"Would you like to attend a gathering this Friday?" Airi was completely caught off guard when, one day, Shoto asked her if she'd like to hang out for reasons other than training.

"You're asking me to hang out with you?" Airi asked as she finished putting her things away in the duffel bag Keigo loaned her, well he claims he loaned it. She doesn't think he's gonna take it back even if she throws it at him.

"A friend of mine is returning from the States, and he wanted to have a small gathering at a bar nearby." Shoto revealed, Airi humming as she remembered the friend he was talking about.

Apparently, Airi had this guy to thank for teaching Shoto some social etiquette, though she wished he taught Shoto more.

Like not to pet her on the head like she's a pet dog.

"And you're inviting me to a gathering of all of your friends why?" Airi asked, not trying to be rude though. But she's never met his friends, they were very business oriented in their relationship.

"Because I thought you would enjoy attending." Shoto answered, not at all offended. "I know that you go to bars with Mirko and Kyo, so it seems to be your scene." Airi wasn't sure if she should take offense to that.

She only went out with Mirko and Kyo to bars when they had long days and needed to relax. Even then, they didn't usually stay for long.

"The bar is called World-Wide, and we will be meeting there at eight if you would like to attend." Shoto continued, tossing his training bag over his shoulder and back in casual clothing once more. "You may invite Mirko and Kyo if you'd like as well, Deku enjoys meeting other heroes." Shoto said before walking out of the locker room.

Hmm, she'll think about it.

"He invited us to go to a bar with him?" Rumi asked, laughing through her words as she stood in the kitchen and slammed her hands down onto the kitchen isle.

"Yeah, his friend is coming back from the United States, he says he likes meeting other heroes, so I assumed he invited you because you're the only hero."

"Hey!"

Airi hushed the bird man sitting next to her on the couch by shoving a pillow into his face.

"Ha, I'll have to check my schedule for Friday then." Rumi said before walking over and flopping back down on the couch.

"I'm going to have to as well, I might have a date that night." Kyo revealed, Airi snickering at him for yet another date. "Stop laughing!" Airi narrowly dodged a thrown pillow by her best friend.

"It's okay, Kyo." Rumi began, voice devious and red eyes focused on the auburn-haired man on the other end of the large couch.

"One day you'll find the one." Airi finished for Rumi, both bursting into laughter as Kyo huffed and pouted childishly.

The four were having a sleepover night. Which so far, it's been very entertaining.

Rumi was having fun antagonizing Hawks because their personalities clashed so much. Kyo was pouting because they kept laughing at his dating life.

Airi was just enjoying being with all her friends.

Airi and Kyo both squealed and leapt off the couch when a wrestling match began between the two heroes, neither believing the other could win and instead beginning to duke it out in the living room.

This had become a somewhat regular thing, but now Hawks came as well now that tensions between he and Airi were diffused.

Also, after receiving a big chew out from Kyo for making his best friend cry so much.

Airi and Kyo both retreated to their rooms when the fighting continued for too long, Airi leaving her door cracked for when the winged hero was done and ready to come to bed.

It wasn't too long after, the man with his feathers now ruffled walking in and tossing himself onto her bed so hard it flung her in the air with a squeal.

Keigo caught her as she came back down, his feathers setting her down gently before returning to his wings.

"You tired, lover bird?" Airi asked teasingly as he buried his face in one of her many pillows, wings stretching out across the bed and her.

"Not really, just comfortable." Keigo answered her, sighing contently when she began trying to smooth his ruffled feathers.

It's been two weeks since he revealed he felt the same. And it's been good, so far, he's not tried pushing her away anymore. It's like things were before the fallout.

Well, with the addition of lots of cuddling, kissing and flirting.

The media was having a field day though, since Keigo was having fun posting lots of pictures with kissing in it now. The commission was quite happy with the results being a sharp spike in his public approval.

Airi thought it was hilarious that the commission didn't know that their displays weren't fake anymore.

"How was the hunt today?" Airi asked, smoothing his feathers down gently as the man beside her hummed happily.

