The next morning Michelle sat up in her bed and she thought to herself "I'm happy that Ruby forgave me for what happened yesterday but...I still want to make it up to her to show that I care for her and only her, but what could I do?" just then Ruby woke up as she yawned and stretched before she turned to Michelle and gave her a kiss on her cheek as she said with a smile on her face, "Morning, Michelle my love."

Michelle then smiled at Ruby as she returned the kiss to her as she replied, "Morning Ruby, did you sleep well last night?" and Ruby wrapped her arms around Michelle in a hug as she said,

"Yeah, I did have a nice sleep last night thank you."

Then Ruby looked at Michelle in concern as she said, "So, umm did you manage to figure out who was responsible for the messages on the walls of our dorm?" and Michelle looked back at Ruby as she replied,

"Yeah...I did find out who was responsible for the messages on the walls of our dorm Ruby as I think Neo did this and I want to know why and I know you want to know why as well but...I know going after Neo on my own is a bad idea seeing as I don't have a scroll to contact any of you guys if I get into trouble."

Before Ruby then sat there next to Michelle as she said, "well...umm maybe you don't have to go after Neo alone because we could go after her together as you said earlier we both want to know why she put those messages on our dorm and umm at least I could contact the others if we get into trouble."

Just then Michelle and Ruby had a knock on their dorm room door so Ruby went to answer it and as she opened the door she saw Weiss standing there as she smiled at her and said, "Hey Weiss, you're up early what can we do for you?" and Weiss smiled back at Ruby as she replied,

"Hey, I know I'm not usually awake this early but my sister told me some news...and she also gave me something to give to Michelle, so can I come in?"

And Michelle walked up next to Ruby as she saw Weiss standing outside their dorm before she smiled at her and said, "Of course Weiss, come in me and Ruby were just about to play some video games if you want to join us." And Weiss walked into their dorm room as Ruby said with a beaming smile on her face,

"I'll set up the game for us to play, while Weiss tells us about what her sister told her."

So Weiss sat down on one of the beds as she said with a smile, "Well first of all, I think Michelle might appreciate having a scroll again." Before she then fetched a scroll from her pocket and handed it to Michelle as Michelle smiled at Weiss and replied,

"Thanks Weiss, it feels good to have a scroll again after Ember smashed my last one."

Then Weiss took a deep breath before she said, "So, before I came here I had a talk with my sister and she told me some news that...I don't think you or Michelle would like to hear." And Michelle sat next to Ruby and smiled as she replied,

"I'm sure whatever your sister told you Weiss it can't be that bad, so quit holding out on us and just tell us."

And Weiss sat there and smiled as she said, "Ok well...here goes, when I was talking with my sister she told me that she was happy that Michelle was able to realise her full potential as a Maiden so quickly but...she also told me that...Cinder had escaped and that they have every Atlas military available looking for her."

The room was silent for a few minutes and Ruby wanted to make sure her girlfriend was ok so she went to give Michelle a hug but she stopped when she heard Michelle say to her, "Ruby...I'm gonna go for a walk to clear my head, I'll be back soon ok." And Ruby faintly smiled as she replied,

"O-ok Michelle, I understand I'll be here when you come back and calmed down." As she watched her girlfriend leave the room leaving just her and Weiss alone together.

Michelle's P.O.V

As I was walking to a balcony to clear my head after hearing the news Cinder had escaped I thought to myself, "How was that even possible? I saw her body was frozen solid! I know she is also a Maiden but there was no way she could have survived that attack let alone escape from General Ironwood!"

I was so angry that I punched a nearby wall until my left hand was bloody and my right hand was slightly dented before I heard a voice that was familiar to me as it said, "My, something has you riled up good huh Michelle." So I turned around and I saw Ember leaning against the balcony before I huffed as I said to her,

"What do you want Ember?"

And Ember smiled at me as she said, "Straight to the point, I like it and you're right I do want something, I want to help you find Cinder and I have someone who knows Cinder very well as she used to work for Cinder." Before I saw Neo standing next to Ember and tightened the grip in my fists before Neo held her hand out signalling she wasn't here to fight so I relaxed my grip a little.

Neo then wrote something on a piece of paper and handed to Ember before Ember then handed it to me and I held the note in my hands and read it carefully to make sure this wasn't some kind of trick as the note read, "Michelle, I put those messages on your dorm room walls as to hope to break you and Ruby apart on the orders of Cinder, and I am sorry because I didn't want to as I think you and Ruby are a cute couple together but I did what I had to do to keep Cinder happy, and...about yesterday I'm sorry I pretended to be your girlfriend Ruby and kissed you...I hope you can forgive me. Neo."

