When Ron arrived, I insisted on being fiscuffed. The ride to the Police Station was soothing. There they would be able to contain me on a cell and I wouldn't be able to do more harm.

Ronman led us to a small room, classic interrogation chamber, with the bar to chain the convicts. I took my wrists close to the bar and he gave me a deadpan stare.
-"Wait here, buddy."

He exited the room and left the door ajar. I grasped the bar and performed a minor incantation to make the fistcuffs meld againt the bar.
Now firmly secured, I let out a bone weary sigh.

The door came wide open and I heard her wheelchair, Ron tailing her. He closed the door and placed three coffees on the table.
-"Pay up."

That came up from the left field.
-"What?"

Karrin dug out a Franklin from her wallet and passed it to his open hand. Ron made a show of fanning himself with it.

Karrin eyed the metal bar and my impromptu improvement.
-"Sugar, if you like to play like that-" She winked. " I got several at home."

I was struck like a deer in the headlights. "Em, no, yes , I mean, its ...wait. What do you mean?"
She licked her lips, I kid you not.

Ron answered this one.
-"Did it not occur to you that the ride took a bit longer than expected?"
He sipped his coffee, smearing his moustache.
"Fancy that the station is nowhere near the park, and we passed over three parks."

The table resonated when my forehead drummed on the metal.
-"Thank you. I needed a bit of peace before joining the other inmates."

I didn't see it yet it was deafening. The fistcuffs dropped to the table.
I looked up in confusion.
-"What are you doing?"

Karrin blew over her cup. She raised her index.
-"We interrogated them and they admitted to charges of trespassing,-"
Another finger.
" attempted murder, -"
Another.
" attempted kidnapping, possession of illegal weapons with adulterated numbers…."
She continued listing a bible of crimes that would have made Voldemort proud. She took a sip and her expression changed. Her voice became warmer.
-"Charity told us how your first impulse was covering her and your nephew with your body. She placed great emphasis how you charged unarmed against weapon toting criminals."

I had no bile left, my will utter spent.
-"I'm a monster. I swore an oath to nurture life and -" my voice cracked "- I broke it in the most heinous way." My lips became dry, yet I needed to say it. "I killed, hence I am a murderer."

Ronnikiens took out a bag of tobacco and looked to Karrin. They both shared some kind of convo in Cop-speak.
-"These investigations can take a while, and our cells are full at the moment. You will be placed in custody 24/7 awaiting the date for Court. Do you understand these terms?"

-"Yes."

He dug out a piece of paper and placed a pen in front of me.
-"This is your notification. You are to remain chained with your designated Officer at all times. Sign here."

I took the pen and signed.

-"Turn around facing the wall."

I did as requested and felt the steel capturing my wrists.

Ron opened the door and we three marched across the station.
-"Ron, there! That cell is empty."

Karrin answered.
-"Reserved for minors."

I saw other one with only one dude.

Ron replied.
-"You are too dangerous to share a cell with others."

-"You are right. I could ….I could snap….please don't...don't let me hurt more people."

He grunted.
-"That's why you will be under stricter surveillance. You will be chained to a Police Officer the whole time."

Karrin got burnt with her coffee, I could hear her spluttering behind us.
"-...crap..."

I saw another empty cell.
-"Here, quick, that one is empty!"

Karrin shot that down too.
-"These bars are corroded. You can snap them apart."

I shook my head.
-"My word, your department is seriously underfunded."

When we reached the main entrance I craned my neck around.
-"Who is going to watch over me."

I heard another set of fistcuffs being fastened and felt the tug in my wrists.

-"If you thought I would let you a second outta my sight, you got another thing coming, baby."
I whirled in place. There was Karrin chained to me, a devious smile playing on her lips.

Ron took out my signed notification and his pen. He started marking dots.
-"Two cartoons of milk, a jug of juice...ah...I was missing a bamboozled wizard."
He grinned.

-"You bastard."
