A/N: Hey guys, here you go! I can't believe that I'm already posting this chapter! We have a little under ten more chapters to go!

Chapter Eighteen: Prim

Once the group were finished with their lunch, Prim and the others walk back up to the Gryffindor common room. Seamus and Hallie were talking about what they should do once they were back in the common room. "I think I'm going to write to my family. We had made a deal on not writing until the first week was over."

"You miss them, don't you?" Seamus asked and Prim knew exactly what Hallie was going to say because she felt the same way. She missed her mum and brother and her grandparents and Kira. They have never gone this long without seeing each other and she was worried that Kira would completely forget about her. Yes, she has her new friends here at Hogwarts and they bring a whole new world to her; which means Kira is on the outside of Prim's new world.

Prim had completely stopped paying attention to what was going on around her and by the time she had realized that, they were at the portrait hole. Since she wasn't paying attention to what was going on, she wasn't able to say 'hello' to Elspeth.

The group of nine walk into the common room and Prim hears Seamus ask Hallie, "So, are you going to stay up here and write to them or are you going to come outside to write to them?"

"I think I would write much faster up here instead of outside. The noise from everyone would distract me. But we did promise Hagrid that we would come down to see him today or tomorrow, so I should be outside at some point." Hallie says with a small smile and Seamus nods his head. The girls say their good-byes to the boys before heading up to their dorm room. Once the girls were in their dorm room, both Hallie and Prim run over to where Midnight and Cleo were lounging. Prim had been surprised when they had never seen the cats come down the stairs but she figured that they were still not used to all of the people around them daily. After the two girls got their fill of their familiars, they gather up their supplies for their letters. "Hermione, what are you planning on doing while we write to our family?"

Hermione smiled at them before answering, "I'm going to send a letter to my parents and sister as well. I was going to send one the day after we were sorted but classes had already gave out our homework and I didn't want to get behind."

"Like that could ever happened, Hermione." Prim said with a laugh and looked over at Ella. "What about you, Ella?"

"I still have some work to do on our Transfiguration essay, so I'll be working on that." Ella tells them with a shrug of her shoulders. Prim nodded and the four walked down the stairs and sat down at a table. Harry and Ron walked down a few minutes later and all of them got started on their letters.

Prim had decided to start on the letter to her mum first because she knew that would be the easiest letter to write.

Dear mum,

Can you believe it? I actually waited until Saturday to compose this letter to you. I'm very proud of myself because I miss you and everyone else so much. Well, I'm going to start with the train ride! We met this boy named Ron Weasley within moments of the train departing. He was actually a part of the huge family who showed us how to get onto the platform. He's okay, I guess, but he can be very insensitive at times and he is downright annoying when it comes time to do our homework. Anyways, we ended up running into a few people we had seen at Diagon Alley, so at least it wasn't like we didn't know anyone there.

So, once the train arrived at the Hogsmeade station, which is a cute little wizarding town that third years are allowed to visit, we took a boat to the castle! Because of us having to take a boat to the castle, Hallie and I were separated from Cleo and Midnight, which was awful! The view of the castle was magnificent, mum, and I wish so badly that you could have seen it with me. There are times that I feel somewhat guilty that I am able to enjoy all of this and yet you cannot… It sometimes doesn't seem fair but I'm glad that you are happy for me, mum, it means a lot. Since you cannot see the view, I'm going to try to describe it to you. The castle is huge, mum, at least eight or nine floors and there are over seven towers. And the view of the castle on the water was so beautiful. I'm going to draw it for you, one night, so you can see it for yourself! I wish I had thought of that before writing this letter to you, that way I could have already enclosed the drawing. Can you send some of my drawing supplies? I don't want to go on and on about how amazing this castle is but I want you to also experience Hogwarts with me. But because I still have to write my letters for Gran, Papa, Dudley, and Kira, I'll get on with it; but I promise, I'll send you a drawing of the castle.

Once we made it to the grounds and up into the school, we had to wait in the entrance hall before we could go and be sorted. Everyone was nervous on that because none of us knew how we were supposed to be sorted into the four houses, but Ron kept saying his older brothers (the set of twins) said that we had to battle a troll! Anyways, as we were waiting for the doors to open, another boy that we had seen while we were at Diagon Alley walked over to Harry and Hallie. He said some very rude things about Hermione and me and also a few rude things about Ron before Harry and Hallie defended all of us and said that they didn't want to be his friend! After that, the doors opened and we walked into the Great Hall, which was also beautiful! The ceiling is enchanted to show what the night's sky looks like, so it makes it seem like we are eating with no roof above us and there are floating candles everywhere! Oh, all we had to do to be sorted was sit on a stool while the sorting hat looked through our brain before shouting what our house was to everyone. Out of the five of us, I went first and the hat could not decide where to put me. He said (yes, the hat is a he and I only know that because his voice was manly) that I had a very good love for learning (Ravenclaw) and that I was extremely loyal to the ones I cared for (Hufflepuff); but he decided on Gryffindor because how brave I was to try to protect Harry and Hallie for all those years. Hermione, Harry, Hallie, and Ron were also placed into the same house as me. Along with them, we have three other boys and girls. Seamus Finnigan (which I think might have a crush on Hallie and likewise from her,) Dean Thomas, Neville and Ella Longbottom, Lavender Brown (I don't care much for her, to be honest,) and Parvati Patil. The dinner went off amazing and even though we miss Gran's cooking, we can get used to eating here.

