A/N: I would like to heartfully apologize to those that have been reading this particular fanfiction about the way that things had seemed to be going when it came to the previous chapter. When I had started writing the chapter I had honestly thought that it would end up being quite a bit longer than it actually was. There had been so many different details that I was wanting to add to the chapter and yet when it came to getting it written out it was another thing altogether. I know that the chapter had turned out to be shorter than many of the others but I am hoping that I would be able to make up for that short chapter by doing something rather amazing when it comes to writing this chapter. I would like to remind people that even though I am currently preparing to write the 16th chapter that it does not mean that the story will be ending with this particular book. I have other books planned for this particular fandom but it is something that is more than likely going to take me quite a bit of time to be writing.

With that honestly being said there is something else that I feel that I should address and it is only because of a review that I had received during the time that I was working on one of the previous chapters. I know that there are people out there who seem to think that writing something of this nature should be very easy and that it does not take time to write the new chapters for each of the fanfictions that someone has been writing but that is not always the case. When I had received this particular review I was still in the middle of writing Chapter 14 and this person, at least to me, had seemed to be rather demanding about updating the story despite the fact that I was doing everything that I possibly could to get the newest chapter finished and posted the way that I tend to do with each chapter that I happen to be writing at a particular time. To this person I would like to say that as much as I appreciate the fact that you are reading my fanfiction that I do not appreciate the fact that you are attempting to rush me with the things that I am writing about. Writing of any kind whether it is original fictions or fanfictions take a certain amount of patience and understanding, especially when the person that is writing that fanfiction is dealing with attending classes on a daily basis (most of which are online) as well as trying to take care of certain things in their lives that are away from their computers or tablets, whatever the person just happens to be writing on during that time. If you can't really understand about the fact that people write at a different pace then you really should not write a comment about something that you cannot take the time to be patient and understanding about. When you are rushing someone that is writing about a particular fandom then they are prone to make more mistakes and with those mistakes happens to come the terrible comments that people are not wanting to receive, espeically when all of these negative comments are bordering on cyber bullying which is something that is completely illegal. I can understand being rather excited about a story or fanfiction that another writer happens to be working on but in the end do you really want to be that person that is causing the mistakes that the writer is making due to the fact that you are rushing them for whatever reason? The main reason that people are writing these fanfictions is because they happen to enjoy the fandom that they are writing about. One person can essentially ruin that fun for the person that is writing that fanfiction and they may not even realize that they are doing these things. I would be the first person to admit that whenever someone has been writing a story or fanfiction that I find myself enjoying that I would be asking the person about if the story was actually finished or if there was going to be more to it, but I would never in any way pressure that person into finishing the chapter that they were working on to the point where they are feeling rushed and eventually cause that person to make various mistakes with the chapter that they are writing and this includes whether that person feels comfortable with the length of the chapter that they are writing. I have never exactly made any kind of secret about when I was working on a new chapter and when I had expected that chapter to be posted, but there are always things happening in a person's life that they would never exactly be expecting that would end up causing numerous delays when it comes to that chapter being finished. Does that mean that the chapter won't be posted? Of course not. It means that the person ran into a few snags and just need the time to finish writing the chapter so that it can be posted on whatever site they happen to be posting that particular fanfiction on. I am sorry if there are people out there who feel that this note is about them in some way but this is something that has bothered me ever since it happened to me recently and I felt that it was something that had needed to be addressed before I continued writing this fanfiction. It is not a case of not appreciating the fact that people are taking the time to read my fanfiction that is based on the series Law and Order SVU, because I honestly do appreciate the time and effort that people have taken to read the things that I am writing, but in the end does that mean that I should be rushed when it comes to writing the things that I am when there are a number of things happening outside of my writing that I am having to do throughout the day or even the month that others literally do not seem to really understand no matter how much I have been explaining these things?

