Last one for the night, then I pick this up tomorrow. Garanda seems to be focused on destruction, destruction, and more destruction for world domination. Don't these realize that if you conquer something you should leave a working infrastructure? Disclaimer: I don't own Kamen Rider, Tokyo Ghoul, or any other referenced media.

Chapter 18: The Ground Quakes
At a lighthouse that held the Office of Shipping Signals, a humanoid monster resembling a tiger beetle, or hanmyo, poked his head out of the nearby brush. He oversaw a group of Kurojusha as the plugged a large device into the ground. "Preparations are complete." The beastman nodded. "Good work. Activate the Zero Device!" A switch to close a circuit, starting the device up. Hanmyo Beastman looked back at the lighthouse.
The family inside was enjoying a meal together. The device counted down and ultimately started an earthquake. "Everyone brace yourself!," he called out to the Kurojusha. He then saw the lighthouse topple over from the massive quake. Inside, the father and his daughter Misako were fine, but the mother didn't seem to be moving. Misako was told to phone the city right away. Unfortunately, the phone line had gotten cut. Instead, Misaki ran out to get an ambulance.
As she hurried out on her bike, she spotted the Kurojusha and the Zero device. Unfortunately, Hanmyo Beastman spotted her as she immediately ran for it. He leapt over to stop her. "Those who witness the actions of the Garanda Empire cannot be allowed to escape!" Misaki quickly ran as the Kurojusha tried to capture her. She managed to evade them, but only able to escape by leaping into the nearby sea.
At the bottom, she got caught by Hideyoshi. "Whoa there," he said, "Nothing worse than a kid trying to kill themselves." Ken, Touka, and Nishiki ran over as well. Misaki came to after passing out from the fall. "There was an earthquake! My mom and dad are trapped in our house!" Up above, Hanmyo Beastman was looking over the cliff, not seeing any sign of Misaki. "Well done! Everyone move out!"
The beastman and his forces returned to Garanda's throne room. Emperor Zero appeared from the curtain. "State your report, Hanmyo Beastman. How did your experiment go?" "It was a complete success!," Hanmyo Beastman replied, "The Zero Device was able to confine the entire area with earthquakes!" "You're sure about this?," Emperor Zero asked. Hanmyo Beastman nodded. "I saw the Mokukyo Lighthouse fall apart in two! The Zero Device is truly powerful!" Emperor Zero nodded. "Very well. Take the Zero Device and send earthquakes to Tokyo's chief areas, one after another. Spread fear among the humans."
Misaki's parents were found and rescued. Her father only suffered a broken arm, but her mother had a major concussion. "The earthquake just past noon," the father said, "While we were eating. It was very strong. The lighthouse wound up falling over." "That's weird," Tobei said, "We spoke to your neighbors, and none of them felt anything." "That's ridiculous," the man insisted, "The lighthouse isn't that far from Tokyo. Even if the ocean didn't detect it, it was still quite powerful."
Tobei turned to Ken. "Do you think maybe he hit his head hard?" Ken shook his head. "We have to keep in mind that his wife and daughter were there as well, and they also experienced the earthquake. And me and my pack did see the lighthouse fall." "It must have been the work of those people!," Misaki called out, "That insect-looking monster, and the people dressed in black! They were using some sort of weird device. They said something about Garanda." Tobei looked at Ken. "The Garanda Empire. So this is their doing."
Just then, another earthquake hit. "This is just like before!," the father realized. Ken helped get everyone out of the room. In fact, the entire hospital was being evacuated. Once everyone was outside, they saw that the hospital had caught on fire. The mother looked around, and realized that Misaki wasn't with them. "There's no need to worry," Ken assured them, "I have a friend looking after her." The father nodded in relief. "Could this earthquake also be unnatural?" "Most likely," Ken said, "The shaking stopped when we got outside. This is Garanda's doing. I'll go get my pack, and we'll deal with them."
He noticed a caravan of Garanda riding away from the scene. He contacted the rest of the Rider Pack and they raced after the caravan on their Rider Machines. Hanmyo Beastman spotted them as they chased the caravan. He quickly leapt onto the Jungler to try and stop Ken, letting the caravan get away. Nishiki was able to get a good look at the Zero Device. "So Garanda was behind the weird earthquakes!" "Surprised?," Hanmyo Beastman said, "That's the power of Garanda's great invention, the Zero Device! We will use it to crush each part of Tokyo!"
"You'll die trying!," Touka called out, and Riders leapt onto the beastman to attack. He managed to throw them off with his strong mandibles. "Do you see my skills!?" "Yeah," Nishiki said, "And we're not impressed." He tackled Hanmyo Beastman to the ground as the others tore into him. He kicked them off and fired his mandible like a shuriken, hitting Touka in the leg. Ken pulled it out as Hanmyo Beastman leapt into a nearby ditch.
More earthquakes started to hit the city, starting with an elementary school. Nearby volcanoes erupted and dams started to break. Moley wound up getting woken up from his sleep by the rocks falling into his subterranean home. "Is this an earthquake? Ah, no worries then." He yawned and went back to sleep, but it got interrupted again when water started spraying into his home too. "Cold! Too cold!" Up top, Tobei and Misaki ran into Masahiko and Ritsuko, and together they decided to head over to where the Rider Pack was living. All around the city fires were breaking out, pushing the fire department to its limit.
