Chapter 25

Monday

Tempest stared at himself in his room, today was the day he promised his father to be serpent for a week. Whatever this is going to do to him should help his training, at least, that what he is led on to believe.

Tempest woke extra early that morning. He took off the band that hid his long braided hair, he didn't realize how much longer his hair grew either! Most of the morning he spent undoing the braids, until it was a long mess. White, black and blue streaks were throughout his whole hair, no doubt his uncles will have to dye and braid it back up for him again later. Yet at the moment, it will make him less noticeable. At least he hopes!

When that was done, he took a deep breath, changing into a simple bathrobe and nothing more, he stared at the bands and was ready to strike them. "Hold your horses" he heard his father from the other side of the door.

"Dad?"

"You ain't going to get out of your room if you do that there,"

"How the hell did he know?" Tempest whispered.

"Also I got your breakfast outside. Hurry it up."

"Breakfast?" With a shrug of his shoulders, Tempest left his room and saw his father waiting for him. "Dad… you got me breakfast?" he asked in a confused tone.

"Yep, now let's go."

He blindly followed his father out of the house, through the back. When he saw the heap of monsters waiting to be eaten. "Uh… dad… that's a lot."

"Turn and get started. The longer they linger the worst they taste, you know that,"

With a sigh, Tempest struck his bands.

The sensation was strange, he hadn't turned since he had to molt. Before that… he didn't turn for nearly a year, well, not since he started training on being a sumo wrestler. He felt odd as his legs went numb, his body grew and continued to expand until he finally finished turning back. He was massive compared to before, nearly twice his original size. The moment his forked tongue tasted the air, his hunger hit into overdrive! He was starving!

"Food…" he muttered.

His eyes stared at the fallen monsters. He wasted little time in devouring the feast. Yet it was all gone too soon.

His father on the other hand was laughing up a storm. "Your mother was right… good thing we got these before you turned!"

Despite the big meal, it hardly showed in his belly. "I… ate all of that?" he muttered. "Yet, I am satisfied… but I felt like I could have had more…"

"Pace yourself, you haven't been a serpent in a while. Besides, when this digest, your metabolism will kick in, I assure you." His father vowed. "So, how about you and I hang out for the day?"

Tempest smirked. "Thanks dad, but I think I'll hunt on my own. Besides, I might be a little rusty and need to brush up on my skills."

His father nodded. "Good point. Okay kid… let me get one thing…" he went back into the house but returned with a small backpack. "Phone is in there. Call your sister if you eat too much."

He laughed and slung the bag over his shoulder. "Thanks dad, I'll head off now."

"Watch out of Neo Heroes!"

"I will!"

With that, Tempest slipped off. He didn't take the stairs, in fact, he took the more rugged terrain down the mountain and behind the abandon city streets of City Z. He could taste small monsters in the area, but he wants the big ones. "Perhaps they are still in hiding…" With that, he ventured off to find his lunch!

"You smell that?"

Snek was on patrol with his sons Bo and Pythan. The two were in their human forms, and yet, despite it, they still had their serpent like sense. Pythan paused as his nose picked up something.

"Is that monster? Wait… something else is in the air too…" he said.

"Yeah, something ain't right…" Snek was about to call it in, when the ground shook. The smell grew stronger and the streets suddenly tore open!

It was as if the gates of hell themselves had burst from the ground!

Monsters of various threats and sizes began to flood the streets! "Shit!" Snek yelled. "Boys, call for back up, get people out of here!"

He rushed in head first, Snek picked out the most threatening of the monsters and opted to take it down first. Slithering up the creature's body, he wrapped himself around its neck and began to choke the life out of it! His sons were quick to transform and aid him. Pythan was biting them left right and center, even if it was just a nick, it would be enough to get his venom in and all they would have to do is wait it out. Bo was quick to get people out of harm's way before joining the battle.

It took some time, but the monsters were taken down. Snek's phone however was going off.

They were everywhere!

At the Association.

The alarms were going off universally!

Alley was caught off guard as all cities were reporting monster attacks. "Shit! What the hell is going on!?" she rushed to the situation room, all the staff were directing heroes and informing them on where they need to be. "Who's hit the hardest right now?" she asked.

"City X,"

"Get Saitama and Genos there now!"

"But City Z…"

"Dad has it and my brother Titan is in the area. I also got energy signatures of Neo Heroes on patrol there. But send out heavy hitters to city X." she ordered.

"We got Pig God in City H."

"Snek and his sons City S."

"Rimuru and the three swordsmen have headed towards City G"

"Amai Mask went to a reading this morning for a movie script. He has already contacted me and is on patrol" she called.

"He has been informed and will be leaving the meeting shortly,"

"Good."

"We got Suiryu heading to City B, nothing to serious there…"

"We got a massive influx of monsters in City L. Your siblings Akira, Eclipsa and Luna are there now."

"They got that no problem."

However Alley wanted to call back Suiryu. She kept thinking it was far too dangerous for him to be out there like that. Especially in his condition, but right now, it can't be helped.

"Alley, we have all heroes deployed, we have also reached out to the Neo Heroes. Child Emperor is standing by…"

"Emp… he goes by Emp now." She corrected. Grabbing a headset she got in contact. "Emp, it's Alley, can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear!"

"Okay I am going to let you know where we got people in action, if you want to coordinate with us or even go around getting the other threats, I will leave it up to you."

She spent an hour with Emp, they were able to adjust their plans and make certain the Neo heroes didn't interfere with the Association heroes as best as possible. Of course there were some who went against orders, but it was to be expected. Soon, they were getting the all clear from the Heroes. "City D clear," came the voice of Flash.

"City E clear" stated Zombieman.

Slowly, one by one the all clears were coming in.

"City S… clear… oh man… I need a nap…" she giggled to that one, it was Snek! "You okay Snek?" she asked.

"Too full, same with the boys… I need a pick up soon…"

"Drones area already dispatched. We will modify the docking bay for you and the boys."

"I need a hot cup of coffee."

"We have it on stand by, but green tea would be better for you," she said and laughed. She called her drones to set up the docking bay, section A for the soon to be full heroes. It was strange though, she hasn't heard from anyone else in the family yet…
