The chaos that had ensued earlier that day had finally calmed down for the students. Although reporters kept buzzing around the story, and the mysterious 'Armored Maiden,' it had seemed like things would soon go back to normal. Per Bulla and Pan's request, Class 1A kept quiet about Bullan and any events related to a fusion among students. For their safety, they decided to leave particular details out when explaining the situation to Hanamura and Takado. Regardless, that didn't stop them from being any less excited.
"I can't believe someone like that exists!" Takado said. "A girl who's so close to our age that can shake a building with a single hit! Incredible!"
"I know!" Hanamura chimed in. "I wonder if she's a UA student in disguise!"
"Yeah, wouldn't that be crazy..." Pan told her. "The Armored Maiden. Quite a chivalrous name, don't you think?"
"Tell me about it. Seems a bit medieval for my taste." We can't tell them her name was Bullan. I know they're younger than us but there could be a chance of them catching on! "Bulla, I'm going to go take a shower." Pan told her as she grabbed some clothes and exited the room.
"You know, you were really cool, too, Bulla!" Hanamura suddenly said, catching her attention.
"Huh...?"
"Yeah! I heard that when everyone else was scared, you took the lead and fought those villains all by yourself!" Takado followed. "Even though you got really badly hurt, you still fought on until the Armored Maiden got there!"
"Wait, what?!" Bulla shouted as she pulled out her phone in a panic, searching articles for the USJ Incident.
"Didn't you know...? I thought you would have seen the articles." Hanamura asked her, turning to her bunkmate.
"No! I normally don't look at articles of events I'm in, since I know what happened and don't expect them to write about me!" Bulla said as she pulled up the article, reading it aloud. "One student in particular, Bulla Brief, stood against the odds and directed her class until the very end. Despite sustaining the heaviest injuries, she proudly stood on the front of the Class 1A Counter-Assault. Fellow classmates describe her as strong and courageous, fitting of her place as the Class Representative."
"Yeah, that's the one!" Takado confirmed with a smile. "Isn't that great?"
With a slow nod, Bulla dropped to her knees. "Honestly... It's one of the nicest things anybody's ever said about me..." As she continued to read on, the final line of the article read, 'Whereabouts of the Armored Maiden are still unconfirmed.' Even though the police were crawling around that place, I'm glad we managed to transform back when only the class was looking... She thought with a sigh of relief.
It wasn't long before Pan finished her shower and allowed Bulla to take her's. Once Takado and Hanamura were asleep, the two sat on Pan's bed and looked down at the Potara Earrings. "It's crazy... Right?" Pan asked.
"Yeah... I still can't wrap my head around it..." Bulla responded. "I remember Trunks talking about the fusion of two warriors, it was something like..."
"The Metamorphosis Dance!" Pan said suddenly. "I remember Uncle Goten talking about that, too!"
"No, it was...Meta...Metamor..." Slamming her fist onto her palm, she remembered the name. "Metamoran! It was called the Metamoran Fusion, and they performed it with a dance."
"How did the dance go?" Pan asked her, prompting Bulla to shrug her shoulders.
"I was hoping you'd know." Bulla told her disappointingly as Pan threw her head backwards onto her bed.
"Man, that blows!" She whined.
"To be fair, I think Bullan will be plenty with the earrings. I mean, all we have to do is put the earrings on when we're in a pinch and we're set." Bulla explained, holding an earring out in front of her.
"Well, let's try not to rely on them. We were so powerful, but I want us to be that powerful on our own. Then, if there's ever anything that stands in our way again, with our new combined powers... Man, we'd be unstoppable..." Pan thought about the image of mowing down bad guys with an fathomable level of strength.
"To be honest, I felt like we were endangering the planet with each hit. Like if we weren't careful, one attack could have obliterated the city." Bulla told her. "And Bullan was so...violent, and full of hate..."
"Yeah, but we'll be calmer next time we need to fuse." Pan told her with a smile. "You know, I remember stories my dad used to tell us. I think, the way he described it, Bullan might have been stronger than your dad when he first got to Earth!"
"Not that it's saying much, now. With the strength he had before everything went to the gutter, I bet he would have been able to destroy a galaxy by now." Bulla told her as she crawled into her bed. "We can talk about this in the morning. Goodnight, Pan."
"Goodnight, Bulla." Pan told her as she turned off the lamp and turned over to face the wall. Several minutes of imagining how her father's fights must have been kept her awake, until she finally drifted to sleep with a smile.
The following morning, Bulla awoke to a series of notifications on her phone. Taking a lot, she had received several messages from Yaoyorozu related to an attached news article. Opening the attached link, her eyes widened. 'League of Villains escape from custody!' "No!" She said to herself as she jumped out of bed and got dressed. Throwing on a blue thigh-length dress with a white turtleneck underneath, she secured her figure with a thin white belt. Putting on some matching blue flats, Bulla grabbed her school notebook and called her friend.
"Oh, Bulla, good morning. I take it that you saw my message?" She greeted.
"Yeah. Momo, is there anyway you can meet up with me today?" Bulla asked.
"So suddenly? What's going on?"
"Could you please just meet me at this cafe not too far from the school? I can send you the name of it, I just need your company." Explaining how she felt, Momo was silent for a moment.
"Yes, of course. I'll be there in an hour, an hour-and-a-half at the latest. I'll see you soon."
