The moment the birds started chirping, Cat woke up to look out of her window to look at them. "Robbie! Wake up! The birds are on the tree outside!" Robbie stretched his arms. "Yeah, um..I can't get up, can you help me up on my crutches?" Cat immediately turned around. "Whoops, sorry." Robbie got up on his crutches, scratched his head, and put on his glasses. "So, what do you want to do today?" Cat asked. Robbie looked at both of his crutches. "I don't know, I can't cook while using the crutches, however, I can teach you." Cat clasped her hands together and put them down to her waist. "Actually, I already know how to cook, my parents taught me how to make almost every single Italian food in the book, even though I have a severe allergy to tomatoes." Robbie shook his head in confusion. "Then why do you rely on me to cook for you?" Cat stood on her tip-toes and kissed him on the forehead. "Because it's so nice and romantic of you to make me food, also you're a whole lot better than me at this cooking thing." He bent down and kissed her on her forehead. "You love me a lot, don't you?" Cat hopped onto the bed. "Yeah, more than you'll ever know. I may not always understand why you like me, but know that I love you." Robbie went over to the door. "I love you too, more than anything. How about we go to Venice Beach? Andre and Beck are gonna be there to test out the sports complex." Cat smiled. "Sure. It's gonna be fun. And by the way, we gotta take a shower, and by we, I mean you. You haven't showered since you went to the hospital."

They went into the bathroom to brush their teeth and to take a shower. "Cat, can you help me get undressed? Please, for the love of everything that is good, control yourself, I'm begging you." Cat smirked. "But what if I do?" Robbie untied her ponytail. "Then expect a surprise." Cat took off his shirt and pants, obviously leaving him with his boxers. "Don't even think about it." Cat pouted and pulled out his dick by her hands. "Whoops, my hand slipped." She started to stroke it as Robbie started to lose his balance. "Dammit, Cat! Please stop, I told you not to play with my dick, fuck!" Cat stood back up and took of her clothes and they hopped in the shower together. "Cat, what's that sticky residue in between your boobs there?" She looked down and noticed the residue for the first time. "Good eye, I don't think I've seen it before. It's probably from all the hard candy I keep in there, they probably melted. You wanna taste it, don't you?" Robbie nodded. "Shit, how can I resist that?" Cat giggled. "And you're the one telling me to control myself." He finally realized what he was doing before he stuck his tongue in her cleavage. "Oh yeah. Sorry." He turned on the water and cleaned himself first, then Cat. They dried themselves and got into their clothes. "Let's hit the beach!" Robbie yelled.

They packed a case of water, A towel, some beach toys, and hit the road for 24 minutes to Venice. "Cat, why would you get back together with me? I treated you like shit and left you alone after saying bad things to you, and I'm really sorry." Cat took her other hand off of the wheel and tapped Robbie on the chest twice. "I forgave you, I knew that I wouldn't stay mad at you for long. And everything that you did afterwards showed that you still love me, and I do too." Robbie reclined his seat to elevate his leg more. "Yeah, I guess I still showed a lot of affection towards you. I was pretty insensitive, but you could have just said the song you wrote was about us. If you just said so, we would have never fought. But blame me." Cat pulled over on the highway to get ahold of herself. "Robbie, don't say that anything is your fault. It was both of ours. I lied to you and you fought back. I don't blame you for fighting back, and I shouldn't have lied. Can we please put this behind us? I wanna enjoy the sports complex today, and I don't wanna feel sad or regretful. Let's get back on the road. 13 minutes till we get there." She pulled out and got back to driving.

When they got to the beach, Andre and Beck were waiting for them in the parking lot. "Hey! How are you two?" Beck asked. Cat ran up to them with Robbie trailing slowly. "We're doing fine, thanks for asking. Robbie's hurt." Andre looked behind her. "Yeah, I can tell. What happened?" Robbie finally caught up to them and explained how he got hurt. "After Trevor beat the living balls out of me, he reopened the wound in my abdomen. I got surgery again and I was told not to walk on my right leg. The pressure can reopen the wound, I have to get it checked on by Friday. So, are we just gonna stand here talking or are we gonna watch you two test out the cool new stuff?" Everyone immediately made a dash to the sports complex, and Andre and Beck started with the basketball court. "Okay." Andre looked at his phone for the list of things to do. "We have to test the durability and rate each one on a scale from one to five. You guys know I'm getting paid 1000 bucks for this? And I get to bring a friend and go to every event here for free." Cat started to wipe off her sweat. "It's getting really hot in this area, guys. Robbie, do you just wanna go to the beach? I just don't wanna stay here for most of the day and only get a couple of minutes of beach time. Please?" Cat gave him her innocent face. "Okay, fine. Sorry guys, I don't want her to get bored, you know what she does when she gets bored. See you guys on Monday."