The course load is already a lot for us and sometimes it is hard to finish on time. We've already have had to have some late nights to finish our homework. Though, just to let you know an old friend of Aunt Lily's is a teacher here. His name is Professor Snape and he says the two of you didn't like each other growing up. At first, he was hard on Harry, Hallie, and I because he didn't care much for you or their father but he realized that he shouldn't hold a grudge against the three of us just because of his past with you and Uncle James. To be honest, he is very hard on all of us here but we are learning a lot. We are learning a lot in all of our classes. In our Charms lesson, we learned how to make fire come out of our wands. So far, everyone in our year can produce the spell, but not as well as we all would like. Hallie is going crazy with trying to be perfect in both Charms and Potions (Professor Snape's class) because Aunt Lily was really good in both subjects. And Hallie is pretty good at both subjects. Hermione does well in each subject so far but that's because she studies all the time and Harry is so far extremely good at Defence Against the Dark Arts. Ron and I… We haven't really showed where we are good at yet but I'm sure at some point our strengths will show in one of our classes.

Now, we are not only friends with the other kids in our house. We've befriended a nice girl named Lisa Turpin. She loves learning and that's mostly why she is in the Ravenclaw house; but she is extremely nice and is very helpful when we are working on our essays. We ended up having a tiny wizard chess tournament with Seamus, Ella, and Dean today. It was girls verses boys and at the end, Hermione and Ron were the last two playing but they are both so good at chess that it ended in a tie.

How are things at home? Has Papa started on building something in the backyard? Have you heard anything about dad and the case against him? I know I shouldn't care but I do still love him. There are times that I feel guilty for loving and missing him because of what he did to all of us but the fact that I feel guilty because of that makes me feel even more guilty. Hallie says I shouldn't feel guilty about that because he is still my dad and that it's okay to still love and miss him. What do you think about that, mum? Do you think Hallie is right that I shouldn't feel guilty about missing him? I really miss you mum and I cannot wait for the Christmas holiday.

Love,

Prim

She pushed her letter to her mum aside before basically writing the same to her grandparents. Once she was done with their letter, she pulled a few sheets of notebook paper and a muggle pen over to her, so she could write to both Dudley and Kira.

Dear Dudley,

I can't believe I'm writing this, but I miss you so much! We were never close when we still lived with mum and dad but I'm glad we can finally get along now. How is school going for you? I'm sure you are finding your way there alright and that you are not getting into any trouble. At least, I hope you are not getting into any trouble. Are you still friends with Piers? Are you making any new friends there?

Being here at this school… It's amazing and I wished I could share this with you. Classes are hard but I'm getting the hang of them, slowly but surely. Have you had countless of homework yet? What about long nights? We have already had to write five essays! I guess you still wish you didn't get to come here.

Do you miss dad at all? I do at times but I feel like I shouldn't… He did terrible things and he doesn't deserve us, but I still love him… Hallie tells me that is understandable and that it's okay that I still love and miss him. That it doesn't make me a bad person, but how can it not? How are you dealing with all of this? You did kind of worship him at one point…

I really do miss you, Dudley, and it's not just because we are family. You're my twin… and I know we don't have the same type of bond that Harry and Hallie do but I think we could get there one day. See you when we all head home for Christmas holiday.

Love,

Prim

Once she signed her name, she pushed the paper to the side, so she could write her last letter.

Dear Kira,

I miss you so much! I don't think we have ever been this far apart before. How is your new school? Have you've made any new friends? Do you have a roommate? I have five! Of course, Hallie is rooming with me and our new friends, Hermione and Ella; and there are two other girls in our dorm… Lavender and Parvati. They are a mixture of every girl we never cared for during grade school. Do you have any of those girls at your new school?

The class work here is outrageous! We get homework almost every day and I rarely have time to draw. It sucks but I'm hoping that sometime soon, I will have the time to do so. Technically, I have the time to do so now, but I wanted to make sure I could write this and send it out to you. What about you guys? Have you had a lot of coursework to do? I just find it crazy how much I have yet to learn!

