They headed back to Echo Ridge, Geo's face a beet red as Alex made another joke at Geo's 'love life' as the pilot just laid back before he spoke. "Take it easy, we need our heads on us if we are going to talking to Luna."
"You mean for ME to talk to Luna while you are joking about my life, I don't even like girls like that!" Alex just chuckled before he opened his eye with a smile, the addition of a fedora a asset that Geo missed, but it looked very nice and works with the blue colors and its black texture.
"I know... you don't need to be so heated, I was just poking fun into you, you serious astronaut." Geo breathed as they arrived and started to wander about to search for Luna before finding her by the Battle Card Shop and Geo walked over before he spoke.
"Um..." The death glare she gave unnerved him as he continued, both Bud and Zack being shunned as well to the duo's slight surprise. "Luna... Um..." She raised her hand and waved as she spoke.
"Bud, Zack, can you please give us some space?" Both relaxed, clearly it was getting to them.
"...OK." Bud answered with Zack in following.
"Sure." He turned to Bud and asked with happier tones. "Bud, want to hang out at my place?"
"Oh, sure." The duo headed off as Alex remained with crossed arms, Luna glancing at him as he nodded and stepped back some to give them some space on his part as Geo started again, vaguely noticing the red streaks down her face.
"Luna... I... I'm sorry. A lot of things happened and I thought about it again..." He stammered as he asked. "Um... So if it's OK with you... can we be Brothers again?" She growled, it cackling before she cleared it and spoke again with a tone of authority laced in.
"You have a lot of nerve!" Geo flinched as she lectured him. "Do you have any idea what you did!? It's not something I can forgive, just like that..." No more was said as the ground shook and Geo exclaimed as Luna screamed, losing her balance.
"An earthquake!? It can't be!" The shaking continued before the Wave World formed once more and Luna glanced about in confusion and surprise, suddenly that powder or gas that Alex accidentally used wasn't just a fragment of her own mind as she exclaimed.
"Wh-What is all this!?"
"Looks like we've got another wave ball!"
"Another one!?" Alex stated as he raised a brow before he sighed. "Let me guess, Geo... AWAKEN?" He nodded before shouts for help came.
"Nooooo!"
"Stooop!" Luna whipped about at the sounds as she exclaimed.
"Bud!? Zack!?" With that, she dashed the way with Alex and Geo following her over to Zack's house when she shouted again. "Bud! Zack!" Standing on the top of the house, was Bud and Zack, but they were being held captive by another trio of Jammers as the lead chuckled and remarked.
"Oh, goody! More humans!"
Bud and Zack struggled against the impossible grip. "Let us go! Get your hands off of me!"
"Help! Please!"
"We've gotta do something..." The Jammer chuckled again to another speech.
"Yummy snacks for Andromeda! That girl looks especially tasty!" He warped down and grabbed Luna, warping back onto the roof as Geo called out.
"Luna!"
"Geo!"
"Now, now. Wait your turn. We'll turn you two into waves after these three."
"I'm not waiting for you! I won't run away anymore! I'm gonna fight to protect those I care about! I'm gonna protect everyone I can!"
"Don't be a dork! You can't fight! Run!"
"Find an adult and get help!"
"You're a good talker, but just how are you gonna protect them?" The Jammer questioned before Geo and Alex fist bumped with a smile to the EM being's surprise before they shouted.
"EM Wave Change! Geo Stelar/Alexander Stratos, On The Air!" Both went through the motions before in a flash, they appeared as their EM forms as the Jammer stammered in shock.
"Y-You! You're the ones that defeated the FM warriors!" The shock spread among the group as Bud exclaimed in pure stun.
"Mega Man and Lieutenant!? You... No way!"
"Geo is Mega Man and Alex is Lieutenant!?"
"Tsk! This isn't good." The Jammer spoke before all three disappeared, Bud and Zack stumbling as the trio reappeared on Bud's house before the lead created an EM ball to hurl. "Here's a lovely parting gift!" He threw it just as Lieutenant and Mega Man dashed onto the roof and blasted the orb, destroying it as Lieutenant waved a finger.