"Still nothing." Keigo answered, Airi leaning over and kissing his cheek to sooth his bruised ego.

Hawks' agency was on a man hunt, specifically for the villains working under the one named Dabi. Hawks himself was hunting down Dabi personally, wanting to put an end to Dabi's so far futile attempts to ruin Hawks' life.

"You'll get him." Airi assured him, scooting closer into his side when he wrapped an arm around her waist.

"I know, I'm just impatient." Keigo muttered moodily, Airi pressing on the feathers near the base of his wing. It was met with an immediate hiss, followed by a pleasured groan.

His wings are always so sensitive near the base of his wings.

"Well, learn some patience, Mr. Trade-mark Top Speed." Airi teased him, Keigo turning his head to look at her with a playful smile.

"Really?" Keigo responded to her tease with a devious smirk.

"Don't you- "

Airi sputtered as his wing smacked her in the face briefly. Before she was ensnared in his feathers when they burst from his back with a flourish and pulled her onto his waiting lap.

Keigo took her face into his warm hands, still holding her with his feathers to ensure she couldn't escape. "I love you." Each time he's said it aloud makes her heart flutter happily, the soft man always having to hold her face like this when he says it.

It makes it so much more intimate when he does. It makes her feel special.

Airi kissed him, his feathers letting her go so she could sink down against him and he could kiss her back.

"Well, isn't that just disgusting." Both whipped their heads to the door to see Kyo, stood in his pajamas with phone in hand.

"Kyo!" Airi jumped up to chase after him, not needing to see him do it to know he probably just took pictures of them in retaliation for mocking his own love life.

"I'd really feel better about you going if I went with you." Airi looked up at Keigo's face in confusion, not sure what he was talking about. "That bar, with Shoto." Keigo clarified for her, stretching his wings out around them before settling back again.

"I didn't know you had an issue with it, Kei. You didn't say anything." Airi whispered, scooting up to lay her head on his shoulder instead of his chest.

"It's stupid, I don't know. I'm probably just being jealous and overprotective of you because it's another guy you're going to the bar with." Keigo muttered, his eyes on the ceiling above them instead of her.

"But Kyo and Rumi would be going with me." Airi tried to comfort him with that, since she knew Fridays were his busy nights and didn't want him to spend his shift worrying about her. "If you don't want me to go- "

"No, No I don't want to be one of those boyfriends." Keigo waved her off for even considering it, moving the hand down to her side afterwards to pull her closer. "I just… wanted you to know I'm a little uncomfortable with it, I guess?" Keigo reasoned, sounding confused himself.

Airi smiled at him though, happy that he felt comfortable enough to share his feelings about things she's doing with her. Instead of being one of those guys who doesn't share anything and just bottles everything up.

"How's about this." Airi began, reaching a hand up to his head to card her fingers through his blond locks. "I'll make sure not to drink too much, and when we're done, I'll give you a call. I'll even send you pictures every so often if it helps you feel better." Airi offered, Keigo only humming happily as she dragged her fingertips across his scalp gently.

He's such a touchy man. The easiest way to his heart is just to touch him. Massage his wings, his back, play with his hair or run her hands across his arms.

It's also a little sad too if she thinks too much into it. Because he's so obviously touch-deprived.

"Okay…" Keigo answered her minutes later to her last words, earning a quiet giggle from her over how he was falling asleep just from her massaging his scalp like that. "Keep doing that… so good…" Airi didn't need to be told twice.

Oh, she's so happy to have this cuddly bird man for herself.

"This is Deku, he'll be with us today on patrol." Airi didn't expect to meet Shoto's friend until the bar, but here he was.

A tall man, much taller than her and even Keigo, stood in front of her with a beaming smile. A stark difference from Shoto, who always had the same stoical face.

He had shaggy forest green hair and green eyes, his hero costume green as well but a slightly lighter version of it. He looked like he might even be taller than Endeavor, come to think of it now!

"Hi, nice to meet you!" Deku extended a gloved hand to her, his smile warm and inviting.

