Chi woke to find that the twins had already left. She stretched, sat up, and looked around the room. She hadn't studied it in a while, and she still had some time before she had to report to the medical bay. With a yawn she stood and walked around her little shelf that they had installed for her. It was almost as large as her room had been, and she was grateful to have her bed back. Berths were not comfortable for the human body. They had even somehow managed to put a bathroom in the back, for obvious reasons. She leaned against the railing and took in her surroundings. Her eyes were drawn to a mural on the wall and her eyes widened at the brilliant colors of a sunset. She gasped and looked closer, admiring the sheer amount of detail put into it. She had spent so little time in this room, and the time spent had been at night sleeping in the dark, that she had never actually noticed the different murals along the walls. Or the small little sculptures that adorned the shelves. She smiled, and then looked closer at the desk that Sunstreaker claimed as his own. Her shelf was in between the two desks, slightly above so that she would be at helm height while they were sitting there. There was another sculpture there, in process. She tilted her head, activated her hoverboard, and landed on his desk. Walking over to the sculpture she circled it, as it was just about her size, and studied it closely. It hadn't truly taken shape yet, but she could just barely make out 3 figures beginning to form. She was so focused on it that she didn't hear the door open, or the twins walk in.

"It's not done yet." Sunstreaker chuckled as he walked over to the desk, causing Chi to spin around in surprise, her hand covering her now pounding heart. "Careful there, Little spark, don't want you to have a heart attack."

Chi smiled and laughed as the yellow frontliner activated his holoform and took the coffee and fruit bowl from Sideswipe to offer to her. "Brought you breakfast."

She took the bowl and coffee with a nod, pushing her appreciation through the bond. She had no more sat the coffee and fruit down on a small outcropping on the desk when Sideswipes holoform appeared and he wrapped her in his arms from behind.

"Good morning, Bonded." The redheaded holoform whispered in her ear, he had always been the more physical of the two. "I missed you."

"Good morning Sides." Chi leaned back into him and turned her face so that she had it pressed into his neck.

Sunstreaker's holoform walked over and wrapped his arms around her from the front. Taking her by surprise and causing her to look at him from the corner of her eyes. The golden haired holoform pressed his face into her neck and inhaled deeply, causing a shiver to run through her.

"You two sure are affectionate today." Chi muttered; she was enjoying the attention. But it was not their normal routine.

The two paused as they seemed to realize the same thing, and then she felt slight embarrassment filter through the bond as well as apology. But neither twin moved.

"I…" Sideswipe sounded hesitant.

"The closeness makes it difficult to not be physical." Sunstreaker stated gently. "Our bond is strong enough to make our sparks call to each other."

Chi stood in slight surprise as she realized what he was saying. Sideswipe nodded against her head as his arms tightened around her waist.

"We… talked to Ratchet and he helped us reform our holoforms so that we could be closer to you using them." The red frontliner explained quickly. "When we're using the holoforms almost all of our consciousness is inside them, and quite a bit of our spark energy."

Chi's heart began pounding as she remained pressed between the two of them. The fact that they had approached Ratchet about this meant that they had been feeling like this for a while.

"I…" Without warning the alarm klaxon sounded, causing both twins to jerk back and the holoforms to disappear.

Chi took a deep breath and placed her hand over her pounding heart. She struggled to keep her anxiety and disappointment from reaching the twins through the bond.

"We'll continue this talk later, little spark." Sunstreaker sent her a wave of calming adoration through the bond.

"We promise, bonded." Sideswipe nodded, only he sent a wave of understanding to her.

And we won't do anything unless you're comfortable with it. He added in her mind, and she realized that he had picked up on her uncertainty.

She watched as the two of them exited the room and she felt her spark lurch with loss. She wanted to call out to them and tell them that she wasn't uncertain because she didn't want them. But because she had never been intimate with anyone. She had no idea what to do.

/Chi, I'm going to need you in the med bay. / Ratchet's voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts through the comm link.

/Coming. / She responded quickly, only to realize that it sounded as if she was out of breath.

/Are you okay? / The CMO asked in concern.

/Yeah, yeah…/ Chi had activated her hoverboard and was already moving toward the med bay. /Just, the twins told me they talked to you about… things? /

Ratchet was quiet for several minutes, and Chi made it to the med bay before he answered.

