Hello all!
i'm back after a short break because i've had writers block for a while and sort of still do :(
anyway i have a few ideas for other stories
one will be an alternate ending to HTTYD 2
and the other will be a connection between the HTTYD books and the franchise
(the books will come first) (i will not be including the epilogues)
it'll pretty much show Hiccups rise to king of the wilder west and his fall in the beginning of how to train your dragon.
(pretty much if Dragon Furious was correct and that their are still evil people in the world)
let me know what you think of these ideas and which one you will want me to write first.
BTW there is a poll on my profile asking if you would like to see a few dragons be able to speak dragonese? please go vote.

Chapter 17- "explanations."
(the next day)
(hiccup's perspective)
Me and Cami woke up early to go for a run, surprisingly Cami wanted to go check on Toothless!
And that's what we did. When we got there neither of us expected to get tackled by an overexcited nightfury, after playing with the dragon for over an hour the two of us ran back to the village and into our house. We got into some fancy clothes. I was wearing a dark green shirt with charcoal grey pants and a charcoal grey vest. I did my hair as best as I could, Cami was wearing a silvery-green dress with silver and emerald jewellery. She also had her hair down and actually managed to get it to be flat instead of curly and crazy like usual, she looked beyond stunning! But to me she looked beautiful no matter how she looked.
"You should probably go wake up your mom or she's gonna be late for the negotiations." I told Cami
"She is gonna be grumpy after that much ale..." She warned
I turned to the stove and began to make porridge. I had nothing to put in it! No apple slices or bananas, not even any cinnamon!
"Looks like a basic breakfast then…" I said to myself
"As long as it does not contain any more ale I'll be fine." Bertha snapped walking out of her room followed by Cami
"Top o' the morning to you." I said cheerfully in a mock accent
"Aw! Cut it out." Bertha said grumpily as she pulls out a chair and sits
"You're too happy to be awake." she mumbles under breath before smashing her head onto the table
Cami walks up to me and whispers in my ear
"She is sooo drunk."
I just chuckle and take the three bowls of porridge to the table
"Glad you smashed your head into the table BEFORE I placed the bowl in front of you." i joked to Bertha
"Arg, shut up." Bertha says grumpily
I simply smirk knowing not to push her any further
After eating breakfast the three of us go to the meade hall again this time there are several semi circle shape walls all facing towards the centre of an invisible circle, behind the semi circle walls are a bunch of chairs, each set of seats is for each tribe, on the walls are banners of each tribe letting everyone know who is supposed to sit where. After everyone has sat down Tindra stepped into the centre of the tribes and asked for quiet. After everyone quieted down she walked over to our seats, before she sat down I grabbed her arm and pulled her closer
"Keep an eye on Bertha, she had a little too much to drink last night." I whispered to her
She nodded and then sat down next to Bertha
"My heir will now bring out the speaking stone." he shouts
Snotlout walks into the hall with his arm up as if he were holding something in his palm
"Snotlout. Bring the stone!" Stoick seethed at being embarrassed
Snotlout looks at his hand and realises he is carrying nothing
Cami whistles and clicks her tongue twice beside me
All eyes turn to her as she holds up the speaking stone
"I have one thing to ask." she states
"Why is Snotlout your heir?" she points at Stoick
"Because I have made him to be!" Stoick roared with his face turning a shade of red to match his beard
"Whatever happened to Hiccup?" she asked threateningly
Tindra and I both looked at eachother with an "Oh that's where she's going with this." look
I don't think Bertha was paying attention, i'm pretty sure she was regretting the last dozen mugs of ale from last night
Stoick seemed shocked that someone asked about my absence after several years.
Cami continued
"I've met everyone here and I know everyone from before, the only person missing is Hiccup…" she says
"An' what about me?" a gravelly voice says as the door opens
In walks Alvin the treacherous chief of the outcasts
Everyone in the room immediately has their hand on their weapon, including the peaceables. The only two people who don't reach for their weapon at all are me and Alvin himself.
Alvin notices this
He looks around at the tribes all gathered together.