I'm glad that I can just send my letter straight to your school. I've heard that there are some schools that are very secretive and that they do not allow letters in from anyone but the students' parents. At first I thought that was how my new school was going to be until I had asked the Professor that is over my corridor if I had to have my letters only come from my family. You can send your letter to St. Meadows Academy, Lorredon Scotland. I'm so happy that I am able to write to you so easily. So, far Harry, Hallie, and I have a few friends here and Cleo and Midnight are having a blast together. Our Headmaster is completely okay with letting them roam during the days!

Are you guys allowed to have animals at your school? You've never told me if you could or not. Tell me everything about your school!

Love,

Prim

Once she signs Kira's letter, she folds all four letters and looks over at her cousins. Prim grabs a muggle envelope before filling it out. In the top left corner, she writes her return address.

Primrose Dursley

St. Meadows Academy,

Lorredon,

Scotland

And in the centre of the envelope:

Kira Williams

St. Montagne Academy,

Colombe,

France

Prim does the same for Dudley's letter before she stands up. "Harry, do you have a box that we can put all of our letters in?" He nods his head before he pulls a box out of his bag. All three of them put their letters together by the receivers' names and into the box before Harry places the top on and ties a string around it. As they were boxing their letters up, Cleo and Midnight come running down the stairs and over to where they were sitting. "I guess they must miss Hedwig and wants to see her before she leaves to take our letters to Gran, Papa, and my mum."

"Yeah, must be. Did you tell Dudley how much they missed Max?" Hallie asks as they watch their friends write their letters.

"No, I forgot to tell him! Please tell me that you wrote to him as well and told him!" Hallie smiles and nods her head 'yes' and Prim lets out a sigh of relief just has their friends had finished their own letters to their family. The group of five say goodbye to Ella before making their way towards the Owlry.

"Ron why did it take you so much longer to write to your family? Almost everyone in your family is already at Hogwarts." Hallie asks as they walk through the portrait hole, giving Elspeth a wave goodbye in the process.

Ron looks over at where Prim and Hallie were at before saying, "Well, most of my letter was actually for my little sister, Ginny. She hates the fact that she has to wait a whole year before she can come to Hogwarts… So, I was trying to not make her feel worse that she is basically all alone at our home. Sure, she has Reid there Monday through Friday but my mum is always there. And we love her a lot but sometimes mum is a tad bit overbearing… And with Ginny, that can be a bad combination. My sister… she's stubborn and loves to be independent but she's still my mum's only daughter and she's also the baby of the family. So, I guess I want her not to feel as alone there…"

Wow, that is actually pretty sweet of Ron… I didn't know he could be that sweet, Prim thinks as they try to find the Owlry. "Does anyone know where the Owlry is?" Prim asks as the gang walks out of the castle.

"Yeah, I had asked one of the older kids this morning during breakfast." Hermione says with a smile before she leads the way.

Before Prim knew it, it was the day of their first flying lesson and she was completely nervous. She was walking out of the Defence Against Dark Arts classroom with her fellow Gryffindors and Lisa. Lisa was trying to tell her and Hermione how flying was not all that bad. Prim had no idea that Hermione was afraid of heights as well and both of the girls had a green tint to their skin. "Really guys, Madam Hooch is an amazing teacher! And I swear no one has ever gotten hurt in the years since she's been teaching the class!"

"It's not so much the broom I'm afraid of, it's being so high up in the air." Prim tells their friend as the group walks out onto the grounds. "I've never liked heights. The last time my family went to an amusement park – it's a muggle thing with moving coasters – I freaked out on the first ride and ended up throwing up as soon as we got off the roller coaster. I cannot stand heights or going very fast. I also hated the carts that we have to use to get to our vaults in Gringotts." Hallie and Harry knew all about this because when Prim had gotten home from their birthday outing, she told them everything. Harry had told her later that day, that he wished he could have gone because he thought the roller coasters sounded amazing.

The group of Gryffindors and Lisa get closer to field that all first years learn to fly at when Lisa smiles at the group. "Bye guys. See you guys at dinner time and I hope your first lesson goes well!" The group says bye to the Ravenclaw and stand around the field awkwardly.

"So, Neville did you ever figure out what you had forgot when the remembrall turned red at breakfast?" Hallie asks as she moves away from where Malfoy and his gang was standing.

Neville shakes his head before saying, "I'm pretty sure it had something to do with my robes. I wasn't wearing them this morning during breakfast and I didn't realize that until Ella had told me when we stopped to get our bags for class." Prim nods her head as Madam Hooch walks on to the field with twenty-one brooms hovering in front of her.