"Got any more you want to say, punks?"
"Curses!" They warped away as Geo called out.
"Wait, you!" He started to give chase with Alex as the trio still stood there and mused in their shock.
"The guys we were always picking on..." Bud spoke with wide eyes as Zack finished the line with his glasses slipping off.
"...Are Mega Man and Lieutenant..."
"Mega Man and Lieutenant..." Luna mused as well. Meanwhile, Geo and Alex pursued them to Luna's house as the Jammer cursed.
"Persistent little buggers, aren't they!? Let's move!" They disappeared again as Geo scowled.
"Where'd they go!?"
"Over here!" They heard a voice call out and Alex smiled as he spoke.
"Be right with you!" They bolted onto Alex's house and Geo dashed over to the Big Wave Shop as he exclaimed.
"You're not getting away that easily!"
"Now!" Geo grimaced as it was a trap as the last two Jammers appeared to his sides. "Way to let down your guard, boy!" Before they could, two shots rang out and blasted the ambush away as Alex was still on his home and smiled as a secondary cannon, possibly from the Gigabase virus, faded out the left shoulder as he called out.
"No, thank you for lowering yours!" No witty comeback came as Geo wrecked the last guy as all of them exploded at the same time, leaving Geo alone on the roof as he breathed relief before Alex joined him, clapping hands in a high five as Mega spoke.
"Hey, Alex, mind turning those guns to the ball now?"
"No problem, just get the trio down before I do." Geo and Mega nodded as Alex turned to the ball and planted himself down as the same barrel formed on his shoulder. Geo ported over to the friends as Luna jumped to his sudden appearance and his strength as he lifted all of them up.
"Hang on tight, we are getting you down." Luna's heart pounded as Geo got them down before Alex smiled with a full charge.
"Buster Cannons, fire!" Two more shots rang out and destroyed the wave ball as he gave a thumbs up. "Nice." He jumped down as the Wave World returned and they did too as Geo stood before the trio and Alex joining him as he spoke.
"Is everyone okay?"
"...Yeah." Then Bud went into madness as he started to gesture at Geo and Alex. "But wow... I never thought that you both were Mega Man and Lieutenant... Why didn't you tell us!?" Geo hung his head as he apologized.
"I-I-I'm sorry!"
"You were the ones that saved me when I went nuts, and it was you again at AWAKEN..." He counted on his fingers before continuing. "And that time at school too..." He suddenly dropped in a bow as he apologized. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry for treating you guys like dirt!" Zack did the same as Luna just shook her head to the behavior, a small smile crossing her cheeks.
"Mega Man and Lieutenant have always been our idols. To think that they were you guys, Geo and Alex... people we see every day, I... I feel honored..." He chuckled as both of them stood back up and Luna strode over to Geo, her serious face put back on as Geo, without knowing it, gulped before she spoke.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" She lashed out her Transer as she continued. "Hold out your Transer already!" Geo sighed as he extended his own and obtained her Brotherband again, also regaining the ability of Float which negates any floor effects like ice, grass, and poison, though she was rather heated about it before Geo spoke.
"Luna..." She turned around before she spoke.
"Consider it a thank you for saving us. Next time, I won't be so forgiving!"
"Hard to tell if your face is beet red or not, are you SURE that you are doing it professionally and not hoarding any feelings for our lovable astronaut?" Alex smiled and she flinched, Bud and Zack hiding their points of chuckling as Geo just covered his face in embarrassment before Luna squeaked.
"Bud! Zack! Let's go!"
Both straightened out as Bud started. "OK."
"Yes, madam!" She strode with a brisk pace before the duo stopped and Bud walked over to Geo and Alex when they turned around.
"Um... Guys..." He then thrust out his Transer as he exclaimed. "Please be my Brothers!"
"HUH!?" Geo yelped as Bud continued on, Alex still chuckling a bit.
