"It all started when you saw her in your head one evening while you were at Hogwarts," said Daphne. At the time she, James and Hermione were sitting in the living room the next morning after breakfast. Hermione had arrived early in the morning knowing that James would be told everything today. He wanted to be there as she knew it might not be easy just for Daphne to explain it all to her son.

"She manipulated you into believing that we forcibly sent Luna to the other side," she continued. "As you might've seen in your godfather's memories about the wish granting dragon after we'd fought Tenille we call came to an agreement with the ghosts that it would be better to send them to the other side – the spiritual realm. They could be summoned when needed but otherwise they couldn't stay here in the world of the living."

"But didn't dad and Uncle Gohan defeat her?" asked James.

"Their fight rendered her body destroyed," said Hermione. "Tenille's soul was imprisoned in the realm of void…the same realm where your father and Gohan trained to fight her. If the entrance of that realm is closed it's impossible for anyone to get out but…"

"But?" he asked.

"There was a universal threat that came knocking on our door," said Daphne. "You might've seen it as Majin Boo in Gohan's memories." James nodded, remembering seeing the pink, jelly-like monster which created havoc unlike James had ever imagined. "The Z Warriors tried to imprison him in the void realm as well but he was too powerful to be contained there. He broke out breaching the interdimensional barrier between the void realm and our world. Little had we known that Tenille also escaped through that breach."

"But the incident of Majin Boo began after I started seeing Aunt Luna inside my head," said James. "If Tenille was the one causing it then how could she do it before escaping the void?"

"She had anchors placed inside Hogwarts," said Hermione. "Do you remember seeing your father's second year's memory at Hogwarts?" James nodded. "She did something similar to what Voldemort had done with his diary – putting a part of her conscience into an inanimate object. Only hers was a lot stronger than Voldemort's and could affect anyone without being in any physical contact."

"But…But why me?" he asked.

"Firstly because of who you are and your relation to the Guardian of Hogwarts and secondly your mental shields weren't strong enough to counter her manipulations," said Daphne. "When we investigated we found out that she had tried the same thing with Pan as well but because she's part saiyan her mental shields are naturally stronger than an average witch or wizard. Also she had been trained by your godfather's mentor into strengthening her shields. So when you arrived at Hogwarts and Tenille sensed your presence she went for you. She had two targets in mind – those two being the descendants of the guardian of Hogwarts, the one being responsible for her defeat. It was a planned revenge she wanted to play upon us."

"While being imprisoned in the void realm her consciousness in this world looked for ways for her to come back," said Daphne. "She knew that even if she somehow escaped from the void realm she could do nothing unless she had a physical body so she went for the one that was more than enough to give her a physical form along with making her far more powerful than before. She came after Hogwarts' body."

"She absorbed magic from a corpse?" James asked.

"It wasn't just any corpse," said Hermione. "And because Tenille's original body was completely made of magic it was a lot more volatile. Hogwarts' body not only gave her a physical form but also increased her powers tenfold if not more."

"She manipulated you by hijacking your thoughts in the form of Luna," said Daphne. "All that time you thought that you were trying to bring Luna back because that's what she made you see, deceiving you by telling you how we all failed her…didn't try to save her. You became her puppet without knowing."

"I…I killed a boy," said James with a shaky tone. "He only wanted to be my friend."

"Aamir and Pan worried about you," said Daphne. "One night they figured out what you were doing or what you were being made to do and so Tenille told you to get rid of them. Since you simply couldn't do it you went with the plan to wipe off their memories of those events. Aamir was your first target and since you weren't skilled enough with memory charms you ended up killing him."

James still didn't believe he had murdered someone. His whole body was shaking as he sat there looking at the floor. "If you want we can continue this after some time," said Hermione. "I know it's a lot to take in…"

"No!" he said. "Tell me more…everything."

Daphne and Hermione exchanged glances. "Your dad, being the head of magical police at that time," said Daphne, "managed to remove all evidence that could put you into the light of the investigation. The case became too complicated and ultimately it was closed with no culprit to be found. It was ruled to be an accident. It was made believable by your father who tempered with Aamir's wand scans showing that the boy was trying to practice some mind spells and ended up being in an accident of his own creation. We then brought you back home where ultimately we decided that it would perhaps be best if you continued as a muggle."

"And so you had my magic bounded," he said looking at her. She nodded.

"It was the hardest decision we had to make…as parents limiting their child's magic to almost non-existent…," she stopped, unable to speak anymore. Hermione placed a hand on her shoulder as James sat there taking it all in. "When Tenille first attacked us after escaping from the void realm we faked our own deaths so that we could all walk away from it all."

"But it didn't," said James. "She's back, isn't she? After all these years?"

"We left everything behind," said Daphne. "We dedicated ourselves to give you a normal…safe life. We didn't want our child to be involved in the mess of their parents…to put your life in danger. While we lived our lives as muggles being officially dead in the magical world Tenille expanded her grasp over everything in the magical nations all around the world. Since this time her enemies were no longer there to stop her she took her time in doing her bidding."

"What happened next?" asked James but Daphne couldn't speak anymore. Hermione hugged her, comforting her to the best of her abilities.

"You tell her," she said looking at Hermione.

"Are you sure?" Hermione asked. Daphne nodded. She sighed. "Tenille is not someone that can be called a human," she said looking at James. "Her existence itself can be termed as that of an entity."

"Like a god?" asked James.

