ATM: The Bonehead and the Brain – Rage in the City
Bayley Black Heart goes too far in her pursuit to take NXT away from Triple H and Bianca Belair makes her main roster debut against Charlotte Flair. Alexa Bliss finally finds out the Truth about what happened the night Chyna died in New York and the Damsels of Destruction give the 3Cs advice on what to do with the DX family inheritance.
Chapter Twenty Two – Boss Town
The McMahon Compound, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 6pm
Alexa Bliss had planned to join Seth and Bianca in New York but the Ortons interrupted her plans and told her to go back to the McMahon Compound in Florida. She took Seth's prayer shawl and followed the Ortons' instructions to the letter. She had been given the responsibility to recover all of the jewels Stephanie had taken from her husband and God had authorised this. The reason she was given the task and not Seth was simply because Seth was in no condition to do anything after his fight with Sasha Banks. It was up to Alexa to carry out the mission even though she was officially no longer working with Seth on ATM's behalf. She was pretty much back to being Alexa Bliss again and was very interested in dating a certain Phenomenal One now that she was no longer on assignment with Seth Rollins.
The repeatedly postponed date with AJ Styles would have to wait until she had commandeered the jewels which needed to be taken away from the McMahon-Hardy family immediately. Stephanie, Jeff and Bayley must have had some bad plans with those jewels. As the Ortons had told her she was able to get into Steph and Jeff's bedroom without the alarm going off. She went through their bedroom window under cover of darkness and retrieved the jewels and headed back to New York City where the Ortons were throwing a party for some reason.
"What is so important about these jewels?" she said to herself while flying back to New York City on Seth's prayer shawl. "I mean they're pretty but all they do is sparkle,"
They do a lot more than that the Holy Spirit said to Alexa who nodded and headed to the Ortons with a great sense of urgency. She may not have understood why the jewels were so important but she knew she had to get them to the Ortons right away.
The Rock's house, Los Angeles, CA, 2pm
Sasha Banks put down her luggage while Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose carried the rest of it up the steps of The Rock's mansion. John Cena was also staying with the Great One; it was just easier than flying back and forth between meetings if they were all co-located. Sasha was there for a different reason, she was there for company while she was pregnant. Now that she had separated from Seth she needed to be around as many people as possible, she had no idea when she was going to make up with Seth and she only intended to meet up with him if it was absolutely essential, I.e, for pregnancy sex. For now that was the furthest thing from her mind as she patted her pregnant stomach, "Its just you and me and my boys now baby," she said and she joined Roman and Dean in a Shield fist bump.
"We're all in this together Sasha," Roman assured the Boss who nodded appreciatively.
"We got you lil' man," Dean said to her unborn child. "At least until Seth get's his head out of Bayley's a**,"
"We do not say my husband's name," Sasha reminded Dean. She promised herself she would not trash her husband in public, only God had that privilege. It was hard for Roman and Dean not to trash Seth; they were really mad at him for kissing Bayley after what she did to Sasha. Like Sasha herself, they didn't understand why he did it, all the knew was that he did it and as married men they couldn't get passed how much he hurt his pregnant wife by doing what he did.
"Don't worry we won't trash Seth in front of the baby or you," Roman said and they carried Sasha's stuff to one of The Rock's many guest bedrooms. The Great One wouldn't be home for awhile but they were about to welcome a guest with fewer muscles but who was just as tough.
"Hi Mrs Rollins, welcome back to Los Angeles," came the sarcastic voice of LC Michaels, wife of Cameron Michaels, HBK's firstborn son.
"Hi LC nice to see you," Sasha said hugging the curvy blond with the uncanny resemblance to her father Triple H minus his nose. "What brings you here?"
"I'm just here for protection," LC said and Sasha frowned.
"Are you in hiding or something?" she asked the DX kid.
"No I'm here to protect you," LC said and she stepped closer to the Boss. "and the baby you're currently carrying,"
"I have Roman and Dean for that no offense LC but you're barely taller than me, if someone breaks into the house you will not be the person I'll be screaming for," Sasha said.