"An' I thought we'd get the best seats in the house." he jokes to Savage and two other men
It was so quiet you could hear the fishermen on their boats on the other side of the village hauling in their nets
I got up and walked over to where the extra tables and chairs were piled up and pulled over 4 chairs to create a small section for them, then I grabbed a piece of paper and drew the outcast symbol on it then I dragged a table in front of the 4 tables and flipped it over, it banged loudly on the floor. All heads turned to the sound as I attached the makeshift tribal banner to the top (now the front) of the table.
"Alvin." I said calmly getting his attention
I wave my hand at the makeshift setup
Alvin smiles and walks up to me
"You're the little peacemaker aren't you?" he says ruffling my hair
Then he walks to his chair and sits, I return to my own seat.
Tindra tilts towards me
"What did you just do?" she whispers
"I decided to be kind. Maybe he will be kind in turn" I whispered back
"I Highly doubt it." she says
"Well if we are through with the interruptions can we get on with the discussions?" Stoick shouted
"Where do we start?" Gumboil spoke for Madguts chief of murderous tribe
"The bog burglars don't want to pay me!" Mogadon shouted
Everyone looked at him confused
"I sell them 10 boats a year each boat and the labour costs 13 gold coins." he explained
I stand up signifying that I wish to speak.
"We will pay you the proper amount for 10 ships." I said
"13 gold coins is the proper amount." Mogadon says
I turn to look at the Hooligan tribe
"Stoick you also order ships from the Meatheads don't you?"
"Err. yes?" he says confused why im asking him
"What do you pay for how many ships?" I asked
"13 gold coins for 10 ships, the same as you." he said
"Fishlegs, you're smart, can you tell me about how long it would take one of Mogadons ships to reach Berk compared to the Bog isles?" I asked
"Umm uhh to get to Berk would be 5 days to get to the Bog islands would be 1 day, and that's not including the return trip."
"Exactly why do we have to pay the same when you have to load our ships with less food for your captains?" I asked
The other tribes began murmuring
Mogadon was angry
"Fine you get one of the ships free then." he snaps
"Thank you." I say as I bow
"Do I have to be worried about what we are paying Mogadon?" Dagur asked threateningly
"Ummm! ummm! no! your next two batches will be free!" he says quickly while sweating profusely
"Good that's what I thought."
After a few more discussions everyone was getting ready to go.
"Does anyone have any announcements to make?" Tindra asked
"Umm my son is… umm no longer with us." Stoick said
"He's dead?!" Thuggory reacted quite strongly as he is the only person who actually met me and had a good experience with me.
"No he's not dead. Or I don't think he is at least." Stoick said
"What do you mean Stoick?" Mogadon snapped
"Spit it out Stoick!" Dagur yelled
"He left! Ok! He left and I don't know where." he shouted
"How long ago?" a now sober Bertha asked
"In five days it'll be a year." he said
A lot of the tribes murmured at that.
I was worried someone would figure it out like someone from Berk, or Dagur; he knows that I will propose peace before anything else, or even someone crazy like Norbert could have a theory that might end up being true, he has a mind as smart as mine just it's a little skewed. (or maybe mine is) there are so many people who might find a random bread crumb trail that will lead to me, whether it leads to Hiccup or Enginn it will still be me!
After a while everyone went to their huts or tents or their boats.
I went to bed that night extremely stressed.
I woke up the next morning and no one was in the house.
I got up and ran out the house to see all the tribes participating in the archipelago games.
I saw some of the chiefs drinking ale and laughing at their heirs in the archery competition
I saw Norbert beating everyone at the axe throwing competition
"The axe is flawed!" Gumboil shouted
"Here." Norbert says hefting his own black and golden axe into Gumboils arms
Gumboil tries to throw it but does worse than he did before, proving how good at axe throwing Norbert really is. I just chuckled and continued looking for Bertha or Cami
I ended up finding Tindra in an arm wrestling contest with Spitelout
And she was winning! But both were struggling.
