Chapter 19: Pool Fun

The rest of the group left the library but Nikolas thought it best to not split up for he knew his son was in danger if one of the others found the kids first. Claudia told him that Emma told everyone that Justin was her son. He didn't like it but he understood that she didn't know the danger that posed with the Port Charles residents. Hell even Britney's family could harm his son, especially since this did not look good. What with the two teens disappearing and renting a hotel. And their clothes on the floor. He had to wonder if his son had become a man in the intimate way. He was so distracted he hadn't even noticed his mom, Laura until he bumped into her causing her to drop the bags with the pool gear.

Claudia and Nikolas stopped to help Laura pick up the pool gear and apologize. Laura insisted, "It's fine. I'm glad your both here. I actually tried to call you. We…" indicating Cameron, Jake, and Aiden in swimwear. Nikolas cut her off, "Sorry about that we have actually been busy dealing with an emergency." Seeing the large group and a lot of unfamiliar faces, Laura continued hesitantly, "Well we were just heading to the pool to meet …" but was cut off again. This time by Claudia, "That's one of the places we were going to check why don't we go with you." Claudia hating being the kids into this but thought that having Laura by their side could be helpful and figured that Jason would never hurt Elizabeth's boys so Sonny should be able to do anything with all these witnesses. Laura thought, "Well that's a wonderful idea. I'm sure the kids would love the company. Are you sure you two can't stay and have dinner with us?" Sensing that there was something going on, Carly answered, "No I don't really think they will be able to but you have a good time at the pool and enjoy your dinner on the house." Cameron laughed, "Thanks. Can we order anything we want cause I'm starving." Laura chuckled, "Are you sure? I bet the six of us could eat quite a bit. What with two teens and 3 growing boys." The teen comment caught some attention but before Nikolas or Claudia could ask anything more they heard a scream as they entered the pool area.

Justin grabbed Britney and jumped off the diving board with her. There was a large splash as the pair landed in the pool. They had barely surfaced before there was another splash as Henry jumped in the pool, "Get your paws off my sister." Grabbing a pool noodle Britney hit Henry, "Stop Henry. Justin's not hurting me." But when Henry kept a tight hold on Justin, Britney had to pull the boys apart before Henry shoved Justin under only to have James jump in pulling Justin under too, "James not you too." Since the adults seemed to be struggling with what was the right thing to do, Elsa tried blasting the water but only made it really cold causing the others to get out of the pool.

Always the gentleman, well almost always, Justin picked up the closest towel to wrap around Britney but young David shoved him away, "Stay away from my sister." Frustrated that her brothers were tag teaming Justin she yelled at them, "Seriously you three Justin is not trying to hurt me. We were just having fun in pool and he was just giving me a towel cause its cold." Finding his voice Killian bellowed, "Well maybe you wouldn't be so bloody cold if you put some bloody clothes on," looking his daughter up and down only wearing a bikini. Damn he loved it when Emma wore them and yeah Britney had worn them before and it didn't bother him that much but now with the boys looking at her he wanted to rip them limb from limb.

Not liking the way they were treating Britney, Justin stepped forward to say something but she grabbed onto his hand with the towel still in it. Turning to her he saw her unspoken request to leave it as she took the towel. Wrapping herself up because it was cold, she looked around the room and saw that they had attracted a lot of attention. Her family was there as well as the strangers from the docks she tried to help. Even a bunch a strangers. Young and old a like. They all seemed to be looking at her with different thoughts: curiosity, fear, anger, joy, hatred, jealousy, love, horniness. The last one made her hold her towel tighter because she didn't feel comfortable with strangers thinking that way about her. She wasn't even sure how she felt about Justin feeling that way about her.

Breaking her from her thoughts, Henry yelled, "What the bloody hell is your problem? Running off with a complete stranger? Getting a hotel room with some random guy? Why I ought to …" Screaming back at him Britney interrupts, "He's not a stranger or some random guy. Justin's ….he's… my…" lowering her voice she realizes she can't explain him without getting into more trouble and potentially getting someone hurt so she shifts, "you're … you're not the boss of me. You're not my …my father." She knew it was lame but it was all she could come up with. But she didn't have long to dwell on it, as Henry turned to Killian, "I may not be but he is. Dad, what do you…"Neal can't stand this, "Dad. He is not his father. He's my son." What Neal didn't expect was a lesson on being a father from Carly, Sonny, Charlotte, Jason, Emma, Killian, Regina, Snow, and even Rumple.

During this lesson everyone learned that one of Emma's foster families was Carly's adopted family, Charlotte and Carly had been like family, Jason and Sam are part of the extended Corinthos clan, Regina was Snow's stepmom, Snow and David were Emma's birth parents, and Emma and Killian raised Killian from infancy. While the last part shocked the Storybrooke residents they knew it had something to do with the time travel and couldn't ask about it with the Port Charles residents there. Although the lesson did make Regina sad, it gave her, Snow and David a little peace knowing that Emma, Killian and Henry had been a real family and stood by each other through thick and thin. Killian had been a good man for Emma and Henry and made sure they were safe and cared for.
