A/N: I would like to thank everyone that added this story to their favourites and follows as well as everyone that reviewed the last chapter.
This is definitely Hibari's work.
Naruto grimaced as her blue eyes took in the bruised and cuts surrounding the various bodies around her. If I have to guess it seems like only a few hours since he came here. The knowledge made the dread inside of her stomach intensified. If Hibari had been here for the last few hours and still haven't come back then it meant things was bad.
She tossed away the unconscious body and looked around the abandoned amusement park. So many unconscious bodies but the blonde could not find any sign of her ally. No messy black hair at all. No Namimori Middle School Uniform. There were only the unconscious bodies of students from Kokuyo Middle School. Her heart fell and Naruto closed her eyes.
From behind her, a tree exploded and Naruto swirled her head around. No sign of anyone but that didn't mean anything. She slipped her hand into her pocket, pulling out a kunai and the explosive seal that Jiraiya taught her to make. She wrapped the seal on the bottom of the kunai and inhaled. There was a crunch of the grass and Naruto could hear a faint buzzing sound heading to the rail right in front of her.
Without a second thought, Naruto closed her eyes and channeled her chakra into the seal on the kunai. She hurled it at the direction of the trees right in front of her. Boom. She took a step back as the rails boiled and burst, hurling pieces of metal at her. Pieces of wood crumbled and the blonde kept the expression on her face blank as a red-haired girl came out of the woods.
"You have such a boring weapon," the girl complained, leaning against the tree and picking up the kunai. "I don't understand why Mukuro-chan wants me to deal with you! You don't even look like a threat!"
Where the hell is Hibari? Did that stupid Mukuro do something to him? She longed to ask the question but Naruto just bit her tongue. The rusty taste of her own blood reminded her to control her temper. Narumi exhaled and stared at the cocky girl right in front of her. If there was one thing that irritated her, it was someone like this girl.
"Wow," Naruto said. "You really are an idiot."
Purple eyes gleamed with irritation and the blonde inspected the girl. I'm guessing the explosives comes from that clarinet from her. That was an odd piece of equipment to use but Naruto guessed that it made things easier for her. All she had to do was get rid of that weapon and it would be game over for that girl.
She is someone that Hibari wouldn't have problems defeating. This knowledge made her pressed her lips into a frown. Who had been the one to attack Hibari? Was it this Mukuro person? It had to be him. Her ally was not some pathetic guy that would be defeated by some little punk like the bitch right in front of her.
"Don't talk to me like you know me," the girl growled.
Naruto dug her nail against her ears and looked up at the floating clouds. If this was just another ordinary day, I would be watching the clouds with Hibari as he slept. The thought brought out another sigh and her blue eyes hardened as she swirled her head at the girl. Today was unfortunately had to be one of the days where her temper had to be tested. "Why the hell would I even talk to you like I know you? By the end of today…you will be dead."
The red-haired girl laughed as if not convinced one bit by her words. She is probably more stupid than Ami. The thought was reassuring to her. Ami always knew better than to angered her. One look from her eye and that bully understood that Naruto did not play around when she uttered such words. This girl still thought that she wouldn't do it.
No.
She thought she was stronger than her and Naruto knew that would be her downfall.
"You shouldn't be so confident," the girl snorted and slammed her hand against her chest. "I'm stronger than you."
Naruto let out another yawn and the red-haired girl put her lips against the flute. Closing her eyes, the blonde gathered her chakra into her legs and dashed straight at the girl. Rocks and other various items exploded all around her. Some hurled at her, almost burning her skin and she knew if it weren't for the beast inside of her…then it would probably leave a mark against her skin.
"Did she just disappear!" The red-haired girl grumbled as her head swirled around to have a better look for her. Naruto snorted and grabbed the girl by the collar. She swung her around and smashed her right down on the ground before yanking the clarinet from her hands. Purple eyes widened in horror and Naruto snapped the clarinet in half with her knee.
The girl paled and tried to scrambled away from her. Fear shone through her eyes as if she suddenly understood the situation that she was in. She thought she was the head bitch but only to realize that I'm the person in charge. Naruto kicked the girl against her stomach, sending her flying through the trees and the blonde dashed straight to the girl.
"Without that little clarinet of yours, you are pathetic," Naruto declared as the girl groaned and clutched her stomach. Dribbles of blood leaked out of her mouth as violet eyes widened with fear. The red-haired girl trembled but did not move an inch from her spot. If you haven't pissed me off, there would have been a chance I would go easy on you. The blonde sighed at the thought and pulled out another kunai from her pocket.
"W-What are you going to do to me?" The girl whimpered. Silva dribbled down her lips while her voice screamed with fear. From right above them, Narumi could see the ravens flying away. That is never a good sign. She dismissed the thought and focused on the whimpering, sobbing girl that sat right in front of her.