The eleven Gryffindors and ten Slytherins gather around their flying instructor. "Now, I want everyone to know that if you do not listen to me and follow my instructions to a T than you will receive detention for a month!" Madam Hooch places the brooms in two rows; one row of eleven and another row of ten. "Now, walk up to your brooms and make sure the broom is on the side that you use your wand with." Prim walks to where her broom is on her left-hand side. Once everyone was in place with their brooms on their wand hand side, Madam Hooch said, "Good, good. Now, I've found that most students find that using their wand hand builds better results when learning how to handle the broom for the first time. We used to make students only use their right hand until we found out that many students were having poor results because of using their non-dominant hand instead of their dominant one." She smiles at the students and continues on talking.

Prim looks to her left to here Hermione was standing then to her right at where Hallie, Harry, and Ron were standing. She was still completely and totally nervous. "Let's start! Now, put your dominant hand over your broom and say 'up' and you must say it with feeling." Prim lets out a sigh and does what Madam Hooch said. She stares at her broom and tries to push all her fear to the farthest and deepest hole in her subconscious, so she could focus on trying to get her broom to fly into her hand.

"Up!" Nothing happened for Prim but it did for Harry. His broom flew straight to his hand and he smiled at her and their friends. Prim lets out a sigh as she focused back onto her broom. She takes in a deep breath before holding it for a few seconds and then she let it out slowly. Come on Prim! You cannot let your fear keep you from succeeding at this school. She takes another deep breath before letting it back out.

This goes on for a while. For all of the muggle-born students, trying to get their brooms up into their hands took longer than it did for the other students. For the students who grew up in the wizarding community, most of them were able to get their brooms into their hands after a few attempts of saying, "up." One of those students were Malfoy. Prim had figured it would only take Neville awhile to get his up but she was completely surprised that it took Ron a lot longer to get his broom in his hand.

Each time he said "up" his broom would raise up a couple of inches before falling back to the ground. One of the only times he got it up in the air before getting it into his hand, his broom hit him straight in the nose. Prim, Hallie, Hermione, and Harry laughed before Ron shoot them a glare. "It's not funny, guys!"

Prim, Hermione, and Neville were the last three students to get their brooms up into their hands – which Hermione hated. "Good, good. Okay, now I want you to keep a firm grip on your broom and mount it. Remember to keep a firm grip on your broom. Now, I want you to push off the ground and hover for a minute or two before leaning forward slightly to come back down to the ground." Madam Hooch blows her whistle after everyone mounted their brooms. And that was when something went wrong.

Neville had barely pushed off the ground but he wasn't staying a few inches above the ground, he was going higher and higher. There was a lot going on all at once. All of the other students had stepped off their brooms and Ella had already thrown hers down and was trying to get her brother to come down with Madam Hooch's help. "Mister Longbottom, come down this instant! Miss Longbottom, tell your brother he needs to get down right this instant or he will be receiving detention for the whole year."

"I swear, Madam Hooch, my brother wants to come down but something isn't letting him do so." Ella says and just like that Neville flies higher and starts to drift away. Prim couldn't believe her eyes. She was watching one of her friends drift away on a broom. This was the very thing she was afraid of the most. As she watched Neville move higher and higher, she felt a hand on her arm, so she turned towards the person. Hallie and Harry had moved closer to her sometime during the point of Neville's impromptu flight.

Hallie had been the one to place her hand on Prim's arm and when Prim had turned to her cousins, Harry moved even closer to wrap his arm around her. "Madam Hooch will be able to get him down, Prim. Don't worry, cousin, I believe that to be true." Hallie says in her ear and all Prim could do was sigh as they watched their friend.

Neville's broom had started to really pick up some steam and was now flying around the field at full blast. He was zig zagging and no matter what Madam Hooch could do, she couldn't stop him. Prim watched as he flies right at the group of students and then straight up into the clear blue sky. That was when everything wrong truly started to happen. Neville's broom went this way and that before he ran into the side of the castle. His broom had hit head on before doing multiple one hundred and eighties before the broom flings him off of it. Prim knew that everyone was thankful for the fact that Neville had been wearing his robes because if he hadn't than he would have surly fallen to his death. But as Prim watched him fall, the bottom of his robes caught on one of the many statues that laid atop of the castle. Sadly, his robes were torn right on through and he had continued to fall until he landed on one of the torch holders. Prim had hoped that would be the end of it and that they could easily get Neville down but Neville was prone to having horrible luck. So, he had of course came out of his robes and fell onto the ground, hard.

