Tw cuts
Renee knew the trial wasn't going to be easy, but he had to at least try to get through it, right? He pulled his hair into a plait and put on his black skirt and his white crop top. He glanced in the mirror and sighed. The cuts on his arms were obvious, and he couldn't have that. He pulled his black cardigan out of his bag and wrapped it around him.
"Renee? Are you ready?" called Ernest through the door .
"Just a sec," he called back, quickly pulling on his fishnet tights. He glanced in the mirror a second time and smiled. His makeup covered the bruise under his eye. He looked better than he'd ever looked. he opened the door and took a blindfold from his uncle.
"We have to wear blindfolds?" He asked, raising his eyebrows. Ernest nodded and rolled his eyes.
"Stupid, I know," he whispered. Renee giggled and followed him out. When they got to the lobby, they walked up to Frank and AJ and put their blindfolds on.
"The trial took a while, and Renee had to give a statement about what Olaf had done to him. Olaf's eyes flashed with fury. At some point, Renee and the Baudelaires all recognised the voices of the judges and looked up, taking their blindfolds off. And they all hated what they saw. As the Baudelaires began to tell everyone who those villains were, Renee noticed Olaf trying to take Justice Strauss to the elevator. He ran after them, with the Baudelaires following close behind.
They argued with Olaf for a while in the basement, before he snatched the book from Justice Strauss's hands and set it on fire.
Violet and Renee exchanged a look. How could they warn everyone? Luckily Sunny had an idea. When they entered the elevator, they pressed every button.
"What are you doing?" Olaf snapped at them. Justice Strauss gasped as she realised their plan.
"Thats so smart!" She said in admiration of the children. They smiled. Warning everyone was hard for some did not believe them. Olaf knew that he couldn't poison anyone because it was too late, but he knew he could escape.
Violet and Renee both got the boat off the roof, and the villian and the four youngsters travelled out to sea. When Renee turned around, he gulped.
"Violet..." he whispered. Violet turned around.
"Oh no..."