"Well you can tell me where your Mukuro-chan is and maybe I will decide to let you live," Naruto sang. She held up her kunai, twirling it around with a wide smile playing on her lips. Violet eyes shone with hope and the blonde knew that like all humans…she would choose her survival over this Mukuro guy. "But if you don't tell me where he is, I will just kill you."
The girl paled and raised a single shaky finger over Naruto's head. The blonde twisted her head around and stared at the broken windows on the largest building on sight. The best location to look for intruders. The thought made her grimace. He might be watching her right now but at least she hadn't shown any of the skills that Jiraiya had just taught her.
"You know I decided that I'm going to kill you," Naruto declared. Violet eyes widened and the blue-eyed girl slashed the girl by the throat. Blood dribbled down to the grass as violet eyes looked at her like she was a liar. Such a silly girl. She looked down at the broken clarinet in her hand and tossed it at the girl who fell straight down to the ground.
"Y-You lied!" The girl choked out. More blood spluttered out to the ground and the whiskered girl sighed. Naruto pocket her own kunai back into her pockets and knelt down to look at the furious eyes of the dying girl before her. She acts like I made her a promise. The thought brought out a laugh and the blonde stared coldly at the girl before her.
"I told you that I might let you live," she reminded her. "That never implied that I will let you live. You are still apart of the group that hurt my ally, attacked the innocent students of my school and you think I will let you live? I'm not some kind-hearted bitch that forgives people. If I let you live, you will stab me in the back…it is only right I kill you."
Naruto looked to the looming building in front of her and began walking away. Not once did she look back to the dying girl in the background and not once did she think that she should let the girl live. Anyone that harms her, her allies or even her friends did deserve to die. It was only the law of the nature.
The strong survived and the weak would always perish.
"Is Gokudera-kun going to be okay, Haku-kun?"
Tsuna glanced at the unconscious Gokudera before fixating his eyes on Haku. The brown-haired teen sighed while Yamamoto and Bianchi inspected the work Haku had done on his friend. They had been too late when they found a strange boy who had attacked Gokudera, took one glance at them before walking away from them with so many injuries.
It barely looks like he got hurt. Tsuna looked at the healed bruises and the disappeared cuts before glancing at the extracted poison on the side of the room. What would have happened if Haku wasn't with them? He did not want to even think about it. Bianchi kept darting her eyes between them with suspicion and he understood why.
Bianchi hadn't met Haku before.
"I removed the poison circulating in his system and most of his injuries have been healed," Haku answered. "He will be good to go in the next couple of hours."
The brown-haired boy relaxed his shoulders at this piece of information while Bianchi looked down at her sleeping brother. I really don't know how Haku can do it. Tsuna curled his lips into a frown and rubbed the back of his neck. When he looked at Naruto and Haku, he could really see the difference between them when it came to abilities.
Haku was able to heal someone in just matter of hours, while most doctors would recommend Gokudera stayed in a bed for three weeks. I really owe Naruto one. The thought made him sigh. She was probably going to make them pay when Naruto came back from dealing the people who were targeting the students of their school.
"You did a good job of healing my brother," Bianchi said to Haku. The boy smiled while his brown eyes darted from the silver-haired teen before looking at him. Those brown eyes flashed with concern and Tsuna wondered if the older boy was concerned for Naruto. He probably wanted to go with her. The thought made him frown.
He really hoped Naruto made the right decision to leave Haku with them.
"I am grateful that Naruto left you with us," Tsuna informed Haku. The brown-haired boy sighed at those words while Yamamoto nodded his head in agreement. "I was really surprised that she would leave you with us."
Haku did not smile at those words while his brown eyes fixated on him. There were no emotions in his eyes at those words, making it hard for him to figure out what was going through his head. The brown-haired teen thinned his lips into a thin line, pushing it back and forth like he was debating about something. Finally the teen slumped his shoulders.
"You probably think Naruto-sama is a little bit cruel because of the fact that she charges you a lot of money, doesn't she?" Tsuna flinched while Yamamoto let out a nervous laugh. Haku sighed and looked at Gokudera before fixating his eyes on them. "But Naruto-sama is a warm person but life in our part of the world doesn't allow for warmth."
Tsuna frowned at those words while Bianchi stared at him. Yamamoto didn't look all too surprised since his brown eyes did not widened at all at those words. I know Naruto didn't have it easy but I didn't think Haku was the same. The thought made his stomach turned and he wondered what happened to Haku.
He doubt that the boy would answer the question to them. It was personal and Tsuna doubt Haku would be willing to open up to them. He seems to be really opened up around Uzumaki. He sighed and looked out to the window. If Uzumaki was here then she would be here barking at them to give her the money.
Tsuna almost missed the whiskered-teen.
