The Battle Ragna aimed its Quantum Main gun as it charges before firing
The blast fired towards the Al-Shalal Protoculture Ruins as it was destroyed in a big explosion
"Protoculture ruins destroyed, Battle Ragna, Cruiser form change" an operator said as the Battle Ragna started to change form
in the Elysion, the Delta Platoon, and the Walkure gathered around in the sick bay as they watched Ken resting on the bed
blood was staining the bed, his body bulked and veins spreading around his face
a doctor was checking on Ken as his gloves was soaked in his blood
he sighs before calling in assistants to move Ken further in as Surgeons started walking in while the Doctor heads out
"Doctor" Arad went to the Doctor as the man sighs
"it's Var Syndrome, and a very bad one" the doctor said as everyone was surprised by the news "I've checked his blood, and we found large amounts of Seidznole in his blood flow. His current condition is very worse than any Var outbreak, we have ever encountered. I doubt that the Walkure's song can help him"
"but how!? How did the Captain get that much Seidznole in him!?" Hayate exclaimed
"possibly a food combination of some sort, or he had previously contracted it before or…" the doctor said before pausing
"or what?" Arad asked
"I don't know, I'm sorry" the doctor said before going away
"this doesn't make sense! The captain didn't eat any food combination that could result in the Var in the first place!" Mirage exclaimed not finding the conclusion to be valid
"yeah! Something has to be going on!" Chuck exclaimed
"Ken" everyone looks to Mikumo as the Mysterious Venus watches Ken get operated by the Surgeons while his blood was dripping everywhere
"Mikumo-san" Freyja frowned as to see her that way as everyone knew what she is feeling to see Ken in such condition
After the attack by Meltys in Al-Shahal, Elysion and Battle Ragna were heading back to Ragna
Mikumo was standing by the sickbay as she just watched Ken resting on the bed
Everyone accompanies her time to time, comforting her
Mirage was the next one to accompany Mikumo as the Mysterious Venus just stared at Ken for hours
"Mikumo-san" Mirage called out as she holds a snack bar for Mikumo for she hasn't even left for a meal at all "you need to eat"
"I'm not hungry" Mikumo said while watching Ken, not wanting to leave him
Mirage frowns as she knew how Mikumo felt, the same thing had happened to Hayate once
Mikumo gasped a bit as she sees Ken waking up
"Ken!" Mikumo ran in while Mirage called in the others by comm
Ken opened his eyes as he sees the ceiling before Mikumo
"hey….what's wrong?" Ken asked with a smile as his hand reached out to caress her cheeks and wipe away some falling tears "why…the tears?"
"I was worried….i thought that something bad had happened to you" Mikumo said as she holds Ken's hand
"something…..happened?" Ken asked before seeing Arad and the others coming in
Ken was in a tube as a scanner shines on his body
"how is it?" Arad asked the doctors as they were checking Ken's health and the seidznole in him
The result came in as it showed that Ken had 65 % of seidznole in him
"not good at all, Major. The Seidznole is still in him and are spreading" the doctor replied seeing the results "we have to do a Blood cycle change"
The tube opened as Ken walks out and went to check on his own health
"you said that the Var Syndrome started to affect my body?" Ken asked as Arad nodded
Ken rubs his chin before he pressed a few buttons on the machine and went back into the tube
The tube closed before Ken got scanned again
A few minutes later, the result came in and everyone sees on the monitor that there was something inside Ken's heart
"scan it's component" Ken said walking out of the tube again
The doctor nodded and scanned the foreign item in Ken's heart as they see some sort of small Plastic tube
"so this is her poison" Ken said as he wears a shirt on
"what is that thing?" Hayate asked tilting his head to see the Plastic tube
"the origin of the Seidznole" Ken said attaching his robotic arm before taking off the fake plastic leg and attached his robotic ones "I thought that it was weird that back then. when the android was spying on us, one of them managed to get a lucky shot on me, must be this thing that was making me sluggish"
"we have to get it out then, the faster the better" Chuck said
"but operating to take such a small foreign item will take time and it's in the heart too" the doctor said "if a single mistake was to happen, it could endanger his life"
"we just have to take it" Ken said as his robotic arm spins around before he formed a fist "can't let the same thing happen to me twice"
"alright, we'll start the operation back in Ragna" the doctor said as Ken nodded
"in the meantime, I need to know what was happening back at Al-Shahal, I blanked out quarter way" Ken said
"come on" Arad said as he, Hayate, and Chuck leaves the room with Ken following
In the bridge, Mikumo was pacing around worried for Ken while Mirage and the others sat by
"Mikumo, I know that you're worried, but you have to relax" Kaname said trying to calm her down "pacing back and forth wont' help the Captain heal faster"
"I'm worried for him" Mikumo said before looking to the door as it slides open and she sees Ken
"Ken!" Mikumo runs to him as Ken hugs her
"easy there" Arad said "the captain just got off easy"
"it's fine" Ken said as he hugs Mikumo while caressing her back "sorry to make you worry"
Mikumo shakes her head as she smiles to him
"now that the big oaf is back" Scarlet said as she appeared before snapping her fingers and a monitor appeared showing the destroyed Protoculture ruins of Al-Shalal, and Windemere "we have urgent things to attend to"
"I know" Ken said looking at the monitor
