Time for Roselia to finally introduce herself to the others and then, old and new Class VII work together to bring down a mythical dragon.
Underground Dragon
Dateline, July 16th, 1206.
The second day of our field study arrived and we were in the briefing room listening to Carl who was speaking with us on the monitor.
"After we captured those three agents yesterday, the rest of them have become even more weary." He said. "Our reports say that a large number of them have collected their listening equipment and entered the underground tunnels."
Lechter was also present in the room. "Yeah, soon as the Summer Festival starts up, we're gonna lose 'em all in a swarm of tourists. It sucks, but the only way we're gonna avoid that, is by using martial law and the Imperial Army."
"But if we bring the army into it, it will no longer matter whether the agents are dead or alive. We need to consider International Opinion, too. Now to mention, it would cause the citizens to panic right before the Summer Festival. I'd much prefer to settle this with arrests than with tanks."
"Agreed," Aurelia replied.
"Well, working with the main campus and the guild, we'll snatch 'em all up, one way or another." Randolph said.
Michael nodded. "The entire branch campus will unite to take care of the crises."
"Thank you. I thank you for your support as well, Lady Le Guin, and Professor Schmidt." Carl replied. "I've also sent a few new special requests I'd like you to take a look at later."
"Understood." Rean nodded.
"Please contact us if anything comes up." Towa said.
"I certainly will, thank you." Carl responded before the video call ended.
"All right, let's go over the plan." Michael said. "As of this morning, the professor's communication wave amplifiers have been sent to both the main campus and the guild."
"First off, Orlando's team and mine will split up and go down the unexplored tunnels in the west side of Heimdallr." Aurelia added. "There, we'll set up the communication network, while we hunt down and dispose of the republic's agents."
"Arresting. We're arresting them." Randolph sighed. "Seems like they got some crazy new gear called RAMDA."
"Rambo?" I asked randomly.
"RAMDA." Schmidt corrected. "However, it appears it's only been recently developed, so they've not yet mastered its use. If the General and Orlando are in the field, I'm certain a platoon or two will be no issue."
"Haha, but on the flipside, if they got any more guys than that, there's no guarantee you'll survive." Lechter said.
"I suppose I won't hold back then." Aurelia replied.
'Wow, she's sounds more reckless than me today.' I thought.
"Umm, the safety of the students should be our top priority." Towa reminded.
Rean felt nervous hearing Aurelia's words. "She's right, so please try and make sure you arrest the agents."
"Thank you for contacting us, Major Arundel." Michael said. "If there's any further movement, please let us know."
"You got it. Well, good luck, everyone." Lechter replied and left the train.
"I suppose we should start with what our old friends are doing today." I said.
"Yeah, they're split up across the city." Rean added. "They might've found something, so if we run into any of them, we should check in."
"All right. Day two of our exercises has begun. Let's get to it." Aurelia declared. "Our time limit is 4pm. If the agents are not apprehended by then, martial law will be invoked. We WILL have results by then. The sirens will not be ringing today!"
We left the train and went over the requests, we had a monster to slay which was underground and we had to patrol around Heimdallr Airport and the Karel Imperial Villa. We agreed to go after the underground monster first before doing our patrol over those two areas. The rest of the old Class VII would have other parts of the city covered so we weren't worried about them for the time being.
We used the bikes to get to the cemetery and used the way out path that would take us back into the underground tunnels.
"Didn't think we'd be down here again so soon." I said. "But now that I think about it, wasn't there a pathway we went past because we were chasing those agents?"
"Yeah, but didn't have time to look for it." Rean answered. "The monster we're looking for may be down that way. So let's find that unexplored path and make our way to the end."
Rean led the way as we navigated through the familiar tunnels and took a left turn to the unexplored path that took us down a flight of stairs and then down another flights of stairs before we reached the end. There was a weird looking monster laying in wait with tentacles, this had to be the monster we needed to take down.
*Battle Skip*
Well, despite how gross it looked, we still beat it, accomplishing one task. We left the underground passage back the way we came and out of the cemetery before we got back on the bikes to go to Heimdallr.
"So, shall we use the bikes to go to the villa?" I asked.
"No, we can use the special train from the central station to get there, it's much quicker." Rean replied.