Tindra saw me and let Spitelout push her down a little but then in the blink of an eye Tindra slammed Spitelout's arm on his side of the table. She lets go and slaps the table with both palms.
"What's up Enginn?" she asked after a second
"Not much, I slept in, I was just wondering where Cami is?" I asked
"Ahh. your lady is at the ring with her mother." she says smirking
My face flushes red
"Tindra stop please." I beg her
"Nope. not until Bertha walks her down the aisle." Tindra jokes
"By this rate it'll be into Thuggory's arms." I said under my breath
I walked away towards the ring
And what do I find?
Cami and Thuggory sparring and laughing all the while.
(Cami's perspective)
Thuggory has a very unique fighting style. He acts like he swings wildly but he still is watching what you do and learns of your moves and he slowly evolves his style of fighting. It's so slow that you don't notice that he is getting the upper hand until his foot is on your chest. Except I know how he fights, and always keep switching styles of fighting.
"You warthog!" I shout at him
"You prance around like a gazelle." he shouts back
"You fight like a yak!" I shout
"Better than a rabbit." he yells as he swings low making me jump to avoid losing my legs
"You smell like Gobber!" she yells
"Ewe ok too far!" he shouts
"Fine you smell like a Hippo!"
"And you've got a dragon esque butt!" he roars
I jump back a few steps
"Aww! You noticed." I mocked him
In reality I thought of him as an older brother, and I knew I was his younger sister to him.
It was all in jest really.
That was until I saw an Auburn haired boy storm out of the stands.
Then I was hit with the flat part of the sword just under my armpit on my left side
Whoa. are you ok?" Thuggory asked concerned as he grabbed me and helped me to a sitting position on the floor
"Yeah just took my breath away." I said
Just like Hiccup does I thought
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you." he said genuinely
"You didn't hurt me." I scoff
"Ummm… can you look at where I hit you, I don't want to seem to be…" he said uncomfortably
"Yeah i'll check." I said
I looked in through the front of my shirt and looked under my armpit, there wasn't even a cut!
"There isn't any blood?" I said
"Yeah I saw you weren't paying attention but I saw too late, so I turned the sword so the flat part hit you." he says.
"I'll go get Enginn for you." he says as he runs off
(Thuggory's perspective)
I felt really bad about hurting Cami, like it hurt me. She was like the younger sister I never had, well… I had a sister. Verb in play being had. Devina.(1) That was her name. She looked just like my mother, Edna. who is also no longer in midgard. They were both strong and fierce but also kind, much like Cami. That's why I treat Cami like my younger sister, because to me she is. Aside from the different color hair and different eye color they look almost exactly the same. That's also the reason we never dated for long, showing affection to someone who looked like my sister was weird, and Cami felt we didn't fit each other. Both metaphorically and Literally. She was so short that whenever I hugged her I couldn't actually wrap my arms around her comfortably.
But Enginn was short enough. I mean he is still a whole head taller but... close enough.
Speaking of… I've got to figure out where he went. I had seen where in the stands he was so I went right to his seat and found footprints that I thought were his. To be sure I asked Cami.
"Cami did you see which direction Enginn went?" I called to her
She simply pointed in the direction that the footprints went.
I raced off in that direction.
(Hiccup's perspective)
I felt angry, and jealous, and envious, and worst of all betrayed…
I was in the cove with Toothless although Toothless seemed to sense that it'd be best to keep his distance.
I was taking a page out of Astrid's book and venting my anger on some trees. Err… saplings
Then I heard a noise. I stopped and strained my ears to hear who it was
"ENGINN!" the voice called
My eyes narrowed as I growled the word
"Thuggory."
Both me and Toothless hid in the cove, Toothless crouched just above the entrance and I hid beside the entrance.
Thuggory walked in and began speaking to the rock walls around him
"Look Enginn, I know your gonna be angry but I accidentally hurt Cami and…" he said before Toothless pounced on him
"What?" he asked in surprise
I walked into his view so he could see me
"Enginn there is a night fury on top of me. Get out of here." he whispered in fear
"This night fury just so happens to belong to me." I said gloatingly
Toothless growled at that but stayed on top of Thuggory…
(Cami's perspective)
(right after pointing which direction Hiccup went)
I watched as Thuggory ran off to find Hiccup
After a moment I realised which direction that was.