Airi turned to Shoto with a teasing smile as she shook Deku's hand, surprised by the strength of his grip briefly. "And you're sure this is your friend? He smiles more than you have in all the time I've known you." Airi teased Shoto, who was as usual unfazed by her attempts of getting under his skin.

"Shoto's told me about how he's training you with your quirk. You mind if I ask you some questions about your quirk?" Deku asked, excited even.

Airi wasn't sure how to feel about a stranger being so interested in her quirk, but being that he's a hero and so far exceedingly kind, had no issues sharing.

After getting changed into her trainee suit, she met the boys out on the street.

Airi had never heard of Deku before, but he had a lot of fans saying hi on their patrol. He was kind enough to smile, wave or greet them back in return as well.

A lot like her favorite winged hero.

Deku also asked lots of questions, mostly about her quirk. He's a very curious guy, for his age. Usually people only ask a few questions and are satisfied with that. Not Deku, he asked in depth questions that she even had to think about the proper answers for.

"Deku, you're being invasive." Shoto interrupted him at one point as they patrolled through a small suburb, Shoto in front of them while the kind green haired hero walked beside her.

"Oh!" Deku blushed a light red, smiling nervously at her. "S-sorry! I wasn't trying to be rude!" Deku waved his hands in front of him nervously, Airi laughing at how he got so easily flustered.

He's such an adorable hero. Most of them are confident, like Hawks and Endeavor.

Not Deku, he's modest, kind and attentive to every word that someone speaks to him.

It's quiet refreshing from the typical hero.

"How are you still shy when you spent all that time in the States?" Shoto asked the nervous man, turning to face him with a serious expression.

Airi barely caught it, the slightest quirk of his lips into a smile.

So Shoto does have a sense of humor!

Having Deku around for her training proved fruitful. Since he had a different quirk and fighting style than Shoto, he was able to provide insight into new ways she could use her own quirk to get around.

Airi watched Deku ricochet back and forth down an alleyway, bouncing off each side of the buildings with the use of his quirk. Getting higher off the ground and moving fast, he was able to avoid obstacles on the ground that would hinder her on foot.

Airi flipped to a clean page and thought fast on a way to support herself to get off the ground.

"What're you creating?" Shoto asked, walking beside her with his hands in his pockets.

"Watch." Airi said simply, a pair of black boots replacing her normal ones.

Airi grinned excitedly before taking a running start.

"What're you doing?"

Airi ran up to a dumpster and kicked off, feeling the gravity of her body shift as she began to run quickly up the side of the building.

Airi shouted excitedly as she kept running, excited for the idea of what she could do with her quirk in the future if she could create things like this!

"Woah! That's awesome, Kubo-san!" Deku shouted from behind her as she kept running, jumping back and forth between the buildings like he did, but with a bit more struggle as her boots had to adjust to the change in environment rapidly.

Deku was lucky, his quirk made this easier.

When the three of them reached the end of the alley, she dropped back onto the sidewalk roughly, huffing for breath from the run.

Airi turned to the two men as they ran up to her, grinning excitedly at what she had just done.

What's next?

Friday came fast, and the three of them going to the bar got ready together.

Airi finished slipping on a pair of low heels as Rumi talked excitedly with Kyo about how the place they were going to had Karaoke.

"How have you never done Karaoke before?" Kyo questioned loudly, in disbelief over how Rumi had never done the thing that most people did with friends when they were teens.

"I just never had the time!" Rumi said while throwing her hands up in the air, matching Kyo's levels of noise.

Those two are so alike at times that it's a bit scary…

Airi felt her phone buzz from her pocket, pulling it out to see the poor man who couldn't attend tonight had sent her a snap.

Hawks was leaning back in his office chair, looking very bored with stacks of paperwork on the desk in front of him. He sent a pout at the camera, but she could see the devious glint in his eyes through his visor.

"Think you'd rather swing my way? I'm stuck for two hours with this!"

Airi snickered at his obvious misery of doing his least favorite task at the agency.

