I'm glad you guys liked the families. There is definitely going to be drama today :D
Sasha's POV
I was stuffing my mouth with the desserts, each tiny bite of chocolate melting quickly into my mouth. My dad also was enjoying the chocolates. It was amazing, each dessert seemed perfect. I was in heaven.
Elias soon walked in, and I begrudgingly put down my dessert. The smaller kids ran around Elias. He laughed slightly. I always wanted a sibling, but I was an only child. I didn't mind, though. That left more room for me.
Elias went to talk to one family, Kahlie's family. I sat and my dad looked at me. "I'm glad your here, Dad." I said, smiling. He smiled too. "How is the Prince treating you?" My dad asked. "He's King now, and he's very nice." I stated simply.
I looked at Emma across the room, who for once was actually not ordering Kahlie around. I didn't know why she was still here, I told Elias the truth but he still kept her. It made my blood boil slightly.
I picked up my dessert again and ate it. A servant went over the Elias and quickly whispered something. He seemed to go pale and nodded. "Ladies and Gentlemen please stay here and enjoy your food, I'll be right back." He said quickly, walking out.
My dad sighed. "Wonder what that was about." He said. I couldn't help but feel worried, because Elias never seemed panicked.
Elias's POV
I quickly walked down the hall, hoping that what the servant said was true. Yet, at the same time I also hoped it wasn't true. When I opened my door to my room, I saw Emilie standing there. She wasn't wearing a Dress like she normally did, instead she was in jeans and a shirt.
"What the heck are you doing here?" I asked, closing my door. Emilie smiled slightly. "I had to come see my brother-" She sighed. "I want to say I'm sorry." She put her hands on a desk.
"Well, you joined the Rebels.." I started, my mind racing. "How are you?" I asked quietly, not sure what else to say. "Alive." Emilie said. "I also have to ask a favor." She said. "What would that be..." I rubbed the bridge of my nose.
"I want you to Select Kahlie."
I looked up at her, both shocked and angry. "She's an important figure, her mother is a Rebel, and if we get Kahlie onto the throne we will at least have some power." Emilie said, I still stared at her.
She gulped slightly. "You can't choose who's going to be on the Throne, only I can. Now I'm not even sure I want her here anymore." I stated dryly. Emilie sighed. "She doesn't even know her mother is a rebel. She's innocent. I'm just asking."
"If your just asking, then my answer is No. I will choose someone because I love them, not because you want to play Rebel to actually have an important job." I spat out, surprised by my own anger.
Emilie seemed surprised too. "Fine." She spat out just as quickly. "Don't say I didn't warn you though." And with that, Emilie left through the balcony. I continued to stare out the window until my head hurt. "Fantastic-" I muttered sarcastically.
Kahlie's POV
It was about 20 minutes until Elias came back in, and he still didn't seem like himself. He continued to talk to each family, putting a smile on his face. Emma walked up to me.
"I think he's going to eliminate someone today-" She said. I frowned. "I don't know, that would be kind of cruel to eliminate someone with their family here." I said quietly. Emma shrugged, obviously not caring.
I sighed and looked at my Dad, who was playing a card game with my siblings. I smiled and joined them. Elias looked over at me. I smiled and waved. He smiled and waved right back at me.
Well.. Drama right? hehe