I nodded and we got off our bikes outside the city before catching the tram to the central station. We then got on the special train, and just in time too.
"Thank you for waiting. This special train to the Karel Imperial Villa will now be departing."
We then arrived at the Imperial Villa and the place was just like how I remembered when I was here before when we rescued the Royal family, Carl and Elise.
"Wow, just look at this place. Is that a waterfall?" Juna asked.
"Indeed it is." I replied.
"Man, I didn't think Heimdallr was home to anything like this." Ash said.
"Only the best for the Imperial family." Kurt added. "Shame it's so cloudy though."
Musse smiled. "It's not my first time as this villa. Alfin invited me a few times when we were classmates."
"But that isn't all." Altina said. "This was the very place where I and Claiomh Solais stood against Rean, Alex and the rest of old Class VII."
"And I was the one who showed my true powers to you." I rubbed my head. "Though I believe I overdid it with that one."
"Well, she was undercover at the time. I can't blame her." Rean said. "But that's all in the past now."
Altina nodded.
We walked up the pathway to the entrance of the villa. we walked inside and it was still as grand as ever. We then took a left turn that would take us back outside, but near the gazebo shelter area where a small crowd was listening to a violin piece. Elliot had to be there, along with Gaius who said he was gonna be with him too. Once the violin performance was done, the small crowed applauded and broke off. Giving us a chance to speak with Elliot and Gaius.
"Sorry about all that, they've been asking me to play for a while now." Elliot said. "Oh, and you must be the new members of Class VII. Gaius told me all about you."
"It's a pleasure. I adore your new record." Musse complimented.
"Oh, you bought it? You're making me blush."
"So then, did you find anything new?" I asked.
"Well, we didn't find any listening devices here, so it looks like the agents are hiding around here."
I pondered. "I wonder why that would be...what about you, Gaius?"
"Well, it's not so much information as it is a feeling." He answered. "I can feel the wind much more strongly here than I can anywhere else. Including the malicious wind blowing from the heart of Heimdallr."
"Right, and when something like that is brewing, it cannot end well."
"That doesn't sound good..." Rean said.
"Well, it's not like I can predict magic like Emma can." Gaius replied. "But we Nords have lived in harmony with the wind for many, many years. And in that time, the wind has offered us signs of things to come. Forebodings of war, omens of evil, and in the last six months, I've felt the wind more strongly then I ever have before."
"Is that the reason you left the empire?" Elliot asked.
"One of them, yes." Gaius waved and a hawk landed by him before flying away.
"I see...we'll look into it as we continue our patrols." Rean said.
We left the villa and Rean got a call from the instructors and that they were ready on thier end. Our next destination was the Heimdallr Airport and I was in awe of the size.
"This airport is huge!" Juna commented. "The lobby alone is bigger than Crossbell's entire airport."
"Well, it is the biggest airport in the empire." Kurt said. "I heard they just completed renovations to expand it earlier this year."
Altina nodded. "Yes. In order to offer direct flights to Crossbell, Jurai, and Hailask."
"Airships and trains have become integral parts of today's travel infrastructure." Musse said. "It's safe to say thier popularity will continue to grow at an alarming rate."
"Heh, even though tickets are still pretty expensive, it's pretty crowded in here, don't ya think?" Ash asked.
"That's because the summer festival is approaching." Rean reminded. "The number of inbound flights from abroad must be staggering."
"We should be able to check the flight deck as we look around here." I said. "So let's get back to it."
We explored around the airport and walked onto the flight decks and near one of the end of the decks was Alisa and Gwyn was with her, I hadn't seen her grandfather for a long time.
"Oh, hey guys." Alisa greeted.
"Ahhh, is that who I think it is?" Gwyn asked. "Well, if it isn't Alex and Rean. My word, I nearly didn't recognize you both. Has it really only been a year and a half?"
"It sure has." I replied. "Good to to see you still living up to your talent."
"Oh thank you. And Rean, I've seen your face in magazines and such, but they didn't do you justice at all. You've also become quite the young stud. I can't say I blame Alisa for falling in love with you."
"Grandfather!" Alisa blushed.