With all that being said I would like to thank those people who have been reading this fanfiction and understanding the things that every writer can sometimes find themselves going through at different times of their lives. There are those times when writing can sometimes prove to be rather difficult, but it is the way that we handle those difficult times that can define exactly what kind of writer that we are going to be during that time. Just know that whenever I am writing a new chapter that I will get it posted as soon as I possibly can and your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

It had been several days after Olivia and Amanda had been spending the weekend together that they had started to realize that it was becoming increasingly difficult for Amanda to get her things together and return to the apartment that she had been living in with her daughter. Olivia had not minded in the slightest way having Amanda staying at the apartment where she was living with Noah, but there was that fact that people had started asking questions about the reason that Amanda had always been coming in with Olivia instead of on her own the way she had been doing from the very beginning when she had first started working at the precinct. Amanda knew that Jessie had loved spending her time with Noah and had loved the fact that her mother had always seemed to be rather happy about spending her time with Olivia no matter what they had been doing. It was definitely going to be rather difficult for Amanda to get her daughter to understand the reason that they just could not stay with Olivia in the apartment the way that she had honestly wanted to be doing throughout that entire time.

Right from the moment that Amanda and Olivia had returned home that evening Amanda had seemed to realize that she was going to have to deal with her daughter pitching a fit about having to leave her best friend who had seemed to be like a sibling to her but she had known that there was absolutely no way that they could stay with Olivia and Noah for much longer without there being some kind of trouble for Olivia since Amanda and Jessie had been staying in the apartment for a longer period of time than they had originally planned. Amanda knew that the apartment building where Olivia and Noah had been living during that time had certain rules about how long guests were permitted to stay with you without having to be placed on the lease and it was already getting close enough to that time that Amanda had not wanted to risk the woman that she had loved getting kicked out of the only home that she had ever known. Olivia was the one person that Amanda had ever known that had never been afraid of talking about the places where she had honestly felt the safest and the truth was that the apartment building where she had currently been living just happened to be one of those places. All that she had known for certain was that when everything had started happening she could come home and know that her son had been kept safe and that nobody else could ever keep her from making sure that the people that she had honestly cared about would always be kept safe no matter where they had been living during that entire time. If Olivia had been honest with herself she would have admitted that having Amanda and Jessie staying with her throughout the entire two weeks that they had been there had been something that she had loved even if they had been making people believe that it was something that had been taking place for the kids more than anything else that had been happening. When Olivia had noticed that a few of her neighbors had been watching her rather carefully throughout the entire time that Jessie and Amanda had been there Olivia had started to realize that something was going to have to happen and she was pretty sure that it was just too soon for Amanda to be considering moving in with her when they had just started to talk about their feelings for each other during the short amount of time that Amanda had been staying there with Jessie.

When Jessie had found out that she was going to be expected to leave Olivia's apartment and that Noah was going to be staying behind no matter what they had wanted during that time she had ended up pitching a fit. Amanda knew that once she had gotten Jessie home and back to her normal ruitine that everything would eventually be getting back to normal. Throughout that entire night, however, she was going to find herself dealing with Jessie crying and having a tantrum simply because she was no longer around Noah the way that she had wanted to be. The minute that Amanda and Jessie had gotten back to their own apartment Amanda had decided that she would do everything that she could think of to take Jessie's mind off of the fact that she would not be spending time with Noah for a few days and even then it would depend on the things that were happening throughout the rest of the week when Amanda would be spending her time working like she had done from the moment that Jessie had been born. Jessie had seemed to know Amanda's work schedule better than anybody despite the fact that she was still rather little. In many ways Amanda had wondered if her daughter had really understood the reason that she had spent so much of her time working those long hours at the precinct, especially when it came to those cases that had seemed to have everything to do with the kids that Amanda and Olivia had been attempting to protect over the years. Even now Amanda had seemed to realize that there was one case that Olivia was not able to forget about and that was mainly because of the fact that it had everything to do with Kylee and the terrible things that she had found herself dealing with since the first time that she had been placed in a foster home with Jerimiah and his wife, Amanda knew that this would always be a case that Olivia would be thinking about no matter what was happening during that particular time. Of course, Amanda knew that getting Olivia to understand that Kylee would often have to figure these things out on her own was a completely different story and she had honestly hoped that at some point Jessie would be able to help when it came to the things that Olivia had been dealing with for the longest time. Amanda knew that counting on someone that was so little to help her make things better for Olivia was wrong but at the same time she was not entirely sure what else she could honestly do when it came to this particular situation, but at the same time she knew that Olivia had loved Jessie just as much as she had loved Noah and that had meant a lot to both women.