I then looked at Neo and Ember before I looked at Neo again as I said to her, "I...I can't forgive you for what you did Neo at least...not yet anyway because what you did could have ruined my relationship with Ruby and the rest of my team as a whole, but with that being said I will have to talk to Ruby and the others to see if they are ok with you helping us find Cinder, ok Neo?"

Neo then wrote on a piece of paper again and handed it to Ember as Ember read what it said as she spoke, "I...I understand Michelle, and I hope you don't mind but...I added your number on my scroll so I could contact you." Before I then sighed as I said,

"I guess that's ok Neo, but anyway I should probably be making my way back to Ruby so I can tell her and Weiss that you and Ember want to help us find Cinder." Before I then started making my way back to my dorm room.

Michelle then entered her dorm room where she was greeted with a hug from her girlfriend as Ruby jumped onto her and gave her the tightest hug she could muster before she released the hug and looked concerned as she saw Michelle's hand was bloodied and dented so she asked, "hey Michelle, what happened? How did your hands get bloody and dented?"

So Michelle turned to Ruby and replied, "Well Ruby...when I went for my walk to clear my head after Weiss told us the news that Cinder had escaped, I...might have been a little mad and may or may not of punched a wall until my hands were bloodied and dented but...there's more and I'm not sure if you and the others would be ok with it."

Weiss then sat there and looked at Michelle as she said, "I'll get the first aid kit, but you can tell us Michelle, we are a team after all and we're friends so whatever is on your mind you can tell us." And Michelle then sat down on her bed with Ruby as she took a deep breath and replied,

"Well...ok as I was taking my anger out on a wall I saw Ember and Neo and...they said they want to help us find Cinder."

And at the mention of Neo's name Ruby's fists started tighten as she said, "Neo...she's been messing with us and she left those messages on our dorm room walls to try and break me and Michelle apart, I...I can't forgive her for what she did."

Then Weiss was treating Michelle's wounds as she said to her, "This is gonna sting a little ok?" and Michelle just nodded her head as Weiss gently rubbed the tissue against her hand which caused her to flinch a little before Michelle relaxed a little as Weiss continued to rub the tissue on her hand to clean as much blood off as she could as she continued, "You're such a dolt you know that Michelle, what did you think would happen if you punched a wall? But...can we really trust Neo after what she did? And I still don't really trust Ember but...I am willing to give her chance as she did help us defend Atlas not that long ago."

And Michelle said to both Weiss and Ruby, "Look...I'm not asking you guys to trust them because I know how you feel but...I think we should give them a chance to help us find Cinder, anyway I should probably talk to Yang and Blake and the others but...Yang is the one I am worried about because I heard her say she was going to break the person responsible for upsetting me and Ruby."

Then Ruby wrapped her arms around Michelle in a hug as she said, "Let me talk to Yang Michelle, as she might listen to me as I am her little sister but...umm I trust you so if you think we should give Neo and Ember a chance then we should." Before Michelle and Ruby then went to talk to the others with Weiss.

Later...

When Michelle and Ruby tried talking to the others Yang yelled, "Are you serious? Ember I can understand because she helped us before but Neo? I don't care if she doesn't work for Cinder anymore how can we be sure she isn't using us to get to Michelle and Ruby!" and Michelle looked a little sad as she said to Ruby,

"I knew this was a bad idea Ruby."

Ruby then stood next to Michelle as she looked at her sister Yang and said softly, "Yang...Michelle isn't asking us to trust Ember or Neo but she is at least asking us to give them a chance, I know what Neo did to me and Michelle was wrong but it sounds like she wants to make amends for what she did so I think we should give her a chance to prove herself and umm prove that she isn't using us or going to betray us."

Blake then sat there said, "I think we should give Ember and Neo a chance, if they want to help then...we should let them." Before Blake then noticed a bandage on Michelle's hand as she continued, "By the way what happened to your hand Michelle?"

Weiss then stood next to Michelle as she said to Blake, "Well...when I told Michelle and Ruby that Winter had told me Cinder had escaped Michelle sorta...took her anger out on a wall until her hand was bloody but I don't think that would stop Michelle though."

Yang then took a deep breath before she said, "look...I'm not willing to trust Neo or Ember as far as I can throw them after what they have done but...if you guys are willing to give them a chance to prove they are going to help us find Cinder and this isn't some kind of trick to get to Michelle and Ruby then I guess I can agree but if Ember or Neo do anything suspicious or try to hurt Michelle or Ruby in any way I. Will. Break them."