"Judging someone by their height, yeah that's getting really old. Sasha I have more power than Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose combined but I'm not here to protect you from a physical attack, I'm here to protect you from a spiritual one," LC explained.
"Okay I just got back from New York City and I'm trying not to mentally murder anyone so I'm a just tell you straight: I don't need your help. I am done with you Christians telling me and my family what to do," Sasha said firmly.
"I've been protecting this family for over a decade Sasha and I'm not about to stop because you don't have the Gift of Prayer," LC said and Sasha got emotional. "The only reason you're here right now is because you envy Seth's Gift from God and you don't understand the calling on his life. I'm here to change all that; by the time we're through, you're gonna worship the ground your husband walks on,"
"You expect me to worship my husband? Do you have any idea who you are talking to LC? I am the Boss and I worship no-one," Sasha said.
"We're about the same age so let me give you a little history lesson. When you and Seth were paving your path to wrestling glory I was battling demons and closing portals opened up by the devil so he couldn't get to my family. I have had three attempts at infanticide while I was pregnant with my baby Faith Star and I survived every single one of them. The only reason I survived those attacks was because I was surrounded by people who knew how to pray and do spiritual battle on my behalf. If I leave you will never see Seth again, is that what you want Sasha?" LC said firmly.
"No of course not," Sasha said. "We just had a fight, I don't want to leave him forever,"
"I'm glad you said that because you need to say that a lot more from now on. Coming here was a mistake but you'll make up for it after I'm done with you. Envy is a sin and you had no right to make your husband feel bad for doing the right thing in saving Bayley's life. You left the only protection you needed all because you're immature and you have a lot to learn about how to be a wife," LC said.
"You mean I have a lot to learn about being a Christian wife, right?" Sasha said. "I believed in God when I married Seth, now I don't know if I want a life where I have no control or say or influence over what my husband does,"
"Listen to me Jezebel - " LC said derisively.
" - ease up Lisa she's newly married she doesn't understand what that means," Cameron counselled his wife.
"You have no right to control Seth Rollins, you can call yourself the Boss all you want but when it comes to your marriage, you are his wife and there is a big difference. God will use you too but you have to submit to your husband, do you even know what submission is?!" LC said passionately.
"Sure my finisher is a submission," Banks replied smugly.
"Uh!" LC said throwing up her arms in frustration. "I am not talking about a wrestling move, I try to ignore the fact that I'm part of a mega wrestling dynasty it saves me from being arrogant. How about you take a page out of my book and stop thinking like a wrestler when you should be thinking like a wife?"
"Meaning I should flutter my eyes like a moron and smile when my husband kisses other women all in the name of salvation?" Sasha said.
"If you had given Seth a chance to explain he would have told you that he kissed Bayley to find out if it was really her. She was demon possessed he was kissing an astro-projected spirit. Bayley was being chanelled by Hayworth's ex-girlfriend. If Seth hadn't kissed Bayley she would have died for no reason whatsoever," LC said.
"No reason whatsoever?! I guess you're not very close to your father otherwise you would know what Bayley's been putting us through this year. There's a reason why Remi and RJ wanted her dead because she deserves it. She deserves to die for trying to take away the only thing in my life that means anything to me," Sasha declared.
LC took a deep breath, she almost felt like swearing. Sasha's immaturity was astounding and it was all due to them being the same age, "I need to calm down before I lose my salvation," she said to Cameron who decided to take over, "I mean she's not stupid but she's close to it,"
"Cameron please I can't deal with anymore Christianese, now please go home and leave me alone," Sasha said.
"Sorry I care about you and Seth and your baby too much to leave you now," Cameron said and Sasha shook her head.
"But we're not family we're not even related," Sasha argued. "Why do you care if I get attacked or not? How does it affect your life?"