"I know it might seem strange because I've done nothing but pick on you two until now, but I've always really looked up to Mega Man and Lieutenant. I really want to be like you guys! I'm really sorry for everything! So please be Brothers with me!" He looked back up as he pleaded. "...Please?" Alex laughed before he slapped a hand on Bud's shoulder, the band forming between them as he spoke.
"A big guy like you needs all the friends he can get and you have my approval to be my Brother!" Bud shook in place as he looked ready to explode before Geo smiled and nodded, extending out his own Transer.
"I'd be happy to be Brothers with you, Bud."
"Really? I'm gonna learn how to be a good guy from you!" With that, the Brother band was formed with Bud as his Link ability is Super Armor, meaning any attack dealt wouldn't cause either of them to flinch as Zack stammered with his own.
"Um... I want to be Brothers with you guys too, but I don't think I can personally handle it now. But one day..." Geo and Alex nodded before Luna's emotional cracked voice called out to them, she attempting to clear it in vain.
"What are you two doing back there!?"
Both looked at each other before Bud bid farewell with Zack. "Well, see ya! Don't worry, your secrets' are safe with me! That's a promise from one man to another!"
"Goodbye!" Both headed off as Geo questioned Bud's wording.
"A promise from one man to another...?"
"Hey, you guys don't have time to lollygag." Mega started as both looked at him through the Visualizers. "We still have a few FM-ians left to mop up."
Geo questioned Mega about it. "But how are we supposed to find them?"
"I bet they're on your dad's space station." The thought of the FM-ian crowd using his dad's station as their base of attack didn't sit right with Geo as Mega continued. "If only we could find some way to get there..."
"Get there? But they're in outer space. How are we supposed to even get into space?" Mega chuckled as he thought of an idea.
"I bet that Boreal guy would know how." Both nodded as they headed for AWAKEN again and headed on through the facility to Aaron Boreal as he asked them.
"What's up, Geo and Alex?"
"Um, is there anyway we can transmit something from here up to the space station?" Boreal hummed before he answered.
"Honestly, I think it would be very hard... It could be anywhere in space. Looking for it is like trying to catch that one special fish in the endless sea of the void."
"Oh..." Geo's shoulders slumped as Alex rested a hand on one and that prompted Aaron to think further.
"But we should at least give it a try..." He stopped on a thought and Geo caught it as he asked.
"What is it?"
"I think there might be a way."
"Really!?"
"I think you know, but after that incident, a section of Kelvin's station fell to Earth." Geo breathed as Alex listened before Aaron continued. "If we could fix the transmitter in that section, we might be able to contact the space station."
Geo seemed to surge forward as he asked. "Where is that section right now!?" But Boreal shook his head as he spoke.
"I'm sorry, but... the person who would know no longer works at NAZA."
"What...?" Geo spoke in confusion as Alex listened attentively to figure it out.
"There was only one person who knew... He was our boss at the time, and was the person ultimately responsible for creating a Brotherband between Earth and Planet FM." He hummed as he explained it a bit more. "After the incident, he was in charge of the search, but one day, he suddenly left NAZA, taking everything he knew about it with him."
Alex spoke as he made a basic reason. "Maybe it was guilt, that he had failed everyone there and that he couldn't bare to say or show anything." Boreal hummed as he continued to explain.
"No one has heard from him again. But I heard a rumor that he has been spotted in the vicinity." He shook his head as he motioned for them to relax. "But you two don't need to go through so much trouble. I'm sure NAZA knows something too. They must have caught the signal from the space station as well, and they have some very Powerful EM weapons..." He grimaced as he rested a finger to his lips in concern. "Oops, don't tell anyone I told you that." EM weapons would just further cause distrust in the FM-ians and give them more reason to attack, Geo saw what Bob Copper's weapon could do and it blew out his Transer, not to mention that Andromeda would just consume them all as Geo instead asked once more.
"Mr. Boreal, please tell me about your old boss!"
"What are you two going to do?" Geo stammered with an answer as he confirmed it himself and to Alexander just for good measure.