Each and every one of the Gryffindors ran over to his still form, but Ella was much faster. She was at her brother's side and was trying to figure out what was wrong with him. Prim watched as Ella tried to wake her brother and before she knew it, she was being pushed gently to the side after Madam Hooch had ran over to where Ella and Neville sat. With Ella's help, Madam Hooch was able to wake up Neville and while Ella kept her brother calm, Madam Hooch checked him over for injuries. "Looks like we have a broken wrist. Let's get you on up to the Hospital Wing. Come along, Miss Longbottom." This was the first-time Prim had really realized that Ella had tears running down her face. "You must all stay firmly on the ground. If I even see one broom up in the air, you would be expelled from Hogwarts before you could even say 'Quidditch'. Do you understand me?" Everyone nodded their heads and watched the group of three walk towards the castle.

"From what I've read, there should be a potion that Madam Pomfrey can give him that will mend his bones." Hermione says as she and Ron move even closer to Prim, Harry, and Hallie.

Prim lets out a sigh of relief and she could finally smile. "That's wonderful! So, that should mean he's back in the Gryffindor common room tonight!" Hermione nods her head and Prim plops right down onto the ground near her broom.

She was about to say something else when all of a sudden, Malfoy says to his cronies and Parkinson. "If that fat arse had remembered to squeeze this, maybe he would've fell on his arse instead." All of the Slytherins laugh has Malfoy tosses the remembrall in the air a few times.

"Give it here, Malfoy." Harrys says as he steps up behind Malfoy. Prim sighs because he is trying to be all noble, yet again. Harry has always been that kind of guy and Prim knew that it could end up getting him in a lot of trouble while they are at Hogwarts.

Malfoy turns around towards Harry and the two have a staring contest. "I don't think so, Potter. Longbottom should have a chance to find it himself, don't you think?" With that, Malfoy mounts his broom and flies up to the sky. Once Malfoy decided he was high enough up, he calls down to Harry. "Are you scared to fly on up here, Potter? Don't you want to save the day for your little friend, Longbottom?"

Prim can tell that Malfoy had pushed a button in her cousin and before she can even comprehend what is going, she sees Harry mount his broom. "Harry, no! You have no idea how to fly! And you'll get expelled." But Prim watched as he didn't listen to her and as he pushed off the ground and flies unbalanced up to Malfoy. No one down below could hear what Harry and Malfoy were saying and all they could do was watch and wait. "Hallie, I swear your brother has no respect for rules!" Hermione complains as she watches Harry and Malfoy in suspense.

"Harry has normally always tried to follow the rules but if someone is trying to be mean to someone he cares about, nothing will stop him from doing what needs to be done, Hermione." Hallie says as she plops down next to Seamus and Dean. Ron was being unusually quiet as he watched his new best friend and new enemy battle against each other.

"Why are you being so quiet, Ron?" Prim asks from her spot on the ground.

Ron looks over at her and shrugs his shoulders before saying, "How is Harry such a natural on a broom?"

"I have no idea how you are saying my brother is a natural on a broom because he doesn't look like one to me." Hallie tells him and he looks over at her.

"Trust me on this, he is. I've grown up with other wizards and witches and I have never seen someone who is this natural on a broom during their first time flying." Ron tells the group and Hallie, Prim, and Hermione look more closely at the two boys. Prim could now see what Ron meant. Harry was flying like he had been doing so all of his life.

They watched Malfoy throw the remembrall as hard as he could before he started to come back down. Prim knew that Harry wouldn't give up until the remembrall was completely shattered, so they all watch him shoot off as quickly as the school brooms could go. For a couple of seconds, no one could see Harry and then just like that, he was gliding down as gracefully as he could – and he was holding Neville's remembrall. Prim and Hallie both jumped up off the ground; and as soon as Harry was back down and off his broom, the two girls throw their arms around him. "Harry James Potter, I swear if you ever do something like that again, I will be writing to Gran and you will be in so much trouble!" Hallie screams at him before giving him a smile. "But… You did right by Neville." Harry smiles at his sister before looking over at his cousin.

"How could you be able to do that, Harry?" Prim asks as she looked him up and down.

Her cousin shrugged his shoulders before answering her, "I'm not sure but it did feel natural to me… Being up on a broom, it felt right, Prim. Like I'm supposed to be flying."

"That would make sense, Harry. I mean, think about it this way: you had spent over a whole year with your parents and I wouldn't be surprised if you had received a toddler's broom when you were old enough." Hermione says with a small smile. "Ron, they do make toddler's brooms, correct?" Ron nods his head and Hermione continues, "Exactly what I had thought."

Before anyone could say something, all of the students hear someone clearing their throat. "Mister Potter, would you come with me? And only Mister Potter, Miss Potter and Miss Dursley." Prim and everyone else can only watch as Professor McGonagall and Harry leave the courtyard.

"He's gone and done it now! He is going to be expelled!" Hermione sighs and stares down at the ground.