Gwyn then met the new Class VII and despite him flattering the girls, we moved onto more important matters.
"So anyways, did you find anything here?" I asked.
"Earlier, I found both a listening device and a micro-camera hidden away." Alisa replied.
"That's worrying." Rean said.
"Are they trying to track our every move?" Ash asked.
"I've heard a little about what's going on. It seems pretty serious." Gwyn answered. "And from the sound of it, what's going on behind the scenes is ever more so."
Just then, an airship arrived from above us and I was surprised to see it here. It was the courageous, the ship that old Class VII was on when I was away accomplishing my demon power acceptance goals. On the ship was Olivert and Victor Arsied and they seemed happy to see us all again.
After finishing our patrol at the airport, we agreed to check the other areas we visited before. We went to the Racecourse where Machias and Jusis were exchanging information over locations where listening devices were found, but were taken care of. Rean got another call, hearing that Aurelia's team had detained seven agents from underground.
We went to Sankt District next and over to the cathedral where Claire and Millium were meeting up to make up for the times they kept missing each other a few times as well as hearing that the agents captured refused to disclose all information.
Next was Vesta Street where Rean got another call and Randolph's team arrested five more agents and they weren't acting normal and a few more were caught by the bracer guild. Sara and Fie were in the guild building and Toval, Agate and Tio were on the screen with more information to exchange.
Last but not least, the Valflame Plaza where Laura, Emma and Celine were on standby and I was happy to see Emma again. She was casting a spell, possibly to find traces of the spirit veins and possibly other stuff.
"Hey there, Laura, Celine and Emma." I greeted, smiling a little. "Anything new?"
"Oh, Alex, Rean and the new Class VII." Emma replied. "I searched the spirit veins around the capital again. But since last night, there's been an alarming amount of turbulence. It's similar to when the Infernal Castle showed up a year and a half ago."
The Infernal Castle, the moment where our backs were to the wall. She then mentioned something called the dark dragon, the same one my group fought two years ago when we were facing against Gideon. Looks like the real one may be alive and kicking and if so, it could be related to why the strange stuff was happening.
"Alex?" Emma called to me.
"Huh? What's up?" I responded.
"We were just mentioning about the tale of the Red Moon Rose and how it connects to what we may be witnessing here. Also, you were in a deep focus and whenever I see that, I know it's something big, and that makes me worried for you."
As usual, she never misses a beat. "You're right, I wanna tell you, but it's more of a private matter. So I'd like to save it, until we get the chance."
She nodded. "Alright, I'll remember you said that."
"Anyways, we'll contact you if anything changes on our end." Rean said.
We left the plaza and the last place to check was Leica street, but the moment we arrived, I heard a sudden bell noise in my head and my body shivered before my head began to ache.
"Ngh! That hurt."
"What was that, a bell?" Rean noticed it first. "What's happening, Alex?"
"I just felt a sudden arrival of an unknown entryway not far from us." I rubbed my forehead. "Something just occurred and it's coming from the museum."
We made our way to the museum, but the gate was locked and there was a message on it.
We are closed today to prepare for the Summer Festival. Starting tomorrow, for the next five days, we will be extending our hours to 8am to 9pm.
"Oh, that's bad timing." I muttered.
"Can't we just contact someone and force 'em to let us in?" Ash asked.
"I can use Claiomh Solais to enter through the window." Altina suggested.
Musse walked up to the gate and pushed on it, and it moved easily.
"The gate is unlocked?" She asked.
"Looks like someone is inside." Rean said.
"Phew, lucky us." Juna sighed.
"Let's hurry inside." Kurt said.
We went inside the museum and the doors were unlocked too, there were two people as well.
"Is that Professor Lughman and Dorothee?" I asked.
"Oh, Rean and Alex." She replied.
"Ah. Good to see you again." Lughman said.
"Is something going on?" Juna asked.
"The museum is closed today, but the professors at the institute take turns overseeing it. Today is my turn, but one of the exhibits has begun acting strangely."
"Strangely? How so?" Altina asked.
"My ears have been ringing this whole time." Ash said. "Has it got something to do with that?"
Rean nodded. "Yeah, it almost seems like something's resonating."
"Which exhibit is it?" I asked.
