Epilogue
Across the last few months Ranger and I had forged a strong partnership together, in our lives and at work. I had initially had some concerns that we would get sick of each other, working and living together as we do. Luckily our paths didn't cross too much in the workday. I was mostly shmoozing corporate clients off site or in the conference room and Ranger was heading up the Jacks, slotting in wherever needed. He loved the variety of his day to day life, and he really enjoyed that I did more paperwork than he did. I still didn't wear pantyhose to work.
6 months after Ranger's return to life, Ranger and I got married on a beach in the Maldives. We flew out his family and mine, as well as a fair few of our Rangemen nearest and dearest. Julie came with Rachel. Julie was my bridesmaid, she hummed sex bomb walking down the aisle. Hal was my best man. Tank was Ranger's. It wasn't conventional, but nor are we.
I could wax lyrical about the flowers and the cake and my dress, but the truth is all of that was just window dressing. I was excited about the wedding, but it was the marriage that I wanted.
We had paid for 2 weeks holiday for everyone, including a 5* all-inclusive hotel complete with private beach huts. We spent the first week with everyone but after our wedding we flew to Thailand for our honeymoon. We spent a month travelling around the country. Naturally Hal and Tank came with us to watch our six. We rode motorbikes and went to an Elephant sanctuary. We watched thai kickboxing live. We had thai cookery classes and visited local historical towns and monuments. We had sex on a few beaches and drank a few sex on the beaches. After the best month of my life, it was time to come home.
Unbeknownst to us all of us at the time, we came home a party of 5.
On our return from our honeymoon, I started to feel ill. I peed on a stick and voila, BatBaby was on the way. We were both incredibly excited. After much discussion, we decided to move to the Batcave. To ease the commute, Ranger and I both work from home occasionally. My pregnancy has ended my street days, for now, but I was ok with that. Bombshell will be back one day.
Well, I can't really believe it. I've totted up all the words I have written recently…just shy of 75,000 in 3 weeks! Starting with Kidnapped, Alibi, Blind, then finishing PFE and then Bombshell. Which was your favourite and why?
Thank you so much for your support. I've had over 1000 reviews from you all across the stories, I've read each and every review. Thanks also for the PMs. You've all been a great support. It's an odd time in the world, but I'm finally back to work next week so I'll have less time for writing, but one day I'll be back again I'm sure.
Thanks again, Heather.
