A/N: Well, even though I'm not going to do terminals, I am going to do the ones in Keyes and the final one. Night Raid is ignorant of the dangers of the flood so it would make sense for them to react to THAT terminal. Keep in mind, there won't be any nightmare chapters since I will not do it and this is only just a reaction fanfiction. Sorry for the rant, I need to keep that in mind if anyone wants that.
P.S. I also want to thank ExcalibutShooter for his suggestions and dude, you should collaborate with me soon.
Disclaimer: I do not own Akame ga Kiru and Halo. They belong to their rightful and respectful owners.
Somewhere in a private area in Night Raid's HQ, Delta and Dorothea were having a talk about her abnormalities. And things started to piece together.
"I see now, how unfortunate. You were driven by fear of ageing Reclaimer that you resulted in modifying your own body from maturing. I find that highly dangerous and also very unethical even by Forerunner standards. Doing such things, especially with the volatile toxic blood of Danger Beast is quite mad and in the long run, you may end up finding that it will have several major flaws and complications that such things will do to your human anatomy like origin complications, loss of brain function, cancers, even cell degradation. You may have ended up damaging your reproductive system already." Delta revealed to Dorothea after hearing what she did to herself. Dorothea looked sadden by this that her old experiments would only end up backfiring on her and that she stopped herself from ageing for nothing.
"However, I do have solutions for this." She looked up at the monitor. "I will develop some vaccines that will counter these effects and an antidote. However, once I apply them to you, you will begin to mature again." Dorothea just sadly nodded as she would begin to grow old again.
"But on the bright side Reclaimer, it will expand your lifespan by three human centuries and your body will stop maturing at the human age of 30 and it will repair any damages done to your body's systems including reproduction." Dorothea's eyes brighten up and she hugged Delta while weeping in joy.
"Thank you so much Delta for your kindness to someone like me who didn't deserve it!2 she exclaimed.
"You're welcome Reclaimer. I just wanted to help." She said cheerfully. "I shall get started on the antidote as soon as possible, but for now, let's return to the others. They will be wondering about us."
"Alright, thank you again." And with that, Delta and Dorothea began walking back to the Death Battle room.
Back at the room, all of them saw Dorothea and Delta, both seemingly in a happy mood. She told them that her experiments were for nothing but the monitor will make some antidote for her, which was a huge move for everyone. But she never revealed about the second part the monitor told her.
As soon as the two went back to their sitting, or rather in Delta's case flying spot, Tatsumi, Akame, Lubbock and Kurome grabbed the controllers and soon began to play the next mission. But before they do that, Delta has something to say.
"This will be the last terminal, Reclaimers." She declared.
"Wait, why?" Wave asked.
"Because the game that I received only had that much." She answered as she knows what will come for them in the next one.
Would Have Been Your Daddy...
(Cutscene)
Fade in to the interior of a large Forerunner dome. The camera pans down to a long shaft. A Grunt Minor paces on an open platform. Close up of the walking Grunt Minor, while other Grunts are sleeping around him. He stops as he hears jets, he sniffs the air, and yelps as a Pelican rises up from the chasm in front of him, screams and runs towards the door.
{Gameplay}
Carol "Foehammer" RawleyCOM: "This is as far as I can go."
CortanaCOM: "Roger that, we'll be able to find our way to the Control Center from here."
FoehammerCOM: "Good luck. Foehammer out."
The Pelican hovers at the edge of the platform, the four gets out. They then proceed into a series of circular rooms and begins clearing them of Covenant, with neither of them dying in the process.
"Man, this is easy." Lubbock said as he shot a grunt dead in the head.
"Try not to get too cocky." Najenda warned as she puffed out a small smirk.
Cortana: "The Covenant presence here is stronger than I anticipated. They seem to have the entire region secured."
The group soon emerges emerges onto a bridge, where they discover that it is snowing.