"Do you think Uzumaki-san is going to be okay?" Tsuna asked Haku. Out of everyone inside the infirmary, only the long-haired teen probably knew the full extent of the girl's abilities. He knew that Naruto probably got stronger after training with Jiraiya since he caught them training in the mountains. But watching her train was probably different from actually doing it in practice.
Haku grimaced and that made his stomach dropped. Maybe it was a bad idea for her to go alone. He curled his lips into a thin line while Yamamoto sweated at the expression. He knew that he was not going to like the answer coming out of the teen's mouth.
"Naruto-sama has improved leaps and bounds from the day that I met her," he answered quietly. "A straight fight with her when it comes to fists would be difficult to win since one punch is needed to knock you out. Her other techniques are going on smoothly but she does have a weakness."
Tsuna frowned. "Do you think that she might lose?"
Haku clasped his hands together and looked out to the window. His eyebrows were stitched together into a thin line like he was deeply considering the question. Shouldn't it be a simple yes or no answer? The lack of answer was making him sweat. He looked down at his shaking hands before looking back at Haku.
"She will win easily if her opponent is someone like you or Yamamoto-san," Haku answered. "But if it is someone that can make illusions then she is in real deep trouble. No matter how many times I make an illusion for her…Naruto-sama struggles to realize when she is in. But the chances of her meeting someone that is able to make an illusion is really low."
Tsuna knew that those words should be reassuring to him but it only made his stomach turned. Something told him that Naruto was not going to be so lucky when it came to this fight. I'm just being paranoid again. He shook his head and looked out to the clear blue skies that now reminded him of Naruto's eyes.
She was going to be fine.
Hibari isn't here but I can definitely smell his blood.
The knowledge made her grimaced as her blue eyes fixated on the teenage boy sitting on the chair right in front of her. Even though it was dark, the blonde could see that the boy must be around Hibari's age. He was probably taller than Hibari if his height on that chair was of any indication. The only other thing that stood out about him was his blue pineapple-shaped hair that was probably shorter than Shikamaru's hair.
His heterochromatic eyes were also interesting if you asked Naruto. Is it a Kekkei Genkei? She had never seen a red eye with a number before and there were some weird eye Kekkei Genkei. She thinned her lips. If that was the case then it might be more challenging than she thought. The Byakugan was not a problem for her since she figured out its weakness from fighting Hinata-chan.
But she didn't know what that eye could do.
"Where is Hibari?" Naruto asked, looking away from the boy's red eye. There seemed to be a number one in his eye but what did that mean? She curled her hands into a fist as the older boy chuckled. It felt fake, almost hollow even if you asked her. It was too faint for someone to notice but she had always been good at picking things up.
This boy was laughing but he was not a cheerful person.
"Who knew that the brute would have such a cute little girlfriend?" The boy asked. His tone was a mockery and there was a sadistic gleam in his eyes. Attack him. She should just pull out her kunai but Naruto could feel something was nagging for her to stay in her place. No. It was her knowledge that made her stay in her place.
If she attacked him while she was seething with anger then she would get nowhere.
"Hibari is my ally," she corrected him as her blue eyes darted for any signs of the black-haired boy. Only the scent of his blood clung to this place and that made her grinded her teeth. This was definitely the bastard that hurt him. The bastard had found someway to mortally injured the boy to the point that he bled.
"Kufufu, your eyes says a whole different story," he commented. Naruto grinded her teeth together and the smile on the boy's lips widened as a sadistic gleam shone through his eyes. "Does the skylark bite you every night?"
Blue eyes widened at the suggestive tone leaking out of his tone. She should keep her temper in check. But that bastard was implying the relationship between Hibari and her was sexual. The thought of someone twisting the line made her want to punch a wall but Naruto decided that the punch deserved a different target.
She weaved her hands together into a set of unfamiliar handseals. Ram. Horse. Snake. Dragon. Rat. Ox. Tiger! She exhaled and fire poured out of her lips. The flames came together, weaving and dancing together before meeting together into the shape of a dragon. Her eyes watched blankly as the flames divided once again. Left. Right. Front. Those were all the directions that the flame attacked on the chair.
Soot covered the chair and Naruto stared blankly at the chair. "You really shouldn't have said that."
"You are more dangerous than the skylark," a voice laughed. Blue eyes widened and the blonde jerked her head to the side. Heterochromic eyes gleamed with curiosity as a sense of dread crept up to her. How? She had just seen the attack right in front of her eyes. Naruto knew she did the jutsu properly! She spent hours and days trying to perfect the jutsu that Jiraiya taught her.
"How?" She asked.
The boy laughed. "I will let you guess since you make me so curious."
"That attack should have killed you," she muttered. "But you don't look like someone that has been burnt to death."