"I'm a Christian we tend to think of others more when they're not related to us. We love people more than we love those we consider to be family. To us, you're family and we won't give you anything less but the very best advice," Cameron said.
"I don't need advice I just need a break, I just needed to get away from New York City that for the past few months is nothing but a constant reminder of my past. The whole thing with Bayley started in New York and it just has no end. I don't want my marriage to revolve around another woman, is that so wrong?" Sasha pleaded.
LC and Cameron smiled at her, "We understand your frustration but Seth gave his life to Christ. He is under a mandate to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and nothing he's done so far has been wrong. For example, how do you think it looked when Mary showed up pregnant when everyone knew that Joseph was not the father? It looked pretty bad to most people I'm sure but the Truth is she was the mother of Jesus Christ. Just because something looks scandalous doesn't mean it actually is. I think we can all agree that Mary was not cheating on her husband when she had Jesus right? So why would you think Seth is cheating on you when all he did was kiss a woman you used to care about as much as he does? Don't let your fantasy life corrupt your marital life; things are not what they seem Sasha, in fact, they're a lot better than they look," Cameron said.
"You just need the Lord to open your eyes and see things from the perspective of eternity. If you saw things that way there's no way you would be okay with Bayley going to Hell," LC added and Sasha sat down on a chair in the foyer.
"I tried to see things from God's perspective. Seth has done nothing but pray for Bayley for months and she still got what she wanted," Sasha said shaking her head.
"What do you think she's got that you haven't got?" LC asked. "She's not having Seth's baby you are, what could she possibly have that's better than that?"
Sasha looked up at LC and Cameron with tears in her eyes but they were hot tears due to her anger, "She has his heart. He would literally do anything for her. If I had even an inch of that, why isn't Seth with me right now?"
LC and Cameron took a deep breath, this was a hard conversation for a happily married couple to have with a young newlywed who was so far off the spiritual mark she was falling behind and they would have to bring her back up to speed and quick before she started ruining her own marriage.
"Let's pick this up tomorrow," Cameron finally said after a long pause.
"Yeah I think we've said enough for one day, Sasha please don't turn us away. Let us help you. We have seen it all in this family, we don't want to make things worse we are Truly here out of love. Can we come by and see you tomorrow?" LC asked her kindly.
Sasha was frozen in her own angry thoughts; all she could see was Seth and Bayley kissing, even though she never saw them kiss. Just the thought of it made her angry; her imagination was running away with her and she couldn't stop it. Seth was a very good kisser and the idea of him kissing Bayley was infuriating no matter what the reason behind it was. To LC it was clear that Banks was having a problem with submission but hopefully after a few conversations with her and Cameron she would change her perspective and realise how unselfish what Seth did was.
"He wants to f*** her," Sasha said and LC and Cameron almost collapsed at her foul language.
"We'll be back," LC said and she hurried out of the house with Cameron. They closed the door behind them and prayed for the angel of the Lord to stand guard at the Rock's house.
"I always knew there was a reason God wanted us to live in LA. Sasha needs help and hanging around with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose is not going to make her feel any better," LC said.
"She thinks Seth's in love with Bayley, you know there's more to this than just the kiss right?" Cameron said.
"I sure do; Sasha is reacting to something that hasn't even happened yet," Lisa said.
"We'll get her back on track let's go home and see Faith Star and Nana Jo," Cameron said and the DX kids went home to be with their daughter and grandmother, both who were the product of happy marriages to men with great legacies that were always being threatened by an angry, bitter, self-destructive and ultimately unfaithful women.
The Ortons, New York City, NY, 10pm
Alexa Bliss entered the Ortons' home with Shawl and entered their dining room that was buzzing with the sound of laughter and happiness. Seth Rollins was one of those happy people so Bianca Belair had cheered him up just like she knew she would.
"I knew I could count on you E S T," she said coming over to the Braided Queen of Muscle.
"Where have you been?!" Bianca snapped at Bliss pulling her over to a corner out of Seth and Montez' sight. "Do you know how much trouble your absence has caused?!"
