower in a towel. She walked through and dried her hair so slowly that it was 4:30am by the time she was done.
She applied her makeup in an attempt to disguise her pain. Foundation, Eyebrow tint, Lipstick and a smidge of Mascara and she was done.
It was about 6am and she decided not to get change yet as she didnt know what the weather was like. She looked at the mess her apartment had became and began to clean it up.
8am and she was done. 2 hours it took and now she sat at the kitchen table contemplating what to do with the 5 bags of cocaine she hadnt used. She got her whisky bottle and poured herself an early drink and swirled it around in the glass cup. Then her phone rang.
"Hello." She said trying to sound happy
"Papa is in a coma and Mama has left all because of you!" A familar voice screamed. It was Brittanie.
"Woah woah woah. Mama is gone?"
"Is that all you are bothered about you bitch! Papa said you were worthless!" Brittanie screamed so loud that it sounded like Lara had her on Speaker.
"Brittanie! He fucking abused me and now your telling me that its my fault!" She couldnt be bothered with these accustations right now.
"You asked for it" Brittanie muttered.
"Thats it! Dont come ringing me when you havent talked to me in 5 fucking years! You and Papa you are both dead to me, you hear that?" Lara screamed. She never liked swearing that much but when she was in bad moods and confronted with even worser situation, she had no utter control. She thought her bad response would have a worse reply but the phone call was ended and when Lara tried redialling the number, her sister had blocked her. She gazed at the bags of drugs once more and shoved them back into the cupboard. The clock now read 8:15am.
She went downstairs and it looked like it was sweltering with heat so she threw on a white lace bandeau top with a pair of bleached blue shorts. She finished it with some trainers and a golden chain. She looked in the mirror for about ten minutes before stepping back into the living room, which had been restored to its original look minus a few vases and photoframes which had been smashed, and grabbed the keys and phone and ran out her apartment whilst lighting a cigarette.
She got out the apartement block and was about to get into her car when a familiar car pulled alongside her.
It was Michael.
"Lara where are you going?" He shouted whilst the window rolled down.
"Going to meet Devin Westman or something like that..." She trailed off.
"Get in, im going there too." Lara quickly locked her car and got in the passenger side of Michael`s car and he sped off.
"So what did you do after being in that stuffy van for an hour?" Michael said jokingly, sadly Lara didnt find it funny.
"Went to see that billionaire fuck and then went home." She said finishing her sentence on a angry note.
"Jeez...What happened?" Michael had caught on to her attitude and now knew something was up.
"Nothing."
"Tell me or ill ask that fuck Haines myself!" Michael was shouting whilst hitting his steering wheel. Lara didnt want to open up about it and hesitantly shook her head until Michael shot her a dirty look which she didnt really appreciate.
"Fine, Fine. Steve drove me home and when he did i couldnt get out the car, he talked absoulte shit to me and grabbed my hair and and and..." Lara couldnt finish or she would find herself crying again.
"Hey look its okay..." Michael said, one hand on her hand and another on the steering wheel.
"Its not though Michael. My sister called and i said some fucked up shit and im pushing everyone away from me." Lara finally admitted. She felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. They finally stopped outside a construction yard where Devin and some girl was standing along with Trevor and Franklin.
They walked into the yard and Trevor insulted Michael as soon as they got there. She stood there next to Michael and hid behind him until Devin notioned her to go stand next to him which she did against her own will. She didnt focus on all the blabbering this man was doing and only focusing on the parts they played in this job. She heard Michael and Trevor`s part which was to play dress up as cops and apprehend the suspects and steal the cars and Franklin`s job was more or less just to goad them. He shooed the three away and kept Lara there.
She looked up and the girl standing on the other side of him shot her a dirty look which she immediately returned.
"Now Lara, this is Molly Schultz my lawyer and nothing more, you are probably wondering why you arent here with them and instead here with us right?" Devin asked.
"Yeah kind of." She said now looking eye to eye with him.
"Well good, that i will explain when we get to the place we need to be but now hop in my car with me. This way." He said taking hold of her hand and guiding her towards the car. The lawyer was not happy about this and followed them like a lost puppy dog.
"Mr Weston?" She asked and Devin turned his head.
"What!" He shouted stopping and letting go of Lara`s hand.
"Should i get in the adler with you and Lara?" She said through gritted teeth.
"No you should get in the other car with the goons." He said walking towards his own car. This woman was seriously clingy, and clingy was something men definetely didnt like.