"If you understand it that way," she said. "Merlin…the first ever magical human in existence and the strongest one created her for he desired a daughter. He made her completely out of magic. As time passed he found someone to love and ultimately they had a real girl. That's how Hogwarts was born. He kept her existence a secret because by that time Tenille had developed hatred towards humans seeing their corruptness. In the midst of all that Merlin found himself four disciples – Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Salazar Slytherin and Rowena Ravenclaw – the founders of Hogwarts and our ancestors. They were the first and only disciples Merlin ever had. When Tenille came to know about Hogwarts she came to kill her and Merlin out of jealousy and hatred. The Founders fought her but were defeated. Ultimately it was Merlin and Tenille herself. She had succeeded in killing Hogwarts and everyone else and only he stood in her path. Being at par with her, Merlin saw only one way to defeat her – a suicidal attack."

There was a pause. James didn't ask her to continue knowing well that she would speak on her own. Hermione took a deep breath in and sighed. She was still hugging Daphne by one arm although Daphne had stopped crying.

"Before Merlin had died he had made a prophecy unknown to anyone but his very close friend. His identity remains a secret even today but he was the first in line to be the guardian of Hogwarts who now lived as a castle after Salazar had buried her in the secret chamber. Knowing he would not be born again Merlin made this prophecy citing that it would be the guardian of Hogwarts who would be the only one strong enough to take Tenille down. He knew Tenille would return and when she did the Guardian would be the one facing her.

"As it turned out that man…the first guardian was an ancestor of your godfather's mother," said Daphne.

"So then how come Uncle Gohan himself wasn't the guardian but required fusing with dad?" asked James.

"Because this person…the first guardian had a son who married Gryffindor's daughter in later years. Eventually they had two kids and the lineage expanded from then on until it was your father and godfather. There lineage was combined many times and were also broken and when it was our generation it turned out that your father was a direct descendent of Gryffindor and your godfather was the one of the guardian but to be the true guardian they both needed to be together and so your godfather's father came up with a plan to merge them together and it worked. Also because of the prophecy the true Guardian could only be from the same generation as of the Founders' descendants."

"So what happened this time?" he asked. "If dad and uncle Gohan were able to defeat her then what changed now?"

"Like I said we were officially termed as dead as we wanted to lead normal lives," said Daphne. "Your god parents also did the same for Pan's safety. As for Tenille she took over the magical governments all around the world including the Magical Britain. Whoever rose against her was slaughtered. She formed laws, did rituals on people to experiment and build an army. Her ultimate goal is to acquire the entire world to create a world of her own but even now she can't comprehend the military power of the muggles."

James understood that part. Over the last decade the world governments had developed terrifying weapons as part of their defense systems. As it had happened in the past where many countries had almost came to the brink of engaging in wars with each other they had acquired and made deadly weapons unlike before. It was terrifying. It made sense that even if Tenille held the power to blow up the entire earth if she went with war against the muggles than she would lose her army – a very critical part of her strength and then the magicals together could pose a chance to defeat her.

"We couldn't attack her directly," said Hermione. "So we formed a resistance of our own - a handful of people and perform raids in her army's hideouts. But because of her control over the magical governments all over the planet she had created trackers tracking all the magical activities. Due to that we couldn't fight with our true powers and so our raids weren't proving much affective. Once you'd graduated and your father had made sure of your safety we joined the fight properly but during our last raid we were caught and your father and godfather are held captive by her now. She has her people searching everywhere for us and you. The news about us being alive has been spread all over the world and that is why Abe thought telling you about everything now would be better for you…safe for you."

"Dad and Uncle Gohan are in her captivity?" James asked. His mother nodded. "What are you guys doing to free them?"

"She have them in one of her many hideouts we don't know about," said Hermione. "Chances are that place also has some tight security and defenses. We can't simply go head on trying to rescue them because that would be suicide and not that I or your mom wouldn't do that but Harry and Gohan would never forgive us if we got others killed in such a terrible way."

"So you have nothing?" asked James.

"It isn't easy," said Hermione. "You've only known for a little time. The gravity of the situation is way worse."

"You hid it all from me and now you expect me to be patient about it while my dad and Uncle Gohan are being tortured?" said James.

"Do you think your father will approve of you to blindly go in and try to save him?" asked Daphne. "Because he wanted you away from all of his he…we sacrificed a lot…"

"Pan is in on this," James said interrupting his mother. "She's in on this with you all and not once you ever thought that you could tell me?!" his rage was boiling and both Hermione and Daphne could feel his core trying to break the limits which were placed on it. It was shocking considering how Son Potter himself had applied those limits on James' core.

"James, calm down!" his mother said in a strong, flat tone making him sit back on the couch. "We will not be discussing his anymore unless we've all calmed down. Go back home and try to sleep."

James couldn't believe this. His dad and godfather were captured and probably being tortured like hell and he was being told to go and sleep? He rose up, his entire body shaking with rage when his mother passed him a small vial.

"What is this?" he asked looking at it.

"It's a calming drought," said Daphne. "Take it, now."

James looked at the vial and then at her before removing its stopper and gulping down the liquid. It did its work in seconds as his mind calmed down. He then took his leave as Hermione and Daphne watched him exit out the front door.

"The limit is breaking," said Hermione. "If he loses it one more time then he will be found out."

"I will have everyone guard him twenty-four seven until we can come up with a plan," said Daphne. "If she finds out about him then she will snatch him right out of our hands. I can't even imagine what Harry and Gohan are going through right now."