"You should see it for yourself." Lughman answered.
"Please be careful everyone." Dorothee warned. "We don't know what could happen in there."
We rushed down the hallway and into the exhibit area and the bell was glowing with lines of a dark aura around it.
"What the heck?!" I exclaimed.
"The bell from Stargazer's Tower?" Juna asked.
"That must've been what we heard a moment ago." Musse said. "But that evil-looking aura..."
"Could this be the 'turbulence' Gaius was talking about?" Kurt reminded.
"Or perhaps it has something to do with the spirit veins Emma mentioned." Altina said.
Rean hummed. "I definitely agree it's connected. But I don't think the bell is the cause."
"Do you think it might be connected to that?" Dorothee asked
"Yes. There is a high likelihood." Lughman replied.
"Do you know something?" I asked.
"We heard a little shake in the ground a while ago." Dorothee answered. "It seemed like it because of something in the underground, so we went to check it out."
"Going down into the basement, we saw a strange glow coming from below. Not unlike the glow coming off this bell now." Lughman explained. "No, I suppose I should call it 'miasma'. It seemed dangerous, so we went back and locked the entrance behind us."
"Is there another underground tunnel from even here?" Kurt asked.
"No, it's a little different here. Below this museum is a catacomb, one of the few in Heimdallr."
A catacomb, just like before when we fought that dragon under Mater Park.
"Is it okay if we go down there and look?" Rean asked.
Lughman nodded. "We would appreciate it." He handed the basement key to Rean.
"It's just over there. To the right of the rest area. Please be careful." Dorothee said.
We rushed over to the door and unlocked it and then past another door that took us downstairs and to a third door, we opened it and walked into a dark red area. This was the catacomb for sure, but it's a lot more grim and the higher elements are present too.
"This looks pretty bad, we're gonna need all the help we can get." I said.
Rean nodded. "Dorothee, can you get in contact with Emma and get her to let the rest of old Class VII know that we're here and tell them what's going on?"
"Emma's here, too?!" She replied. "Oh um, understood, leave it to me."
"Good luck, everyone." Lughman said. "I will contact the institute and check the other exhibits."
Rean then called for the field exercise camp and explained the situation to Towa before getting Valimar on the line. We'll definitely need him once things get seriously tough. We moved downwards and reached a big area where there were countless of those Pleroma grasses and some kind of open gate that would lead to another dimension.
"Are these the catacombs?" Kurt asked.
"No, space itself has been warped here." Rean replied. "Probably due to that gate and all this scarlet Pleroma grass."
Juna gulped.
"That gate...it resembles the one in the island ruins." Musse said.
"Ah, the Sol Shrine, right?" Kurt asked.
"One of the shrines built all over Erebonia by the people know as the gnomes." Altina said.
"Heh, I don't get what's going on, but these flowers are the cause of all this crap, right?" Ash got out his axe. "So let's just whack a few damn weeds."
He cut the grass which vanished.
Kurt sighed. "You're so reckless."
But then, the grass grew back quickly.
"Okay, that hasn't happened before." I said.
Musse pondered. "Due to the strong magical energies here, I would guess."
Suddenly, three agents walked from the gate and they had a dark aura around them.
"What in the world?!" I got out the gauntlets. "They're about to attack, get ready!"
*Battle Skip*
They were much tougher than before, due to the dark aura, but they were down. But then, the dark aura came back and they got back up.
"What the?! Have they become just like puppets?" I asked in shock.
"Hehe, a passing mark." A voice spoke.
Suddenly, Roselia appeared in front of us.
"You see, there is a method to suppress these loathsome creatures It is rather simple. You only need to temporarily sever their chi from thier bodies."
Roselia threw three small papers at the agents and they went down instantly.
"I can sense thier powers gone now." I sighed. "What in the world did you just do?"
"Know this." Roselia turned to us. "The current situation is even worse than you may imagine. What lies ahead of you is the nest where it slumbers. The calamity that destroyed Heimdallr 900 years ago will reawaken soon."
"You mean...the dark dragon?" Kurt asked.
"Are you saying...it wasn't destroyed?" Rean added.
