Weiss is slammed to the ground by a whack of a metal cane. The Heiress rubs her forehead and catches her breath.
Torchwick stands over her. He laughs. "Guess money doesn't mean skill, huh?"
Weiss jumps to her feet and leaps at Torchwick, only to be knocked to the ground again. Torchwick lets out another laugh. "Y'know, Perry," he says to one of the White Fang grunts, a platypus Faunus, "I really did need this."
Perry gives Torchwick a thumbs-up as the criminal laughs once more. Torchwick returns to his more serious demeanor. "But, seriously...how'd ya find this place, ice queen?" He kneels down in front of Weiss, jamming the barrel of his cane-gun to her throat.
Weiss narrows her eyes at him. "I'm not telling you anything."
She casts a glyph under her feet and darts away.
Torchwick looks around and sees her bolting towards the sealed-off tunnels. He raises his cane, the top end facing Weiss. The top part of the cane-the one that's shaped like an upside down U-fires off towards Weiss with a string attached to it. The cane-turned-grappling-hook snags Weiss's collar, allowing Torchwick to pull Weiss back into his clutches. "I see you have some tricks up your sleeve," he says. "But let me make this clear. We're not done yet."
From ahead in the cavern, an explosion. Fire, golden energy, and a little bit of lightning make their presence known. "The heck?" says Torchwick, turning to Perry and the other grunts. "Perry, if you and the boys could take care of that? I'm kind of in the middle of something here."
Perry nods and begins to leave with his two companions to check out the explosion site. Before he can do that, however, another bang shakes the cavern, causing sediment to fall from the cavern ceiling.
"What is going on here?!" exclaims an exasperated Torchwick.
BGM: Skyloft - Hyrule Warriors
A third explosion rocks the cave. Weiss hears yelling, but above all other voices, there's one that she knows and loves to no end.
Up ahead, Weiss's teammates (plus Zwei) and Doctor Oobleck are fighting their way through the White Fang grunts as Aris Atreides and Pikachu lead the charge. Weiss sees her chance and takes it. She drives her right knee in between Torchwick's legs, hitting him in that area where the sun doesn't shine. She quickly sprints off towards her teammates, teacher, and boyfriend.
Torchwick recovers from the major hit to his genitals. "Somebody kill her!" he yells.
The criminal leads a group of White Fang grunts in sending out a hailstorm of bullets in Weiss's direction. The Heiress uses her agility to dodge and her glyphs to block the incoming storm of projectiles.
Torchwick growls as he almost gives in to the urge to break his cane over his knee. He turns to Perry. "Attach this car and spread the word," he commands. "We're starting this train."
"But we're not finished," Perry tries to say.
Torchwick whirls around and jams the barrel of his cane against Perry's throat. "Do it, or you're finished!"
Weiss continues running towards the others, only to be intercepted by a quartet of White Fang grunts. The grunts raise their rifles, ready to fire. Weiss skids to a stop.
From behind the White Fang grunts, something sails through the air in their direction. An ornate boomerang engulfed in a small tornado flies in and knocks the grunts over the head, all four of them going down in one fell swoop. A certain Electric type Pokemon exclaims, "Pika!" as several ripples of electricity collide with and electrocute the four grunts, incapacitating them.
End BGM
Standing behind the fallen grunts is Aris Atreides, who raises his hand to catch his boomerang. "Weiss!" he exclaims joyously.
Weiss runs into Aris's arms. He picks her up and starts spinning, laughing all the while. "I was worried sick!" he says.
After Aris sets her down, Ruby walks over and returns Myrtenaster to Weiss. "Are you okay?" asks the hooded Huntress.
"I'm fine," Weiss says. "But listen! Torchwick has all sorts of weaponry and robots down here."
"What?" says Blake.
"Androids, mechs," Weiss continues, "they're all loaded onto the train cars."
"That's ridiculous!" says Doctor Oobleck. "The tunnels are sealed. The tracks lead to a dead end."
An intercom emits a shrill ring as a White Fang grunt speaks into it. "Get to your places, we're busting this hot dog stand!"
The train's brakes hiss as it begins trundling down the tracks, towards the sealed tunnel ahead.