Cortana: "Interesting... the weather patterns here seem natural, not artificial. I wonder if the ring's environment systems are malfunctioning... or if the designers wanted the installation to have inclement weather. "
"So, this installation can make the weather natural?" Dorothea questioned as she makes another note on the Forerunner construct.
"Indeed, the Forerunners were Master builders." Delta answered.
"Were?" She looked at the monitor.
""You'll know soon enough." Delta added.
A Pelican Dropship flies over the bridge. The Covenant forces on the bridge open fire.
Fire Team Zulu SergeantCOM: "This is Fire Team Zulu requesting immediate assistance from any UNSC forces. Does anyone copy? Over."
Cortana: "I didn't think there were any human forces left on this part of the ring."COM"Cortana to Fire Team Zulu, I read you. Fire Team Zulu, this is Cortana. Hold position. We're on our way."
Fire Team Zulu SergeantCOM: "Roger that. Make it quick."
The Pelican descends to an area below the bridge.
The group enters another structure and descends to the ground level, where they return to the canyon. A large number of Covenant have three Marines with an overturned Warthog cornered. A Covenant Wraith tank fires plasma mortars as Shade turrets and Ghost vehicles strafe the Marines.
Marine: "Glad you could join the party, sir!"
"Hell yeah!" Lubbock said as he picked up a sniper rifle and killed an Elite major.
"Man, this stuff is good." Tatsumi picked up a rocket launcher and destroyed a wraith.
After enemies in the area are eliminated
Marine: "They gave it their best shot, but they didn't count on running into the biggest squad of Marine bad-asses in the Corps!"
They find a second group of Marines fighting near a Scorpion tank, in which Kurome boards while the others supress their fire with their weapons. With their assistance they clear the area.
Marine: "Enemy forces eliminated. The area's secure."
Fire Team Zulu Sergeant: "That's the last of 'em - area secure. Stand down, team! They did their damnedest, that's for sure. This is all that's left of my platoon! The Covenant are down here in force... and they brought plenty of toys! I wouldn't have given us a snowball's chance until you showed up, Chief."
"Yeah." Mine said.
The four and the Marines advance.
Marine: "Aw, crap. Let's get the hell outta here, man! Somebody call the dropship!"
Marine: "Shut up! Show some backbone, amigo!"
CortanaCOM: "Negative, team. No evac available at this time. But the Chief and I could use some assistance."
Fire Team Zulu Sergeant: "Okay, Marines. Time to pay back the Chief for pulling your sorry tails out of the fire. Prepare to move out!"
Tatsumi, Lubbock, Akame and Kurome reaches a second large open area, where one Wraith hovers on the ice and another lurks on top of the cliff at the far end of the canyon.
Marine: "Bloody hell! Enemy forces have armor support... it's time to earn our pay."
"I'll take care of that." Kurome fired at the first wraith.
"Thanks." Tatsumi, Lubbock and Akame said as they killed the enemies near the tank's position.
Marine: "Looks like that armor wasn't so tough after all! Let's mop up the rest of 'em!"
The group enters the tunnel, and comes across a large cavern. More Covenant wait inside.
Marine: "More Covenant sighted! Man, these guys are like cockroaches..."
The group crosses the cavern and exits into another tunnel, which soon turns into a rocky slope heading upwards. Unfortunately, Lubbock was killed when a grenade was struck onto him.
"Oh what the hell!" he retorted.
Rolling Thunder
Akame, Kurome and Tatsumi clears the area and Lubbock spawned back, including the fourth Wraith of the level.
Fire Team Zulu Sergeant: "You monkeys almost look like golden boys!"
Some of them giggled at that.
Marine: "Damn straight!"
They come across two Hunters chasing after a squad of Marines and Sergeant Stacker, where the path switches back and goes down to a frozen river leading to the cave to the last area of the second chasm. Akame and Kurome dealt the killing blow
Cortana: "I thought the Covenant had eliminated all the Marine forces in this area."
After Kurome engages and defeats the Hunters, a Covenant Spirit appears from behind the cliffs and drops in on the ridge he just descended from.
