Hope and Emily sit at a table, while the other remaining duelists talk around them. Emily finishes her drink, and puts it down. "So, Kaiba punished you for, what exactly?" Asked Emily. "Entering the Schroder's into the tournament, so they can heal Mokuba. You know, being kind and helping others" Said Hope. "Ah yes, that being nice crime, enacted in, when was it?" Asked Emily. "10 seconds after the crime" Said Hope. "What's he punished you with?" Asked Emily. "I must use a totally new deck that I don't have registered. Witch means I can't use the Phi, Omega, Sigma, Alpha, Beta & Delta Deck, the Master/Mistress Deck, the Threat Beast Deck, the Ally of Miracle Deck or the Halfbody Deck" Said Hope. "You registered five decks?" Asked Emily. "Yes. Kaiba let me. Helper benefits" Said Hope, as Seto Kaiba walked onstage. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have arrived to announce the matches of the second round of the The Neo Kaiba Grand Prix. There will be three matches per day. The three matchs of tomorrow are Hope Xiao Rose vs Akiza Izinski, I myself, Seto Kaiba vs Blue Angel and the final match, Bohman vs Don Thousand. The other matches on for the next days are Joey Wheeler vs Dextra, Ai vs Marik Ishtar, Zigfried Von Schroder vs Yuma Tsukumo, Leon Von Schroder vs Earth, Emily Dual vs Aporia, Windy vs Jack Atlas , Gore vs Shay Obsidian, Yuya Sakaki vs Playmaker, Lightning vs Dr. Vellian Crowler, Aster Phoenix vs Revolver and the final round, Ghost Girl vs Yugo. I will see you all tomorrow" Said Seto Kaiba, before he walked offstage. "Even better, he won't eliminate me himself. He'll get my friend to do it" Said Hope, as Akiza walked over to Hope and Emily. "So it appears that we will be facing off in the next round" Said Akiza. "Yes, it appears so. Bring your best. I certainly will" Said Hope. "I will defeat you" Said Akiza. "You will certainly attempt to" Said Hope.
The next morning, in Hope and Emily's Room
"Do you have your deck ready?" Asked Emily. "I might" Said Hope, grabbing his dueldisk and a deck, putting it into his dueldisk. "Funny. Well, everyone appears to be outside. Ready to face your exacution?" Asked Emily. "You know, when you say it like that, it sounds like I'm going to lose the duel" Said Hope. "You might" Said Emily, as Hope and Emily left their room and walked to join their friends. "I won't" Said Hope. "Hey. You aren't dueling someone like Duke Devlin, Para, Dox, Misty, Iggy or Weevil Underwood. You are dueling Akiza" Said Emily. "Yeah, I know. It's gonna be more of a passion project then a simple fix, so I can't assume I'll win and just win" Said Hope. "I think you're right" Said Emily. "The cat isn't out of the box yet, Emily. We don't truely know if it's dead" Said Hope, as Hope and Emily approached the crowd of duelists and join them. Kaiba then appeared and activated his dueldisk, as Blue Angel activated her duel disk. "Oh. I guess I was late" Said Hope. "No. My duel with Blue Angel is going first. I have changed your duel to be last." Said Kaiba. "Great" Said Hope. "Duel!" Declared Seto Kaiba and Blue Angel.
Turn 1: Blue Angel
Blue Angel draws. Blue Angel activates the spell card "Trickstar Vision", special summoning a "Trickstar" monster from her hand with its effects negated and attack points halved, then letting both players draw a card. She special summons "Trickstar Lilybell" (400/ 2000). Blue Angel activates the effect of "Trickstar Lycoris" in her hand, special summoning it (1600/ 1200), then returning a "Trickstar" monster she controls to her hand. She returns "Trickstar Lilybell" to her hand. As "Trickstar Lilybell" was added to her hand by a method other than drawing, Blue Angel activates its effect, special summoning it (800/2000). She special summons it to a zone "Trickstar Divaridis" points to. Blue Angel Tributes a "Trickstar Token" to Tribute Summon "Trickstar Birdhelm" (0/ 1800). As "Birdhelm" was normal summoned, Blue Angel activates its effect, inflicting 200 damage to Seto Kaiba (Seto Kaiba LP: 3600 LP), then drawing a card, however Blue Angel cannot conduct her Battle Phase this turn. She returns "Trickstar Birdhelm" to her hand. Blue Angel activates the effect of "Trickstar Birdhelm" in her hand, equipping it to a "Trickstar" Link Monster she controls. Blue Angel ends her turn.
Turn 2: Seto Kaiba
Seto Kaiba draws. Since a card was added to Kaiba's hand, the effect of "Trickstar Lycoris" activates (Seto Kaiba LP: 3400). Kaiba activates the effect of the "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" (3000/ 2500) in his hand, revealing a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in his hand to special summon itself to the field. Kaiba activates the ritual spell card "Chaos Form", tributing the "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in his hand to Ritual Summon "Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon" (4000/ 0). "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" attacks "Trickstar Divaridis" (Blue Angel LP: 2800). Bowman and Don Thousand move to where Seto and Blue Angel were, and started their duel. Hope and Emily sat down on a bench. "This tournament would be so much fun if Kaiba wasn't so worried about Mokuba" Said Emily. "You took the words out of my mouth. Although, I wouldn't actually say them. Feels like a mean thing to say" Asked Hope. "Well, how long has he been inflicted with what he's got?" Asked Emily. "RAD-4 is what he's got, and it's been around him for 5 weeks. His symptoms appear to be his perception of time being lowered by 1/8 and new violent tendencies. He's been sleeping for a while now, so I guess that is also a symptom. That's pretty much all I know" Said Hope. "How did you know it was called RAD-4?" Asked Emily. "Because I gave it the name. All I know is what I've observed" Said Hope. "How do you observe someone else perception of time being lowered?" Asked Emily. "With a clock, stopwatch, a pen and a piece of paper" Said Hope. "Ah, I understand. Anyway, I believe your match is up" Said Emily. "Amazing. Well, I'll see you some time after the match. Wether that is just after, or a few days after, is up to me" Said Hope, before he took up his space, as did Akiza. "Well, Akiza. It's either me or you. So don't expected it to be me" Said Hope. "Don't expect it to be me either. I've come a long way from our first and last one on one duel" Said Akiza. "As have I. Shall we begin?" Asked Hope. "I'll take the first turn" Said Akiza. "And I'll take the last" Said Hope. "Duel!" Declared Hope and Akiza.