The cove.
Thuggory can't find out about Toothless. So I stand up and wince when I take too deep of a breath. Maybe it did hurt more than just knocking the air out of my lungs, but I'll never tell anyone that. So I started to make my way towards the cove stopping for breath every few metres.
I finally make it to the Cove and see a big black mass and a pair of legs underneath it.
He's already found Toothless.
Then I see Hiccup standing in front of him looking angry. And not the "you just found out I'm a traitor, angry." He looked beyond angry, he looked furious, but also a bit sad.
"What is going on?" I shout
Both Hiccup and Toothless' heads whip to look at me, I assume Thuggory also turned to my voice but I can't see him
Hiccup's eyes changed. I hadn't even noticed that they looked different until they returned to their normal form.
Hiccup's face seemed to change to fit different emotions as he thought about how he was going to answer. from sadness to anger to fury to remorse.
Hiccup just sat down on the ground heavily and waved his hand to tell Toothless to let Thuggory up.
Toothless moved back slowly
And Thuggory sat up
"Can someone explain what is going on?" he asked
"Sure but first Enginn has to tell me what is going on." I said threateningly
"I was… jealous." he said after a long pause
"Of what?" me and Thuggory asked in unison
"That. you even finish eachothers sentences." he said glumly
"What does that have to do with anything?" I asked
"Look Cami you should just forget about me, go live a happy life being married to Thuggory." he said despondently
"What?" me and Thuggory asked in unison again
"Go. Marry. Thuggory." he said
"K Hiccup slow down, what does marriage have to do with anything?" I asked
"You like Thuggory. Thuggory likes you. You're both the heirs of separate tribes. There is literally nothing stopping you except me, because I love you Cami. and because I love you i'm asking you to forget about me and be with the man YOU love." He says
I was shocked!
"You idiot. The man I love is you!" I say pointing at Hiccup
"That was awkward for all of us you meant to point at him but instead you pointed at me(2)" Hiccup said
"No it's you, why do you think I always defend you even when there is no argument against you! Why do you think I trusted you to take me for a ride on the most feared dragon ever! I did something for you that could land me in Berk's jail. For you!"
"But when Bertha announced us betrothed you would barely look at me or talk to me?" He asked confused
"That's because I did love you then, and I was embarrassed that you make me happy without even trying. 'Ze Great Camicazi falls for Hiccup!'" I said
"But…" he started
"Oh shut up and kiss me." I said before grabbing his vest and pulling him close so our lips meet.
(Thuggory's perspective)
I knew it was coming, I just didn't know when.
They were so in love… but we all need some answers
I looked over at them and they were still kissing
I look to my left and see the Night fury just sitting there, it had the expression of boredom.
"Third wheel, right?" I said in a bored tone
The dragon warbled and it almost sounded like he was sighing the word yeah.
The dragon actually answered!
Albeit not in Norse but it warbled.
I looked back at the short couple
They were still kissing!
"Hey Cami, whatever happened to Bertha's rule of 'no children till your 25?'"
This got both of them to stop kissing and backpedal away from each other as fast as their faces flushed red
"So who explains first?" I asked
Everyone started to find a sudden interest at their feet or a bug on the back of their neck
I didn't want to start because I don't like to think of my mom and my sister, it brings back too many sad memories and I know if I start crying I won't be able to stop.
(Hiccup's perspective)
I had suddenly found a great interest in my feet. I didn't want to be the first one to explain and by the look of Thuggory and Cami they didn't want to either.
You would think that I would want to go last, but I actually wanted to go second.
