Here's chapter 17. Short but sweet
At the top of Stark Tower Loki say how they had taken down the whale.
"Send the rest" he told to the Chitauri leaders.
Suddently the team of six saw two more giant whales and dozens of more chariots enter.
"Guys" Natasha warns
"Call it, Cap" Tony says at lost for what to do in this situation.
"Alright, listen up" he turns to look at them and is caught by Natasha's encouraging eyes. 'Damn I love her too fucking much' he thought to himself trying to come up with a plan to keep him and Nat together. " Okay, until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash"
Clint turned his head to Tony who he trusted dispite never meeting him before. "Wanna give me a lift" he asked.
"Right. Better clench up, Legolas" Tony clutched Clint tightly by his shoulder and flew off the ground.
As soon as they left Steve had to give Thor instructions, hopefully this would do the trick.
"Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up." He had to try and hide his smirk as Natasha subtlety wheezed out a small "Language" Thor flew off to the Empire State Building. He finally turned to Nat.
"You and me, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here. And Hulk" he paused as the giant turned toward him "Smash" he alliterated slowly. The Hulk smirked and ran off, crashing into buildings and cars. 'Fury's gonna LOVE dealing with that' Natasha chuckled to herself.
"Wow it took an alien invasion for us to get some privacy Rogers" she said as they stood back to back fighting off the army that was approaching quickly.
"I hate to say this but work now, flirt later. Love you too Romanoff" he threw his shield at two soldiers before retrieving it and deflecting a hit meant for Nat on his top left shoulder. It only left a graze but it was still enough for her to start kicking them away from the two as quickly as she was physically able.
"Seriously Rogers" she said as she put on some cloth to dry his blood. On the other end of comms they could hear yells asking if they were all right because their audio was off. "Love you more" she gave him a kiss on the forehead "Jarvis turn them back on" she heard yells coming through "sorry boys, explosion" she explained waaay to calmly in the middle of a fricken war zone.
"Let's get to work" Steve said as Nat helped pull him up. They once again stood back to back and become what Xander would've dubbed 'The Unstoppable Duo'.
Natasha charged at one of the soldiers and used her cuffs and a pole to electrocute five at the same time. She'd have to thank Bobbi for that technique later. Suddently she hears three very familiar voices coming through comms.
"Mom, Mom are you there, do you copy" said Henry.
"Henry, why are you on our comms someone could hear us" she says flinging Steve's shield at a soldier but it dodges. Thankfully Steve ends up finishing them off.
"Guys talk, it keeps rewriting itself, I can't keep the connection long" yells Ronnie. She was obviously hacking into something.
"We found a way to shut it down" Xander says stopping both of the adults in their tracks.
"How" the two asked at the same time.
"Ronnie hacked into one of SHIELD's satellites and got the data for the generator and then hacked Dr. Banner's lab to get info about the spear thing" Henry quickly said.
"Explain, because the only thing I understand about what you just said is that we are going to have a long talk about government property when you get back" Steve says while roundhouse kicking a group of soldiers that got on the wrong side of his shield.
"One of you has to get back up there. Selvig's unavaliable and in who knows what mental state" explains Xander.
The two stopped and listened to what their kids were saying "The scepter has the energy to penetrate it, some part of Selvig remembered to always build a safeguard but you have to get there ASAP"
Nat stepped back from Steve "You going up there you need a ride"
"I got a ride" she gestures to the chariots that flew above them and drops the Chitauri weapon she was carrying. "Could use a boost babe"
"You sure about this" Steve said getting his shield ready for her to jump on.
"Yeah love you guys" She says before they quickly replied "Love you guys too, stay safe" in their signature way before shutting off the line.
"We are seriously going to need to have that talk" He said.
She laughed a bit "I'll count on it"
She nods and jumps onto the car that had covered them for at least ten minutes. She then jumps off Steve's shield and twists mid-air catching onto the back of a chariot. Steve just stared in amazement, how did he deserve this girl. This fight could end soon if Nat is successful, which she will be, it would be over soon.
I am basing the backstories, birthdays/timelines/ages/powers, and any events that happened on the mcu and marvel comics. I came up with the OCs and are not based off real people. please give me any opinions/suggestions you have.