"I... I want to do something to help..." Boreal laughed as he nodded.
"OK." He pondered it once more as he answered. "I haven't seen him in a while, but he was a refined old man."
"An old man, huh?" Geo looked to Alex and he nodded, there were a few old men around Echo Ridge, but there was one that stuck out as Alex raised a finger and Geo nodded as he turned back. "Thanks, Mr. Boreal!" But Aaron was not done as he halted the both of them by gripping Geo's shoulder and speaking.
"Geo, I told you a lot about the incident because of what's happening, but let's not worry your mom too much, OK?" Geo could see the issue, what happened if they just went off to stop this on their own, she would be heartbroken if he just disappeared. It didn't stop him as he answered.
"...I understand." With that, they headed out and started to search for the old boss before they paused with one man musing to himself about something of a day and they headed over in the Wave Road to find his name, Iver Gatte, desperate for some tropical juice and they got some from Ken with a small payment of Zenny, the dude being rather chill with the pair of youths behind his counter without him noticing as they returned to Iver and he spoke up to the gift.
"Th-That's... That's Tropical Tea, isn't it!? Oh, please let me have it! It's my favorite!"
"Um, well, can you answer my question first?"
"If it's just a question, then sure!"
"Well, you see..." With that, Geo explained it out to the old man and the man's shoulder slowly slumped down as he took it all in and breathed, the tea was going to be quite the relief for him.
"So you are Kelvin's son... and the boy behind you is Miguel's son..." Both nodded as he rested both hands on the cane as he answered. "...Yes, I was the one in charge of that tragic space station mission..." He shook his head as he continued. "I have wronged them in the worst way possible... And no matter how much I want to apologize, I don't expect I'll ever be forgiven."
"But you can make up for what you did, sir." Geo said as he handed the Tea to Alex and continued. "There was a piece of the station that fell back to Earth after the incident, right?" He stammered at the meaning as he questioned it.
"A-Are you thinking of using it to communicate with the station's main section?"
"...Yes." Geo answered as he went further. "If I don't, the whole world will be in danger!"
"That look in your eye..." Iver spoke as he hummed. "You remind me so much of your father... and the cocky grin of your friend." He nodded as he spoke on. "Alright. I'll tell you where I hid that piece of the space station."
"Really!?"
"Yeah..."
"So where is it?"
"Where is it...?" He hummed once again as he answered some. "Where did I hide it...?" Before Geo could shout in surprise, Alexander covered his mouth and let Iver speak. "Well, see... In order to stop myself from ever telling someone where I'd hidden it by accident, I used an ancient secret technique to wipe that knowledge from my mind." He groaned as he continued. "But ever since I did that, my memory's just gotten worse and worse." He chuckled a bit which actually explains how he was looking for his grandson's present money and forgot that he left it by the telescope in Vista Point.
"Then you have no clue as to where it is now...?" Alex asked.
"Oh, nothing of the sort, sonnies. I figured that someone would ask me someday, so I hid the location in a piece of data somewhere." He hummed as he continued. "I'm pretty sure it's in the research facility of one of my past subordinates. I hid it with a program in something that has to do with the space station."
"Subordinate...?" Geo hummed without the hand in front of him as he asked. "Are you talking about Mr. Boreal?"
"Oh! Yes, that's the fellow!" It meant that they had to go searching for the data in some of the Comp Spaces, but Geo still asked as he handed the tea over why to which Iver apologized for everything as he hid it to both hide Earth and as a mistake of cutting off a connection to the crew, but Geo understood as the pair headed for AWAKEN, finding the Comp Space within one of the exhibits and getting the data with some challenge, learning that it was buried under rubble in Dream Island, but it was a good-nature detour as Geo learned that there was a few other FM-ians roaming about and Alex showed them as Cancer, taking the form of Cancer Bubble with a third-grader who doesn't like to be talked down to, Wolf, who assumes the form of Wolf Woods with Damian Wolfe, a gardener at Time Square, and the last was Crown, said to be bonded with an actual ghost as Crown Thunder so Geo managed to best both Wolf and Cancer and obtained their battle cards like how the echoes of the previous FM-ians seem to spawn around the same places that they emerged in or around.