She took a picture of herself in her dress for the bar. "Sorry, no can do, lover bird." Airi ended her caption with a cheeky emoji before sending him her response.

Hawks texted her not even a minute later, Airi laughing more at his response to her. "Don't tempt me with that dress! Hot damn!"

"Are you tormenting bird-boy?" Rumi asked, leaning on her shoulder and reading her text without Airi's consent. "That cheeky bastard never could resist a beauty in a dress."

Airi tried to ignore the bitter taste that comment left on her tongue.

"You say that like you know it first-hand." Airi turned a weak glare on her best friend, not wanting to hear about Rumi's past relationship with her bird hero.

"Oh, trust me, I have. That's why I lost a bunch of my hot dresses!"

"Okay, let's get going before we're late!" Airi stopped them before they could ruin her good mood any further, heading for the door as fast as she could in her low heels.

Airi didn't realize she had left bird boy on read until he texted her again when they were nearly at the bar.

"Babe remember keep me posted. I don't wanna have to fly down there to make sure you're alright." Airi rolled her eyes at the over-protective hero.

"Yes, mom."

"HEY!"

Airi left him on read again, this time on purpose.

Airi ended up sitting between Shoto and Deku, not sure why Shoto called this a small gathering anymore.

There were so many people here, all of them friends of Shoto and Deku and greeting Deku excitedly, all smiles and laughs.

She wasn't sure why Shoto invited her still, she felt a little out of place. It felt more like a reunion between close friends, and she didn't know anyone there except her friends and Shoto and sort of Deku.

"Hey, everything okay?" Deku had just come back from a big group hug between a bunch of his friends, offering his usual kind smile down to her. "You've just been sitting here alone while Mirko and your friend Kyo karaoke." Deku motioned towards where her two friends were dancing away from their shared session together.

It was still a surprise that Rumi knew these people. Small world.

"I'm fine, just… feel a little out of place." Airi admitted with a shrug, glancing over at all his friends he should be talking to instead of her.

"Come on, let me introduce you then!" Deku offered with a wide smile, hand extended to lead her over to the friends she hasn't met yet.

"Oh, no you really don't- "

"I insist, it's my job as a hero to make sure everyone is happy!"

Airi couldn't resist that big goofy smile, taking his hand and letting him lead her into the throng of people dancing and drinking happily.

Airi hopped off the little stage, Kyo catching her before she could hit the ground with her heels. Rumi landed right behind her with a contagious laugh, both having just finished a song together.

"That was great!" Kyo complimented them, handing Airi a drink with a wild grin.

"You sing like a songbird! No wonder he fell so hard for you!" Rumi pounced on Airi's back, almost making her spill the drink Kyo gave to her.

Airi was complimented by many more people, a lot of Shoto and Midoriya's friends. He told her to call her by his name, since he thought it was rude to let her keep calling him Deku when he's off duty.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" Shoto asked when she stumbled back to the table, sitting next to him and pulling off her heels to give her feet some relief.

"Yeah! It's been a lot of fun, actually!" Airi admitted, surprised it turned so lively when earlier she had been feeling so out of place.

"Good, you needed a break. I'm happy you're enjoying yourself." Shoto patted her on the head again, once more treating her like a pet.

"Yo, Todoroki you still do that? Be a gentleman, man!" One of the boy's friends, a guy with bright red hair and very sharp teeth, poked fun at the way Shoto treats her, laughing when Shoto took his hand off her hair.

"I don't understand how I'm not being a gentleman. I'm praising her." Shoto responded as calmly as usual, Airi realizing then that he was not in fact trying to treat her like a pet.

"You're petting her like she's your pet cat!" The red-haired man began laughing hysterically at how Shoto didn't react to anything he said, walking away and luring a very confused Shoto after him.

Airi pulled her phone out for the first time in a while, seeing the flashing notification light at the top. Oops, she was supposed to update Keigo somewhat often.

Airi opened his snaps, seeing the picture first. A very pouty bird man with ruffled feathers perched on the edge of a building, he must be out on patrol.

