Chapter 17: The Truth Comes Out

Kali gasped and spun around to see her mother and step-father standing there. "Kali are you alright?" Simba asked, the concern clear in his voice.

"Uh yeah I'm fine dad," Kali said quickly, not wanting her mother and step-father to ask too many questions. "I'm doing just fine as you can see. No need to worry." Simba and Nala stared at Kali to see if she was lying or not. And it was clear that she was lying.

"Kali," Nala began.

"Yes, mom?" Kali said, not liking the looks her parents were giving her.

"You've never been a good liar to us," Nala said. "And don't even both trying to lie to us. Now, are you alright?"

"Yes I'm doing fine," Kali said quickly, and also somewhat annoyed.

"Kali we're gonna sit here forever until you tell us the truth," Simba said. "You're not telling us the truth. You're lying to us. Now, are you alright?"

"Like I said before dad," Kali said, starting to lose her patients. "I'm just fi-" But as Kali tried to finish, she felt a kick in her belly, causing her to close her eyes tight and groan in pain.

"Kali!" both Simba and Nala cried out, running over to their daughter.

"Kali honey are you alright?" Nala asked, gently rubbing her daughter's back.

"No," Kali said shaking her head as she felt another kick. "My belly has been hurting." Just then the kick came back, causing her to groan in pain once more.

"Do you want to go to Rafiki Kali?" Simba asked.

"No I should be okay dad," Kali said, now looking at her step-father and smiling at him.

"Are you sure?" Simba asked, still not sure.

"Yeah I'm sure," Kali said with a smile. Then suddenly Zazu came onto the scene looking frantic.

"Sire! Sire! Emergency!" the hornbill cried out, his eyes wide.

"What's wrong Zazu?!" Simba cried out, alarmed at the hornbill's appearance.

"It's Kopa and Kibwe!" Zazu cried out. "They're having a fight at the watering hole!"

"What?!" both Simba and Nala cried out.

"Oh no," Kali gasped her eyes wide.

"We've got to stop them!" Simba cried out as he and Nala ran with Zazu. "Kali I need you to return to Pride Rock!"

"But dad," Kali began.

"Kali just do what I say and go back!" Simba called. "I'll explain later!" Kali nodded and walked back to Pride Rock. She knew that Kopa and Kibwe were gonna fight because of Kopa's reaction earlier to finding out Aisha being blackmailed. She prayed that things get solved correctly.

Meanwhile, at the watering hole, Kopa and Kibwe were facing off against each other. The two lions circled each other baring their teeth and extending their claws. "Do you honestly think you can beat me, Kopa?" Kibwe growled, shaking his brown mane out of his eyes. "Think again."

"I'm gonna rip you to pieces!" Kopa snarled, his sea-green eyes gleaming with hatred. "You can make this very easy on yourself Kibwe! All you've got to do is stop blackmailing Aisha and I'll let you live!"

"You know Kopa?" Kibwe growled. "You're very weak and pathetic. I'll show you who's boss in this fight." With that Kibwe let out a furious roar and charged towards Kopa, his claws extended. Kopa did nothing and waited until Kibwe was close enough, and dodged him by jumping to the side, as Kibwe went sprawling to the ground. Letting out a roar of frustration, he charged towards Kopa again, only to be in the ground again as Kopa dodged him again. Kopa then stopped and looked back at Kibwe, a low growl erupting from his throat.

"You're just dodging me, Kopa," Kibwe growled. "Show me what skills you've got."

"I'll show you alright?" Kopa growled. "I've got some skills in training with my mother. So I'll damn show you what I've damn got." With that Kibwe let out a furious roar and charged towards Kopa his claws extended. Kopa let out a furious roar and charged towards Kibwe his claws also extended. However before either lion could make contact a voice boomed out, "Stop right there!" Both males stopped, shocked at the sudden outburst. They turned to see Simba coming onto the scene along with Nala and Zazu.

"Alright what the hell is going on here?!" Simba shouted looking at the two lions.

"Your step-son tried to kill me, King Simba!" Kibwe cried out. "He just randomly attacked me! For no freaking reason! He's crazy! He's got some serious anger issues!"

"No reason?!" Kopa shouted. "No reason?!" Are you freaking stupid you piece of shit?! You're blackmailing my sister to damn marry you! You're threatening my mother and forcing my sister to damn marry you!"

"Is this true Kibwe?" Simba asked looking at the sandy brown lion.

"No!" Kibwe cried out. "That's false! Kopa is just your damn crazy step-son that just wants to kill me! Like I said he's damn crazy!"

"You're the damn liar you piece of shit!" Kopa shouted furiously. "Ask Kali she'll tell you the truth! Or better yet ask Aisha yourself she'll damn tell you!"

"We should settle this at Pride Rock," Simba declared.

"Oh, Simba why the hell do we have to settle it there?" Kopa said with annoyance, also glaring at Kibwe. "Why can't we just settle it here?"

"Kopa it's better if we settle it there," Simba said. "And plus were disturbing some birds in nearby trees." Simba was referring to the nearby trees.