But the mission was set as they headed off to Dream Island and found the spot that hid the way, using a backhoe to dig it up, revealing a door and moved the backhoe back to get some more room before they entered, a massive chamber underneath as they soon approached the terminal that served as the section as Geo laid his hands on it. "So... This is the piece of my dad's station..."
"You think it'll work?" Mega asked as Alex had his opinion.
"The damages are not that extreme so I believe that the main system is still functioning, but I may need some time and material to get it working again." Another voice spoke up as a familiar one.
"...Geo? ...Alex? I'm really surprised to find you kids here." Geo whipped about as he called out.
"Who's there!?" He paused as Alex looked back, stepping away from the console as he stammered to the figure. "M-Mr. Boreal?" Geo rushed down with Alex walking behind as he asked. "Why are you here?"
"I got a call from Iver after you left. He said you two had asked him for his help."
"Mr. Gatte..." Geo mused as Boreal looked back to the section.
"I never knew it was hidden in a place like this." He smiled as he offered his aid. "Well, let's fix this up, shall we? And then we've gotta contact NAZA..." This put a damper to their plans as Geo exclaimed.
"Wait! Please! Don't tell NAZA, Mr. Boreal!" A hand rested on Geo's shoulder as Aaron spoke.
"Geo, I know you feel like you've gotta do something, but let's be realistic." They listened as he explained it. "How do you plan to fight against Planet FM? We don't have any way to fight them." That worked for normal people as they would be clueless as to the mission, but Geo still stammered as he spoke.
"I... Well..." Other, the world had other plans as another quake shook the hidden place as Geo exclaimed. "Another earthquake!?"
"That's..." The duo turned to a massive EM ball hovering over the console as Geo shouted again.
"It was able to make it down here!?" Suddenly, the threat was made worse as Gemini formed and hovered down to the metal and paused as Geo, Alex, and Boreal rushed to the final ramp. "Gemini!"
"Get back, Geo!"
"Sorry, but I'm not going to let you interfere." Gemini charged and all of them were struck with electricity as Aaron collapsed and Geo and Alex were brought down to their knees as they grimaced, Alex didn't have enough strength to snap and, even if he could, he couldn't control the summoned thing with ease as Geo spared a glance to him and back to the terminal as Gemini reappeared. "What's wrong? Why not change into wave form? The wave ball has changed this area into a wave space, so you should be able to, right?"
"A bag of laughs right there, Gemini." Alex gasped as the FM-ian chuckled as well.
"But if you want to offer me a free shot, I might just hit you with another electric shock." Geo groaned as Aaron warned them to run, but both of them were thinking of changing, but it would leave either of them vulnerable to attack, striking them out of the change before they could finish as Gemini grinned with evil delight. "Now to finish you off. We wouldn't want something to interrupt us again because I was having too much fun." He charged again, but this time, he was halted with an exclaim. "What!?" Pat was taking the blow, effectively halting it as he was adapted to Gemini and could hold him for some time as he looked like to be gripping the aura of the FM-ian himself as Geo called out.
"P-Pat!" The shock surged once more before Pat spoke.
"Don't... worry about... me..." He hissed before continuing. "Geo... Transform... Now..."
"Gotcha!" Geo nodded to Alex as both took on EM Wave form and not a moment too soon as Pat collapsed. "Gemini! We'll be your opponent!"
"Geo... You guys... What...?" Aaron stammered as Gemini scoffed.
"Never fails. Someone always gets in the way." He hovered back, allowing Pat to drop as Gemini continued. "Now that you two are changed to Mega Man and Lieutenant, I'm through playing around." He shouted into a flash of light and before stood the duo of Gemini Black and White which took Geo by surprise as he exclaimed.
"B-But how!?"