Jaune and Ren then stood there next to each other as they said, "we agree with Yang, we can't trust Neo or Ember after what they have done but it is clear they want to help and make amends for what they have done in the past so we should give them a chance to prove they have changed, Ember may have helped us defend Atlas but how do we know that wasn't a trick to lure Michelle into a false sense of security and get her to let her guard down?"

Michelle's scroll then buzzed in her pocket so she took it out to look at it and she saw she had a message from Neo before Ruby smiled at her and said, "What's up my love? Did General Ironwood message you with what he wants us to do next?" and Michelle quickly put her scroll back in her pocket as she turned to Ruby and replied,

"Umm no it wasn't General Ironwood who messaged me Ruby...It was Neo and she wants me to meet her by the balcony to give her my answer about letting her help us find Cinder."

Ruby then smiled at Michelle and stood on her tip toes to give her a kiss on her lips before she said, "Go and see Neo Michelle, I'll just tell the others that you needed to use the bathroom quickly and...umm maybe when you get back I might have a little surprise planned." And Michelle smiled as she returned the kiss to Ruby before she replied,

"Thanks Ruby, and...I look forward to seeing what your surprise is later." Before Michelle then left to go and meet with Neo.

Meanwhile...

Ember was leaning against the balcony with Neo as she said to her, "so, do you think Michelle will show up?" and Neo wrote on a piece of paper and handed it to Ember as it said "she'll be here don't worry." And then on cue Michelle was walking to the balcony and Neo wrote on some paper again and handed it to Ember as Ember said, "So, Michelle what's the decision?" and Michelle smiled as she replied,

"We have agreed to let you both help us find Cinder, however be aware that we don't trust either of you because of what you have done in the past but...we are giving you both a chance to prove you have changed."

And Ember smiled back at Michelle as she said, "Hmm, that seems fair Michelle after all I did try to kill you twice but you showed me that vengeance isn't going to bring my brother back." And Neo nodded in agreement before Michelle said, "Well, if there is nothing else you want to discuss with me I should be heading back to Ruby to see what her surprise for me is." And both Ember and Neo nodded before they left and Michelle started walking back to her dorm.

While Michelle was walking back to her dorm she thought to herself, "I wonder what surprise Ruby has planned for me? Either way I'm excited to find out"

Inside Michelle and Ruby's dorm room...

Ruby was looking at some dresses that were laid out on their bed as she said to Weiss in a slight panic, "D-do you think Michelle will like what I have planned Weiss? I-I'm so worried and nervous because I haven't done anything like this before." And Weiss smiled at Ruby as she replied,

"Relax Ruby, I'm sure Michelle will love what you have planned for her and besides I helped you pick out some nice clothes to wear."

Then Ruby took a deep breath as she said, "You're right Weiss, I shouldn't worry because I'm sure Michelle will love my surprise for her and...I think she should be coming back from the bathroom right about now."

Before Michelle then entered the dorm room and was pleasantly surprised to see her girlfriend Ruby and Weiss but she also saw a couple of dresses laid out on the bed before Michelle smiled at Ruby and said to her, "Wow, what's all this for Ruby? Is it a special occasion?" and Ruby nervously rubbed the back of her head as she replied,

"Umm yeah you could say something like that Michelle, I-I should probably get changed in Yang's dorm while you get changed in here with Weiss." Before Ruby then took her dress and left the room leaving Michelle and Weiss in the room alone.

Michelle then picked up her dress that was on the bed and could see it was a nice purple dress with a black velvet trim before she looked at Weiss and said, "I guess I should get changed then huh?" and Weiss smiled at Michelle as she whispered in her ear,

"Don't tell Ruby I told you this but...Ruby wanted to do something romantic for you so she asked me what you liked and I told her that you told me you liked dancing and that you enjoy being in her company so that was when she asked me to help her pick out some dresses that would suit the both of you."

And Michelle just smiled at Weiss before she went into the bathroom to get changed into her dress and when she came out again Weiss smiled as she saw Michelle wearing her dress and said, "You look lovely in Michelle, but we should do something about your hair to make it look nice as well." And Michelle smiled back at Weiss as she replied,

"Yeah, we should make my hair look nice as well Weiss, I hope Ruby will like me in my dress."

Weiss then motioned for Michelle to sit down on a chair in front of a mirror which she did as Weiss stood behind her and said, "Ruby will love you in this outfit Michelle, now we're not going to do anything too crazy with your hair but I was thinking of something like a nice braided ponytail or pigtails would look nice." And Michelle smiled at Weiss as she replied,

"I think we should go with some braided pigtails as I think they would look nice with my outfit and...my mother used to love having one side of her hair braided."