Marine: "Anybody else hear that? Aw, man... Covenant dropship inbound, take cover!"
The group nears some switchbacks leading up to final area of the second chasm.
Marine 2: "Master Chief, the Covenant have stationary guns dug up in those rocks!"
The group eliminates all enemies in the area, including a Banshee and two Ghosts, and approaches a door in the cliffs.
CortanaCOM: "Cortana to Fire Team Zulu. I've sent a distress signal tagged with your current position. Hold your position and await evac. The Master Chief and I are going to continue on ahead."
Marine: "That's affirmative! Fire Team Zulu out!"
The group battles their way through more interior areas and across two more bridges.
Cortana: "Resistance appears to be increasing. We must be close to the Control Center."
John reaches a door to the third chasm.
If I Had a Super Weapon...
Cortana: "Analyzing. This must be the Control Room. Subtle. The entrance to the Control Room is at the top of that pyramid structure. Bring me up there and I should be able to get us inside."
With Kurome and Akame proceeding on the banshees, Tatsumi and Lubbock were slaughtered by the overwhelming force.
"Well done." Tatsumi looked at the sisters.
The sisters proceed through more inside areas before reaching the ground floor, where they once more emerge into the chasm. Lubbock and Tatsumi respawn back in when the two sisters killed all of the enemies while taking minimum damage
Cortana: "The entrance to the Control Room is at the top of the pyramid. Let's get up there. We should commandeer one of those Ghosts, we're going to need the firepower."
The four battles their way up the pyramid and through big doors into a large corridor, where he kills all of the Covenant inside, including a Zealot. The Zealot was killed when Akame splattered it with her banshee
Cortana: "Scanning... Covenant forces in the vicinity have been eliminated. Let's move on to Halo's Control Room."
Akame opens the final door.
"Ohh, let's see what the control looks like." Dorothea said in excitement.
"You're getting too interested into Forerunner stuff." Leone said.
(Cutscene)
Cortana: "This is it. Halo's control center."
John-117 walks through the door and to a control panel at the center of a circular glass walkway projecting into the middle of a massive open chamber. A holographic map of Halo surrounds a smaller holographic map of the system, which shows Basis and Threshold, and Halo itself between them. Also noticeable are the red areas shown on the lands of Halo, possibly indicating where the Flood is currently spreading.
Dorothea was amazed by the layout of the Control room. While the group looks at it and they' were confused.
"Okay, why doesn't this look a control room?" Wave wondered.
"Because each control room in an installation is unique." Delta answered as she knows a lot of them.
Cortana: "That terminal, try there."
John unplugs Cortana's chip from his helmet and places her chip in the terminal. A moment later, she appears above the display. Data streams out from her in all directions. Her eyes are now red and her body is green, shifting occasionally to blues/purples.
"Damn, I miss her figure." Lubbock exclaimed before he was punched by Leone. The monitor just looked at him before she looked back at the screen.
Master Chief: "You all right?"
Cortana: (smiles) "Never been better! You can't imagine the wealth of information. The knowledge... so much... so fast. It's glorious!"
"I cannot image what knowledge is there, Cortana!" Dorothea agreed as she cannot contain her excitement.
Master Chief: "So...what sort of weapon is it?"
Cortana: "What are you talking about?"
Master Chief: "Let's stay focused. Halo... how do we use it against the Covenant?"
Cortana: "This ring isn't a cudgel, you barbarian, it's something else... something much more important. The Covenant were right... this ring... it's Forerunner. Give me a second to access... yes, the Forerunners built this place, what they called a "fortress world," in order to... no, that can't be. Oh, those Covenant fools, they must have known, there must have been signs!"
"Wait, what?" Mine said as she and the other saw Cortana's reaction.
"Why was she acting like that?" Sheele asked the monitor.
"You're about to find out soon." Delta answered. But secretly cannot wait for their reaction on the flood.
Master Chief: "Slow down. You're losing me."