The fact that Amanda and Olivia had known that they could honestly trust each other when it came to their kids was something that they had both found themselves thinking about throughout the entire time that they had been spending some quality time alone with their kids. At the same time, however, Amanda had found herself wondering just what would end up happening if Olivia had found herself having to deal with some form of jealousy if Kylee had in fact been brought into her home and Noah had learned that he was going to be expected to treat Kylee as if she was his older sister. Amanda had known that stranger things had been known to happen, especially when you had stopped to think about how Noah had come into Olivia's life and how he had changed everything when it had become obvious that his mother was unable to do the things that would have helped her get her son back into her life after everything that had taken place. Of course, when Ellie had been brutally murdered that was something that had changed everything and had caused the changes that had led to Olivia adopting the little boy that was now her son. Amanda knew that deep down Olivia was hoping that these same things would be happening when it came to Kylee and the places where she would be living, places that in very many ways would prove to be a long and endless nightmare depending on the people that would be running that particular foster home. Olivia knew that it would be quite some time before she knew for sure about the things that would be happening in Kylee's life and even then it would be a rather long time before she had learned about what Kylee's new foster parents were going to be like and the things that Kylee would be dealing with throughout the entire time that she was living through this endless nightmare.
*************

Even though Kylee was still in the group home because of the trial and everything that had been happening since she had informed the police of the abuse that she was having to suffer through it had seemed that she had found herself thinking of what would happen if she was given the opportunity to have the home that she had always wanted. She had asked about what would happen if a new foster home could not be found for her and had only been told that there had been absolutely no way of knowing these things until after the trial and everything was officially over. The last thing that Kylee had really wanted to do during that time was wait until her foster parents had been placed behind bars but it had seemed that she would have to wait no matter what was happening in her life.

Kylee had known right from the very beginning that this case against her foster parents was something that was going to be some rather big news. She had been pretty sure that Jerimiah was making every attempt to convince people that he was completely innocent despite the fact that he was the main reason that many of these things had been taking place. Kylee had heard over the past few months that the police had spent time talking to the woman that had been her social worker and that there had been several rumors that she was being blamed for some of these things just the way that Jerimiah and his wife had been for quite some time. When Kylee had first learned that her foster parents had been arrested she had started feeling that she was going to end up in some rather serious trouble because she had been the reason that Jerimiah had ended up in jail and his wife had ended up being arrested simply because people had claimed that she had helped Jerimiah with everything that he had done while Kylee had been staying with them.

Even though Kylee had been feeling quite scared that Jerimiah would be searching for a way to make her pay for everything that he was currently going through she had found herself talking to a few of the other kids that were in the group home about some of the different foster homes that they had been in around the time that they had found themselves being placed in the same group home that Kylee had been currently staying in. In the short amount of time that Kylee had been in this particular group home she had found out that there had been so many other foster homes that were out there in the world that had somehow proven to be almost as bad as the one that she had recently left, even though the people that had been her foster parents were currently in jail it had seemed that nobody else was exactly interested in becoming her foster parents because of the amount of trouble that had seemed to be taking place throughout that entire time. Trouble that Kylee had never wanted to take place and now it had seemed that she was going to be stuck in this pure endless hell until the right family could eventually be found for her.

For days after Kylee had heard about the fact that she would be expected to testify at Jerimiah's trial she had found herself thinking about Olivia and the real reason that she might have decided that it was for the best if Kylee was not permitted to live with her, at least until they had found out what was going to be happening to the family that she had been staying with for quite some time before she had run away for the first time. Olivia had known that Kylee had needed a place where she could eventually feel safe but there was always something that had kept her from stepping up and admitting that she had wanted to be the one that was taking care of Kylee after everything that had eventually taken place throughout that entire time. Kylee had seemed to realize that there had been different things about Olivia that she had been able to trust especially when it came to the fact that Olivia had been doing just about everything that she could to make sure that everything was going the way that it should be when it came to the people that would eventually be there for this amazing little girl. Her life might have started out as one endless living hell, but if Olivia had things her way her life would not be ending in that manner even if it meant that she would have to spend the rest of her life going to court and fighting to take care of Kylee after everything was said and done.
