Disclaimer: It's Marvel owned, I got Dara Yates

HYDRA DC Headquarters, Ideal Federal Savings Bank

"This scripture will be done interpretation by tomorrow Ms Yates, or we will put you thought the same machine we just did the Winter Soldier."

"What did you do to him?"

"I'm sure you have already figured it out." he said between his strides out the door. He left her to Zabo, Thugly and some others agents.

"I personally do not put faith in that machine. There are holes in that method of wiping someone, as you noticed earlier, simply saying his name had him fighting the programing."

"What HYDRA has done is despicable." she spat out at him from her seat at the same table. Her rib, back of head, throat, and collar bone were aching. And she was upset to the stomach with what she had just witnessed.

"Such acts are required for bettering the evolution of human kind." he informed her. She felt another warning go off in her head. The man knows the gist of these scriptures. "Much like yourself, as human with the x-gene. You are already the next level of evolution. These instructions will help do the same to others. Its affects will benefit our world greatly."

"No it will not. Have you noticed how mutants are treated, hunted down?"

"Ah, yes. That is true. However, by tomorrow night, this US coast will be cleansed of people that are a threat to HYDRA's goals, and that power of fear will control the treatment of mutants, who can then rise above their status to work with HYDRA."

Gritting her teeth, Dara read the scripture that reminded her again why that is a terrible misjudgment on this man. He doesn't know what will happen if Inhuman population increases on Midgard. "Fear calls forward for resistance, it's a cycle that cannot be broken. You fear inferiority, and it clashes with your ambition, which will result in disaster."

"Why ever should that stop us. Morality is a weakness."

"It is a human trait, do not discount it." Leaning back slightly in her seat, she tilted her head. "Who is your Inhuman contact?"

"Ah, so we were correct in assuming you had a faster learning curve since your father last tested you." He was giddy to find out more now. "The contact is not of your concern."

"Actually it is indeed. I am the liaison for the Avengers given my non-threatening status and power. Therefore an alien on Midgard, has so far come through me. Which means the Avengers were not informed about Inhumans by SHIELD and HYDRA. So how about I talk to your contact?" she tried again.

Zabo was pondering, she has had good training. Probably from the Black Widow. "You already know what these scriptures are for, and this is your bargain to finish the interpretation." he noted while stroking his lip.

Keep cool, Dara. "As I said before, simply translating is not enough, talking to one and asking about certain parts of this will help. But now that I think about it. You wouldn't need me if that person knows the languag…" She sighed with a small smirk "Its an older dialect for the Inhumans, or maybe more of the alien dialect."

"And that alien language would be?" he asked.

"How would I know? This is the third alien I am meeting after an Asgardian and Dark Elf."

This was her fib and he will need her to cooperate, so hurting her will not help. Much.

Quinjet

"I have tracked down the STRIKE team to this bank." Tony said pointing to it.

"Let's go now." said Steve.

"You can't go now. The element of surprise when we come for Pierce will be gone."

"They will try to move her when they are alerted that the project Insight is being destroyed. That is when we can get her. They wont expect a rescue group from Stark and Banner." reminded Fury. "They want her alive, she is an asset to them in figuring out how to create more Inhumans. That is what my agents figured out is the work of The Doctor."

"Yes, we figured it out too, Fury." said a cocky Stark.

"Dara knows already, she holds the cards, they may go easy on her."

"Not for longer if they lose their patience. Which will happen when they find out Insight didn't lift off the ground." noted Hill.

"They might even put her through what they did to Barnes." Nat whispered. She was worried that is what they might do. There was silence.

"No, that could affect her power." Bruce assumed.

"We don't know, but the point is that these plans must happen simultaneously." stated Fury. He got up with a slight groan. "Be prepared for tomorrow. Banner you might want to stay as you are incase she needs medical aid. With this HYDRA issue I can't send in medics for you."

"Its alright, we got this." Tony was confident in himself and Bruce. Hulk growled lightly, upset he couldn't help. "You keep him fast and strong Big Guy. For Dar. Ok?"

"For Dar."

Hill and Fury were still impressed with what the Avengers had accomplished with Doctor Banner. Dara was a surprise, too bad she denied working with them full time. It was for the best, given where she is right now.

Sometimes people can tell when something is about to happen. They have honed their senses to pick up such human triggers. Dara had to learn it from Nat, who thought a ghost hunting scenario in an abandoned building was a good idea. She couldn't sleep without having Steve on speaker phone or staying over in the penthouse for that night.

This was one of those moments where she knew something was coming. The best option she could think of was getting into a situation where she is around only one agent instead of many. Bathroom break. Getting up she went to Thugly and raised her brows. He blinked and opened the door.

"You keep giving me water instead of food. Its your fault." she joked.

While Dara had done that, Zabo was in another room watching the start of Insight project. Incoming silently were Tony and Bruce. Jarvis made quick work of starting the fight against Zola's protection. Bruce accidentally Hulked out when a bullet got him in the leg. Tony swore and moved faster inside the halls. He told Hulk to make a hole and go down a level.

They had split up to cover more ground. When she heard the disturbance echoing in the bank vaults, Dara quickly finished squeezing into the supply closet, waiting for Thugly to come through.

When he did, he saw the ventilation shaft door open, the water running, and then a pounding headache from something heavy and metallic hitting the back of his head. He fell forwards as Dara jumped onto him, her hand going to his neck, putting him to sleep.

Good thing he had already announced she had escaped the bathroom.