Cortana: "The Covenant found something, buried in this ring, something horrible, and now... they're afraid."
"Maybe it's some sort of experimental beast." Esdeath guessed from Cortana's reaction.
Master Chief: "Something buried? Where?"
Cortana: (looks horrified) "The Captain, we've got to stop the Captain!"
"Why is she horrified?" Tatsumi asked the monitor.
"As I said, you're going to find out soon." Delta stated.
Master Chief: "Keyes? What do we—"
Cortana: "The weapons cache he's looking for. It's not really— We can't let him get inside!"
Master Chief: "I don't understa-."
Cortana: "There's no time. Get out of here, find Keyes, stop him! Before it's too late!"
John turns and runs from the Control Room.
Level ends.
As the mission ends, many of them were speculating on what the weapons cache was. Akame, Kurome and Lubbock put down the controller.
"So, wanna make bets?" Leone asked and earned her the looks from everyone. "Yeah, sorry."
But before anyone could talk, the screen went static. Meanwhile, the Monitor knew that once they'll see the flood, it's going to change their view on them for a very long time.
"Final terminal." Lubbock and everyone looked at the screen.
Terminal Five
Computer Display is shown displaying "UPDATING REPORT".
343 Guilty Spark: "It has been 26 hours since the sentients landed in sector 1215,and so far they have not attempted to exit the remains of their vessel."
Now visible is the crash site of the vessel, burning brightly and obviously extremely damaged.
343 Guilty Spark: "I say "remains" because their landing was either not executed adequately or this vessel lacked significant maneuvering capability."
343 Guilty Spark: "The Visible Portions of the vessel have suffered catastrophic structural damage during the violent landing experience. I have detected atmospheric leaks in 17 distinct locations along the hull."
Guilty Spark starts scanning the wreckage .
343 Guilty Spark: "My analysis shows that the mixture of gases coming from the ship matches the natural on my installation almost exactly."
343 Guilty Spark: "Perhaps the occupants (If they still live) were originally cataloged here! Perhaps these beings will confirm that the plan was successful and the galaxy has returned to its proper cadence! I am beyond optimistic!"
Zooms in on Guilty Spark's scanning.
343 Guilty Spark: "But I do not understand why these sentients have not attempted to exit their vessel..."
Zooms back to see the channel in the ground that the ship dug out while landing.
343 Guilty Spark: "Other than the leaking atmosphere, the only thing emanating from the vessel is an automated distress call."
We now see the distress call being analyzed.
343 Guilty Spark: "I am currently analyzing this automated broadcast, but with such limited data-set, and no direct communication I do not anticipate full comprehension."
Now we see a star chart of the space around installation 04, with waves emanating from it.
343 Guilty Spark: "Given the short-range nature of this craft, it is like there are others nearby. But, in accordance with procedure, I am blocking the distress call. No communication of the location of any installation is permissible."
We now see 343 Guilty Spark again.
343 Guilty Spark: "I admit great curiosity about these visitors. While the plan is quite clear about procedure about this situation, I have my doubts. How many failure points can the plan sustain before blind adherence becomes counter productive? Surely, in light of all that has changed, I should be able to modify my responses to adapt-"
View of Halo's surface.
343 Guilty Spark: "No, I have my duties, and I have a terrible cargo here. I must be sure. I shall obey, and content myself to Monitor...I hope they come out soon, though. So many questions to ask! So many questions!"
Terminal end.
As the terminal ends, many of them were confused on what Spark was talking about. But soon, they let that though shrug it off.
Soon, Wave, Esdeath and Mine picked up the controller and quickly start the next mission to save the Captain from whatever weapons cache was there.
Well, I cannot wait for their reaction on the flood, where I will be writing their origins and their reactions. So, there's no more terminals until Keyes and the Maw. Speaking of reactions, I might do others, from DXD to other shows (NOT MHA). Write down in the reviews for any suggestion of what shows/anime will have the most shocking reaction of the origins of the flood.