"What happened, Seth looks great!" Bliss said smiling.
"He moved in with us!" Bianca said and Bliss fell to her knees in laughter. "Get up!"
Bianca pulled Bliss to her feet but the Lil Great One was beyond tickled by the news that Seth was moving in with Belair. Seth saw the exchange between them both and came over to her to see what the fuss was about.
"What's going on over here?" he asked Bliss who tried to talk but she was laughing too much.
"I gotta – I gotta go see Trish and Randy," Bliss said and Seth knew why.
"Why don't we come with you?" Seth said an frowned at him.
"No we don't have to go I'm sure she knows how to find them," Bianca said but Seth already had her by the arm and was shuffling her towards the Truth Couple with Bliss.
Eventually Belair found herself in Trish and Randy's bedroom admiring how stylish it was. It was the perfect blend of simple and elegant, not complicated at all unlike her relationship with Seth Rollins.
When they entered their own bedroom together Bianca wondered if there wasn't more to her invitation to the Ortons' home then she realised. It was strange that Bliss was gone all that time and now they were all together for some reason.
"Okay let's do this," Trish said and Alexa handed her the jewels.
"Seth untie Bianca's braid," Randy said as Alexa sa down in front of Trish's dresser mirror.
Trish uncovered the jewels and together Trish and Randy prayed over them while Seth unwrapped Bianca's braid. Once the braid was loose and the Ortons were finished praying, Trish gave the jewels to Seth. Bianca looked up at him.
"What's going on Seth?" she asked him curiously.
"All will be revealed," Seth replied and he wove the jewels into EST's braid. There were a lot of them and they were all different colours. Seth wove them in tight so they didn't move and when he was done Belair had a braid full of multi-coloured jewels if appraised cost more than most countries had to spend.
"Now we wait," Randy said and Alexa smiled a touched her hair in the mirror.
"Wow it looks so pretty Seth you did a good job," she said impressed.
"You ain't seen nothing yet," Seth replied and the jewels started to sparkle really brightly.
"Yes!" Alexa said jumping up and down in celebration of Bianca's new Gift. "Its working just like you said it would!"
Seth watched as Bianca's eyes started to sparkle, then her skin, her fingers and her mouth. Trish and Randy had told him this would happen, they even showed him a picture of it from the future. It was a prophetic picture God had given Randy and now he saw it manifest in front of his own eyes.
"Give me Shawl," Seth said to Alexa who handed him his prayer shawl excitedly and he wrapped Shawl around E S T's shoulders and prayed over her. "Bianca Belair, you have been given a Gift from God that will make you able to keep secrets. No-one will be able to trick you into disclosing private information and you will know things but you will tell no-one. You now have the Gift of Trust. From this day forward you will be known by God as th – Every Secret Thing. Together we will protect our friends and family from evil intentions and the plots and schemes of our enemies. What God tells you will be worth more than life itself and people will be willing to tell you things they haven't told their closest friends. The power you hold is for the DX family and these jewels I've woven into your hair are for safe keeping because they are worth more to the DX family than even they realise. So God has entrusted you with their safekeeping. E S T, welcome to the world of spiritual warfare, my beloved treasurer and my most trusted friend,"
Seth kissed her forehead as she fell forward in complete submission to the will of God. Seth wrapped her up in his prayer shawl and put her in Trish and Randy's prayer closet so she could spend time alone with the Holy Spirit.
Alexa wiped tears from her eyes. "I can't believe God had this planned even back at Full Sail. Is God awesome or what? Her life is going to change forever!"
"Yes it is awesome but God will use anyone who is willing to submit to His will. I just hope her husband won't try to interfere in what God's doing," Trish said giving Seth a warning glance. "The enemy is mad, he didn't want this to happen and he will do anything to destroy her life. Make sure that doesn't happen while you're living with them,"
"You got it," Seth said confidently. "I just hope LC and Cameron can do the same with Sasha,"
Randy scowled at the mention of the Boss, "You know it should be her being Gifted right? Your wife is the most selfish woman I know, she made this all about her. You shouldn't have married her Seth," he said firmly and Seth shrugged.