"No, it was indeed slain 800 years ago at the hand of Emperor Hector's Vermillion Knight." Roselia answered. "But after the Vermillion Castle appeared and those fools started taking action, its corpse began to stir. Now, the curse of the land gains power and the dragon's body is rebuilding itself. It is the greatest and most terrible cryptid of all. Capable of swallowing the entirety of Heimdallr in its darkness."
"900 years ago? Was that during the dark ages?" I asked.
"Correct. Which brings me to you, Alex. Did you know that Revelio the Tyrant had a fierce, yet loyal pet? Before he was defeated, he transferred a part of his soul to the Dark Dragon and from there, his pet began to continue causing terror in order to keep Revelio's dying wish alive, to plunge Erebonia and the world, into eternal darkness."
'Huh, I wasn't told that when I saw its soul wandering that day.' I thought.
"Screw that!" Ash exclaimed.
"That may have been possible back then." Altina said. "But now..."
"The beast can chain down human souls to create a nearly endless number of Nighttouched." Roselia continued. "The destruction 200 years go was caused by only a handful of people exposed to the miasma. However, if it were to spread through Heimdallr like a plague, what would happen?"
I gasped. "The plague would become a pandemic all across Erebonia, and even beyond that!"
"Are you serious?!" Juna exclaimed.
Roselia came up to us and handed Rean a pack of paper cards.
"Use these well." She advised. "I must take care of my own mission. My covenant from ancient items still holds. You can do as you wish. Emma and company will be here before long."
"Wait, before you go." I said. "Could you tell them your name, please? It's getting more difficult for me stay focused."
She giggled. "Only because you said please. I am the Elder of the Hexen Clan. Crimson Roselia Millstein. Emma's grandmother, Celine's creator, and the one who taught Vita everything she knows. But you may call me 'Rose'. Farewell for now."
She turned and walked through the red gate.
"Is she joking?" Ash asked.
"She was kidding about being Emma's grandmother, right?" Altina added.
I sighed. "No, it's the truth and they may not be related by blood, but that aside, Heimdallr is facing a crises."
Rean nodded.
Just then, the old Class VII and Celine arrived and we explained the situation to them.
"What in the world?" Laura asked.
"Nighttouched? So you're saying they could spread throughout the whole city?" Alisa added.
"This is way past bad." Millium said. "It's gonna do a lot more than just cause a panic."
Sara nodded. "Yeah, but it'd be impossible to evacuate all of Heimdallr in time."
"You said Emma's grandmother went in there already?" Fie asked.
"Yeah, she said that she is the Elder of the Hexen Clan." I answered.
"I see, that is true." Emma replied. "The Nighttouched have been a big concern of hers since ancient times."
"She said she was going to take care of them herself, but maybe she changed her mind." Celine said. "Considering she gave you those talismans."
"I take that to mean we'll be encountering more of these Nighttouched on the other side of that gate?" Jusis asked.
"Yeah, it does seem that way by just looking at it." I answered. "But...uhg! Ngh! My head!" I got on one knee.
"Alex?!" Emma rushed over to me. "What's wrong?"
"Hah...a slight headache. It's been happening since today." I stood back up. "But it doesn't make sense, I accepted these powers, but I seem to be having these headaches lately."
"You're either pushing yourself too hard, or something is on the way and it's going to push your mental strength, beyond what your mind and body can cope with." Celine said.
I looked at the gate and calmed. "Well, for now, if what lies beyond here could be worse than the infernal castle, we shouldn't turn away from it."
"You're right. Even if it's more dangerous than the Infernal Castle, we've all grown a lot since then." Alisa said.
Elliot nodded. "In mind and body. I know I've been practicing my orbal staff tons."
"Protecting the people is what the bracers do." Fie added.
Sara giggled. "You guys."
I rubbed my head as everyone raised thier voices to build up morale. We walked through the gate and all around us was a completely different location, almost like another world.
"The dark dragon sanctuary." Laura said.
"This reminds me of the seventh floor we were on back at the old schoolhouse." I added. "But it appears to be much, much bigger."
"The cryptid that turned Heimdallr into a city of the dead lies further within." Kurt said.
"Looks like we've got three entrances ahead of us." Sara pointed out.
Emma nodded. "I believe they're a type of spiritual pathway."