"Babe? How's the bar? Rumi's not trying to get you to drink too much, right?"

That was over an hour ago.

Next were his messages directly to her phone.

"Do you want me to pick you up when you're done? I can fly you back to your place."

"Babe? Don't forget about updating me,,,"

Such a needy hero she's got.

Just as Airi was about to respond, Rumi pounced on her again. "Hey, come here!" Airi was dragged away with barely enough time to tuck her phone away in her purse.

On stage, three of Shoto and Midoriya's friends were singing, with a crowd of their friends below them. They kept posing so strongly and dramatically that Airi couldn't resist laughing and cheering along with all their friends, Rumi having her own hysterics right next to her.

But she realized why Rumi pulled her away once the three men were hoping off the stage, spotting Kyo getting up next and stretching a hand in her direction.

Airi laughed before Rumi started pushing her through the throng of people to go back to singing.

Kyo tossed her the mic as soon as she stepped up with her. "Ready, songbird?" Kyo teased, taking a swig from his drink one more time before they start.

"Careful, you might have a jealous pro hero come after you if he hears you call me that again." Airi teased him back, both laughing together at the idea of Hawks getting jealous over Kyo.

"Well, let's give him something to actually be jealous of!" Kyo announced as the music started for their song, Airi laughing and joining in to dance with him to the music of the song they'd be singing.

Before any of them realized it, the party was over, and everyone was piling out onto the street to get home for the night.

Rumi was a giggling mess, surprisingly walking straight considering she had more drinks than Airi and Kyo combined.

"Kubo-san, you should come out with us again!" Airi was hugged from the side by a brunette girl close to her own height.

Shoto says that apparently this girl has been in love with Midoriya since they were in high school. When she asked if they were together, he snorted and said no before giving a pointed look at Midoriya.

Airi had a lot of fun laughing upon realizing that Midoriya was blind to the fact that a girl was in love with him, Shoto laughing softly with her.

"Maybe next time her boyfriend will join." Another girl, skin and hair pink with a wild smile, hugged her from the other side.

"Or you could say hi to her boyfriend right now." Rumi chimed in from behind, Airi looking up in time to see the flurry of red that was her favorite hero soaring down from above.

Hawks landed in front of them with his usual charismatic smile, walking up with his hands on his hips. "No one needs any help getting home tonight, right?" Hawks greeted with, receiving greetings and shouts of excitement from all over.

Airi laughed at how popular he was, already made aware that he knew most of the people who were friends with Shoto.

Airi watched as Rumi and Kyo trotted off with shouts and laughter, following them after a quick goodbye to Shoto. She couldn't let them get too far with how much they drank tonight.

At some point though, she managed to lose them in the crowds of people heading home for the night. How did she lose a woman with rabbit ears, she doesn't know.

Eh, it's fine. Hawks will be along after her once the people let him go, and he'll help find them.

Airi felt the hairs stick up on the back of her neck though as she kept walking, feeling like she was being watched.

"Well if it isn't the cute songbird from the bar." Airi turned to see a man with a mask walk up to her. "Think you forgot this, darling." He passed a thick envelope to her before walking away.

Airi was confused, up until she saw the envelope was stamped with red wings and her name.

Special guest appearances from the now adult class 1A! Most of that being Deku, though. Who of course helped Airi realize she didn't have to stay grounded from her abilities. Ironic, considering she's seeing the winged hero who literally flies everywhere.

But ooh, I wonder who that was at the end there. What did they just give to Airi? Why is it stamped with red wings? But most importantly, what's gonna happen next?

I think I'm closing in on the end of this story. I'm like... six or seven chapters ahead of this right now I believe? I love seeing how much higher the reads get each chapter though, may or may not do a sequel when this is done. Not sure yet as I haven't finished the last chapters even.

Thank you all so much for reading! Please, do not hesitate to let me know how you're feeling about each chapter! It helps me write faster! I'm actually working on a small bonus chapter at the moment, taking a break from the main story just very briefly. But I'll see yall next chapter!