In their forest home, Ken was applying some medicine to Touka's injury. "Hey guys," Hideyoshi said, "Our friends are here." Tobei came over with Misaki and the siblings. "Where did Touka get that injury from?," Tobei asked. "That damned Hanmyo Beastman," Touka replied, "Pain's already passed, thankfully." "Where are Misaki's parents?," Ritsuko asked. "I had them wait near the hospital," Ken replied, "The radio hasn't reported any further earthquakes there, so they should be fine."
As if on cue, a sudden earthquake rocked the area. However, it wasn't the Zero Device again, but Moley digging his way underground to the group. "Moley!," Masahiko called out, "You nearly gave us all heart attacks!" "Sorry," Moley said, "I had to get out of the city. The earthquakes are one thing, but some of them broke the water mains and now my home is ruined." "You're not the only one losing a home in all this," Tobei said, "All of Tokyo is in danger right now. Garanda's been causing earthquakes all over."
Touka tested her leg and found that it had healed nicely. "Garanda's been using an earthquake machine they call the Zero Device, hoping to tear apart the city." "And I thought I was having problems," Moley said, "I did hear something about Garanda researching a machine designed to make earthquakes." "If something isn't done about it," Ritsuko said, "All of Tokyo will be destroyed!"
"But we don't know how to find them," Nishiki pointed out. "Leave it to me!," Moley called out, "When it comes to anything underground-related, there's no one who can top me! Helping the humans aside, I owe Garanda one for my ruined home! I'll start tunneling and find where the Zero Device in, then tell you guys once I've found it!" Unfortunately, Garanda was already on to them.
The listening device near them was broadcasting to the Garanda throne room. "You idiot beastman!," Emperor Zero called out, using his lance to destroy the Kurojusha next to Hanmyo Beastman, "If Amazon and his pack were to pursue you, it would really get in the way! If you don't want to wind up like those useless servants, then start using some responsibility and deal with this problem!" Hanmyo Beastman bowed.
He hurried out to where the Rider Pack had been told where the Zero Device was supposed, ready to intercept them. Once they approached, he called out more Kurojusha to attack them. Despite getting caught off-guard, the Riders quickly called upon the transformation devices. "Henshin!" "A-MA-ZON!" "Henshin!" "Amazon!" The Kurojusha approached, only to get blasted away by the Amazon Drivers causing explosions, revealing Kamen Riders Amazon, Omega, Alpha, and Sigma.
Now transformed, they started taking apart the Kurojusha before moving on to deal with Hanmyo Beastman. He found himself getting pummeled over and over. "You can defeat me!," he called out, "But you still have to contend with the Zero Device! Hit the switch!" The Zero Device went off as the four Riders were dropped underground. "Sleep forever a thousand meters underground!," Hanmyo Beastman called out, "Now we'll target a bullet train!" Moley saw the entire thing and brought the siblings back. "Unfortunately, I can't go that deep," he explained, "I've only ever been able to reach ten meters."
Masahiko knelt down to the ground and started calling for the Riders. "Come on everyone," Amazon said, "We can't die here, or Garanda will take over the world. We've got to think of something." That's when the GiGi Armlet started glowing, creating a strong accelerator. This passed from Amazon to the other three Riders, creating a high fever action. This allowed them to break free from the rock slide and leap out of the deep hole. Ritsuko, Masahiko, and Moley ran over and explained what Hanmyo Beastman was now planning.
The Rider Pack raced off on their Rider Machines. Not knowing that they had escaped, Hanmyo Beastman was preparing to unleash the Zero Device as the bullet train was passing by a bridge. "Hit the switch!" The device started powering up. "With this, the bullet train will be knocked over!" Just then, he heard the Rider Machines and turned to see the Rider Pack rolling in. "Impossible! They were buried a thousand meters below ground!"
The Jungler rammed right into the Zero Device, shutting it down before the countdown could finish. Hanmyo Beastman looked on in despair as the bullet train passed on safely. "You bastard! That was our precious Zero Device!" "You should leave earthquakes to the laws of nature," Amazon retorted, "This device should never have existed. Rider Pack! Unleash the fury!" Amazon and Omega attacked the beastman while Alpha and Sigma took out the Kurojusha. Hanmyo Beastman struck with his claws and mandible, but he wasn't able to do much damage as the Riders countered all of his attacks.
Amazon and Omega started biting into his vulnerable neck and shoulders before pounding on his belly with their Blood Appendages. Omega then leapt into the air. "This one's for my leg! Omega Slasher!" Her arm blade slashed right through Hanmyo Beastman's head and underbelly, spilling vital fluid everywhere as he came apart from the waist, his body quickly dissolving. The Rider Pack cried out in triumph at their fallen opponent. The earthquake threat was now over as Misaki reunited with her family.
Emperor Zero stood before Ruler. 'You grow soft, Great Emperor Zero,' Ruler said. "I ask for your forgiveness," Emperor Zero replied, bowing his head. 'No need,' Ruler assured him, 'I will simply bring you an even better beastman for next time! Soon you will be able to start a new mission! Show everyone the Garanda Empire's glory!" Emperor Zero nodded. He intended to unleash the full power of Garanda on Tokyo, and he wasn't about to let the Kamen Riders stop him.