A few moments pass by and Prim hears laughter. She turns around, only to notice that everyone in Slytherin is laughing. "You are horrible, Malfoy! If Harry gets expelled, you should be too!" Prim says and she glares at the horrible Slytherin.

"Oh, should I? Who here would say that I had ever left the ground." Malfoy asked and all of the other Gryffindors raised their hands. But Prim now realized where things could go wrong. There was only eight of them compared to the ten Slytherins who would never go against Malfoy. Harry was doomed to be the only student to be expelled today. Once the other Gryffindors had realized the same, they all sat down glumly. "That's what I thought."

It felt like hours had gone by before Madam Hooch had come back down to the courtyard but really, it had only been minutes since Harry left with Professor McGonagall. "I have just been informed of the fact that two students had been flying when I had told them not to be in the air. Mister Potter had told me what had happened and I had chosen to not expel the two students but instead I will be taking points from them. Gryffindor had already lost ten points but now shall Mister Malfoy. Don't even deny it, Mister Malfoy, you were seen by two different professors. Mister Malfoy, you have now lost your house ten points as well." Malfoy glares at the flying instructor before leaning on his broom. "Now let's continue." And just like that, they are pushed back onto their brooms.

Prim let out a sigh before forcing herself back onto her broom and doing exactly what Madam Hooch had said. Thankfully, today's lesson did not require them to be too far off the ground and by the time that the group of students make their way back inside for the day, Prim could finally breathe easier. Once Prim, Hermione, Hallie, and Ron were standing in the entry way they finally brought up what they should do. "We probably should go see if Neville is alright but I really want to find my brother. Surely, Professor McGonagall had given him dentition and I'm sure Professor Snape would be doing the same thing to Malfoy." Hallie says as she bites her lip and looks around the entry way.

"Yes, we can always go see Neville after we find Harry." Prim adds in and just like that, the group makes their way towards the Gryffindor common room.

They were not even half way to their common room when Harry comes running down towards them. "Hey guys, I was just in the Hospital Wing with Neville. He's fine; he just has a broken wrist and Madam Pomfrey says he should be alright by the morning. Oh, and follow me guys. I need to tell you something! Something big!"

Prim and Hallie share a look with each other before they followed Harry to an empty corridor. "What's going on Harry? Madam Hooch said that both you and Malfoy lost ten points but we didn't understand why Professor McGonagall would take you away from the flying lessons." Prim tells her cousin and his smile widens.

"You're correct, I did end up losing our house points, which is horrible and all, but I don't think our house will mind so much when they find out that I'm the new Gryffindor seeker! Professor McGonagall called me away so she could find Oliver Wood, the Quidditch captain and keeper for the Gryffindor House. At first, when she asked Professor Quirrell for Wood, I thought she was asking for some type of punishment stick or something but it only turned out to be the best thing ever!" Harry finishes and Prim lets out a sigh of relief. She was still worried that something was going to happen that would cause him to be kicked out of Hogwarts. "But, it's a secret, guys. No one is allowed to know. I was only able to tell you four because Professor McGonagall said I could tell you since I couldn't keep it a secret from my family which only meant I also wouldn't feel right about not telling Ron and Hermione as well. The only people who will know that I'm on the team is the rest of the Gryffindor team, which Wood will be telling them at the next practice and Professor Dumbledore."

"Holy cricket, Harry! You are the youngest player to be on the team since I don't even know when!" Ron says as he stares at his friend in awe.

"A century. He's the youngest player to play in more than a hundred years." Hermione says with a smile. Prim knew she had to have read it in one of her books but it was probably in Hogwarts: A History. "Didn't Reid's mum say your dad was on the team? Do you know what position?" Hermione asked and both Harry and Hallie shook their heads. "Well, I'm sure we can find it somewhere at this school or we could always ask Professor McGonagall because I'm sure she will know. When is your first practice? Because we are going to need to work out a new schedule for homework and studying."

Harry smiles at Hermione before he tells the whole group, "It's next Friday at seven thirty pm." Hermione nods her head and looks off to the side. "Let's head to dinner because I'm famished!" Prim laughs but follows her cousin yet again.

As the group of five walks back down towards the Great Hall for dinner, they get stopped by a group of Slytherins and of course Malfoy was in the middle of the group. "What do you want Malfoy?" Hallie asked as she stood next to her brother and cousin.

"Potter, you, me, and a wizard duel. Pick your second." Malfoy said with a smirk.

Harry looked over at both Prim and Hallie before turning back to Malfoy. "What exactly is a second?"

"I'm his second. When and where, Malfoy?" Ron says as he steps up beside Harry.

Malfoy looks between the two boys before looking over to where Prim was standing with the girls. "Midnight. In the Trophy room. If you don't show up, then you're a chicken."