Turn 1: Akiza
Akiza draws. Akiza normal summons "Blooming Bulb Bush" (1300/ 200) in attack mode. Akiza activates the effect of "Blooming Bulb Bush", sending a Plant Tuner monster from her deck to the graveyard to special summon a level 4 Plant monster from her hand. Akiza sends "Glow-Up Bulb" (100/ 100) to the graveyard and special summons "Lord Posion" (1500/ 1000). Akiza tunes her level 3 "Blooming Bulb Bush" with her level 4 "Lord Posion" to synchro summon her level 7 "Black Rose Dragon" (2400/ 1800). Akiza activates the effect of the "Glow-Up Bulb" in her graveyard, sending the top card of her deck to the graveyard, and special summoning it to her side of the field. Hope adds "The World That Never Was" to his hand. Hope activates the field spell card "The World That Never Was". Since "The World That Never Was" is on the field, "Organization IV: The Chilly Academic" is Unlock Summoned, changing its attack and defence points and giving it an effect (2000/ 500). Hope activates the effect of "Organization IV: The Chilly Academic", targeting "White Garden Wyvern" and making its attack points 0 (0/ 2800). "Organization IV: The Chilly Academic" attacks "White Garden Wyvern" (Akiza LP: 2000). Hope sets two card and ends his turn.
"Hope. That's not your usual deck" Said Akiza. "I know. It's my punishment. For helping Mokuba" Said Hope. "What do you mean?" Asked Akiza. "One of the reasons Zigfried and Leon are in this tournament is because I believe they can cure Mokuba of his illness. I made the deal to let them into the tournament. And for this, Kaiba has forced me to duel with a new deck for the rest of the tournament. Because I want a kid to be healthy. Sure, Zigfried may hate Kaiba, and Kaiba may hate Zigfried, but there is no reason for this, not when a life is on the line" Said Hope. "Hope..." Said Akiza. "It's your turn. Keep up the intensity. I don't wanna win with you unwilling to make a final blow" Said Hope.
Turn 3: Akiza
Akiza draws. Akiza activates the face down continuous trap card "Sanctum Upon the Rose Garden", special summoning "White Garden Wyvern" and "Black Rose Dragon" from her graveyard, however, they both become level 3 with 0 attack and defence points, but cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Akiza normal summons "Twilight Rose Knight" (1000/ 1000), and then uses its effect to special summon "Rose Princess" (1200/ 800). Akiza tunes the level 3 "Twilight Rose Knight" with the level 3 "Rose Princess" to synchro summon the level 6 "Beloved Queen of the Sanctuary" (2300/ 1500). Hope activates his face down trap card "Vector Zone", returning "Organization IV: The Chilly Academic" to his hand to make it so that all other cards on his side of the field can only be removed from his side of the field if they would go to the graveyard. Akiza tunes the level 6 "Beloved Queen of the Sanctuary" with the level 3 "White Garden Wyvern" and the level 3 "Black Rose Dragon" to Delta Accel synchro summon "Golden Bloom Bahamdia" (4000/ 3800). Akiza chooses not to activate the first effect of "Golden Bloom Bahamdia". "Golden Bloom Bahamdia" attacks Hope directly, but Hope activates his face down counter trap card "Heartless Angel: Sin Harvest", since Akiza attacks Hope with a monster that had equal to or more attack then Hope's life points, negating the attack and making Akiza's life points 1

"That card... It cannot be protected from card effects..." Said Akiza. "I know" Said Hope. "... I see. You tricked me into thinking that it was protected by Vector Zone so I wouldn't used the removal ability of Golden Bloom Bahamdia" Said Akiza. "No. That was... circumstantial. The main intention was to keep The World That Never Was on my side of the field. Golden Bloom Bahamdia would of put it on the bottom of the deck, I may of never gotten it back" Said Hope. "Couldn't you of gotten it back with NEO Organization 1: χ King No Heart?" Asked Akiza. "With what I'm planing for my next turn? No" Said Hope.
Turn 4: Hope
Hope draws. Hope normal summons "Organization IV: The Chilly Academic" (0/ 0) in attack mode. Since "The World That Never Was" is on the field, "Organization IV: The Chilly Academic" is Unlock Summoned, changing its attack and defence points and giving it an effect (2000/ 500). "I'm sorry. But I must make sure Zigfried and Leon can stay around long enough to heal Mokuba" Said Hope. "But they came in late. Can't they stay weather or not they lose?" Asked Akiza. "No. They've also been equipped with the teleporters that take you home when you lose. They will go back to Switzerland if they lose, and as I've learned, it's not exactly going through peaceful times among the people. See you soon" Said Hope, as Akiza was teleported away while the crowd spoke amongst themselves about the news.
