Trouble in the East
Chapter 25: Mourning and to Love
The group felt the hot sun again and had to blink a little to have their eyes get used to it after being inside a dark place for quite a while. Levi touched the new crystal he had attached to his clothes. The male Serkah then got a big smile. "So I'm starved, let's get something to eat and celebrate!" he stated.
"Not yet," Nicholas commented. "We must first report in. And then I imagine we must help with those some other things."
"You're probably right," Miura agreed, looking to the Anuban with her usual smile. But in her mind it was thinking that now that the spirit here had been saved, the time had arrived to go the next step with the male she loved with all her heart. Miura was more than ready for that with the Anuban.
The group made it before the rulers Quint and Arial. The two rulers looked up as the small band entered the throne room and got relieved faces. The males and females knelt before the two Oroks. "It is finished," Nicholas told them. "The spirit here has been freed and we've returned safe and sound."
"Well done," the male ruler said.
"So then let us hear what happened," the female one commented.
The group went on to explain what they had found and what they had fought before coming up to the big baddie at the end. The two ruling Oroks listened the whole time. When it was over Quint stood up and looked out one of the windows here. "That must have been quiet the task," the male ruler stated.
"It was nothing like the others," Nicholas replied. "Fighting against a whole army is far more difficult."
"So… what now?" Tethu asked. Lanayru and Esna were out in their orbs and watching while silent.
"For now rest. But then we must lay to rest the ones that died fighting in that battle."
"Yes, for all those who fought fighting for freedom and against evil, it must be done," Tethi agreed.
"And if we can help in any way, let us know," Lanayru then spoke up.
"I'm sure that can be arranged," Quint commented.
There was much to do before to prepare but it then came time. The morning of found the whole city in a state of mourning. Even those from the Oasis and the spirits who didn't personally know those who had died felt the feeling of sadness and loss to. It found Nicholas waking up and then changing not just into his armor with his weapon but also the black cloths that were to be put over that. The male Anuban then left his room and made his way to Miura's. She answered looking beautiful even in black. The couple came in for a loving hug and kiss. "Hey you," she whispered.
"Sleep well?" he asked.
"Yeah… Although I wish you were by my side last night." They hadn't been able to share a room due to preparing things for the funeral.
"Well when this is over why don't you stop by mine later, okay?" The two kissed again. They then began to make their way to the place with their paw and hand together.
Tethi in the meantime was opening her door and found Tethu waiting outside. The two Seedlings didn't say anything but hugged with warmth and love. They also began to make their way to the place along with Levi and Sol. For Esna and Lanayru, the spirits metalized in their full bodies in the pool of water found here. "Sleep well?" the male spirit asked his girl.
"Yeah, I did actually," she replied to her guy and hugged him with love.
"Well then, let's get going." They met up with Nami and then it was off to where the funeral would take place.
The place for laying those to rest was not a graveyard but rather a building that had funeral pyres. The bodies had been washed, cleaned, and prepared for the burning. "The reason we are burning them is because of the honor they had while fighting and dying in battle," Quint had explained to the group. "Our warriors usually go through this unless stated otherwise. Others can as well if that is their wish."
Now the group was standing with all the other Oroks while their rulers were in front of the bodies. A number had perished and you would think there would be a massive pile but these had been laid in such a way in stacks. The idea was once the words had been said, the pyres would be lowered into the ground and the bodies set alight. After that, the remains would then be scattered on the wind. Just like it was believed the spirits of these warriors would always be on the wind and watching the living. Horns were sounded, the kind that were deep and mournful in their sound. Miura grabbed Nicholas's paw as did the other females who were in a relationship grabbed the hand of their guy. They squeezed them back in return. Once the horns had finished playing their tune, Orok stepped up. "To all gathered here, we are here to remember all those here today who gave their lives fighting against evil," he announced.
Arial then stood up. "Never forget what they were fighting for," she proclaimed. "They were fighting for our future, the safety of our children, friends, and family. Now we lay them to rest and remember them one last time."
The horns were sounded again, but a different tune. The bodies on the pyres were lowered down below. Then a torch was brought forward by a different Orok dressed richly in black. They lowered the burning flame down to light the bodies on fire. While doing so an unseen choir began to sing words of loss, new life, and other things one would expect at a funeral. When the burning was finished, those gathered watched the ashes be scattered on the wind. Now it was time for the next step and that was rebuilding and repairing the damage that had happened. "I think we're going to speed up the process," Nicholas told the rulers when the group was asking how they could help.
With the new crystal of stone, the work went smooth even if there was a lot to do. Most of it happened on the city walls that had been damaged in the attack. But even while during this time, for two in the group, something else was on their minds. It all started a few days after the rebuilding had started. Miura found a moment to find her love Nicholas who was talking to some of the Oroks in charge other than the rulers to figure out what to do next. The Anuban saw the Drauk approaching and quickly wrapped up what he had to say to the other race members. Now it was just him and her alone. "What is it love?" the male asked her with a grin.
She smiled at him and hugged the Anuban with love. "Can you meet me at my room later tonight?" Miura asked sweetly. She didn't say anything else, but Nicholas suspected what might be on her mind. They had almost done so before and had time to think about it. Now there wouldn't be anything stopping them this time.
