CH. 16

A/N: Hey and welcome back to Deliver Him from Eva. Guys! Were almost done can you believe it? Just one more chapter and it is all over. Fair waning, this will more than likely be short. So, I do apologize. As always, I do not/ have not/ probably nor will I ever own the rights to Welcome Back, Kotter or any of its characters and themes. Eva is mine though. Enough talking, onto the last chapter.

It has been over three months since Eva walked out on Freddie that faithful Saturday night at James Buchanan. It hurt her more than anything and she misses him a lot. Granted, she is growing tired of New York. Meanwhile, Freddie's world has kept on turning. It was difficult, but he is back on school, his friends, basketball, and he even took a few girls out on dates. He is still stuck on Verna and a little mad at Eva. He almost lost everything dealing with that girl. For her to walk out was like a cannonball to the stomach. Eva really wants to go see Freddie. So, she decides to call him one night out of the blue.

"Hello?" Freddie calls out into the receiver when he answers it. "Freddie? Hi it's Eva." Eva replies. Freddie is surprised to hear her voice. What does she want from him? "Eva? What's going on?" Freddie asked not wanting to sound completely rude. Even if she deserves it. "Nothing too serious. Could we meet up at the diner? I really need to speak with you." Eva asks. She sounds serious. Freddie is intrigued by what she has to say. "Sure? I can meet you up tomorrow after school. Is that okay?" Freddie checks in. "Yeah tomorrow is fine. See you tomorrow." Eva confirms before hanging up.

Eva was nervous. As much as she wanted to talk with Freddie, she had no idea what to say to him. The next day, Eva preps to make sure she looks her best in a shorts and tank top set. The shirt was tied up in a knot in the center of her chest. She made it to the diner and grabbed a booth to sit in while she waited for Freddie. She thinks he probably will not show up. She does not really blame him. The ball was in his court as this point. She is surprised that he showed up. "Hi." Eva greets him shyly. To be honest, Freddie was surprised that he showed up. He just wants to hear what she has to say.

"Hey. What did you want to talk about?" Freddie asks cutting right to the chase. "I just wanted to say sorry for how I acted and treated you. It was wrong and way out of line." Eva apologized. "I forgive you. Anything else?" Freddie wonders. "Just one more thing. I am going to Paris in three days. I'm starting to feel cramped and out of place in this city." Eva starts. Freddie eyes widen in surprise. What did she mean? "Are you going on a trip?" Freddie asked. Eva shook her head. "No, to live." Eva chirps. "What? Why? Do you even know any French or have enough money to live there? Freddie wondered.

He knew Eva was bold, but this was extreme. "I am going to Paris to write and to be photographed. I am going with my photographer friend. He is paying my way. No, I do not know French. I can learn though. That is the beauty of freedom! I can do whatever I want without limitations. I want you to experience the same thing. Come with me?" Eva begged. Freddie was surprised. Has she lost her mind? "Excuse me? Go to Paris? I have school, family, friends, and basketball. Eva, I have not even graduated yet. I cannot drop all that to go to Paris with you.

That is selfish!" Freddie scoffs. "What about us? What about exploring the world?" Eva cries. "Us? Eva, there has not been an us in three months. Honestly, there never really was an us. I am not going to Paris with you" Freddie shook his head. Eva feels her heart shatter. She wants to be with Freddie but knows he is right. Plus, they were at two different pages in their life. "I understand. If you want to say goodbye, I will be at Grand Central Station." Eva explained as she comes to terms with the fact that they were not meant to be. "Okay. Goodbye, Eva." Freddie waves before leaving. "Goodbye, Freddie." Eva nods tearing up as she watches Freddie leave.

A/N: Aw poor Eva. Thank you all so much for reading the second to last chapter. Gosh I am so nervous. Thank you all so much for making this possible. You guys are amazing. Next week is the final chapter. Get ready. See you next Sunday. Bye guys!