"Well it sounds like they're going somewhere!" Yang says.
"We need backup!" Ruby puts in. "Lemme call Jaune."
"Don't bother," Aris says. "I just tried calling Perci, but there's no signal down here."
"What do we do now?" Weiss asks.
"I believe there's only one option," Oobleck answers.
Aris nods in understanding. "Let's take this choo-choo train off the rails!"
BGM: Demon Train - The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
The bespectacled Doctor knocks out an unsuspecting White Fang grunt with his weapon, a thermos that could turn into a sort of steel club. The party climbs onto the roof of the rear train car. "Hurry, children!" Oobleck says. "We must get to the front of the train and stop it!"
"Uh, Professor?" Weiss says, opening a hatch in the roof of the train car.
"Doctor," Oobleck corrects.
Weiss points downwards at the opened space left behind by the hatch. "What's that?"
Aris looks. Sitting inside a small compartment in the roof of the train car is a sort of cylinder-shaped object with wiring connecting random doohickeys (Aris doesn't know what the object is).
"That, my girl," Oobleck answers, "appears to be a bomb."
Everyone jolts back a little.
Ruby points up ahead. "We've got company!"
A plethora of White Fang grunts are emerging from one of the ahead cars and climbing onto the roof of the train.
"Well," says Oobleck, "I didn't exactly expect them to go-"
Inside the roof compartment, the bomb starts beeping. Oobleck finishes, "-easy on us."
Aris jumps into action. "Time to go!"
He and the others jump to the next car forward. "I'll detach the caboose!" says Blake.
The cat Faunus jumps down in between the two train cars and readies Gambol Shroud to sever the coupling.
Aris makes the jump and hears Blake yell from below, "It decoupled itself!"
"What?!" Oobleck cries.
"He really doesn't want us on this train," Yang says.
Some distance behind, the detached caboose explodes with a brilliant flash. "Oh, not good," Oobleck mutters.
"Uh, neither is this!" Ruby says worriedly. She's holding another hatch open, revealing another bomb compartment.
"Another bomb?" Blake exclaims.
Oobleck makes the jump to the next car forward. He opens another hatch, revealing yet another bomb. "They all have bombs!"
Just as he finishes his words, the car on which team RWBY, Aris, Zwei, and Pikachu are standing detaches itself. "Jump for it!" Aris exclaims as he sets Pikachu on his shoulder and leaps for the next car. Team RWBY follows close behind.
"This doesn't make sense!" says Yang.
Up ahead, the White Fang grunts are making their approach. One of them, a young-looking female deer Faunus with brown hair, points at the group and calls out, "Get the humans!"
The grunts start to attack. Yang shatters the lead grunt's knee before slamming him into the train car below. Blake uses Gambol Shroud to slice up the grunts attacking her, sending one of them flying off the train. Weiss and Pikachu charge forward together, the Heiress running the grunts through with Myrtenaster as Pikachu activates Zippy Zap and pumps an insane amount of voltage into the grunts' bodies. Ruby knocks several grunts off the train with Crescent Rose. Aris draws his sword and shield and begins taking down the enemy. He sends one grunt flying to the ground with a bash from his shield, and swipes another's legs out from under them before knocking them away with a boot to the abdomen.
Oobleck watches as the newly detached car explodes some distance behind the rest of the train. Several large holes are blown into the sides and ceiling of the tunnel. From these holes, Grimm emerge. Not just a few, but an amount so large it can take several hours to count. Creeps, Beowolves, Ursai, Death Stalkers, Boarbatusks, even a King Taijitu. "Oh dear..." the Doctor groans. He turns to the students. "He's leading Grimm to the city!"
"What?!" Aris exclaims.
"It's the cars!" says the Doctor. "They detach and explode, creating openings for the Grimm to enter!"
"That's insane!" says Blake.
Just as she says that, the next car detaches itself, falling far behind the remainder of the train. Oobleck begins running forward to join team RWBY and Aris on their car. "You three!" he says to Weiss, Blake, and Yang. "Go below and try to defuse those bombs!"
"What about me and Aris?" asks Ruby.
"We're going to stop this train," says Oobleck.
"Dude, I said that earlier," Aris points out.