He looks perfectly fine. The fact that he sat there on that chair without looking like he had a single burnt mark irritated her. She chewed her tongue and channeled her chakra right at her legs. She dashed straight at him, pulling her fist behind her head and only to blink when the image of him disappeared. She stumbled and her fist slammed to the floor.
The wooden floor splintered and the blonde darted her eyes around. This guy isn't someone like Hibari or the others. The knowledge made her whole body sweat as her blue eyes darted everywhere to find the culprit. Was he in the shadows? In the front? She couldn't tell. The problem of this part of the world was the fact that they didn't have chakra.
It made it difficult for her to sense people out.
"Are you this violent because I ask if your boyfriend likes to bite you every night? He is the one with the biting kink after all" The boy said. Naruto twisted her head around and blinked at the sight of the boy sitting right behind her. "Or are you this violent because you can't find me? I must say for someone with such a tiny body, you are stronger than anybody I met."
"And you are a coward for sitting there, Pervert," Naruto growled. "Are you going to sit there the whole time? Or are you going to fight me? Because I have no problem killing you in that chair as you can see!"
She gestured to the burnt marks on the walls in front of them before gesturing to the rather large hole on the right. If she could just find out where the asshole was then beating him would be easy. He is running away like a damn coward! The thought irritated her and then the blonde paused. Could it be possible that he was using genjutsu?
Closing her eyes, Naruto placed her hand together into the handseal that Jiraiya taught her. This should cancel the genjutsu. She channeled her chakra and opened her eyes. Nothing changed. Naruto frowned. Maybe she had been wrong but the boy was still there. Of course she could try punching him again.
Nodding her head, she channeled her chakra into her legs. One kick should be the answer. She dashed straight to the teen, ready to kick him but only to find that he wasn't there. I used that seal! If this was not genjutsu then what was it? The knowledge was eating her away as her blue eyes tried to find the boy.
"I'm right over here!" The boy mocked and Naruto swirled her head at the teen. "You definitely earned the spot of number one. I can see that the skill level between you and boyfriend are huge but unfortunately for you, you can't kill me."
Naruto grinded her teeth. "You really like talking a lot even though I killed your comrade."
Shouldn't he want to kill her for what she did? The blonde knew that if she had been in his shoes then she would murder the person that killed her comrade. But the bastard was just looking at her with amusement instead of fury. She couldn't even feel one inch of anger from the boy. Nothing. All she could see from him was apathy.
"It is a pity that you killed M.M," he commented. "But she was nothing but a pawn."
Now is my chance. Naruto gathered the chakra into her hand, swirling and twisting it around into a large ball. It took her a whole week to master her father's jutsu with Jiraiya. The Rasengan was supposed to be a powerful assassination technique. She dashed straight at him, ready to smash it against his chest but only to find the ball of energy piercing through a piece of wood.
Splinters stabbed her and the blonde could feel a tickle of exhaustion creeping up on her. With two powerful B and A-rank jutsu alongside my punches and kicks, I'm starting to feel the stain. She should have practiced more with her chakra control. Once this whole thing was over, she was going to go over the chakra control exercise.
"The skylark didn't even think of attacking me while I was talking," the boy commented. "I see that you are more of a natural killer and it seems you killing M.M is more of a benefit for me. You are the more powerful pawn for me."
Naruto stared at him. "And what makes you think I will let you use me?"
H-How can he attack me if he is sitting? Naruto fell down to the ground as a huge stake stabbed her in the leg. Sharp, intense pain flooded her senses. How? When? What? That was the only thing she could think. They had been talking this whole time. She had been trying to attack him. Not once did he indicate that he could do this.
"It feels so real, doesn't it?" He mocked her. The blonde coughed out blood as the blue-haired boy strolled towards her. His heterochronic eyes gleamed with sadistic pleasure and Naruto gazed at him. His red eye still shone with the number one. He is using genjutsu but without chakra. The thought numbed her.
"How?" Naurto asked as another stake stabbed her in the stomach. A single eyebrow was raised at her and the blonde clutched her stomach as blood dribbled down from her lips. "How can you make an illusion without chakra?"
The boy laughed.
"Kufufu, you are so much smarter than your boyfriend," the boy declared, tilting her head up. "He still hadn't realized how I brought those Sakura trees but even if you realize it…it is too late for you. Don't worry I will make sure you have some fun with your boyfriend."
That was his final words to her as another stake slammed into her back. The world around her began to blurred together as her screams echoed throughout the room. The last image that she had was of the boy smiling and kneeling down at her, looking so smug that Naruto wished that she had the strength to beat him up.
I will get you for this.
That was her final thought before she shut her eyes for the final time.
A/N: So how was the chapter? And the interaction between Mukuro and Naruto? Please tell me of your thoughts and I hope that you enjoyed this chapter.