If you go first you are the brave one of the group which obviously isn't me. But if you go last you are the wimp, and I don't want to look like a wimp in front of Cami now! But if I explained second then I'm right in the middle and I'm neither a wimp nor brave. However I realised I have the most explaining to do…
"Fine. i'll start." I sighed
Both Thuggory and Cami sighed in relief
So over the next hour and a half I explained why I was in Bog territory, why I was called Enginn, why I had a pet dragon and how I had a pet dragon.
"So who's next?" I asked after I had finished explaining
(Cami perspective)
I looked at Thuggory who was trying to hide his grief and anxiety about talking about his family
He had opened up to me about his family earlier this year so I somewhat knew what he was thinking about.
"I'll save you." I said cheekily to Thuggory
"Thanks." Thuggory said
"I…" I stopped
I had no idea where to start, how to end or what to say!
"Most boys try to impress me with strength, or how many dragons they've killed or good looks. But honestly I don't care about those. Hiccup, you are kind and caring, and…" I said
Do I dare say cute? I thought to myself
"...cute." I finished, because i've already told him I love him so what the heck.
"You are the least viking like viking ever, but you don't need to be because you're mine, and that's all that matters." I said smirking
"Although the only you could be to make it better is shorter." I said as I walked up to him and had to stand on my tippy-toes for my mouth to reach his.
After a quick kiss Hiccup looked at Thuggory who had a single tear rolling down his cheek
"Thuggory are you crying?" Hiccup asked surprised
"Shut up!" Thuggory snapped
I whispered in Hiccup's ear that his mother and sister died and he was thinking of them.
"Oh." he whispered back
(1)"My sister was grabbed by a dragon during a dragon raid… it was a monstrous nightmare… My mother and I saw and we both ran after it. I had a spear in my hand and was about to throw it when I realised I might hit my sister. So I grabbed a rock and threw it, it hit the dragon in the leg causing it to release her halfway as she was held by both claws… my sister struggled to get out of the dragons grasp and eventually she did… however she didn't look at where she would fall when she was released… she fell into a large green cloud and my mother ran in after her… I however was hesitant… I watched my mothers silhouette walk over to my sisters silhouette… then I heard *crack* *crack*
My eyes widened in fear. But not for me, for them
The cloud erupted in a ball of flame. I was knocked back and knocked unconscious when I woke up a few minutes later the smoke was gone and the… they were visible…" Thuggory said shuddering the whole time
The end sent chills down my spine.
Hiccup walks slowly up to the rock Thuggory was now sitting on.
Hiccup sat down next to him.
"I don't know what that feels like, but i've felt something similar. I lost my mother exactly a year after I was born. And grew up with only one person who actually cared about me, that man wasn't even my own father. The only other people who cared were Cami and her mother who I only saw once a year. Then when I turned 6 I wasn't allowed to see her. The next time I saw either of them was 9 years later when I was 15. That's when I left Berk just about a year ago." he said.
Thuggory looked up at him
"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding" Thuggory said
"No no. I should be." Hiccup said putting his hand to his chest in sincerity
*CRICKCKCK*
Two pairs of green eyes and one pair of brown eyes(3) turn to the sound.
We see Toothless dragging a sapling around in the dirt!
He uses most of the cove for his "drawing" which has no intelligible meaning.
Toothless drops the sapling and then flies up to get a view of what he has done.
(Omniscient Narrator)
What the three teens in the cove didn't know was that the "random drawing" Toothless had done was not random at all! All you needed was a bird's eye view, or in this case a dragon's eye view. If you had that you could clearly make out the outline of a skinny viking boy standing in front of the artist of this very drawing! Because of the dragon's sharp eyesight the drawing was done in amazing detail from the flaps on the dragon's head to the messy hair of the viking boy in front of him.
The black dragon stared down at his creation with a Toothless smile.

(2) this line was inspired by the scene in Megamind when Roxanne hugs Bernard/Megamind instead of Hal.
(3) i'm not sure exactly what Thuggory looks like because honestly he is one of the characters that we get the least information for, all it says is he is a brutish boy that is 15. That's it! no eye color or hair color or anything about what he looks like so in my eyes i picture him tall and lean but muscular with brown eyes and blond hair.