So Weiss nodded in agreement before she started styling Michelle's hair until she got the braided pigtail look they agreed on and Weiss stood in front of Michelle and helped her up to her feet as she said, "you know Michelle...I'm not sure how Cinder could have escaped either because we all saw she was frozen solid, but let's not worry about that now because I think Ruby should be ready by now and is waiting for us in the training room."

Michelle then let out a little giggle as she held out her hand and said, "And I guess you're gonna be my escort then?" and Weiss giggled a little herself before she took Michelle's hand into her own as she replied, "You're as bad as Yang you know that, but Ruby did ask me to escort you to the training room so let's go." Before they then left the room together and made their way to the training room.

At the training room...

Ruby was waiting for Michelle in the training room and was wearing her black dress with a velvet red trim and Yang could see she was still a little nervous so she said to her, "Relax sis, Michelle is going to love this surprise and I know this is the first romantic thing you have planned but me and Blake helped you make sure everything was perfect right down to her favourite music." And Ruby smiled slightly at her sister as she replied,

"I know Yang, but I-I am still really nervous because I don't want to upset Michelle as I want to show her I can be romantic too, a-and I know we had a romantic day out together but it wasn't exactly what me and Michelle wanted so that's why I asked you and Blake to help me set this up for us."

Just then Weiss arrived with Michelle and Ruby blushed a little when she saw Michelle in her purple and black dress and she stumbled her words a little as she said to her, "Wow, y-you look lovely Michelle a-and that dress looks really good on you too." And Michelle blushed a little as well as she smiled at Ruby and replied,

"T-thanks Ruby, you look beautiful in that dress and I don't normally wear dresses all that much but I did it just for you, so what is this surprise you were talking about earlier?"

Before some music started playing and Ruby blushed a little more as she said, "Well, surprise! I wanted to do something romantic for us a-and I know we had a romantic day out together not that long ago but I could tell it wasn't exactly what you hoped it would be so umm so I asked Yang and Blake help me set all of this up for us."

And Michelle had a tear in her eye as she smiled at Ruby and replied, "Ruby this...this is incredible, and I recognise this song that's playing as it's one of my favourites and it was my mother's too as it is from her favourite band celtic woman and the song is called Tir na nog." And Ruby wiped the tear from Michelle's face as she smiled at her and said,

"I'm glad you like it Michelle, but don't cry and let's just enjoy this moment together so umm Michelle, w-will you have this dance with me?"

Michelle then slowly took Ruby's hands into her own and leaned down to give her a deep and passionate kiss on her lips before she broke away after a few minutes as she smiled and said, "I would love to have this dance with you Ruby, my little rose petal." As they both slowly turned on the spot as they shared a dance with each other while Yang and the others watched on.

Blake then took Yang's hand into her own and dragged her over near Michelle and Ruby as she said to her, "Would you have this dance with me Yang? After all we aren't going to let Michelle and Ruby have all the fun are we?" and Yang smiled at Blake as she replied.

"I guess you're right kitty cat, after all we did help my little sis set this up for her and Michelle and it would be a shame to let it go to waste."

So Michelle and Ruby and Blake and Yang spent the rest of the evening dancing with each other inside the training room while Weiss and Jaune and Ren and Nora were watching on as Jaune said to Weiss, "who knew Michelle was such a graceful dancer huh Weiss, do you think she picked up some moves from Yang?"

And Weiss continued to stare at Michelle and Ruby dancing as she replied, "No, I don't think Michelle has picked up any dance moves from Yang as Yang isn't exactly the best dancer out there but I can tell that Michelle clearly has had some experience dancing before and Ruby seems to be doing fine keeping up with Michelle."

After the dance in the training room...

Michelle and Ruby were walking back to their dorm room together holding hands with each other as Michelle said to Ruby, "That was a wonderful surprise Ruby, and I really enjoyed that dance with you and I would love to do something like that with you again but...I wouldn't get used to me wearing a dress because I won't be doing it often unless...you want me to wear a dress."

And Ruby smiled at Michelle and gave her a kiss on her cheek as she replied, "That's fair Michelle my love, I'm not much of a dress person myself and...yeah I would love to dance with you again at some point as I had a lot of fun tonight."

Then Michelle smiled back at Ruby as she said, "I had a lot of fun tonight as well, but I think now we should think about getting some rest while we wait for General Ironwood to tell us what we should do next." As she let out a little yawn as they entered their dorm room before closing the door behind them as they got changed into their pyjamas and tried to get some sleep in each other's arms.