An hour passed, and Bulla waited in the cafe, pouring creamer and sugar into her coffee. Looking at several miscellaneous articles, she didn't even notice when Yaoyorozu finally approached. "This is a nice little cafe, Bulla." She told her with a smile. Yaoyorozu decided to wear a long yellow sundress with white floral patterns, and a large yellow sunhat.
"Momo! I'm glad you could come." She told her, returning the smile as she opened her notebook. "How's your head feeling?"
Her friend giggled, and lifted her large bang, revealing a small scar on her head. "Nothing that'll hold me back."
"I'm sorry. I wish I could have done more to help you..." Bulla confessed as her head hung low.
"Enough of all that." Yaoyorozu took Bulla's hand and looked down at her. "You were incredible. And if it wasn't for you, we may not even be here right now. So thank you." Bulla couldn't help but smile after hearing her words. "Now, tell me why you wanted me to come out here so suddenly."
"I wanted you to come with me today because I wanted to perform a wellness check on everybody." With Bulla's explanation, Yaoyorozu's eyes widened before smiling again.
"That's our class representative for you. Always watching out for the class. Alright, do you have everyone's addresses?"
Nodding, Bulla opened her notebook. "When I was getting briefed on the schedule for the USJ training in the teacher's lounge, I may have took a peek at the student files for our class. I jotted them down in alphabetical order, so we're going to see Aoyama and Ashido first, then Asui and Bakugo, and so on."
"Alright, then. Lead the way." Yaoyorozu said as the two went outside.
"Oui, mademoiselle. Merci très beaucoup for stopping by to check on my son." Mrs. Aoyama had said, bowing her head with her hands on her lap. Her French accent was a clear explanation for Aoyama's French tendencies. "Say, you're Bulla Brief, aren't you?"
"Yes, Ma'am, that's correct. UA Hero Course Class 1A Representative, Bulla Brief, and Class Deputy, Momo Yaoyorozu." Bulla explained as Mrs. Aoyama smiled.
"He's been talking so much about you lately. Right now, he's out with his father, so he can't confirm for me, but he was so scared when the villains attacked. He said that one of your classmates, Tokoyami, had done most of the fighting when you all were separated. But your actions inspired him, and I see him doing more good day-to-day, helping kids who are being bullied, and I couldn't be happier." She explained. "Please, would you stay for some tea?"
Bulla raised her hand and waved it to the side. "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Aoyama, we can't. We have an entire class to check on and this was our first stop."
"I see, it's understandable. But please, tell me," she said, "your Quirk is Lasers, isn't it?"
Bulla's eyes widened hearing about it. "Yes, Ma'am, that's correct." What has he been saying about me?
"You see, I'm sure you've noticed, but mon enfant's Quirk is Navel Laser. Ever since it surfaced, it's always dripped out of his belly button. If you could help him out, it'd mean le monde à moi." She explained. "I'm sure it'd make him happy to not have to wear that belt everywhere."
"I'll see what I can do, Mrs. Aoyama. Thank you so much for your time." Bulla told her with a bow as she and Yaoyorozu left her home. Ashido's home visit passed just as fast as Aoyama's, and the two now stood outside of the Asui home. Ringing the doorbell, Tsuyu Asui opened the door.
"Oh, Brief, Yaoyorozu, what are you doing here?" She asked, putting a finger to her chin. "Ribbit."
"We came to check on you and your family since the school is closed today." Bulla told her. "Would you mind if we came in Asui?"
"Sure, I don't mind, but please, call me Tsu." She said as the three girls went inside. Everyone in the Asui family was frog-like.
"Oh, Tsu, are these your friends?" Mrs. Asui asked, taking off her apron and meeting the girls at the front of the home.
"Mom, these are the Class Officers, Bulla Brief and Momo Yaoyorozu." She explained.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Asui." Yaoyorozu said, taking the lead for the home visit. "We wanted to come check on our classmate and make sure she was doing well after the incident yesterday, since the school is closed."
"Oh, yes. Her father's at work, right now, but he would not stop about how dangerous the situation was yesterday." Mrs. Asui explained, chuckling as she reminisced.
"It was understandable. Ribbit." Tsuyu said. "He was just worried. My brother and sister kept talking about how cool it was."
"Oh, yes, Samidare and Satsuki were going on and on about how cool their sister was for taking on those villains. But really, she told me about how valiantly you fought. Holding back a big villain that was supposed to be as strong as All Might. She would just go on and on." Mrs. Asui explained as a blush came to Tsuyu's cheeks.
"I'm happy to hear that my efforts were not in vain, Mrs. Asui. And I'm so happy to see that Tsu is doing well." Bulla told her with a smile.
"Will you two be staying for lunch?"
"Unfortunately, Ma'am, we have to continue going down our class roster to check on everybody. We appreciate the offer, though." Yaoyorozu told her, holding a hand on her chest.
"Well, feel free to come back anytime. I still need to thank you for what you did. Who knows where my little Tree Frog be right now if it wasn't for you!" As Tsu's nickname slipped out, her cheeks flushed into an even brighter red.
"Well, it looks like you should get going. If you're going down the class roster, then you're going to Iida's home next, right?" Tsuyu told her as she gestured for the girls to leave.
Bulla let out a sigh. "Actually, I decided to go alphabetically. So, next up is..."