"I'll make sure I can be there."
Nothing more was said with that but in the couple's minds they were looking forward to tonight. However the Anuban made sure to grab the special items he had packed before coming to this city. They were placed in some of the pockets of his clothes and all of those in the group had these even if they couldn't be seen. During the dinner some noticed that he and his female Drauk love seemed to really only be focused on the other. They were flirting even more than usual and giggling. It got to the point where it was asked. "Are you two alright?" Tethu asked with a questioning look.
"Yeah, now mind your damn business," Nicholas replied quickly and with annoyance.
"Just leave them be," Tethi told her Seedling love and he shrugged and continued to eat.
Finally at last the dinner was finished. Nicholas and Miura bade the others goodnight. As soon as the male were certain they were alone, he swept the female Drauk off of her feet. "Hey!" she exclaimed and then giggled, holding onto him tight.
Nicholas rubbed his nose against her snot, causing his girl to giggle louder. "Now then, I think we need to get you my dear to bed," he teasingly told Miura.
"Take me there…" she whispered with love, kissing her guy on the cheek.
The Anuban carried her all the way, sometimes rubbing his nose against her snot and causing her to giggle some more. They then arrived at her door and the Drauk was set down on her feet. With a moan she found his mouth, her arms going around his neck. One of his paws fumbled around to get the door opened, the other found one of her ass cheeks to squeeze. Their tongues danced as they stumbled into her room. The two pulled apart with gasps and the male made sure to turn to close and lock the door. As soon as he turned his attention back to his girl, Miura leaned up to find his lips again. Nicholas picked her up, holding her by her ass and her legs wrapped around him. The couple stumbled to the bed and here the Drauk was laid on it still holding onto her guy while the Anuban was on top. They pulled back and Nicholas looked deep into her somewhat blue colored eyes while she started deep into his green ones. Both had a slight blush on their cheek but their eyes were shinning and had smiles on their faces. Her legs were still wrapped around the male's body. Nicholas reached with his right paw to cup Miura's left cheek. The female sighed happily and kissed the palm. Nicholas then spoke. "Miura my love… I want you," he whispered. "I can't hold myself back anymore and want to take you as mine and mine alone right here and now…"
The Drauk leaned up to kiss his cheek before speaking in a loving, soft tone. "And I want that…" she stated. "I want you to and to be my first…"
The male nodded. "Wait a moment, I need to get a few things out."
Miura reluctantly unwrapped her legs and let her grip go of the Anuban but rose up to watch him get up from the bed and rummage in his pockets. It took a few seconds before Nicholas got what he wanted. One thing was placed on the bedside table. The other was kept out and was a tube of some kind. The male returned to the bed while the Drauk sat up after taking something out of this object and placing it on the table. He got on the furniture and wrapped his right arm around her, showing the thing in his left palm. "What is it?" she asked, looking at it while snuggling into his body. It was pill shaped and red in color.
"This babe, this is something for you to take," Nicholas explained. "It'll protect you."
"Protect me? From what?"
Here the Anuban turned so that they were face to face. "My dear, I know you're a virgin but you can't be serious," he replied with a bit of amusement. Nicholas was about to go on until he saw the playful look Miura was giving him and grinned. "You little sneaky Drauk!"
She giggled and kissed his cheek. "Silly, I know what you mean…" the female cooed.
"Good, then I don't have to explain why getting pregnant is a bad idea."
"Not at all, but it's really possible for me to become that?"
"It is," Nicholas answered with a smile and took her hands into his paws. "Do you remember one of the things while waiting and training for the tournament was checking to make sure nothing too major was going on with our bodies?"
Miura nodded. "Yeah, I remember even having blood drawn or something like that." Now one might think that technology such as that wouldn't exist. But for the Anuban's and others visited so far, when it came to the medical field, they were somewhat advanced. They could draw blood and test it for various conditions, diseases, and even testing out things related to genetics. How this had happened had occurred with a breakthrough after combining the knowledge of all six places. While the field of medicine wasn't like it was in our world, it was certainly more advanced than what Miura was used to at the Oasis Tethu had.
"Well I had them test out some things for you," the male said softly. "It turns out we're able to have kids if we want to."
"But not yet," the Drauk commented happily.
The couple came in and rubbed noses with affection. "Yes, but with this if you take it will protect you," Nicholas stated. "Try swallowing it like you would with food."
It took Miura a couple of tries but the Drauk managed to swallow the pill dry. "Now what?" she cooed, getting close to him again, her hands going up his muscled chest. The mouth was close to the male's.
"Just a little thing to keep in mind," he replied, his paws moving down her body. "If you take it regularly once a day you will still be protected. But one time missing is all it takes for the effects to go away. Other than that, that's all I have to say." Nicholas was grinning. His paws then found her ass.
"I love you…" Miura then whispered.
"And I love you," he replied softly.
"Now come here… take me and be my first. Make me yours and yours alone…"
"That I will do with pleasure…" The couple kissed, the lust and love taking over their minds and bodies. Miura felt like every part of her was on fire and alive. What she had been waiting for this Anuban that she loved with all her heart was going to happen tonight and the female Drauk was ready to accept Nicholas with all her being. He on the other hand had envisioned this for so long and now was ready to treat this female with love and passion.
