As soon as Honest left the cave, she began to doubt what she had said. Did I say it at the right time? she couldn't help but wonder. Ever since New Berk, Honest had felt a sort of connection towards Pheda. The forlorn human girl had just been trying to save her family, her people. Honest knew well that she would have done the exact same thing. She'd been intending to include Pheda in her circle of friends, but was uncertain what time to do it at. Honest shook her head, clearing her mind, and leapt into the air, heading for the nearest lagoon to fish.

Honest found several salmon easily, and carried them back to Pheda in the cave. Pheda was sitting up, having arranged the wood in a sort of tepee shape, and was rubbing two rocks together in an effort to make sparks, and light the wood aflame. No sparks were coming, however, and she was on the verge of giving up when Honest returned. The Night Light cocked her head, snorted, then gave the wood tepee a gentle blast. The wet wood smoked, then slowly sputtered to life as the moisture left the splintered planks. Pheda warmed her hands, and looked in wonder at her dragon friend. Honest pulled her lips back from her teeth in a draconian smile.

Pheda rotated the stick she held, glancing at the speared salmon on the end, but giving Flaming Honesty - no, Honest - her full attention.

'Toothless will be wanting to see us fairly soon, I expect,' the Night Light was saying. 'You're going to need maximum strength for the meeting and the battle; that's why I chose salmon. It provides the most energy, which you'll need.'

Pheda smiled. Thanks. For everything.

Honest smiled. 'Anytime. You can count on me to do what needs to be done.'

Pheda took the roast salmon off the stick, and ate it slowly, savoring its rich flavor, a taste she had never before experienced. When she had finished, she glanced around the cave, then looked at Honest.

Time to go? she asked.

Honest nodded. 'Time to go.'