"I love her Randy and love never fails," he replied with the wisdom of Jesus Christ.
Randy stepped towards Seth firmly, "This isn't about you Seth. This isn't about you and Sasha, this is about the DX family and the responsibility God has given us to protect them. In battle if you are not in position people can get seriously hurt, so you can stand there and tell me that you love your wife but if she doesn't get in position and fight this battle with us, we all fail," Randy said.
"So what are you saying Randy, that almost sounded like a threat?" Seth asked.
"There's nothing more that needs to be said right now but if your wife gets in the way of our mission one more time, I'll ask God to give you a reason to screw Bayley for real," Randy said and Seth laughed out loud.
"I know its hilarious, sleeping with Bayley would be like drinking poison and expecting to live," Alexa Bliss said. "Speaking of crazy chicks, does anyone know where Stephanie is right now? She wasn't in Florida when I was there,"
"She's making her next move but don't worry we'll be ready, let's go enjoy the rest the party. Seth why don't you stay here and wait for Bianca to come out of our prayer closet?" Trish said to Seth who nodded.
"You got it Aunt Truth," Seth said and Trish came over to him while Randy and Alexa joined the party.
"There's just one thing I have to tell you about Bianca's Gift," Trish said and Seth listened intently. "She has supernatural hearing, she'll literally be able to hear conversations taking place in other parts of the country. Also, Charlotte Flair is going to seduce her husband so be ready to support her when that happens. She's really going to need you next year Seth, if I were you I wouldn't worry about Sasha until its time for you to have the baby. You need to spend most of your time making sure Belair makes it out of this assignment in one piece and not with her marriage in trouble like yours is right now,"
That was not what Seth wanted to hear but it wasn't his fault. Because of Sasha's immaturity they were going to go into the New Year apart.
"Thank God for pregnancy sex," he said to himself with a smile and he sat by the window looking out at the sky and waited for Bianca to emerge as his new best friend with a Gift from God hidden in her hair. A few minutes later Bianca emerged from the closet, his prayer shawl still wrapped around her shoulders. She had tears rolling down her face and even her tears were sparkling.
"Hey," she said emotionally. "So you had this whole thing planned?"
"I didn't know anything until the Ortons told me about the prophetic picture God had shown them but I'm sure happy about it." Seth said and Bianca nodded.
"I am too now I finally have an iron clad excuse to spend time with you," she said and Seth nodded.
"You sure d – Every Secret Thing," Seth said. "You said you were good at everything so you gonna be good at keeping secrets too, I have every confidence in you just like I did in Alexa. You will pass your assignment from God with flying colours,"
"Well I do have lot of colours in my hair right now and I'll be flying around on that prayer shawl with you, you sure know how to braid white boy," E S T said.
"That's God boy," Seth corrected her and she smiled at him fondly and gestured to his lap.
"Can I have this seat?" she asked him flirtatiously.
"I've been thinking about having pregnancy sex with my wife for the past half an hour so probably not right now," Seth said.
"I can't wait til I get pregnant," E S T said and Seth remembered what Trish told him about Charlotte seducing Montez. He pulled her down onto his lap and stroked the side of her face lovingly.
"I'm here for you too," he told her speaking of her future, a future she knew nothing about. "I'm going to protect you as much as I can if you'll let me,"
"Protect me? Seth you're the one with problems in and out of your marriage I don't need protection," she affirmed and Seth didn't say anything, he just led her onto his chest and prayed for her. She curled up against him when he said "Amen" feeling so peaceful she didn't want to get up.
Things were going to get rough but as long as he was there everything was going to be alright.
Belair looked up at Seth as she rested against his chest "Are you thinking about Sasha right now?" she asked him.
"No was thinking about you," Seth replied and that was the Truth.