"Oh, don't worry we'll be there." Ron tells him with a glare and Prim rolled her eyes.

"Oh, and the other Potter. Pansy would like a duel as well. So, pick your second." And with that said, the Slytherins leave the group of Gryffindors.

Prim looks over at her cousins and friends before saying, "You do realize that is most likely a ploy to get all of us expelled, right?"

"Yeah, you're probably right but if it isn't then Malfoy will go around saying how we are nothing but cowards. And we can't have that happening, Prim. We will just be super careful when we go." Harry says as the group walks down towards the Great Hall once again.

Prim found herself later that night sitting on the couch between Hallie and Hermione. It was eleven thirty and Hermione was trying to keep Harry and Ron from meeting in the Trophy Room with Malfoy. Everyone but Ron thought that Malfoy was either trying to get more points taken away from Gryffindor or to get the group kicked out of Hogwarts. "Maybe they've decided that it wasn't worth the chance of getting caught by Filch." Hallie says as she rubs her eyes.

"Maybe or maybe we've missed them." Prim answers her.

Hermione looks over at Prim before giving her a smile. "It's not possible. I've been done here since ten thirty and they have yet to come down stairs. And it's not like they can turn invisible."

Prim and Hallie nod their heads at that. Since learning about magic, Prim had to put a lot of her beliefs in the trash bin in her mind but she still didn't believe that someone can turn invisible. And she wouldn't believe so until she actually saw it happen. A moment later, they heard footsteps on the stairs and what sounded like two boys whispering. "Do you think Hallie and Prim will show up to duel Parkinson?"

"I'm not sure, Ron. My sister and cousin really thinks that this is a trap set by Malfoy and the thing is… They might be right. Do you really think we should go?"

Ron chuckled before saying, "Yeah, I do think we should because think about it this way, Harry. If Malfoy doesn't show up, we can say that he is the coward! Wouldn't that just be grand?"

"I guess you're right. Well, come on. We want to make sure that we are there before he is." Harry says as the two boys step down on to the floor in the common room.

At that moment, Hermione, Prim, and Hallie hop up off the couch. "Really guys! Malfoy is doing this as a trap! Harry, I know you see through this!" Hermione says as she tries to plead with him.

"Oh, shove off, Hermione. Now, Hallie, Prim, are you two coming with us or not?" Ron asks as he glares at Hermione.

Prim shares a look with her cousin before answering him. "No, we aren't. We think that it's stupid to get caught up with all of this. And we also know that Hermione is right! We should've told Professor McGonagall that Malfoy had challenged us to a duel. And that he would be out at midnight in the Trophy room."

"We are not a snitch, Prim. Come on, Harry." Ron says as he throws a glare over at Prim. After that, Harry and Ron walk right on out of the common room and Hermione follows, trying to talk some sense into them. Prim and Hallie shared another look with each other and went to follow their friends. "Hermione, just go back into the common room if you don't want to get in trouble!"

Hermione grumbled before turning around only to find that Prim and Hallie had already let the portrait close after them. "Where is Elspeth!" Hermione grumbled as she stared at the empty portrait.

"Well, don't you remember her telling us that late at night, she likes to go and talk with some of her friends that reside in the other portraits." Hallie answers her. "Now, we can either stay here and see when she comes back or we can go with Harry and Ron and see if we were right." Hermione sighs but nods her head to show her agreement. And that was how Prim, Hallie, and Hermione followed Harry and Ron to the Trophy room.

Once they got there, Hermione looked down at her watch and sighed. "If he isn't here by twelve ten, I say we head back to the common room. I'm sure Elspeth will be back by then." Ron rolled his eyes and they all leaned against the wall. As the big hand on Hermione's watch ticked on and on, Prim was starting to get an uncomfortable feeling up her spine. She let her eyes trail over the Trophy room. She just knew that something was wrong, so she started to walk around the room.

"Lumos." And just like that, the tip of her wand lit up. She moved her wand over the cases and stopped. In the middle of the case was an award for Quidditch. She looked over it and saw the name James Potter, chaser. "Harry, Hallie, your dad was a chaser. It says so on this award over here." Her cousins move closer to the case and stared at the plaque.

Prim continued to walk around the room when she heard Hermione say that it was ten after midnight. She was about to suggest that they needed to head back when she heard something by the other door. "Guys, I think someone is coming and it doesn't sound like Malfoy. I'm only hearing one set of footsteps. It's Filch! I just heard Mrs. Norris meow!" And just like that all five of them sprint out the door they came in at. As they ran, Prim held out her wand and whispered, "Nox."

They ran until they didn't hear anything anymore and stopped to take a deep breath. "Guys… We are in the third corridor!" Hallie whispered as she looked around in horror.