Cat and Robbie went across the boardwalk and down to the beach. Since Robbie couldn't do much, he just laid down on a towel. Cat's tongue started to get dry. "Robbie, I'm just gonna go to the car to get some water and the water gun." Robbie flipped over so that she can hear him better. "Yeah, sure. Here are the keys." After Cat got what she wanted from the car, one guy went up to her. "Hi, I couldn't help but to notice you. You're really pretty." Cat looked behind her back. "Hi! Thanks for noticing. What's your name?" The guy smiled and ran his fingers through his hair. "Yeah, my name's Kevin. How about you?" Cat giggled. "My name's Cat. Listen, it was nice meeting you and all, but I have to get back-" Kevin started to talk over her. "Come on, can't we just stay here and talk? You're a fine little thing." Cat's mood started to swing. "Sorry, I have a boyfriend." Kevin looked around. "But he isn't here, is he?" Cat walked away but Kevin kept on catching up. "Can you please get away? I'm already in a relationship with someone else, I'm sorry, you look really nice, but I'm not the one for you." Kevin kissed her on the lips. "Ew, man! What the hell?! I told you to back off!" Kevin scoffed. "Was that better than your boyfriend's kisses?" Cat started to get annoyed. "No, he kisses me with love and affection, you just did it because I'm just an object to be won! Fuck off and get back!"

Cat ran back to Robbie. "Hey, what took you so long?" Robbie asked, smiling. Cat threw everything on the ground in anger. "You wanna know what happened? Some guy was complimenting me creepily and then kissed me!" Robbie sat back up. "Are we safe, because I don't wanna end up in the hospital again." Cat wrapped her arms around him. "Yes, we are, but I'm tired of people seeing me as just another pretty face and nothing else. You and the rest of the gang know me better than that." They laid down on the towel at the same time. "That's what I love about you guys. You don't talk down to me, you treat me normally." Cat stood back up, took off her shirt and shorts to reveal her swimsuit, and then she blasted Robbie with her water gun. "How was that, baby?" She said, laughing. Robbie started to wipe his glasses off forcefully. "If I were able to get back up, I would get you back way harder than that." Cat shot at him again. Robbie took her water bottle and dumped all the water on her. "Well, I guess revenge wasn't that hard after all." Cat put down her water gun. "Robbie, that was so fun!" He threw her clothes at her. "It was. It's 12:00 now, do you just wanna go home? We can buy stuff at the grocery store, you can cook something, you said you can cook every Italian food in the book." Cat put her clothes back on. "I actually mastered my nonna's recipe for a calzone. It's amazing, I think you'll like it. We just need to buy the almond flour, bleached and all purpose masks the flavor of the cheese and meat inside." Robbie glanced at his watch again. "Yeah, that sounds great. Can you help me up?" Cat cheerfully picked him and the towel up and walked straight to the car.

When Cat was driving, she didn't feel like making another stop and she really wanted to spend time with Robbie at home. "Robbie, I'm actually pretty hungry, I don't think I can last that long to cook." Robbie sighed. "You aren't talking about actual food right?" Cat went on another talking frenzy. "Yes and no. Look, I can't help it. I've always been filled with emotion, if you're not able to cook, I guess we can just order stuff and chill for the rest of the day, I really wanna spend time with you, like watching a movie or something without it turning into a sex session. I love you so much, I really do, but I don't think we're ready for kids yet. Let's see, I was born in June, you were born in November, so we're both 16 now, we're about to turn 17 soon. See, we're too young and immature to have kids." Robbie moved his seat closer to the dashboard. "But aren't you on birth control? And even if you aren't, we can use condoms." Cat went up the exit and braked hard. "I am on birth control, but even though it's small, there's still a chance I can be impregnated. And you never know with a condom. It can always tear. But I know you can be a good father. You take good care of me."

When they got home, Robbie called the pizza place and ordered a large cheese and two bottles of orange soda. Cat's mom texted her for the first time in a while.

Hi, Cat. How are you and Robbie?-mother

Cat smiled at the text message, she finally knew that her mom was fine with them dating.

We're doing good, mom.-me

Are you taking your meds on the counter?-mother

No, they're not even mine, they're for my brother, Shannon.-me

Cat, we know your brother's name. And those are your autism meds, you have to take them, you don't wanna be all spazzy.-mother

Autism? I don't have autism, I don't even think I'm on the spectrum.-me

You were diagnosed eight months ago by Dr. Clarkson, when you were in that padded room. Please take your meds.-mother

I don't remember him at all, mom.-me

You need a picture, that's one of your symptoms, you forget people. You promised me and her that you wouldn't tell anyone about your condition.-mother

Her mom sent the picture of her with her arm around Dr. Clarkson and the memories started to flood back. She wanted to tell Robbie, but she still wanted her condition to be unknown.

I remember now, thanks, mom.-me

Anytime. I just wanted to check in, making sure you were okay.-mother

Cat went to charge her phone and she took her meds under the counter, hidden from Robbie. "Cat, pizza's gonna be here in a couple of minutes, get the money ready, I put it on the coffee table!" Cat stood back up. "Yeah, okay!" When the pizza came, she set it on the dining table and called Robbie to come over. One of her meds took care of her hyperactivity, so she was acting like she was a lesser version than herself, and Robbie definitely took notice. "Cat, why are you feeling down, you were so excited at the beach, what just happened?" She didn't wanna tell him what was going on and stuffed another slice in her mouth. "It's nothing, really. I just feel tired after what happened. Turn on the TV, let's watch a couple of movies." They blew by the rest of the day just watching movies, and Cat went to sleep in Robbie's lap. As she was sleeping, she was having a hard time deciding whether or not to tell Robbie about her autism. I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow morning, Cat thought.

Author's note: her condition will be expounded on next chapter.