As Weiss, Blake, and Yang descend into the train cars, Oobleck leads Aris, Ruby, Zwei, and Pikachu into battle atop them. "Up ahead!" he says, pointing.
In front of them, an Atlesian Paladin is charging. "We've got a problem!" Oobleck declares.
"Thanks, captain obvious!" Aris says.
Oobleck takes a large swig from his thermos before transforming it into a metal bat with a small flame on the end. Zwei barks and nods.
The Corgi jumps up, curling into a ball as Oobleck whacks him with his flaming bat. Zwei sails through the air towards the incoming Paladin, engulfed in bright orange flames.
The canine collides with the charging Paladin, knocking the mechanical menace off the train and smashing it to pieces. Zwei lands safely on one of the cars up ahead.
Another Paladin arrives, standing right next to Zwei and towering over him. Oobleck leaps into action, blowing the Paladin to bits with his flaming bat.
Meanwhile, Weiss, Blake, and Yang arrive down below. "I guess this is what we trained for," says the blonde brawler.
Weiss hands something to Blake. It's a magazine filled with Dust-infused bullets. "Here," she says. "Take this."
Blake loads the magazine into her weapon before she charges ahead with Weiss and Yang. The trio is intercepted by a familiar-looking short girl with pink and brown hair, carrying a parasol. "You two go on ahead," Yang says. "This one's mine."
Weiss and Blake run ahead before the strange ice cream girl-Neo, if Yang is correct-can stop them.
Yang approaches Neo, sizing her up. The girl is a full head shorter than Yang, so this will probably be a relatively easy fight.
Neo smirks at Yang, who retaliates with a flying fiery fist.
Neo deflects Yang's punch with a simple swing of her parasol. The blonde brawler stumbles back a little, holding her right hand. Neo opens her parasol and rests it on her shoulder, waiting for Yang to attack.
Yang runs forward and sends a flurry of punches at Neo. The ice cream girl dodges every single one with seemingly no effort, managing to knock Yang to the floor of the train by tripping her up.
The blonde brawler gets back on her feet and goes in for another punch. Neo catches her arm and sends Yang back with a boot to the abdomen. The mute parasol girl rushes at Yang, who quickly jumps to her feet and attacks. Her initial punch is blocked by Neo's parasol, and her following attacks are all dodged as she takes numerous hits from Neo's strangely fitting weapon.
While Yang fights Neo, Weiss and Blake are running ahead. A muscular White Fang lieutenant in a slightly fancier mask arrives in the train car, dragging a large chainsaw behind him. The screech of metal on metal was deafening.
"You go ahead," Weiss tells Blake.
The cat Faunus nods and runs forward, past the lieutenant. Weiss stays behind and unsheathes Myrtenaster for battle.
Numerous clangs of steel on shining steel ring out as Myrtenaster clashes with the soldier's massive chainsaw. Blake quickly escapes through the ahead door as the lieutenant gets back to his feet after Weiss knocks him down. The lieutenant snickers. "Finally, I get to kill a Schnee."
Weiss says nothing in response, raising Myrtenaster and rotating the Dust cylinder.
Up ahead, Blake finds herself standing in front of none other than Roman Torchwick. "Hello, kitty cat," the criminal taunts. "Ya miss me? Y'know, we really gotta stop meeting under these circumstances. People might spread rumors."
Blake narrows her eyes and runs at him with Gambol Shroud at the ready.
The elusive Faunus knocks Torchwick back with a fiery shadow clone before jumping up into the air and hitting him with a volley of strikes. Torchwick fires an explosive bullet, but Blake dodges via shadow clone and retaliates, the blade of her katana meeting the metal of Torchwick's cane.
Blake springs back, leaving an icy clone in her place. Torchwick's cane is stuck in the frozen water. Blake takes her chance and sends an arch of purple energy his way, knocking her opponent to the ground as the ice clone shatters to pieces. Torchwick slams into the door up ahead, his cane wrested from his grip. He tries to get up, only for Blake to place her foot on his chest and situate the tip of her sword barely an inch from his undefended neck.
"Why are we fighting?" Torchwick says. "I saw you at the rally. We're on the same side."