"It's said that 800 years ago, Emperor Hector had to split his troops into three." Celine said.
"In that case, shall we handle this like the Naval Fortress?" Gaius suggested.
"I'm sure there'll be traps in here, too." Fie said.
"Time is short, so let's get started. If martial law is declared now, it could lead to mass panic." Rean reminded. "They might even the use from the Nighttouched as an excuse to start a war with Calvard.
"Well, it might be possible." Machias said.
Millium agreed. "Yeah, it's not really Claire or Lechter's style to pull a stunt like that, but..."
"Chancellor Osborne and my brother are a different story." Jusis finished.
"Class VII, let's give it everything we've got." Rean said. "I want us to split up into three teams. Let me hear your opinions on who should go where."
Team A was Juna, Kurt, Sara, Fie, Elliot and Gaius. I was leading Team B with Musse, Ash, Jusis, Millium and Emma. And Rean led Team C with Altina, Alisa, Laura and Machias. With the teams decided, we got into our teams and I led Team B to the red gate on the right and we began our exploration of the sanctuary.
We arrived at the first part of our route, determined to get through this.
"Alright, this is where things get serious." I said. "You all ready?"
"Damn right!" Ash agreed.
"Remember to pull back if you get hurt, Alex." Emma advised. "I'm here for you."
Celine sighed. "I suppose the same goes for everyone else too."
"Let's uncover the truth of what's happening to this land." Musse said.
"I shall fulfill my duty as a noble and put an end to this threat." Jusis added.
"Hehe, this is gonna be awesome!" Millium said happily. "Let's do this, Lammy!"
We made our way across the first area and then noticed a large floor panel, we stood on it and it lit up. We then got a call from Rean and Juna who said they found the same as well and with all of them pressed together, the way to the next area would be unlocked.
We rushed down to the second area and along the way, we took down strong monsters and found a lever that unlocked doors for one of the other teams to get further in, we then noticed the doors on our end open as well. We then reached the end of the second area and stepped on the floor panel.
The way through was then opened with help from the other teams and rushed down to the third area where a large door was blocking our way. Each of the teams were seeing the same door, Emma said that the cursed gems need to be destroyed so the orbs on the doors shine again.
We did our part in finding and destroying three cursed gems before returning back to the large door. We watched as the six other orbs lit up on the door and then it opened. We rushed upwards and towards an area where we fought a group of giant monsters blocking our way.
We then headed onwards and reached an outdoor area where all of our teams routes met and regrouped.
"Phew, we finally made it all." I said. "That's awesome."
"Yeah, truly is." Rean replied. "Over there has to be where the dragon is. Let's all go together."
"The time has come." Celine added. "You better be ready."
We opened the last door and rushed towards a giant open area where Roselia was and beyond her was a field of that grass and in the middle was the dark dragon itself that was laying dormant, it wasn't awake yet.
"We finally made it." I muttered. "The dragon that used to be Revelio's pet."
"Its presence is overwhelming." Laura said.
Fie nodded. "It's on a completely different level from the bones we fought way back when."
"You made me wait, young ones." Roselia said to us.
"Grandmother." Emma called.
Celine sighed. "You're the one who ran off ahead."
"Hmph, I would have preferred to do this on my own." Roselia replied. "But given how much it has restored itself, that is no longer an option. On top of that, my power is not what it once was."
"Figures..."
"A being even greater than the Vermillion Apocalypse." Emma said.
"Though it is only newly reborn, it is still powerful enough to obliterate all of Heimdallr." Roselia continued. "Therefore we must slay it before it can do that."
I then heard a heartbeat and my head ached again. "Ngh!"
Suddenly, the large dark dragon woke up and stood against us.
"Alex, I strongly advise that you do NOT use your demon powers against this one." Roselia warned. "Since this dragon has a fragment of Revelio's power, using your demon attacks on it will regenerate its health."
"Wait, what?!" I yelled.
"Now then, I will leave this to you, the children of this era. Class VII, show me your strength!"
We got ready to do battle against the strongest dragon we will ever face...the True Zoro-Agruga.
*Battle Skip*
After weakening it and wearing it down, it stumbled, but it still resisted what we attacked with.