"We need to get back to the common room! Malfoy had to have told Filch that we were going to be out of bed and that means he will be looking for Professor McGonagall to check in on us." Prim whispers back and turns around. She lets out a squeak before taking a couple of steps backwards. "Guys, Mrs. Norris found us! Find a door or something, so we can hide!" Either Ron or Harry run behind her and start towards the one door in the whole corridor.

"It's locked!" Ron whispers as Prim and Hallie start taking steps backwards towards the two boys.

Hermione streaks past them, pulling out her wand and says, "Alohomora. Come on, Prim and Hallie." Prim gives Mrs. Norris one more look before running into the room that her friends had just disappeared into.

All five of them pushed their ears up to the door and listened hard. "Where did they go, my sweet?" Filch said as he ran into the corridor. Prim thought they were going to be done for it when a miracle happened, if you want to call it that.

"I know where they went," Peeves sings.

Filch probably turned to face the poltergeist. "Where Peeves?"

Peeves chuckles before singing, "You didn't say please!"

"Tell me where they are!" Filch yells at the poltergeist. Peeves blows a raspberry being saying, "Catch me if you want to get the answer!" And that was how their miracle happened. Peeves was able to get both Filch and Mrs. Norris to follow after him.

Prim lets out a sigh of relief before turning around to lean against the door. "We just got extremely lucky. And I never thought I would say this but I love Peeves!"

"Um, guys…" Ron says with terror lacing his voice. Prim looked over at where Ron was before following his glaze.

Her eyes couldn't decide on which head to focus on – there were three and all three heads looked ready to swallow her and her family and friends whole. The three-headed dog was growling and snapping their large jaws; and Prim could feel her body try to let loose whatever she had in her bladder, which thankfully there wasn't any. She wanted to risk turning her head away from the three-headed dog and over at her cousins but she was terrified that if she did so, the beast would take that as an offer to eat her.

"Would someone open the bloody door!" Hallie said quietly but Prim knew that her cousin was just as afraid as she was.

Prim could not remember who was closest to the door's handle but before she knew it, the door against her back was being pushed open and one by one, all five of them ran out as fast as they could. Once she was out of the room, she yelped as the three-headed dog started barking and snapping their teeth at her and her friends. "Prim, help us push the door shut!" Hallie screamed with fear lacing her voice. Prim had to shake herself out of her fear induced stupor before she pushed against the door.

Once the group had the door shut, they ran as fast as they could to the Gryffindor common room entrance. "Elspeth, please be back in your portrait!" Hallie said as they rounded the corner to entrance of the common room. "Thank Merlin!" Hallie mumbles before saying the password so fast, Prim was surprised that Elspeth even opened the door for them.

They walked towards the staircase and once they got to it, Hermione whirled on the two boys and also kind of on Prim and Hallie. "I wished you had listened to me! I told you that Malfoy was doing that to get you – all of you – in trouble! Thankfully, Hallie and Prim have brains to have figured that out ahead of time! I mean, Merlin, neither of you are that daft to believe that Malfoy would seriously actually be out tonight but no, you had to be all manly and heroic!"

"But, 'Mione, we found out why Professor Dumbledore doesn't want anyone in the third corridor! Also, who in their right minds would keep that kind of beast in the school?" Harry wonders out loud.

Hermione rolls her eyes before saying, "Didn't you see what the beast was standing on?"

"See what it was standing on? Hermione, we were watching that beast's mouths! Encase you have already forgotten, it had three!" Ron tells her with irritation lacing his voice.

Prim looks back and forth between her best friend and Ron. "No, I have not forgotten, Ronald. It was standing on a trap door; so obviously, its guarding something! Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go to bed before you try to get me expelled again!" Prim watched as Hermione climbed up the stairs and she sighed.

"We really should get to bed. Night Harry, night Ron." The two boys bid her and Hallie goodnight before they go up their separate set of stairs. By the time that the two of them make it back up the stairs to their dorm room, Hermione is already dressed and pulling on a pair of black socks. "'Mione, you know Harry and probably Ron as well, feels super horrible about what transpired tonight. Please don't be mad at them." Prim says as she pulls a pair of pink pajamas out of her trunk.

She hears Hermione sigh before climbing into her bed. "I'll try not to, guys… But we really could've gotten killed tonight and the both of them need to realize that as well." Prim turned around and watched as Midnight jumped from the floor onto her trunk and then her bed. "I just want to go to bed guys and believe that we had never once seen that three-headed dog. Goodnight."

Hallie and Prim said goodnight before they climbed into their own beds. Midnight moved from the end of Prim's bed before laying on her pillow. Prim sighed before softly petting Midnight goodnight and promptly rolled over and fell fast asleep.