Calvin Zabo is smart, he decide to use this attack on both the hellicarriers and this facility to get out of here. Getting those on his team he made the exit with one of them running back to get the scriptures. He got half the clue from Dara, he knows its disjointed but working with his associate will make some progress, they can get her another day.

Running out of the room, Dara moved towards the ventilation and let out a roar. It was the best she could do to signal Hulk.

Hulk swiftly stopped his approach to change direction and punch through another level of the ground.

"DAR!" he roared when he found her. Tony felt relief for that moment, they got her. He started working on collecting information. Even as Zola was working on deleting it. But Jarvis is very advanced, he was winning that fight.

"Hurry, get her out of here and let Bruce check on her." Tony told Hulk. The Green Titan picked her up, tucking her into his side as he started bashing his way out of there again. This time with a shortcut that she shouted at him.

"Hulk, Dar, out." he told Tony and jumped up to the Quinjet.

"I'm alright, Hulk, go back and fight." He looked unsure, but listened to her and went back down to capture or kill the HYDRA agents. That got the agents off Tony's back, he couldn't keep them from escaping.

Dara greeted Jarvis happily as she sat down on the flight seat, watching the screen to see what was happening. When she spied on the screen the team of Zabo, she had an idea.

"Hey Jarvis could you please shoot down that group over there, I need what is in that case."

"Yes, Ms Yates. May I say it's a pleasure to have you onboard safe."

"My pleasure to hear your voice again, Monsieur Jarvis." she smiled as she watched him get the group to split up, shot the case out of the man's hand. Dara watched as an iron legion got the case and took out those around. Calvin still made it out, but he was angry to have lost his scriptures. He glared up at the aloft jet. He will succeed. They will keep an eye on the remaining SHIELD to see if they get the scriptures including the interpretation.

Turning he got into the car that drove away with speed and left car crashes behind.

Hospital, DC

"Oh Steve." Dara slowly stroked his wet blonde hair.

They were in the hospital. She was just now allowed inside, after he went through some surgery to stop his bleeding wounds. Sam was outside with the others. Wiping away her tears, she sniffed, and leaned closer to kiss his unmarred forehead on the right.

"I'm so glad you made it out." Sitting down on the chair, she held his hand delicately. "You know I saw someone, an old friend of yours, at that HYDRA base. It was Bucky."

Being brought to tears she whispered what had happened with him. "I hope you can forgive me for getting him wiped again. I am sorry I couldn't help him more. But we will find him, help him, I promise."

Hearing a knock on the door, she sniffed and wiped her fears away, allowing entrance.

"He will look better in a week." Sam reassured her. Nodding to him Dara looked back at Steve.

"You know he will be relieved that you didn't badly hurt while with HYDRA." Sam whispered. He has been very worried too. Shaking her head, Dara gently touched her bandaged forehead.

"It could have been worse if I stayed there longer. I didn't think I could postpone longer while still cooperating a small amount."

"Yeah, Nat said that your training would help you only so far."

"I wish she were here so I could thank her with a big hug. I couldn't have survived without all her tricks and tips."

"I think she knows, she is cocky sometimes."

They both laughed, and Dara watched as Sam put on some music. They stayed seated in a silent vigil.

Bruce and Tony had returned to New York to help SHIELD with the fallout that happened there too. IT seemed to happen at every SHIELD base. The Bus was not better off either. The HYDRA agents there had been informed by Calvin what had happened in DC. Time to come out of the woodworks.

HYDRA was alive in public again.

Outside Steve's Apartment, DC

It was moving day. At least that is what the Winter Soldier was assuming as he watched the Captain and the Girl carrying out boxes to the truck on the side of the road.

The Girl stopped at the truck after putting in something, taking out her phone. She smiled with whom she was talking to, and then her smile changed at seeing Captain, Steve, come down the stairs. The man had the same smile on his face as he passed her to the back of the truck.

The wounds were gone in the two weeks out of the hospital. In that time Bucky had been to the Museum to see the Howling Commando's exhibition. There he had found his story and images. Also there had been the Girl. He had seen recognition on her face when she spied him.

At first he had been about to escape, but then he noticed the tears in her eyes and lack of sending out a warning signal on her phone. Slowly she approached the cinema room and looked at him, patting the seat beside her.

13 minutes later, he was sitting beside her. Ignoring the tears that had slipped into her tissue as she apologized to him for what had happened, he stopped her. It was HYDRA's fault, they didn't have to do a lot of things to him. It had set him uneasy when the Girl had reached over and put her hand on his own. No one touches him that way. It was strange and uncomfortable.

She had called him Bucky and he jerked away. Then she called him James. He didn't mind that name. When she suggested he come with her to get help from her friends, he declined. HYDRA will want to capture him again, and it wont be safe with the others. He wants answers, and deal with his freedom. After some contemplation, she gave him a number on a paper, told him to come to her when he is ready, she will meet him at the house of the address on the other side of the paper. It was an address in San Francisco.

With a hand squeeze she parted ways with him, leaving one advice. Don't run from the past, and don't be afraid to rediscover one self again.

On the paper she also wrote that he close his ears the moment he heard the first trigger word and punch the person in the throat, or close his ears and hum a loud tune drowning the words out. That advice he will carry with him strongly. He doesn't want to be an Asset anymore.

His eyes went back to the Captain and Girl. They were sharing a kiss now, before he opened the door for her. Her eyes looked out and roved over him. A surprised look came upon her face, but she didn't alert the Captain. With a small smile she raised her hands and signed 'Good luck, friend.'

Friend. He is her friend. He can trust her.