"We brought it all we had, but we need something more." I said.
"Indeed. You will need a zemurian weapon." Roselia replied. "Rean Schwarzer, now is the time to fulfill your duty."
"Yes..." Rean replied. "...Ash, call your machine."
"Hell yeah!" Ash nodded.
"Heed my call! Valimar, the Ashen Knight!"
Valimar and Hector appeared and Rean and Ash got into thier soldats whilst we kept the dragon distracted before Rean and Ash were ready to finish off the dragon.
*Battle Skip*
Following the second battle, we finally achieved victory when it seemed like we wouldn't, but a lot of black miasma was pouring out a little. Roselia brought out a large staff and casted a spell which caused the dragon to be transported away to only Aidios knows what and the grass was gone too.
"Now that was a powerful spell." I said. "Wait, I see more of those agents over there."
Some of them went over and the agents were alive, but unconscious.
"What a relief, I think the worst of it is over." Alisa said.
"Can we now say that the crises is averted?" Laura asked.
"Hmm, I'm not sure...but I do feel another presence nearby." I replied
Emma hummed. "Does it have something to do with you, Grandmother?"
"It is true we do not need to worry about the Dark Dragon any longer." Roselia answered. "However, there are still other threats looming over us."
"Oh no, I won't let you wiggle out of giving me answers this time." Emma went up to her. "Why didn't you tell me you were going all over Erebonia? Where is Vita, and what is she doing?"
"You don't need to glare at me so. I had good reason to do what I did."
"It's because you're so secretive that you always end a step behind! Like when Vita Ouroboros, or when the Infernal Castle appeared! Not to mention, everything about you is disorderly, right down to your diet!"
'Dang, my girlfriend is in a bad mood today.' I thought.
"I...have been watching my intake, if nothing else." Roselia said.
"Uh, are they always like this?" Rean asked.
"Pretty much. Except when magic is concerned." Celine answered.
"Hey, Celine! Your creator requires assistance!" Roselia requested. "Do something to get me out of this lecture."
"I really feel for you." I said. "But Emma has been worried sick about you."
"Ahem...well, I came here to find Vita, but however...it seems we have found someone else here."
I then felt the someone else approaching. "Up on the top right, everyone!"
It was Siegfried again...or Crow as I was completely sure now.
"I came to see how you guys were handling things, but I didn't expect I'd get to see a legend while I was at it." He said. "The star of 'Red Moon Rose' herself, Crimson Roselia."
"Hmph!" Roselia used her staff to cast a spell. "There are other things I need to do. We will speak once more during the Summer Festival. Farewell, Class VII. You may do what you wish for now."
She then vanished away.
"Heh heh, that was quite the show." Siegfried said. "Well, since all of us are here, how about we do battle?"
"I would like nothing more than that." Rean replied. "There are some things that can only be said through the clash of blades. Even if you're using guns."
Rean charged at Siegfried and thier solo battle began.
*Battle Skip*
Rean did well at bringing Siegfried down, but he still remained standing.
"Today's the day that mask of yours finally comes off." Rean said.
"Agreed, so how about I pull it off for you?" I smirked. "But I wouldn't wanna ruin your pretty face though."
"Hehe, you're a funny guy." Siegfried. "But neither of you have permission to see my face. Come, Ordine!"
His divine knight appeared, but it wasn't transparent this time, it was fully clear.
"Let me give you a warning. What happened today was a a fluke." He said. "Although, that might have been part of his plan, too."
"Wait, do you really remember nothing?" Rean asked. "Not even a little?"
"Sorry, but I'm not privy enough to tell you. But soon, it'll all come out when the time is right, till we meet again next time..."
Ordine and Siegfried disappeared and whilst everyone contemplated on what's going on, I saw Ash in the corner of my eye, going to one of the unconscious agents. He picked up a gun and pocketed it whilst covering his left eye. I was about to question him, but I figured that maybe I could tell him later.
Sara, Rean and Millium made contacts since our investigation was done, but why...why did Ash take a gun and hid it away?
If it's to do with the Summer Festival, I would need to be ready at a moment's notice...
Next time! The Summer Festival begins before the class is invited to the palace for a dance.
