The moodulator sat on the table between them, deceptively small for such a destructive device. Drakken looked nervously over at Shego before he spoke. "But if I –"

"No."

"But Shego –"

"You're not using that thing. I want it out of the lab."

"You're not the boss of me!"

She glared, and Drakken cowered. Just an hour ago, Shego had chased him clear across Middleton, until he managed to whack her in the head hard enough with a tree branch to stun her and rip the chip from her neck. Now, she had a rather large welt across her forehead and a wound from the chip on the base of her neck. Which probably didn't help his position.

"Ok. Fine. We can get rid of it."

"Good." Shego pushed her chair back and stormed out of the room. She ripped her door open, let it slam behind her, and collapsed on the bed, shaking with barely suppressed rage. Not at Drakken now, but at herself, at the situation. She had acted crazy, and Drakken had born the brunt of it. As much as she hated to admit it, Drakken had become a sort of friend, maybe even kind of (oh jeez) family. She didn't want to lose that.

In the lab, Drakken threw the moodulator in the incinerator and sighed. It was a scientific loss, sure, but he would get rid of it for Shego. He would do anything for Shego.

Really, he should have known something was off. And he did, in a way. Shego wasn't acting normally, and he had seen that. And even if he wanted to be in a relationship with her, he didn't want it to be like that. It had been, quite frankly, scary. But a small part of him thought that maybe …

He shook his head. Forget about it, Drakken. Mumbling to himself about a waste of time, he made for his bedroom, leaving the chip behind to burn.