Meanwhile...
The White Fang lieutenant brings his chainsaw down upon Weiss, only for her to block via a field of energy from Myrtenaster. The Heiress counters with a blow to the lieutenant's chest, following through by jumping into the air and slamming her boot into his face. She barely dodges another sweep from his chainsaw, and manages to evade the following swings. Weiss springs onto the ceiling and jumps back down at the lieutenant, who dodges and is able to parry her following attacks.
Weiss casts a Time Dilation glyph under her feet, and several normal ones around the lieutenant. With insane speed, she rushes the lieutenant, bouncing off her glyphs as she hits him with a brutal beat-down.
She goes for one final stab, but the lieutenant somersaults away and gets back up. She jumps at him for another attack.
The lieutenant snickers. "C'mere, princess."
The lieutenant grabs Weiss by her throat and slams her into the ground. He throws her upward, swinging his chainsaw at her.
Blake emerges from the car ahead, having knocked out Torchwick. She catches Weiss's incapacitated body as the lieutenant advances.
The door behind the lieutenant opens, and a green and white figure darts in.
The being slams the lieutenant to the floor before jumping back. The lieutenant turns. "What the-!"
Standing in the open doorway is Aris Atreides, tossing a PokeBall upwards in his hand as Gallade stands next to him.
BGM: Battle! Wally - Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire
"Listen well, you White Fang scum!" Aris proclaims. "Your days of darkness are numbered. Prepare to meet the light!" He turns to his Psychic/Fighting type. "Gallade! It's time to Mega Evolve!"
Aris rolls up his left sleeve, revealing a strange black bracelet with a green and pink gem studded into it. Aris raises his left arm as the gem in the bracelet shines bright, engulfing Gallade's body.
The light dies, and Gallade's new form is revealed. The Blade Pokemon now has white arms with red blades and has a sort of white cape on its back. This is no longer just Gallade...this is Mega Gallade.
"Work your magic, partner!" Aris calls.
Mega Gallade steels himself for battle and runs at the lieutenant.
The chainsaw wielder swings his weapon down on the Pokemon, but Mega Gallade darts away with ease. The Pokemon retaliates with a flurry of punches before dodging another blow and countering again.
Eventually, the lieutenant is unable to take any more. He falls to the floor, motionless.
End BGM
Back above, Ruby and Oobleck have just finished another Paladin. "Why did Aris go down below?" the Doctor asks.
Ruby shrugs. "No idea."
Two more Paladins are charging from further behind on the train. "Ruby, you go on ahead!" Oobleck instructs.
"But-"
"Don't worry, Ruby," says the Doctor. "It's high time I teach those rust-buckets a lesson."
Oobleck rushes off to deal with the Paladins. Ruby turns to her beloved Corgi. "Go help him, Zwei."
The dog barks happily before running off to aid his new friend.
Ruby stands firm on the roof of the train as Yang, Blake, Weiss, and Aris all emerge from a roof hatch behind her. "Guys!" Ruby calls. "We're headed for the barrier!"
"What do we do?" Yang exclaims.
Weiss and Aris smirk and nod to each other. Aris puts his hands together and a translucent field of golden light appears around him and team RWBY. Weiss reinforces it by stabbing Myrtenaster into the roof of the train and erecting a dome of ice over the five students.
There's a bang, and a shrill ring.
Aris opens his eyes. He's sitting in a pile of rubble with the members of team RWBY. There's a haze of smoke in the air, and alarms ring out in the distance. "Is..." Aris pants, "...is it over?"
BGM: Airship (Super Mario Bros. 3) - Super Smash Bros. Brawl
On that note, rumbling.
The black head of a King Taijitu emerges from the rubble as the civilians in the area run away in terror. Beowolves, Death Stalkers, Creeps, Ursai, and a myriad of other Grimm spring out as well, chasing after the people.
Aris staggers to his feet as team RWBY does the same. The Hylian draws the Master Sword in his right hand and the Hylian Shield on his left arm. He adjusts his waist belt, which holds six PokeBalls. Pikachu stands firm next to him. "Pika..." she seethes.
Aris knows exactly what Pikachu is saying: "Here we go again."