"The wave ball, Mega Man." Alex answered as he got into stance. "He can manifest in this world, but he could also draw upon the memories of his past forms to use them." He smiled as he continued. "But he should remember WHAT the weakness to Gemini Spark is." Both nodded as they activated Dragon's Star Force and battled the both of them, Black being more aggressive, but that didn't stop the tag-team from wrecking them completely as even the Gemini Thunder attack was disrupted before they came out victorious as Gemini, in both sides, spoke in confusion.
"No... How could I lose again!?" White screamed in plea.
"Andromeda...! Avenge us...!" The Wave ball came closer and all three were destroyed as they returned to the Real World and Aaron got up as Alex and Geo looked at where Gemini died.
"Geo... what just happened with you...?" The head of AWAKEN questioned, but that was far from Geo's mind as he whipped about and rushed over to Pat, both of them lifting him up some as he shouted.
"Pat!" The green-haired youth groaned as he spoke, looking at Geo.
"Geo... I don't think this makes up for what I did to you, but I..." He paused before continuing. "I still hope... I can be... your Brother..." He dropped with eyes closed as Geo shouted.
"Pat!" Aaron moved over and checked his pulse, breathing with a sigh of relief as he answered.
"He's alright. he just fainted. But we should take him to AWAKEN just to be safe." He looked to the both of them before he asked the question on his mind. "Are you OK?"
Both of them looked at each other and nodded as Geo answered. "I'm OK. But Pat..." He paused before continuing on. "We should hurry."
"Alright." At the head's request, they contacted Tom to pick up Pat and rush him to AWAKEN's medical center and they waited for a bit before Geo started it off, telling the story of what his life had turned into with Alex adding points and views to the tale before Boreal answered with a solid hum. "It is quite an unbelievable story, but you becoming friend with an FM-ian named Mega and changing into 'Mega Man'..." He spared a glance to Alex as his cover as Lieutenant was also explained before Aaron continued. "Well, it means that you have the power to fuse with an FM-ian..." He pointed a glance to the console as he continued with a rub of the jaw. "And if I can fix that transmitter and send you into space, then maybe you can stop the FM-ians' plan..." Geo was about to start before Alex rested a hand and asked a different question.
"But is it enough reason to send us up there, there was a 'but' in your sentence, Aaron, tell us." Aaron chuckled at the perceptive nature of Alex as he answered the question.
"Sorry, but I have to think about it..." Geo was quiet as he listened as Boreal explained. "Just because you two have the power to fight the FM-ians, that doesn't mean I can just send you off into outer space!" Geo continued as Aaron sighed with remorse, kneeling down and resting a hand on Geo's shoulder when Alex's own left it. "What if something happened to you? How would your mother feel if she lost you, the only link she has left to your father?" Both hands rested as he finished up. "How would I be able to face her then!? I'm the one who sent your father into space! ME!" Geo answered with a quote.
"'No matter how small of a chance, as long as there is hope, then we can't give up.'" Geo putted his own hands on Aaron's arms as he spoke. "My dad used to say that... I'm not who I was before. I'm not afraid of losing people anymore. And I fight so I can protect those I love." For a brief moment, Kelvin formed in front of Boreal as he asked for the same chance as Aaron mused.
"...Kelvin."
"Mr. Boreal..."
"Give me one day." He spoke as he removed his hands and stood up, uneasily from Gemini's attack. "I'm gonna get this up and running by tomorrow."
"Really!?"
"Yeah. But you have to promise me something." Geo tilted his head as he agreed, listening as Boreal spoke. "Come back alive! You can promise me that, right!?" He extended a hand and Geo shook it as he nodded with agreement.
"I will! Promise!"
"OK." Both released as Aaron pressed on. "You two go home and get a good night's sleep." They nodded before heading out, back to Echo Ridge, as Boreal mused his place and looked up in inquire. "I'm doing the right thing, aren't I, Kelvin?" With that, he started to work on the machine to bring it up to speed, all waited on hushed breath, it seemed as both humans rested for the coming day, the day when they confront the throne of FM and stopped this mad plan of destruction...