"They did talk to me." Ratchet stated without turning around. "I take it you have some questions…"

"Well, yeah." Chi rolled her eyes. "I mean… I can feel the spark calling too. I just… I don't know why I'm so nervous."

"Because it's new, and you've never had the drive to be quite that intimate with anyone." Ratchet sighed and turned to look at her. "Before you ask how I know that remember that you get scanned quite often and I know everything about your physical state."

Chi's face turned as red as Sideswipe's armor and she decided to turn and begin taking stock of her own tools.

"I doubt they would do anything you are uncomfortable with." Ratchet sighed and turned back to his own tools. "And it is quite natural that your sparks are calling to each other, after all you do share a strong bond, and your closeness to one another would cause…"

Chi paused when Ratchet stopped talking, and she turned to see what was wrong. Only to meet the optics of a smirking Skywarp. Ratchet was being held by Thundercracker, hand over mouth with a blaster shoved in his face. She immediately subspaced the small blaster that Wheeljack and Perceptor had built for her and had it trained on the purple seeker's optics.

"Now now little human." Thundercracker charged his blaster. "You wouldn't want me to blast your mentor here in the faceplates, now would you?"

Chi felt a cold fury rise within her as she glared between the two seekers. She felt Sunstreaker take notice of it and send her a questioning line through the bond. Only for her to block it out completely, she couldn't afford to be distracted at that moment.

"Release him, Thundercracker." She hissed, charging her own blaster. "Or say goodbye to your trine mate."

Ratchet's optics widened as he realized that she was barely controlling her anger, and he caught her attention. The CMO willed her to realize that she needed to allow the anger out at that moment.

"I don't think so, little human." Thundercracker shook his head. "Megatron wants us to bring you to him. Apparently, he really wants to finish the job he didn't get to finish back then."

Chi felt the twins suddenly realize what was going on, and felt their own anger add to hers.

"What… what is happening to your optics human?" Skywarp suddenly snapped at her, charging his own blaster to level at her.

"You two are fragging idiots." She snarled as she deactivated her blaster and put it on the counter behind her, raising her hands so that they could see that she was unarmed.

"Take the subspace bracelet off." Thundercracker jerked his chin at her. "We know that you carry more weapons than just the blaster."

Chi's eyes narrowed as she kept her hands in view and unsnapped the bracelet, letting it clatter to her feet. What he didn't know was that she had transferred several of her weapons to the compartment in her necklace.

"Now what, oh mighty seeker?" She ground out.

"Now, you come over here and let Skywarp grab you and warp you to our base." Thundercracker snarled. "When he gets back, I'll let your medic go."

Chi met Ratchets optics again and shook her head, she could see what he wanted her to do. But she could not place him in danger, and he was definitely in danger at that moment.

"What's my guarantee that you won't just shoot him the moment I can't see?" She asked evenly.

Thundercracker stared at her for a second before nodding.

"I'll come with you then. As soon as Skywarp grabs you I'll let your medic go and we'll warp out of here." The blue seeker chuckled darkly. "If not, I'll just shoot the medic right now, and then we'll grab you."

Chi glared at him; he had seen through her time-wasting ploy. The twins weren't close enough, they wouldn't get to them in time.

"I'm sorry, Ratchet." She met his optics again as she began walking towards Skywarp. "I can't let them hurt you."

I'm sorry…

Chi felt Skywarp wrap his hand around her as anger and fear filtered to her through the bond. Thundercracker threw Ratchet away from him, and then she was face to face with none other than Megatron. Who grinned menacingly at her.

"So, the ploy worked." He laughed darkly. "I finally have you."

Chi glared at him, knowing that her eyes had turned as red as his optics.

"Put her in a cell." The Decepticon leader snarled. "She's more useful to me alive."

Chi felt the twins arrive at the base and realize that she was gone.

I'll come back to you. She whispered through the bond. I promise. They don't know about the bond yet; you guys can find me. Just stay strong, don't go into gladiator mode. You need clear processors to get me back. As soon as they leave me alone, I'll activate the beacon in the necklace…

Be safe little spark. Sunstreaker's voice was pained, but he was taking her words to heart.

We'll come for you. Be strong bonded. Sideswipe was having a harder time controlling himself, but she sent him a wave of confidence.

Chi closed the bond, knowing that if she left it open for too long the Decepticons would sense it. They placed her in a cell, and she watched them with eyes the color of smoldering embers as they left.
