The Appliance Mafia
After my rescue, Debbie, Pierce, Oracle and I had to take another order.
I never met the appliance mafia, but from Debbie and Pierce's stories, I better be on my best behavior.
The door creaked open. I saw a couple cords pull the handle.
A small toaster sat beside an Avalir II vacuum. He gave a faint smile.
"Thank you," he said.
I smiled back. "Don't thank me. Debbie did all the work."
Diana and a tall floor fan hopped over to us. "We called you here because Sunny has another order."
"Not only me!" Sunny, a small toaster, said. "Virgil has a request."
Virgil, the Avalir II vacuum, approached us. "There are two that we want to get rid of."
Debbie smiled. "Assassination? I can do that. Tell me who."
Virgil and Sunny exchanged glances. "Steel and Barber," Sunny said. "I can give you our address."
"They're the ones who cost me my motor." Virgil added. "We'd like you to take care of them."
Tessa, the cash register, pulled out a pen.
"We live on Petunia Road," Sunny said. "It's a nice blue house."
Tessa scrawled down some notes. She handed Debbie the notes.
"Do you want any pieces of them?" Pierce asked.
Sunny and Virgil shook their heads.
"Just get them out of the picture."