"Ugh whatever," Kopa muttered, rolling his sea-green eyes. "Let's just get this damn over with." With that, the group went back to Pride Rock. As they were heading back, Kopa glared at Kibwe the entire time.

When the group got back to Pride Rock they saw Kali going inside the cave. "Kali," Simba called, causing Kali to stop dead in her track. "Can we talk to you for a second?"

"Uh... sure," Kali said, walking over to where the group is. Kopa and Kibwe were glaring at each other and their teeth were bared.

"Kali," Nala began. "Kopa and Kibwe were fighting a little while ago. Kopa says it's because Kibwe is blackmailing Aisha into marrying him. And he also said that you would know the truth. Is what Kopa said true?"

"Well," Kali began. But before Kali could continue she saw Aisha coming onto the scene along with Kiara. Aisha had returned from her walk after what happened earlier with Kibwe

"What's going on here?" Aisha asked, confused.

"I'd like to know that too," a voice said. The group spun to see Chaka, Kamaria, and Nadia standing at the entrance of the cave, confused looks on their faces.

"Well Aisha we all know what Kibwe has been doing to you," Kali informed her sister.

"Aisha honey is what you're brother and sister saying true?" Nala asked her daughter.

"I..I," Aisha stammered nervously looking at Kibwe, who was glaring at her. Kopa noticed this and said, "He won't stop doing what he's been doing to you if you don't say anything. Please, Aisha. Please say something. Has Kibwe been blackmailing you?"

Aisha looked at the group and then looked at her parents. Then the golden lioness spoke, "Yes it's true," she said softly. "Kibwe has been blackmailing me."

"What?!" Kopa shouted, outraged.

"Kopa honey calm down," Nala said gently. "You're scaring your sister." Kopa looked at Aisha who was shaking in fear.

"Oh I'm sorry Aisha," Kopa said softly. "I didn't mean to shout like that."

"No it's ok," Aisha said. "There's more anyway."

"There's more?" Kopa said his eyes wide.

"Yes," Aisha said softly. Then in a high pitched voice, she said, "Kibwe threatened to kill anyone I love. But because you guys are here I have the strength to tell you guys what Kibwe has done to me. Kibwe he... he raped me."

"What?!" Nala shouted. Kopa eyes then laid on Kibwe and he bared his teeth at him.

"No!" Kibwe cried out. "She's lying! We did mate but I didn't rape her!"

"I'm gonna kill you son of a bitch!" Kopa roared, charging for Kibwe.

"Kopa no!" Aisha cried out, getting in front of her brother. "He's not worth it. In fact, there's more."

"More?" Kopa groaned. "What else could there be?"

"Go on honey," Nala said gently.

"I'm pregnant," Aisha said looking down in shame. "I found out a month ago."

"Honey, why didn't you tell me this?" Nala asked, shocked that her daughter would keep something like this from her.

"Because mom," Aisha said. "I just feel too shamed about this whole thing. And he threatened to kill you if I even said anything. But because you guys are here I have the strength to tell you guys."

"Wait Kibwe did all of that to you?" Chaka asked confused.

"Yes he did Chaka," Aisha said softly.

"Well there's most certainly more you guys need to hear," Kali said.

"There's more?!" Kopa said his eyes growing wide. "What else could there be?!"

"Oh, Kopa you are not going to like what I'm about to say," Kali said. "Chaka you should hear this too."

"Oh?" Chaka said raising an eyebrow. "And what's that?"

"Remember when you always said that you couldn't remember who slammed your head against the wall in the gorge?" Kali asked.

"Yeah," Chaka said. "I just don't remember that part at all. I never got to see the face."

"Well Chaka you most certainly won't believe what you'll hear," Kali said. "You too Kopa. But I'm going to say it now. Kibwe was the one that slammed your head numerous amount of times in that gorge Chaka."

"That's a damn lie!" Kibwe boomed, glaring at Kali.

"It's not a damn lie you piece of shit!" Kali shouted. "I heard you! I heard you say that you were the one that slammed Chaka's head numerous amount of times against the gorge wall!"

"What?!" Kopa shouted furiously. "I damn knew it! I freaking knew that you had something to damn do with my brother losing his memories in the first place!"

"I did no such thing!" Kibwe declared, pretending to be outraged. Then he turned to Chaka, who had a strange look on his face. "Chaka you surely don't believe this nonsense do you?" Chaka started to speak but suddenly he let out a cry and passed out cold, falling to the ground.

"Chaka!" both Nala and Kopa cried out in fear, running over to Chaka's body. Kamaria and Nadia watched their eyes wide in horror as they saw Chaka pass out cold.

"Chaka honey can you hear me?" Nala whispered as she gently nuzzled her oldest boy. Just then Chaka let out a low groan and began to stir.

"Chaka?" Kopa whispered his brother's ear. "Chaka fam can you hear us?" Chaka let out another groan and weakly opened his eyes.

"Oh, Chaka thank goodness your alright," Nala breathed as she nuzzled her oldest boy.

"Chaka bro are you alright?" Kopa asked, the concern clear in his voice. Chaka looked at his brother and then looked at his mother. Then he opened his mouth to respond.
